Azimines. V. Investigation on the Stereoisomerism Around the N (2), N (3) Bond in 2, 3-Dialkyl-1-phthalimido-azimines 2, 3-(cis-1, 3-Cyclopentylene)-1-phthalimido-azimine ( 7 ) and isomerically pure (2 Z)- and (2 E)-2, 3-diisopropyl-1-phthalimido-azimine ( 9a and 9b ) were prepared by the addition of phthalimido-nitrene ( 1 ) to 2, 3-diazabicyclo [2.2.1]hept-2-ene ( 6 ) and to (E)- and (Z)-1, 1′-dimethylazoethane ( 8a and 8b ), respectively. Comparison of their UV. spectra with those of two stereoisomeric azimines of known configuration, namely (1 E, 2 Z)- and (1 Z, 2 E)-2, 3-dimethyl-1-phthalimido-azimine ( 5a and 5b ), reveals that 2, 3-dialkyl-1-phthalimido-azimines with (2 Z)-configuration are characterized by a shoulder at about 258 nm (? ≈? 14,000) and those with (2 E)-configuration by a maximum at 270–278 nm (? ≈? 10,000). The (2 E)-azimine 9b isomerizes under acid catalysis as well as thermally and photochemically into the more stable (2 Z)-isomer 9a . Under the last two conditions the isomerization is accompanied by a slower fragmentation with loss of nitrogen into N, N′-diisopropyl-N, N′-phthaloylhydrazine ( 4 , R = iso-C3H7). The same fragmentation was also observed on thermolysis and photolysis of the (2 Z)-isomer 9a . The kinetic parameters for the thermal isomerization of 9b (they fit first-order plots) and for the fragmentation of 9a and 9b were determined by 1H-NMR. spectroscopy in benzene, trichloromethane and acetonitrile. In the photolysis of 9a or 9b the fragmentation is accompanied by dissociation into the azo compounds 8a or 8b and the nitrene 1 , the latter being subject to trapping by cyclohexene. With the azimine 7 , an analogous thermal fragmentation was observed to give N, N′-(cis-1, 3-cyclo-pentylene)-N, N′-phthaloylhydrazine ( 15 ), but more energetic conditions were required than with 9 . Photolysis of 7 led exclusively to dissociation into the azo compound 6 and the nitrene 1 , perhaps because the fragmentation of 7 is prevented by ring strain.  相似文献

Mixtures of Z- and E-1-bromo-1,3-butadiene in which the E- or Z- isomer predominates have been obtained in good yields by treating a mixture of Z- and E- 1,4-dibromo-2-butene (90% Z-isomer) or pure E-1,4-dibromo-2-butene, respectively, with powdered potassium hydroxide in high-boiling petroleum. 2-Bromo-1,3-butadiene was obtained in high yields by stirring a mixture of vinylacetylene, concentrated aqueous hydrogen bromide and copper(I) bromide.  相似文献

Parallel and practical methods for the preparation of both (E)‐ and (Z)‐β‐aryl1‐β‐aryl2‐α,β‐unsaturated esters 1 and (E)‐ and (Z)‐α‐aryl1‐β‐aryl2‐α,β‐unsaturated esters 2 are described. These methods involve accessible, robust, stereocomplementary N‐methylimidazole (NMI)‐mediated enol tosylations (14 examples, 70–99 % yield), as well as stereoretentive Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐couplings (36 examples, 64–99 % yield). The highlighted feature of the present protocol is the use of parallel and stereocomplementary approaches to obtain highly (E)‐ and (Z)‐pure products 1 and 2 by utilizing sequential enol tosylations and cross‐coupling reactions. An expeditious and parallel synthesis of (E)‐ and (Z)‐zimelidine ( 3 ), which is a highly representative selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), was performed by utilizing the present methods.  相似文献

Abstract

A concise synthesis of (2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadien-1-ol and (2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadienal is presented. Commercially available (Z)-2-penten-1-ol was converted to ethyl-(2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadienoate by reaction with activated MnO2 and (carboethoxymethylene)triphenylphosphorane in the presence of benzoic acid as a catalyst. Ethyl-(2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadienoate was converted to (2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadien-1-ol with LiAlH4. The alcohol was partially oxidized to (2E,4Z)-2,4-heptadienal with MnO2. The title compounds are male-specific, antennally active volatile compounds from the Saltcedar leaf beetle, Diorhabda elongata Brulle (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and have potential use in the biological control of the invasive weed saltcedar (Tamarix spp).  相似文献

Focused research on the Z/E isomers of tetraphenylethene (TPE) derivatives is scarce in comparison with the thousands of luminogens with AIE properties (AIEgens) that have been synthesized based on the TPE moiety. The similar chemical and physical properties of the Z/E isomers make them difficult to separate by using conventional chromatographic techniques. However, they can be isolated by introducing polar groups and the pure isomers exhibit very different photophysical properties, mechanochromism, and host–guest coordination, as well as assisting in deciphering the AIE mechanism. In this Minireview, we present an overview of the disagreement regarding the AIE mechanism between the restriction of intramolecular vibration and photoinduced Z/E isomerization. Then, we discuss the development of (Z)‐/(E)‐TPE derivatives, their use in host–guest detection, and their mechanoluminescence properties, with a focus on their photophysical characteristics. Finally, we explore the stereoselective synthesis of pure (Z)‐/(E)‐TPE derivatives.  相似文献

The equilibrium concentrations of E- and Z-isomers of thiazolidin-4-ones containing exocyclic double bonds in positions 2 and 5 of the cycle were determined in DMSO-d6. The influence of the nature of the substituents on the equilibrium position was found. Electron-releasing substituents stabilize the E,Z-configuration and electron-withdrawing substituents stabilize the Z,Z-configuration. The association constants of E- and Z-2-ethoxycarbonylmethylenethiazolidin-4-ones with the sodium cation were determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

The photoisomerization behavior of three mono[(E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]spermidines, 1, 2 , and 3 , and three bis[(E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]spermidines, 4, 5 , and 6 , are investigated. The synthetic product (E)- 1 could be almost quantitatively (> 96%) converted into its isomer (Z)- 1 under UV light irradiation. In the cases of (E)- 2 and (E)- 3 , a mixture of (E)/(Z) ca. 1:2 was obtained, when the same conditions were applied. The comparison of their UV spectra provides the possible explanation for these different behaviors. Furthermore, it was noticed that the (Z) → (E) isomerization of the C?C bond took place during the purification by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), and the (E)/(Z)-mixture is thus inseparable. The same feature could be observed during the isolation of the (Z,Z)-N,N′-bis[3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]-spermidines, (Z,Z)- 4 , (Z,Z)- 5 , and (Z,Z)- 6 . Nevertheless, the fractions of (Z,Z)- 5 and (Z,Z)- 6 were in almost pure state collected, and their 1-NMR spectra are presented.  相似文献

2-Arylthio- and 2-arylsulfonyl-1-nitro-1-phenylethenes react with amines to give the corresponding nitroenamines whose configuration (E or Z) depends on the amine structure. Primary amines gives rise to Z-nitroenamines, secondary cyclic amines with 2-arylthio-1-nitroalkenes form E-nitroenamines, and with more reactive 2-arylsulfonyl-1-nitroalkenes E/Z-isomeric mixtures are obtained.  相似文献

On n,π*- as well as on π,π*-excitation, the 4,5-epoxy-α-ionones (E)- 1 , (E)- 2 , and (E)- 3 undergo (E)/(Z)-isomerization and subsequent γ-H-abstraction leading to the corresponding 4-hydroxy-β-ionones (E/Z)- 9 , (E/Z)- 13 , and (E/Z)- 17 as primary photoproducts. On photolysis of (E)- 3 , as an additional primary photoproduct, the β,γ-unsaturated σ,?-epoxy ketone 18 was obtained. The other isolated compounds, namely the 2H-pyrans 10A + B and 14A + B as well as the retro γ-ionones 11 and 15A + B , represent known types of products, which are derived from the 4-hydroxy-β-ionones (E/Z)- 9 and (E/Z)- 13 , respectively.  相似文献

Isomerizable diacrylates derived from cinnamic acid are designed, synthesized and mixed with liquid crystalline diacrylates with the aim of making films with alternating birefringent and isotropic domains by applying the EZ isomerization process at room temperature. The effects of the structure of the isomerizable‐mesogenic group on the isotropization efficacy, the efficiency of the EZ isomerization reaction, and film formation are discussed. Compounds derived from cyclohexyl cinnamate are proved to be good candidates that meet a whole set of parameters related to processing and application. These compounds exhibit a low nematic‐to‐isotropic transition temperature. In addition, they show no yellowing upon irradiation, unlike similar compounds derived from phenyl cinnamate. To elucidate the origin of isotropization of the film by irradiation, the pure Z‐isomer is prepared by photolysis of the E‐isomer and subsequent chromatographic separation of both isomers. Analysis of reference samples containing the pure isomers reveals that the decrease in transition temperature can be attributed exclusively to the EZ photoisomerization process. Finally, thin films with alternating birefringent and isotropic parts of 100×100 µm2 are obtained by using a combination of photoisomerization in air and photopolymerization in a nitrogen atmosphere, which is referred to as photo‐patterning.  相似文献

Summary 3-Aryl-, 3-benzyl-, and 3H-5-(2-aryl-2-oxoethyl)-2-thioxo-4-oxo-1,3-thiazolidines3a–h react with bromine in acetic acid solution to give mixtures of the respective 5-aroylmethylene (E) and (Z) diastereomeric derivatives5 and6. They contain more than 85% of the (E)-diastereomers along with some pure isomers. The intermediacy of the 5-bromo derivatives4 is proven and a plausible route of the reaction is presented. Structures of compounds3–6 are evidenced by analytical and spectral data.

Zusammenfassung 3-Aryl-, 3-Benzyl- und 3H-5-(2-Aryl-2-oxoethyl)-2-thioxo-4-oxo-1,3-thiazolidine3a–h reagieren mit Brom in essigsaurer Lösung zu Gemischen der entsprechenden diastereomeren 5-Arylmethylen-Derivate ((E) und (Z))5 und6. Sie enthalten mehr als 85% des (E)-Diastereomeren. Die intermediäre Natur der 5-Brom-Derivate4 wird bewiesen; ein Reaktionsweg wird vorgeschlagen. Die Strukturen der Verbindungen3–6 werden durch analytische und spektroskopische Daten abgesichert.

Using (2E)-4,4-dimethoxy-2-butenal as starting compound, methods were developed for synthesis of (2E,4E)- and (2E,4Z)-dimethoxyalkadienes. Deacetalization of the latter gives with high yield the corresponding dienals which are naturally occurring compounds and also synthons for preparation of conjugated dienes as key compounds for building up other natural products.  相似文献

Isomerization of (all-E)-Cycloviolaxanthin. Preparation and Characterization of (9Z)- and (13Z)-Cycloviolaxanthin From (all-E)-cycloviolaxanthin (ex Capsicum annuum), (9Z)- and (13Z)-cycloviolaxanthin were prepared in a highly pure state. Trifluoromethylation of propargylic alcohols to provide (Z)‐α‐trifluoromethylated enones and β‐unsubstituted α‐trifluoromethylated enones proceeded with high yield and selectivity in the presence of CuI/Re2O7. Annulenoid Tetrathiafulvalenes: 5,16‐Bis(1,3‐benzodithiol‐2‐ylidene)‐5,16‐dihydrotetraepoxy‐ and 5,16‐Bis(1,3‐benzodithiol‐2‐ylidene)‐5,16‐dihydrotetraepithio[22]annulenes(2.1.2.1) The title compounds are among the first tetrathiafulvalenes with annulene spacers, here with tetraepoxy‐[22]annulene(2.1.2.1) (see 3a ), tetraepithio[22]annulene(2.1.2.1) (see 3b ), and diepithiodiepoxy[22]annulene(2.1.2.1) (see 23 ) units. The annulenoid tetrathiafulvalenes 3a and 3b are prepared by cyclizing McMurry coupling of the 5,5′‐(1,3‐benzodithiol‐2‐ylidenemethylene)bis[furan‐ or thiophene‐2‐carbaldehydes] ( 8a or 8b , resp.) or by Wittig reaction of (1,3‐benzodithiol‐2‐yl)tributylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate ( 13b ) with tetraepoxy[22]annulene(2.1.2.1)‐1,12‐dione 20 (formation of 3a ) or diepithiodiepoxy[22]annulene(2.1.2.1)‐1,12‐dione 22 (formation of 23 ). The annulenoide tetrathiafulvalene 3a is obtained as a mixture of the isomers (E,E)‐ and (Z,Z)‐ 3a . At 130°, (Z,Z)‐ 3a rearranges quantitatively into the (E,E)‐isomer. Isomer (E,E)‐ 3a is a dynamic molecule, where the (E)‐ethene‐1,2‐diyl bridges rotate around the adjacent σ‐bonds. The tetraepithioannulene derivative 3b as well as 23 only exist in the (Z,Z)‐configuration. The oxidation of (E,E/Z,Z)‐ 3a with Br2 yields the annulene‐bridged tetrathiafulvalene dication (E,E)‐ 3a Ox, while with 4,5‐dichloro‐3,6‐dioxocyclohexa‐1,4‐diene‐1,2‐dicarbonitrile (DDQ) obviously only the radical cation 3a Sem is formed, which belongs to the class of cyanine‐like violenes. The annulenoide tetrathiafulvalenes 3b and 23 , which exist only in the (Z,Z)‐configuration, obviously for steric reasons, cannot be oxidized by DDQ. Electrochemical studies are in agreement with these results.  相似文献

The 1H-NMR spectra of 2-(nitromethylidene)pyrrolidine ( 7 ), 1-methyl-2-(nitromethylidene)imidazolidind ( 10 ) and 3-(nitromethylidene)tetrahydrothiazine ( 11 ) in CDCl3 and (CD3)2SO indicate that these compounds have the intramolecularly H-bonded structures (Z)- 7 , (E)- 10 and (Z)- 11 while the N-methyl derivative 8 of 7 is (E)-configurated in both solvents. 1-Benzylamino-1-(methyltio)-2-nitroehtylene ( 13 ), an acylic model, has the H-bonded configuration (E)- 13 in CDCl3 and in (CD3)2SO. 2-(Nitromethylidene)thiazolidine ( 3 ) has the (E)-configuration in CDCl3 but exists in (CD3)2SO as a mixture of (Z)- and (E)-isomers with the former predominating. Both species are detected to varying proportions in a mixture of the two solvents. 15N-NMR spectroscopy of 3 ruled out unambiguously the nitronic acid structure 6 and the nitromethyleimine structure 5 . The N-methyl derivative 4 of 3 is (Z)-configurated in (CD3)2SO. Comparison of the olefinic proton shifts of (Z)- 3 and (Z)- 4 with those of analogues and also of 1,1-bis(methylti)-2-nitroethylene ( 12 ) shows decreased conjugation of the lone pair of electrons of the ring N-atom in (Z)- 3 and (Z)- 4 . This is also supported by 13C-NMR studies. Plausible explanations for the phenomenon are offered by postulating that the ring N-atoms are pyramidal in (Z)- 3 and (Z)- 4 and planar in other cases or, alternatively, that the conjugated nitroenamine system gets twisted due to steric interaction between the NO2-group and the ring S-atom. Single-crystal X-ray studies of 3 and 8 show that the former exists in the (Z)-configuration and the latter in (E)-configuration; the ring N-atom in the former has slightly more pyramidal character than in the latter.  相似文献

The asymmetric synthesis of alkynyl and monofluoroalkenyl isoindolinones from N‐methoxy benzamides and α,α‐difluoromethylene alkynes is enabled by C?H activation with a chiral CpRhIII catalyst. Remarkably, product formation is solvent‐dependent; alkynyl isoindolinones are afforded in MeOH (up to 86 % yield, 99.6 % ee) whereas monofluoroalkenyl isoindolinones are generated in iPrCN (up to 98:2 Z/E, 93 % yield, 86 % ee). Mechanistic studies revealed chiral allene and E‐configured alkenyl rhodium species as reaction intermediates. The latter is transformed into the corresponding Z‐configured monofluoroalkene upon protonation in the iPrCN system and into an alkyne by an unusual anti β‐F elimination in the MeOH system. Notably, kinetic resolution processes occur in this reaction. Despite the moderate enantiocontrol for the formation of the chiral allene, the Z‐monofluoroalkenyl isoindolinones and alkynyl isoindolinones were obtained in good enantiopurities by one or two sequential kinetic resolution processes.  相似文献

DFT and MP2 methods were used to calculate structural parameters, vibrational modes, solvent effect, and energetic properties of amidrazones. Amidrazones can be presented by three tautomeric forms and six isomers. All tautomers and transition states were optimized at the B3LYP/6-311++g** and MP2/6-311++G** levels of theory. The relative stabilities of amidrazone isomers in the gas phase were found to be as 1Z > 1E > 2E > 2Z > 3E > 3Z > TS(1–2) > TS(1–3). The calculated energy differences between E and Z isomers are very low and between different tautomers are nearly low, but the energy barriers for tautomerism interconversions at the gas phase are high. The kinetic and thermodynamic data in solvents (chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, and water) are nearly similar to those in the gas phase but their rate constants are slightly less than those in the gas phase. Moreover, equilibrium and rate constants of intermolecular tautomerism in presence of 1–3 molecules of water were calculated. Computed energy barriers show that the barrier energy of water-assisted tautomerism is very lower than that in simple tautomerism and also calculated binding energies show that water can stabilize transition states more than tautomers. Therefore, this water-assisted tautomerism can be performed fast, especially with the assistance of two molecules of water.  相似文献

Condensation of aryl- and aroylhydrazines and thiosemicarbazide with 2-diphenylphosphinoyloxybenzaldehyde results in formation of the corresponding hydrazones and thiosemicarbazone. The products give rise to conformational equilibrium between rotational and Z,E isomers, which is strongly displaced toward the E,E',Z' isomer and is determined by the nature of substituent in the hydrazine fragment.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of the structural transformation of 2-(5-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-4-oxothiazolidin-2-ylidene)-N-(2-phenylethyl)-ethanamide in non-isothermal conditions were studied by using isoconversion as well as non-isoconversion techniques. It was shown that the crystal, Z-form of compound, was stable in the temperature range from room temperature to melting point, when E-form of compound was formed. This process involves the breaking of crystal structure and the forming of glass material as a new phase, which by cooling forms crystal of the E-form of compound very slowly. The dependences of kinetic parameters on fractional extent conversion were determined indicating a very complex process which involves more than one elementary step, as can be expected for most solid state reactions. The possible mechanism of the process was discussed according to the algorithm concerning the form of these dependences. The evaluation of kinetics parameters and isokinetic relationships were done by combination of model fitting and model-free approach.  相似文献
