In this paper we introduce and investigate top (bi)comodules of corings, that can be considered as dual to top (bi)modules of rings. The fully coprime spectra of such (bi)comodules attains a Zariski topology, defined in a way dual to that of defining the Zariski topology on the prime spectra of (commutative) rings. We restrict our attention in this paper to duo (bi)comodules (satisfying suitable conditions) and study the interplay between the coalgebraic properties of such (bi)comodules and the introduced Zariski topology. In particular, we apply our results to introduce a Zariski topology on the fully coprime spectrum of a given non-zero coring considered canonically as duo object in its category of bicomodules. Many observations about coalgebras were inspired by comparable situations for algebras. Despite the prominent role of prime algebras, the theory of a corresponding notion for coalgebras was not well understood so far. Coalgebras C over fields may be called coprime provided the dual algebra C* is prime. This definition, however, is not intrinsic—it strongly depends on the base ring being a field. The purpose of the article is to provide a better understanding of related notions for coalgebras over commutative rings by employing traditional methods from (co)module theory, in particular (pre)torsion theory.

Dualizing classical primeness condition, coprimeness can be defined for modules and algebras. These notions are developed for modules and then applied to comodules. We consider prime and coprime, fully prime and fully coprime, strongly prime and strongly coprime modules and comodules. In particular, we obtain various characterisations of prime and coprime coalgebras over rings and fields.  相似文献

We investigate which aspects of recent developments on Galois corings and comodules admit a formulation in terms of comonads. The general theory is applied to the study of Galois comodules over corings over firm rings. We construct comatrix corings on bimodules without finiteness conditions by using firm rings. This leads to the formulion of a notion of Galois coring which plays a key role in the statement of a Noncommutative Faithfully Flat Descent for comodules which generalizes previous versions. By a theorem due to Kato and Ohtake, any (not necessarily strict) Morita context induces an equivalence between appropriate subcategories of the module categories of the two rings in the Morita context. These are in fact categories of firm modules for non-unital subrings. We apply this result to various Morita contexts associated to a comodule Σ of an A-coring 𝒞. This allows to extend (weak and strong) structure theorems in the literature, in particular beyond the cases when any of the coring 𝒞 or the comodule Σ is finitely generated and projective as an A-module. That is, we obtain relations between the category of 𝒞-comodules and the category of firm modules for a firm ring R, which is an ideal of the endomorphism algebra End 𝒞(Σ). For a firmly projective comodule of a coseparable coring we prove a strong structure theorem assuming only surjectivity of the canonical map.  相似文献

Generalizing the notion of Galois corings, Galois comodules were introduced as comodules P over an A-coring 𝒞 for which P A is finitely generated and projective and the evaluation map μ𝒞:Hom 𝒞 (P, 𝒞) ?  S P → 𝒞 is an isomorphism (of corings) where S = End 𝒞 (P). It has been observed that for such comodules the functors ? ?  A 𝒞 and Hom A (P, ?) ?  S P from the category of right A-modules to the category of right 𝒞-comodules are isomorphic. In this note we use this isomorphism related to a comodule P to define Galois comodules without requiring P A to be finitely generated and projective. This generalises the old notion with this name but we show that essential properties and relationships are maintained. Galois comodules are close to being generators and have common properties with tilting (co)modules. Some of our results also apply to generalised Hopf Galois (coalgebra Galois) extensions.  相似文献

We show the close connection between apparently different Galois theories for comodules introduced recently in [J. Gomez-Torrecillas and J. Vercruysse, Comatrix corings and Galois Comodules over firm rings, Algebr. Represent. Theory, 10 (2007), 271 306] and [Wisbauer, On Galois comodules, Comm. Algebra 34 (2006), 2683-2711]. Furthermore we study equivalences between categories of comodules over a coring and modules over a firm ring. We show that these equivalences are related to Galois theory for comodules.  相似文献

We study the various categories of corings, coalgebras, and comodules from a categorical perspective. Emphasis is given to the question which properties of these categories can be seen as instances of general categorical resp. algebraic results. We introduce the notion of “bi-monoid” in general monoidal category, generalizing by this the notion of “bialgebra”. In the case of bimodules over a noncommutative algebra, we obtain compatibility conditions between rings and corings whenever both structures admit the same underlying bimodule. Several examples are expounded in this case. We also show that there is a class of right modules over a bi-monoid which is a monoidal category and the forgetful functor to the ground category is a strict monoidal functor.  相似文献

In this article, we study the dynamics of a fully discrete piecewise optimal distributed control problem for the Boussinesq equations which models a velocity tracking over time coupled to thermal dynamics. We prove that the rates of velocity and‐ temperature tracking are exponential. We also give some computational results which reinforces the theoretical results derived. A fully discrete finite element method is used to approximate the electric field equation derived from time-dependent Maxwell's equations in three dimensional polyhedral domains. Optimal energy-norm error estimates are achieved for general Lipschitz polyhedral domains. Optimal -norm error estimates are obtained for convex polyhedral domains. We study the transfer via functors between abelian categories of the (dual) relative splitness of objects with respect to a fully invariant short exact sequence. This paper considers weak Galerkin finite element approximations on polygonal/polyhedral meshes for a quasistatic Maxwell viscoelastic model. The spatial discretization uses piecewise polynomials of degree $k (k ≥ 1)$ for the stress approximation, degree $k+1$ for the velocity approximation, and degree $k$ for the numerical trace of velocity on the inter-element boundaries. The temporal discretization in the fully discrete method adopts a backward Euler difference scheme. We show the existence and uniqueness of the semi-discrete and fully discrete solutions, and derive optimal a priori error estimates. Numerical examples are provided to support the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

Summary In this paper we study the convergence properties of a fully discrete Galerkin approximation with a backwark Euler time discretization scheme. An approach based on semigroup theory is used to deal with the nonsmooth Dirichlet boundary data which cannot be handled by standard techniques. Based on a new definition of dilation a scale discrete version of spherical multiresolution is described, starting from a scale discrete wavelet transform on the sphere. Depending on the type of application, different families of wavelets are chosen. In particular, spherical Shannon wavelets are constructed that form an orthogonal multiresolution analysis.
