A new method is developed for the determination of perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in sewage sludge samples. The analytes in sewage sludge samples are extracted by methanol and formic acid, cleaned by C18 solid-phase extraction, then separated, identified and quantitated by liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC–QTOF-MS). A C18 column (150 mm × 2.1 mm, 3.5 μm) with gradient elution of MeOH–H2O (60:40) containing 5 mmol/L ammonium acetate and MeOH–H2O (80:20) is used for the chromatographic separation. [M−K] ions at m/z 498.93 for PFOS and [M−COOH] ion at m/z 368.97 for PFOA are selected for QTOF-MS in the negative electrospray ionization mode. The detection limits for PFOS and PFOA in sewage sludge samples are 0.5 and 0.8 ng/g, respectively. The spiked recoveries are in the range of 85–114 and 71–98% for PFOS and PFOA, respectively. The proposed method is successfully applied to the analysis of PFOS and PFOA in 16 sewage sludge samples from China. PFOS and PFOA are detected in most sewage sludge samples and the concentrations of PFOS and PFOA are up to 5383 and 4780 ng/g (oven dry weight), respectively.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method for the determination of neostigmine by flow injection analysis (FIA) coupled with an ion associate extraction has been developed. The three-line manifold was assembled. Neostigmine(200 μl) was injected into a distilled water stream and the pH was adjusted to 10 with a borate–phosphate buffer solution. Then, the stream was mixed with the ion-pairing tetrabromophenolphthalein ethylester (TBPEH)-1,2-dichloroethane solution. After phase separation with a double membrane phase separator, absorbance was measured at 610 nm. A linear calibration graph was obtained between 1×10−7 mol l−1 and 5×10−7 mol l−1 of neostigmine. Up to 48 samples h−1 could be processed with a relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of 0.5% (n=5) for 4×10−7 mol l−1 neostigmine. The proposed system was applied to the simple, reproducible and rapid determination of neostigmine in commercial pharmaceuticals.  相似文献

Rate constants for the reactions of OH with CH3CN, CH3CH2CN and CH2=CH-CN have been measured to be 5.86 × 10−13 exp(−1500 ± 250 cal mole−1/RT), 2.69 × 10−13 exp(−1590 ± 350 cal mole−1/RT and 4.04 × 10−12 cm3 molecule−1 s−1, respectively in the temperature range 298–424 K. These results are discussed in terms of the atmospheric lifetimes of nitrfles.  相似文献

The polarographic reduction of lead in the presence of selenite gives rise to an additional peak corresponding to the reduction of lead (Pb) on adsorbed selenium (Se) on mercury at −0.33 V. The selenium and lead content can be determined using this peak by the addition of a known amount of one of these ions first and then the second ion. The linear domain range of lead is 5.0×10−7–2.0×10−5 M and for selenium 5.0×10−7–1.0×10−5 M. Using this method 4.90×10−7 M Se(IV) and 1.47×10−6 M Pb(II) in a synthetic sample could be determined with a relative error of +2.0% and 1.8%, respectively (n=4). A recovery test after acid digestion for a synthetic sample was 97% for selenium and 96.5% for lead. The method was applied to 1 ml of digested blood, and 328±23 μg l−1 Se(IV) and 850±62 μg l−1 Pb(II) could be determined with a 90% (n=5) confidence interval.  相似文献

Trace amounts of nickel(II) can function as a trigger (=reaction initiator) in an autocatalytic reaction with the sodium sulfite/hydrogen peroxide system. Based on this finding, sub-μg L−1 levels of nickel(II) were determined by a time measurement using the autocatalytic reaction. The detection range using the above method was 10−9–10−5 M, the detection limit (3σ) was 8.1 × 10−10 M (0.047 μg L−1), and the relative standard deviation was 2.66% at nickel(II) concentration of 10−7 M (n = 7). This method was applied to length detection-flow injection analysis. The detection range for the flow injection analysis was 2 × 10−9–2 × 10−3 M. The detection limit (3σ) was 1.4 × 10−9 M (0.082 μg L−1), and the relative standard deviation was 1.86 at initial nickel(II) concentration of 10−6 M (n = 7).  相似文献

Lanthanum(III) has been found to catalyse the reaction of thiosulphate with cyanide. The effects of pH, reaction time and temperature, amount of cyanide and lanthanum, and order of addition of reagents have been investigated. Temperature has little effect in the range 10–30°, but at both 35° and 40° the rate is noticeably faster. Reaction is complete at room temperature in 1.5 hr at pH 9.3–9.6, and in 3 hr at pH 9.1–9.6. The method can be applied to the determination of 1.0 × 10−5−6.0 × 10−4M thiosulphate, with a relative standard deviation of 0.3% for 4 × 10−4M thiosulphate.  相似文献

By designing a novel flow-through electrolytic cell (FEC), bromine was produced near to the surface of the platinum electrode by electrochemical oxidation of acidic KBr. The fast and weak chemiluminescence signal produced by the chemical reaction of the electrogenerated bromine with H2O2 was greatly enhanced by tetracyclines Based on these observations, a new, sensitive and simple electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) method for the determination of tetracyclines was developed. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the calibration graphs are linear over the range 3.0×10−8 to 5.0×10−5 g ml−1 for tetracycline, 2.0×10−7 to 2.4×10−5 g ml−1 for oxytetracycline and 1.0×10−7 to 5.0×10−5 g ml−1 for chlortetracycline. The limits of detection (S/N=3) are 1.0×10−8 g ml−1 for tetracycline, 7.0×10−8 g ml−1 for oxytetracycline and 1.5×10−7 g ml−1 for chlortetracycline. For the determination 5.0×10−7 g ml−1 tetracycline, the relative standard deviation was <5%. The proposed method was used to determine tetracyclines in pharmaceutical formulations.  相似文献

Antigen I/II can be found on streptococcal cell surfaces and is involved in their interaction with salivary proteins. In this paper, we determine the adsorption enthalpies of salivary proteins to Streptococcus mutans LT11 and S. mutans IB03987 with and without antigen I/II, respectively, using isothermal titration calorimetry. In addition, protein adsorption to the cell surfaces was determined spectrophotometrically. S. mutans LT11 with antigen I/II, yielded a much higher, exothermic adsorption enthalpy at pH 6.8 (ranging from −2073 × 10−9 to −31707 × 10−9 μJ per bacterium) when mixed with saliva than did S. mutans IB03987 (−165 × 10−9 to −1107 × 10−9 μJ per bacterium) at all bacterial concentrations studied (5 × 109, 5 × 108, and 5 × 107 ml−1), largest effects per bacterium being observed for the lowest concentration. However, the enthalpy of salivary protein adsorption to S. mutans LT11 became smaller at pH 5.8. Adsorption isotherms for the S. mutans LT11 showed considerable protein adsorption at pH 6.8 (1.2–2.1 mg/m2), that decreased only slightly at pH 5.8 (1.1–1.6 mg/m2), with the largest amount adsorbed at the lowest bacterial concentration. This suggests that the protein(s) in the saliva with the strongest affinity for antigen I/II is (are) readily depleted from saliva. In conclusion, antigen I/II surface proteins on S. mutans play a determinant role in adsorption of salivary proteins through the creation of enthalpically favorable adsorption sites.  相似文献

Two novel uranyl PVC matrix membrane sensors responsive to uranyl ion are described. The first sensor incorporates tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate (TEHP) as both electroactive material and plasticizer and sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) as an ion discriminator. The sensor displays a rapid and linear response for UO22+ ions over the concentration range 1×10−1–2×10−5 mol l−1 UO22+ with a cationic slope of 25.0±0.2 mV decade−1. The working pH range is 2.8–3.6 and the life span is 4 weeks. The second sensor contains O-(1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-1-pyridyl)-N,N,N′,N′-bis(tetra-methylene)uronium hexafluorophosphate (TPTU) as a sensing material, sodium tetraphenylborate as an ion discriminator and dioctyl phenylphosphonate (DOPP) as a plasticizer. Linear and stable response for 1×10−1–5×10−5 mol l−1 UO22+ with near-Nernstian slope of 27.5±0.2 mV decade−1 are obtained. The working pH range is 2.5–3.5 and the life span of the sensor is 6 weeks. Interference from many inorganic cations is negligible for both sensors. However, interference caused by some ions (e.g. Th4+, Cu2+, Fe3+) is eliminated by a prior ion exchange or solvent extraction step. Direct potentiometric determination of as little as 5 μg ml−1 uranium in aqueous solutions shows an average recovery of 97.2±1.3%. Application for the determination of uranium at levels of 0.01–1 wt.% in naturally occurring and certified ores gives results with good correlation with data obtained by X-ray fluorescence.  相似文献

At 25°C, I = 1.0 M (CF3SO3Li++CF3SO3H), [H+] = 0.034–0.274 M and λ = 453 nm, the rate equation for the oxidation of Ti(H2O), 63+ by bromine was found to be: −d/[Br2]T/dt=kK/[Br2][TiIII]/[H+]+K+kK/[Br3][TiIII]/[H++K, where k = 9.2 × 10−3 M −1 s −1 and K = 4.5 × 10−3 M. At [H+] = 1.0 M, [Br] = 0.05–0.4 M, the apparent second-order rate constant decreases as [Br] increases.

The pH-dependence of the oxidation of TiIII-edta by bromine is interpreted in terms of the change in identity of the TiIII-edta species as the pH of the reaction medium changes. The second-order rate constants were fitted using a non-linear least-square computer program with (1/k0edta)2 weighting into an equation of the form: k0edta =k1+k2K1[H+]−1+k3K1K2[H+]−2/1+K1[H+[H+−1+K1K2[H+]−2, with K1 and K2 fixed as earlier determined at 9.55 × 10−3 and 2.29 × 10−9 M, respectively, for the oxidation of bromine. k1=k2=(3.1±0.32)×103M−1s−1 k3=(2.3±0.45)×106N−1s−1.

It is proposed that these electron transfer reactions proceed by univalent changes with the production of Br2.− as a transient intermediate. An outer-sphere mechanism is proposed for these reactions. The homonuclear exchange rate for TiIII-edta+TiIV-edta is estimated at 32 M−1 s−1.  相似文献

Amphiphile bilayer films are obtained from 1,2 dipalmitoyl-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC): bilayer lipid membranes (BLM) and Newton black films (NBF), through thinning of the respective thin liquid films, thus allowing for a very precise determination of the moment of their formation. Stability (or rupture) and formation of BLM and NBF are considered from a unified point of view with the microscopic theory of Kashchiev–Exerowa [J. Colloid Interface Sci., 77 (1980) 501–511], based on the formation of nanoscopic holes in them. BLM and NBF are obtained and studied with the microinterferometric method of Scheludko–Exerowa in its contemporary version. The equivalent thickness of both BLM (in benzene solution between two water phases with 0.1 M NaCl) and NBF in aqueous DPPC solution (in the presence of 0.1 M NaCl) is determined as being hw = 7.0 nm for BLM and hw = 7.8 nm for NBF. By means of the dependences: BLM lifetime versus DPPC concentration and probability for BLM formation versus DPPC concentration, it is established that there exist metastable BLM and stable NBF. The good fit between the experimental results of τ(C) dependence and theory in the case of BLM allow to determine the three constants: pre-exponential factor A = 1.5 × 10−3 s, related to the process kinetics; constant B = 20.2 ± 0.2, related to the specific hole energy γ = 1.7 × 10−11 J/m and the equilibrium concentration Ce = 6 × 10−4 ± 7.2 × 10−6 m/l. The specific hole linear energy γ = 1.7 × 10−11 J/m determined as well as the binding energy Q between first neighbor molecules in the bilayers Q = 1.48 × 10−19 J (36 kT) are lower than the ones determined for DPPC foam bilayer in gel state γ = 9.1 × 10−11 J/m and Q = 55 kT. This means that interaction is weaker in the case of BLM. The critical concentration Cc at which bilayer formation starts is: for BLM Cc = 30 μg/ml and for NBF Cc = 70 μg/ml. This concentration characterizes quantitatively the formation of the amphiphile bilayer and is a very useful parameter that can be used for various purposes.  相似文献

A new spectrophotometric flow-injection (FI) method is proposed for the determination of glucose based on the redox reaction of hydroquinone with iron(III). When a glucose solution containing quinone is passed through the immobilized glucose oxidase column introduced in FI system, quinone is reduced to hydroquinone by glucose. In the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), iron(III) is then quantitatively reduced by hydroquinone to iron(II) followed by the formation of iron(II)-phen complex (λmax=510 nm). An FI peak observed at 510 nm corresponds to the concentration of glucose. The wide dynamic range for glucose was obtained in the range of 1×10−6–1×10−3 mol l−1 at a sampling rate of 24 h−1 and the detection limit (S/N=3) was 5×10−7 mol l−1. Relative standard deviations were 0.78, 0.44 and 0.23% (n=5) for 5×10−6, 5×10−5 and 5×10−4 mol l−1 of glucose, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of glucose in control blood sera, human blood plasma and wine.  相似文献

To evaluate the contribution of local pulsed heating of light-absorbing microregions to biochemical activity, irradiation of Escherichia coli was carried out using femtosecond laser pulses (λ = 620 nm, τp=3 × 10−13 s, fp = 0.5 Hz, Ep = 1.1 × 10−3J cm−2, Iav = 5.5 × 10−4 W cm−2, Ip = 109 W cm−2) and continuous wave (CW) laser radiation (λ = 632.8 nm, I = 1.3 W cm−2). The irradiation dose required to produce a similar biological effect (a 160%–190% increase in the clonogenic activity of the irradiated cells compared with the non-irradiated controls) is a factor of about 103 lower for pulsed radiation than for CW radiation (3.3 × 10−1 and 7.8 × 102 J cm−2 respectively). The minimum size of the microregions transiently heated on irradiation with femtosecond laser pulses is estimated to be about 10 Å, which corresponds to the size of the chromophores of hypothetical primary photoacceptors—respiratory chain components.  相似文献

Electrical and electrokinetic phenomena (electrical resistance, streaming potential and membrane potential) in a porous polysulfone membrane was studied in the framework of the linear thermodynamics of irreversible processes and the phenomenological coefficients were determined for different concentrations of NaCl and MgCl2 solutions (10−3M<5×10−2M). From experimental values, other characteristic membrane parameters such as the concentration of fixed charge in the membrane (=−3×10−3M), the ionic transport numbers and permeabilities through the membrane (t(Na+)=0.392 and t(Mg+2)=0.363; P(Na+)=3.5×l0−8m/sec and P(Mg+2)=2.9×10−8m/sec) were also obtained. Membrane surface-electrolyte solution interface was characterized by zeta potential values. The effect of both salt concentration and pH on zeta potential results was also studied.  相似文献

The behavior of the ciprofloxacin (CPFX) complex with copper, Cu(II)L2, at a mercury electrode has been investigated in borax–boric acid buffer. The adsorption phenomena were observed by linear sweep voltammetry. The mechanism of the electrode reaction was found to be reduction of Cu(II)L2 adsorbed on the surface of the electrode by an irreversible charge transfer to metal amalgam, Cu(0)(Hg). In the presence of DNA, the formation of the electrochemically non-active complexes Cu(II)L2–DNA results in the decrease of the equilibrium concentration of Cu(II)L2 and its peak current. Under the optimum conditions, the decrease of the peak current is proportional to DNA concentration. The linear ranges are 6.67×10−8 to 1.20×10−5 g ml−1 for calf thymus DNA (ctDNA), 3.30×10−8 to 2.33×10−6 g ml−1 for fish sperm DNA (fsDNA) and 1.0×10−8 to 1.2×10−6 g ml−1 for yeast RNA. The detection limits are 5.00×10−9, 3.00×10−9 and 2.50×10−9 g ml−1, respectively. This method exhibits good recovery and high sensitivity.  相似文献

The reaction: F + HCl→ HF (v 3) + Cl (1), has been initiated by photolysing F2 using the fourth-harmonic output at 266 nm from a repetitively pulsed Nd: YAG laser By analysing the time-dependence of the HF(3,0) vibrational chemiluminescence, rate constants have been determined at (296 ± 5) K for reaction (1), k1 = (7.0 ± 0.5) × 10−12 cm3 molecule−1 s−1, and for the relaxation of HF(v = 3) by HCl, CO2, N2O, CO, N2 and O2: kHCl = (1.18 ±0.14) × 10−11 kCO2 = (1.04 ± 0. 13) × 10−12, kN2O = (1.41 ± 0.13) × 10−11 kCO = (2.9 ± 0.3) × (10−12, kN2 = (7.1 ± 0.6) × 10−14 and kO2 = (1.9 ± 0.6) × 10−14 cm3molecule−1s−1.  相似文献

The second-order rate constants of gas-phase Lu(2D3/2) with O2, N2O and CO2 from 348 to 573 K are reported. In all cases, the reactions are relatively fast with small barriers. The disappearance rates are independent of total pressure indicating bimolecular abstraction processes. The bimolecular rate constants (in molecule−1 cm3 s−1) are described in Arrhenius form by k(O2)=(2.3±0.4)×10−10exp(−3.1±0.7 kJmol−1/RT), k(N2O)=(2.2±0.4)×10−10exp(−7.1±0.8 kJmol−1/RT), k(CO2)=(2.0±0.6)×10−10exp(−7.6±1.3 kJmol−1/RT), where the uncertainties are ±2σ.  相似文献

A dual-beam thermal lens spectrometer (TLS) with a pulse pump–probe coaxial configuration was coupled to commercially available supercritical fluid extraction equipment using a high-pressure flow cell interface. Because of its feasible critical parameters, moderate cost and good thermooptical properties, carbon dioxide was used as supercritical solvent. Using trans-β-carotene as analyte, several factors related with the extraction process under continuos flow conditions were studied in order to establish their influence in the thermal lens signal magnitude. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the relative TLS signal area showed a linear relationship with the concentration of trans-β-carotene from 1.5×10−6 to 8×10−8 M (n=5, r=0.998) in the supercritical phase. Thus, the viability of on-line detection for supercritical fluid extraction with a pulse thermal lens spectrometer was demonstrated.  相似文献

Electrochemical studies of famotidine were carried out using voltammetric techniques: cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep and square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry. The dependence of the current on pH, buffer concentration, nature of the buffer, and scan rate was investigated. The best results for the determination of famotidine were obtained in MOPS buffer solution at pH 6.7. This electroanalytical procedure enabled to determine famotidine in the concentration range 1 × 10−9–4 × 10−8 mol L−1 by linear sweep adsorptive stripping voltammetry (LS AdSV) and 5 × 10−10–6 × 10−8 mol L−1 by square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SW AdSV). Repeatability, precision and accuracy of the developed methods were checked. The detection and quantification limits were found to be 1.8 × 10−10 and 6.2 × 10−10 mol L−1 for LS AdSV and 4.9 × 10−11 and 1.6 × 10−10 mol L−1 for SW AdSV, respectively. The method was applied for the determination of famotidine in urine.  相似文献
