Field Patterns in Asymmetrical Double Groove Guide by Finite Element Method   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The electromagnetic power coupling in asymmetrical double-groove guide is analyzed by finite element method (FEM) in this paper. The electrical field patterns of the dominant mode and the first higher-order TE mode have been presented. The electromagnetic field of the dominant mode is distributed with a concentration of energy in the wide groove region, while the electromagnetic field of the first higher-order TE mode is distributed with a concentration of energy in the narrow groove region. The results in this paper have important values in design of groove guide power coupler for millimeter wave applications.  相似文献

Rectangular groove guide with multiple grooves has been analyzed by finite element method (FEM) in this paper. The electrical field patterns of the dominant mode and the first higher-order TE mode have been presented for groove guide with single-, double-, triple-, and quadruple-rectangular grooves. The electromagnetic field of the dominant mode is distributed with a concentration in the groove regions, while the electromagnetic field of the first higher-order TE mode is mainly distributed in regions between grooves. The low loss characteristic has been found not only in single-groove guide, but also in multiple groove guide.  相似文献

The field patterns of the different TE and TM modes in a rectangular-groove guide are analysed by finite element method. The electric field, magnetic field and energy distributions in the groove guide for the dominant TE mode, the lowest TM mode and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd higher-order TE,TM modes are presented. The results show that the low-loss characteristic of rectangular-groove guide seems unreliable. The results in this paper will be of benefit for us to understand the transmission characteristics of rectangular-groove guide, and will be of practical significance in designing groove guide components.  相似文献

Truncated-circular waveguide are used in some microwave and millimeter-wave components. The field patterns in truncated-circular waveguide are desired but usually difficult to be computed by conventional methods. In this paper, they are efficiently determined by using finite element method. The electrical field lines of the dominant TE mode and the first sixteen higher-order TE modes are presented. The calculated results in this paper have important values for us to understand the transmission characteristics of truncated-circular waveguide, and will be of practical significance in designing waveguide components in microwave and millimeter wave engineering.  相似文献

A single-ridge waveguide with a symmetrical longitudinal trough, designated as a ridge-trough waveguide has been used as a transition in a V-band (50-75 GHz) wafer probe recently. In this paper, the field patterns for the dominant TE mode and the first higher TE mode in ridge-trough waveguide with different configurations are presented by finite element method. The field patterns in this paper have important values for us to understand the transmission characteristics of ridge-trough waveguide, and will be of practical significance in designing ridge-trough waveguide components in microwave and millimeter wave engineering.  相似文献

In this paper, finite element method is first used to discuss the field patterns in a hollow perfectly conducting pipe with elliptical cross section. The electrical field lines of the dominant TE mode as well as the magnetic field lines of the lowest TM mode are presented. The results are the same with literatures, and also give a correction to the field pattern of the lowest TM mode in elliptical waveguide.  相似文献

 根据电磁场理论设计了S波段TM610高次模圆柱谐振腔。运用HFSS,ISFELD3D, CST-MS及MAFIA软件计算了该谐振腔中TM610及其附近模式的电磁场分布、谐振频率及模式间隔。计算表明:TM610模式的电磁场集中在漂移管头周围的区域,谐振腔中心处无电磁场分布。根据TM610模式的特点,采取了在腔中心放置铁氧体微波吸收材料的方法来抑制杂模。HFSS模拟表明:腔内吸收材料可消除TM510模式外大部分杂模的影响。采用了在主谐振腔外加耦合吸收腔的方法来抑制TM510模式,该吸收腔基模TM010的谐振频率等于TM510的谐振频率。模拟表明:TM510模式的大部分能量可以被吸收腔内的铁氧体材料衰减掉,Q值从15 604下降到571。  相似文献

针对SiO2光波导声光布拉格器件,计算了SiO2非对称平板波导TE模式的横向场分布;给出了SiO2/ZnO/Air层状介质结构的性能方程、运动方程和麦克斯韦方程,推导出这种层状结构的特征方程,并结合所满足的边界条件,得到了各层介质的位移及电磁场分布;计算了声表面波所引起的光学相对介质隔离率张量的变化,最后讨论了声光衍射效率和光场与声场的重叠积分、声功率、声频率、声孔径和光波导参数之间的关系。结果表明,在低频范围内光场与声表面波场重叠良好;低阶模的重叠积分始终大于高阶模重叠积分,最低阶模与声表面波相互作用最强,所需声功率最小;当声功率一定时,增加声孔径可以提高衍射效率。  相似文献

The propagation constants and the field distribution of the higher-order modes in photonic-crystal fibers have been studied. It is shown that the standard single-mode operation condition of a fiber, in which the first higher-order mode is cut-off, is not applicable to photonic-crystal fibers because the latter can guide higher-order eigenmodes, even when this condition is fulfilled.  相似文献

The effects of an ac electric field on the Fano resonance in a parallel-coupled double quantum dot system are investigated theoretically. The field can induce the photon-assisted Fano resonances for both symmetrical and asymmetrical parallel configurations. The magnitude and position of the photon-assisted Fano peak can be tuned by the ac field strength and frequency, respectively. Furthermore, the Fano resonance can appear with increasing the field frequency for both the symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations. This provides an efficient mechanism to control the Fano resonance. The photon-electron pumping effects for the symmetrical and asymmetrical cases are also studied in the weak- and strong-coupling regime.  相似文献

在耦合波理论的基础上,结合波导渐变曲线给出了普适高阶渐变波导设计方法,研究了95 GHz回旋管内置 TE03模式改进Dolph-Chebychev渐变波导。采用编制的数值计算程序进行优化,得到了可靠的最优几何参量,设计出了紧凑的95 GHz渐变波导。经全电磁场仿真验证,该内置渐变输出结构对杂模的抑制达30 dB,满足设计要求。回旋管的热测实验中测出的模式样图表明,所设计的内置渐变波导有效地实现了回旋管内径变化。该方法可以高效地指导高阶过模圆波导渐变结构的设计。  相似文献

A bandpass filter with twin wideband channels in a single-layer guided-mode resonance grating is presented.Strong refractive-index modulation is used to support the excitation of multimode resonances TE1,0,TE1,1,TE2,0,TE1,2,and TE2,1,which are excited by the first and second diffraction orders,relate asymmetrical line shapes and broad low-transmission bands,where TE is the transverse electric.Taking advantage of narrow linewidth and sharp edge line shape in the spectra of TE2,υ(v is the mode),a bandpass filter with form factors of 0.61 and 0.7 for long-and short-wave channels is presented to demonstrate this concept.  相似文献

Extremely asymmetrical scattering (EAS) is a type of Bragg scattering in periodic gratings, that occurs when the diffracted order satisfying the Bragg condition (scattered wave) propagates parallel to the grating boundaries. Previous studies were concerned only with first-order EAS that was shown to be a highly unusual type of scattering, characterised by a strong resonant increase of the scattered wave amplitude (i.e. the amplitude of the first diffracted order). In this paper, a rigorous numerical study of higher-order EAS is presented for the case of bulk TE electromagnetic waves in planar holographic gratings of various amplitudes and widths. In particular, it is demonstrated that typical scattered wave amplitudes in higher-order EAS are significantly smaller than those in first-order EAS, and display strongly different dependencies on grating width, grating amplitude, distance from the front grating boundary, etc. Similar to first-order EAS, second-order EAS is shown to be strongly sensitive to small variations of mean structural parameters at the grating boundaries. EAS in non-sinusoidal gratings is investigated in detail with special focus on the transition between first-order EAS and second-order EAS in such gratings. Tolerance of second-order EAS to the presence of the second grating harmonic is analysed. The effect of phase of the second grating harmonic on transitional EAS is investigated. Physical explanation of the predicted effects is presented.  相似文献

系统研究了负μ材料(MNG)作为包层的对称三层平板波导的传输特性. 研究发现,这种波导既支持快波的传播,又支持TE0,TE1模式的慢波传输. 其模式特性不同于左手介质波导和传统介质波导,导模存在的模折射率范围要比它们的大. MNG波导的TE0快波模缺失,且TEm模(m>1)的传播常数大于TMm模的传播常数. TEm模具有双模特征,且与波导的结构参数密切相关,导致波导中的净能流出现负值. 关键词: 单负介质 平板波导 快波与慢波 传播常数  相似文献

The operating characteristics of a 140-GHz 14-W long pulse gyrotron are presented. The device is being used in dynamic nuclear polarization enhanced nuclear magnetic resonance (DNP/NMR) spectroscopy experiments. The gyrotron yields 14 W peak power at 139.65 GHz from the TE(0,3) operating mode using a 12.3-kV 25-mA electron beam. Additionally, up to 12 W peak has been observed in the TE(2,3) mode at 136.90 GHz. A series of mode converters transform the TE(0,3) operating mode to the TE(1,1) mode. Experimental results are compared with nonlinear simulations and show reasonable agreement. The millimeter-wave output beam was imaged in a single shot using a pyroelectric camera. The mode patterns matched reasonably well to theory for both the TE(0,1) mode and the TE(1,1) mode. Repeatable mode patterns were obtained at intervals ranging from 0.8 s apart to 11 min apart at the output of the final mode converter.  相似文献

A bandpass filter based on guided-mode resonance effects in a single-layer periodic waveguide is presented. Strong refractive-index modulation is used to support the excitation of a resonance pair in which leaky waveguide mode TE0 is excited by the second diffraction order and TE2 by the first diffraction order. It is shown that one resonance provides a broad low-transmission band, whereas the other supplies the transmission peak through its asymmetrical line shape. A bandpass filter with central wavelength at 1.55 microm is presented to demonstrate this concept.  相似文献
