Polycrystalline samples of the Lu1−xLaxMn2O5 solid solution system were synthesized under moderate conditions for compositions with x up to 0.815. Due to the large difference in ionic size between Lu3+ and La3+, significant changes in lattice parameters and severe lattice strains are present in the solid solution. This in turn leads to the composition dependent thermal stability and magnetic properties. It is found that the solid solution samples with x≤0.487 decompose at a single well defined temperature, while those with x≥0.634 decompose over a temperature range with the formation of intermediate phases. For the samples with x≤0.487, the primary magnetic transition occurs below 40 K, similar to LuMn2O5 and other individual RMn2O5 (R=Bi, Y, and rare earth) compounds. In contrast, a magnetic phase with a 200 K onset transition temperature is dominant in the samples with x≥0.634.  相似文献

Excitation spectra of Na fluorescence in mixtures with CF4 display a new band shifted by the energy of one-vibrational quantum of the IR active ν3-mode of CF4 (1281 cm−1) from Na 3d states. This band is attributed to a Na(3s)CF4(ν3 = 0) → Na(3d)CF4(ν3 = 1) transition and its intensity is explained by coupling with Na(4p)CF4(v3 = 0) resonance state which lies  180 cm−1 below in energy. An analogous satellite of the Na 6p state combined with the same vibration and lying close to the Na 7p state is reported and discussed.  相似文献

A careful transmission electron microscopy (TEM) investigation of an incommensurately modulated member of the (Bi1−xSrx)Fe3+O3−x/2x/2, 0.2≤x≤0.67, solid solution has been carried out. High resolution (HR) TEM imaging is used to show the presence of at least 6-fold twinning on a rather fine (5 nm) scale. The (3+1)-d superspace group symmetry is suggested to be or one of the non-centrosymmetric sub-groups thereof, namely , , and . A superspace construction is then used to propose the nature of the local compositional ordering and, hence, of the oxygen-deficient slab that intergrows with the perovskite slab to produce the observed solid solution phase. The proposed compositional superspace atomic surfaces can be used to produce model structures at any composition within the solid solution range.  相似文献

The results of in situ high-temperature X-ray and neutron powder diffraction experiments reconcile inconsistencies in previous reports on the symmetry of high-temperature phases of SrAl2O4. The material undergoes two reversible phase transitions and at 680 and 860 °C, respectively, and the latter one is experimentally observed and characterized for the first time. The higher symmetry above the transition is gained by disordering off-center split site of oxygen atoms around trigonal axis rather than by unbending Al–O–Al angle to the ideal value 180°. The analysis of the literature suggests that it is a common feature of the P6322 phases of stuffed tridymites.  相似文献

Nonionic sucrose ester microemulsions composed of sucrose laurate (SL), propylene glycol (PG) and water were prepared with the essential oil of Melaleuca alternifolia, commonly known as tea tree oil (TTO), as oil phase to investigate the phase behavior, microstructure, and antiradical activity. The pseudo-ternary phase diagrams were constructed to elucidate the phase behavior of the microemulsion formations at different weight ratios of surfactant and cosurfactant (Sm = SL/PG) of 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. The extension of the microemulsion zone was found to be strongly dependent on the Sm ratios. The single phase microemulsion domain, especially o/w microemulsion region increased when Sm ratio is increased from 1:1 to 3:1 and no liquid crystalline structure was observed for all formulations studied. Microstructural aspects were studied by electrical conductivity and pulsed gradient spin echo (PGSE) NMR measurements along water titration line L28 (Ro = 2:8). The results from these combined techniques were in good agreement in regard to the microstructure transition points. The microstructural inversion of w/o to bicontinuous microemulsions occurred at 30 wt.% water while the transition from bicontinuous to o/w structure occurred at 55 wt.% water. The physical stability on storage temperature and time was examined by dynamic light scattering after the centrifuge test and freeze–thaw cycles. The droplet size was kept almost the same without any phase separation, providing less temperature-sensitivity up to 70 °C and good stability for 3 months at room temperature. The chemical profile and radical scavenging activity of TTO in o/w microemulsions was evaluated by means of gas chromatography–mass spectroscopy (GC–MS) and 2,2′-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical (DPPH) scavenging method, respectively. The major abundant constituents of crude TTO, monoterpene alcohols (terpinen-4-ol (41.65%), α-terpineol (3.18%)) and hydrocarbons (γ-terpinene (22.95%), α-terpinene (10.16%)) were identified and the composition percentage of each constituent was calculated form the GC peak areas by normalization method. The DPPH scavenging activity of TTO microemulsion was lower than pure TTO because the SL surfactant may obstruct the interaction between the TTO and DPPH, reducing the number of effective collisions.  相似文献

Indium tin oxide (ITO) nanopowder was added to a polymer film containing WO3 · H2O particles to enhance electron conductivity and complimentary Li ion kinetics in an electrochromic device. Film conductivity increased dramatically with ITO content, suggesting the formation of conductive ITO networks in the film. The improved electron conductivity leads to a substantial increase of the effective Li+ ion diffusion coefficient in the composite film, from 10−11 to 10−9 cm2/s. Electrochromic contrast studies revealed that the presence of the ITO networks leads to enhanced blue/green color contrast.  相似文献

Rotational vibrational fine structure and transition dipole moment of NO2 is measured using Doppler free saturation spectroscopy with an external grating cavity quantum cascade laser (QCL). The QCL wavelength is calibrated using a 310 cm long internally coupled Fabry–Perot interferometer. We obtain a frequency splitting of 139.68 ± 0.06 MHz (0.0047 cm−1) between the spin doublets (17) of 000 → 001 transition of NO2. The resolution of the QCL based saturation spectrometer is limited by the QCL linewidth of 3.99 MHz ( 0.00013 cm−1) deduced from the half width of the Lamb dips. The Lamb dip spectroscopy is utilized to obtain a vibrational dipole moment of 0.37 Debye for the (17) transitions.  相似文献

How the structural changes take place in LiMnyFe1−yPO4-type cathode materials during lithium extraction/insertion is an important issue, especially on if they go through the single-phase reaction (i.e., solid solution reaction) or the two-phase reaction regions. Here we report the studies on the phase transition behaviors of a carbon coated Li1−xMn0.5Fe0.5PO4 (CLi1−xMn0.5Fe0.5PO4, 0.0  x  1.0) sample during the first charge using in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. The combination of in situ XAS and XRD results clearly identify two two-phase coexistence regions at two voltage plateaus of 3.6 (Fe2+/Fe3+) and 4.2 V (Mn2+/Mn3+) and a narrow intermediate region which proceeds via single-phase reaction in between two two-phase regions. In addition, simultaneous redox reactions of Fe2+/Fe3+ and Mn2+/Mn3+ in the narrow single-phase region are reported and discussed for the first time.  相似文献

We report the preparation and stability of ScVO3.5+x and the novel phase InVO3.5+x. AVO3.5+x (A=Sc, In) defect fluorite structures are formed as metastable intermediates during the topotactic oxidation of AVO3 bixbyites. The oxidation pathway has been studied in detail by means of thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis and in-situ powder X-ray diffraction. The oxidation of the bixbyite phase follows a topotactic pathway at temperatures between 300 and 400 °C in air/carbon dioxide. The range of accessible oxygen stoichiometries for the AVO3.5+x structures following this pathway are 0.00x0.22. Rietveld refinements against powder X-ray and neutron data revealed that InVO3.54 and ScVO3.70 crystallize in the defect fluorite structure in space group Fm-3 m (227) with a=4.9863(5) and 4.9697(3)Å, respectively with A3+/V4+ disorder on the (4a) cation site. Powder neutron diffraction experiments indicate clustering of oxide defects in all samples. Bulk magnetic measurements showed the presence of V4+ and the absence of magnetic ordering at low temperatures. Powder neutron diffraction experiments confirmed the absence of a long range ordered magnetic ground state.  相似文献

Nitrogen-doped TiO2 catalysts were prepared by a precipitation method. The samples were calcined at 400 °C for 4 h in air. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), low temperature N2-adsorption was used for structural characterization and UV-diffuse reflectance (UV-DR) was applied to investigate the optical properties of the as-prepared samples. It was found that microporous N-doped catalysts have solely anatase crystalline structure. Acidic treatment of the calcined samples was performed using sulfuric acid agitation. The crystalline structure remained unchanged due to surface treatment, while the porosity and the surface areas were decreased dramatically. Optical characterization of the doped catalysts showed that they could be excited by visible light photons in the 400–500 nm wavelength range (λg,1=390 nm, λg,2=510 nm). It was also established that surface treatment enhances the Vis-light absorption of the N-TiO2 powders. Finally the catalysts were tested in the photocatalytic degradation of phenol in aqueous suspensions. Two different light sources were used; one of them was a UV-rich high pressure Hg-lamp, while the other was a tubular visible light source. We found that using visible light illumination N-doped, acid treated TiO2 samples were more catalytically active than non-doped TiO2 catalysts.  相似文献

Solvent effect on the νc frequency of CH stretching vibration of the blue shifted F3CH…FCD3 complex has been studied in liquefied N2, CO, Ar, Kr and Xe. In the case of Xe, the spectroscopic measurements have also been extended to the solid state. It was found that the νc position of the complex in the solutions studied lowers with respect to the value in the gas phase. In liquid Xe, characterized by the largest permittivity, this effect reaches its maximum value of −14.5 cm−1. The νc frequency begins to grow again just below the freezing point of Xe, where a noticeable (15%) increase of the density of Xe occurs. The experimental results obtained for the liquid phase have been analyzed in the framework of the Onsager-like reaction field model and Polarizable Continuum Model (PCM) implemented into a standard Gaussian 98 Program.  相似文献

n-Type (Bi2Te3)0.9–(Bi2−xCuxSe3)0.1 (x=0–0.2) alloys with Cu substitution for Bi were prepared by spark plasma-sintering technique and their structural and thermoelectric properties were evaluated. Rietveld analysis reveals that approximate 9.0% of Bi atomic sites are occupied by Cu atoms and less than 4.0 wt% second phase Cu2.86Te2 precipitated in the Cu-doped parent alloys. Measurements show that an introduction of a small amount of Cu (x0.1) can reduce the lattice thermal conductivity (κL), and improve the electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient. An optimal dimensionless figure of merit (ZT) value of 0.98 is obtained for x=0.1 at 417 K, which is obviously higher than those of Cu-free Bi2Se0.3Te2.7 (ZT=0.66) and Ag-doped alloys (ZT=0.86) prepared by the same technologies.  相似文献

The polar intermetallic compound Ba5Ti12Sb19+x (x0.2) has been synthesized by reaction of the elements. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that it adopts a new structure type (Ba5Ti12Sb19.102(6), space group , Z=2, a=12.4223(11) Å, V=1916.9(3) Å3). The set of Ba and Sb sites corresponds to the structure of Cu9Al4, a γ-brass type with a primitive cell. A complex three-dimensional framework of Ti atoms, in the form of linked planar Ti9 clusters, is stuffed within the γ-brass-type Ba–Sb substructure. Notwithstanding its relationship to the γ-brass structure, the compound does not appear to conform to the Hume–Rothery electron concentration rules. Band structure calculations on an idealized Ba5Ti12Sb19 model suggest that the availability of bonding states above the Fermi level is responsible for the partial occupation, but only to a limited degree, of an additional Sb site within the structure. Magnetic measurements indicated Pauli paramagnetic behaviour.  相似文献

A bacterial strain was isolated and cultured from the oil excavation areas in tropical zone in southern Iran. It was affiliated with Pseudomonas. The biochemical characteristics and partial sequenced 16S rRNA gene of isolate, MR01, was identical to those of cultured representatives of the species Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This bacterium was able to produce a type of biosurfactant with excessive foam-forming properties. Compositional analysis revealed that the extracted biosurfactant was composed of high percentages lipid (65%, w/w) and carbohydrate (30%, w/w) in addition to a minor fraction of protein (4%, w/w). The best production of 2.1 g/l was obtained when the cells were grown on minimal salt medium containing 1.2% (w/v) glucose and 0.1% (w/v) ammonium sulfate supplemented with 0.1% (w/v) isoleucine at 37 °C and 180 rpm after 2 days. The optimum biosurfactant production pH value was found to be 8.0. The MR01 could reduce surface tension to 28 mN/m and emulsified hexadecane up to E24  70. The results obtained from time course study indicated that the surface tension reduction and emulsification potential was increased in the same way to cell growth. However, maximum biosurfactant production occurred and established in the stationary growth phase (after 84 h). Fourier Transform Infrared spectrum of extracted biosurfactant indicates the presence of carboxyl, amine, hydroxyl and methoxyl functional groups. Thermogram of biosurfactant demonstrated three sharp endothermic peaks placing between 200 and 280 °C. The core holder flooding experiments demonstrated that the oil recovery efficiencies varied from 23.7% to 27.1% of residual oil.  相似文献

The rotational barriers between the configurational isomers of two structurally related push–pull 4-oxothiazolidines, differing in the number of exocyclic CC bonds, have been determined by dynamic 1H NMR spectroscopy. The equilibrium mixture of (5-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-4-oxothiazolidin-2-ylidene)-1-phenylethanone (1a) in CDCl3 at room temperature to 333 K consists of the E- and Z-isomers which are separated by an energy barrier ΔG# 98.5 kJ/mol (at 298 K). The variable-temperature 1H NMR data for the isomerization of ethyl (5-ethoxycarbonylmethylidene-4-oxothiazolidin-2-ylidene)ethanoate (2b) in DMSO-d6, possessing the two exocyclic CC bonds at the C(2)- and C(5)-positions, indicate that the rotational barrier ΔG# separating the (2E,5Z)-2b and (2Z,5Z)-2b isomers is 100.2 kJ/mol (at 298 K). In a polar solvent-dependent equilibrium the major (2Z,5Z)-form (>90%) is stabilized by the intermolecular resonance-assisted hydrogen bonding and strong 1,5-type S · · · O interactions within the SCCCO entity. The 13C NMR ΔδC(2)C(2′) values, ranging from 58 to 69 ppm in 1ad and 49-58 ppm in 2ad, correlate with the degree of the push-pull character of the exocyclic C(2)C(2′) bond, which increases with the electron withdrawing ability of the substituents at the vinylic C(2′) position in the following order: COPh COEt > CONHPh > CONHCH2CH2Ph. The decrease of the ΔδC(2)C(2′) values in 2ad has been discussed for the first time in terms of an estimation of the electron donor capacity of the S fragment on the polarization of the CC bonds.  相似文献

Small atmospheric ions are always hydrated. The hydration affects their mobility, stability, and lifetime, which are critically important for the determination of nucleation rates. The gas-phase hydration of anions and cations of the atmospheric nucleation precursor H2SO4 has been studied using the Density Functional Theory (DFT). We found that the interaction between the common atmospheric ions and polar water molecules lead to the formation of the strongly hydrogen bonded hydrate complexes, whose thermodynamic stability is much higher than that of neutral atmospheric hydrates (H2SO4)(H2O)n. Both negatively and positively charged hydrates are much more stable than the aforementioned neutral form; however, the hydration of cations is much stronger than that of anions. The difference in hydration free energies is very large (10 kcal mol−1); however, it decreases quickly when the cluster is growing. The observed positive hydration sign preference is consistent with previous studies for pure water.  相似文献

PbMn(SO4)2 has been synthesized in an evacuated quartz tube. The nuclear and magnetic crystal structures have been determined using powder X-ray and neutron diffraction. This material crystallizes in the enantiomorphic space group pair P41212(92) and P43212(96), forming a double-helical arrangement of Pb2+ and Mn2+ cations. The Mn2+O6 octahedra are distorted. Each 3d5 Mn2+ has four nearest-neighbors and four next-nearest-neighbors adopting a frustrating arrangement. The compound orders antiferromagnetically at 5.5 K. Field dependent specific heat and magnetization measurements show that TN is suppressed to 3.3 K when μ0H=9 T.  相似文献

Under UV light irradiation on a gaseous mixture of Fe(CO)5 and Co(CO)3NO, both the crystalline deposits with sizes of 5 and 18 μm and the spherical particles with a mean diameter of 0.3 μm were produced. From FT-IR spectra and SEM–EDS analysis, it was suggested that the chemical structure of the crystalline deposits was the one of Fe2(CO)9 being modified by involving Fe(CO)Co bond. By decreasing a partial pressure of Fe(CO)5 to 0.5 Torr in the gaseous mixture, only the spherical aerosol particles could be produced. Chemical composition of the particles was rich in Co species. From the disappearance of bridging CO band in the FT-IR spectra of the particles and the appearance of CO bands coordinated to a metal atom, Fe atom in Fe(CO)4 was suggested to be coordinated by the O atom in bridging CO bond in Co(CO)Co structure and/or in α-diketone structure which was formed from two CO groups in dicobalt species. Chemical compositions of the crystalline deposits and the spherical particles were influenced differently by the application of a magnetic field. Atomic ratio of Fe to Co atom decreased in the crystalline deposits whereas it increased in the spherical particles with increasing magnetic field up to 5 T. Linearly aggregated particles (i.e., particle wires) as long as 30 μm were produced on the front side of a glass plate placed at the bottom of the irradiation cell.  相似文献

The modification of the electrical characteristics of field-effect transistors (FETs) with channels composed of n- or p-type silicon nanowires (SiNWs) by oxygen plasma treatment is investigated in this study. The SiNWs obtained from silicon bulk wafers are <111> surface-oriented and their doping concentrations are 1021 and 1017 cm−3 for the n- and p-type SiNWs, respectively. After the back-gate SiNWFETs were subjected to oxygen plasma treatment, the magnitude of the drain current of the n-type SiNWs was decreased, whereas that of the p-type SiNWs was increased, while the gate-dependent characteristics of both of types of SiNWs were improved. The changes in the electrical characteristics are due to the adsorption of oxygen ions on the surface of the SiNWs. To verify the effect of the oxygen ions, the SiNWFETs were kept in a vacuum for 24 h whereupon their electrical characteristics tended to revert to their inherent state.  相似文献

Particulate composites of NiFe2O4 (NFO) and Pb0.93La0.07 (Zr0.60Ti0.40) O3 (PLZT) were synthesized by solid-state reaction technique. Structure and surface morphological studies were carried out using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques, respectively. Frequency dependent variation of dielectric constant (), loss tangent (tan δ) and ac resistivity for (x) NFO + (1−x) PLZT composites in the range 100 Hz–5 MHz at room temperature were studied. The temperature dependence of dielectric constant (′), loss tangent (tan δ) was studied in wide temperature range of measurement at fixed frequencies. Also DC resistivity measurements were carried out in the temperature range of 300 K–923 K. Structural, dielectric and electrical properties show notable change due to presence of magnetostrictive NFO phase along with PLZT.  相似文献
