A nonlinear perturbed conservative system is discussed. By means of Hadamard's theorem, the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the continuous problem are proved. When the equation is discreted on the uniform meshes, it is proved that the corresponding discrete problem has a unique solution. Finally, the accuracy of the numerical solution is considered and a simple algorithm is provided for solving the nonlinear difference equation. Second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) with strong nonlinear stiffness terms (cubic nonlinearities) governing wave motions, dynamic crack propagations, nonlinear oscillations etc. in physics and nonlinear mechanics are analyzed. Selecting as guide line a second-order nonlinear ODE of the form of the forced Duffing equation and using admissible functional transformations it is possible to reduce it to an equivalent first-order nonlinear integrodifferential equation. The reduced equation is exact. In the limits of small or large values of the parameter characterizing this nonlinear problem, it is shown that further reductions lead to a nonlinear ODE of the Abel classes. Taking into account the known exact analytic solutions of this equivalent equation it is proved that there does not exist an exact analytic solution of this type of equations. However, in cases when convenient functional relations connecting all parameters of the corresponding null equation and the characteristics of the driving force exist, approximate analytic solutions to the problem under consideration are provided.  相似文献

In this paper an initial-boundary value problem for a weakly nonlinear plate equation with a quadratic nonlinearity will be studied. This initial-boundary value problem can be regarded as a simple model describing free oscillations of a simply supported square plate on an elastic foundation. It is assumed that the foundation has a different behavior for compression and for expansion. An approximation for the solution of the initial-boundary value problem will be constructed using a two-timescales perturbation method. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the problem will be proved. Also the asymptotic validity of the constructed approximations will be shown on long timescales. For specific parameter values, it turns out that complicated internal resonances occur.  相似文献

在圆形三向网架非线性动力学基本方程的基础上,用拟壳法给出了圆底扁球面三向网壳的非线性动力学基本方程.在固定边界条件下,引入了异于等厚度壳的无量纲量,对基本方程和边界条件进行无量纲化,通过Galerkin作用得到了一个含二次、三次的非线性动力学方程.为求Melnikov函数,对一类非线性动力系统的自由振动方程进行了求解,得到了此类问题的准确解.在无激励情况下,讨论了稳定性问题.在外激励情况下,通过求Melnikov函数,给出了可能发生混沌运动的条件.通过数字仿真绘出了平面相图,证实了混沌运动的存在.  相似文献

The self-similar singular solution of the fast diffusion equation with nonlinear gradient absorption terms are studied. By a self-similar transformation, the self-similar solutions satisfy a boundary value problem of nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE). Using the shooting arguments, the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the initial data problem of the nonlinear ODE are investigated, and the solutions are classified by the region of the initial data. The necessary and sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of self-similar very singular solutions is obtained by investigation of the classification of the solutions. In this paper, the author proves that, for a nonlinear heat conduction equation, there is no discontinuous solution. Some methods of solution for a nonlinear conduction equation are depicted. For a plane interface, the reflection and transmission of a heat wave are given by the method of images. The 1st order of approximation of this method is proved. An auxiliary principle technique to study a class of generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequalities is extended. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the auxiliary problem for the generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequalities are proved, a novel and innovative three-step iterative algorithm to compute approximate solution is constructed, and the existence of the solution of the generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed variational-like inequality is shown using the auxiliary principle technique. We study the stability of the zero solution of a nonlinear dynamic equation on a time scale under certain assumptions on the right-hand side of this equation. In addition to conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a solution of the Cauchy problem, we also assume that the exponential function of the linear approximation is bounded, and the norms of the nonlinear part and its derivatives with respect to the components of the space variable are majorized by power functions of the norm of the space variable. Using the generalized method of Lyapunov functions, we obtain sufficient conditions for the stability of the zero solution of the nonlinear equation under consideration.  相似文献

The solution of the equation of the velocity potential of a steady axisymmetric ideal-gas flow in the neighborhood of a given point at the axis of symmetry in the form of a double series in powers of the distance to the axis of symmetry and its logarithm is considered. Recurrent chains of equations with arbitrariness in two analytical functions of the streamwise variable are obtained for coefficients of the series. Convergence of the constructed series is proved by the method of special majorants. The postbuckling deflection of an infinite beam that is bonded to a linear elastic foundation and is subjected to an internal compressive stress is analyzed. The nonlinear equilibrium equation that governs the problem considers extensional deformation of the beam. An analytic solution of the nonlinear equilibrium equation is presented and is found to be in good agreement with numerical simulations of the problem. The numerical simulations confirm that for a linear elastic foundation the postbuckling deflection is periodic. The analytic solution shows that the postbuckling wavelength is unaffected by the level of internal stress, and is equal to the wavelength at the critical state.  相似文献

Exact solution of the nonlinear boundary value problem for the basic equation and boundary condition of circular membrane under central force was obtained by using new simple methods. The existence and uniqueness of the solution were discussed by using of modern immovable point theorems.
