Under investigation in this paper are two coupled integrable dispersionless (CID) equations modeling the dynamics of the current-fed string within an external magnetic field. Through a set of the dependent variable transformations, the bilinear forms for the CID equations are derived. Based on the Hirota method and symbolic computation, the analytic N-soliton solutions are presented. Infinitely many conservation laws for the CID equations are given through the known spectral problem. Propagationcharacteristics and interaction behaviors of the solitons are analyzed graphically.  相似文献

With the aid of computation, we consider the variable-coefficient coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations with the effects of group-velocity dispersion, self-phase modulation and cross-phase modulation, which have potential applications in the long-distance communication of two-pulse propagation in inhomogeneous optical fibers. Based on the obtained nonisospectral linear eigenvalue problems (i.e. Lax pair), we construct the Darboux transformation for such a model to derive the optical soliton solutions. In addition, through the one- and two-soliton-like solutions, we graphically discuss the features of picosecond solitons in inhomogeneous optical fibers.  相似文献

This paper applies the exp-function method, which was originally proposed to find new exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations, to the Riccati equation, and some exact solutions of this equation are obtained. Based on the Riccati equation and its exact solutions, we find new and more generalvariable separation solutions with two arbitrary functions of (1+1)-dimensional coupled integrable dispersionless system. As some special examples, some new solutions can degenerate into variable separation solutions reported in open literatures. By choosing suitably two independent variables p(x) and q(t) inour solutions, the annihilation phenomena of the flat-basin soliton, arch-basin soliton, and flat-top soliton are discussed.  相似文献

With the assistance of the symbolic computation system Maple, rich higher order polynomial-type conservation laws and a sixth order t/x-dependent conservation law are constructed for a generalized seventh order nonlinear evolution equation by using a direct algebraic method. From the compatibility conditions that guaranteeing the existence of conserved densities, an integrable unnamed seventh order KdV-type equation is found. By introducing some nonlinear transformations, the one-, two-, and three-solition solutions as well as the solitary wave solutions are obtained.  相似文献

A bilinear Baecklund transformation is presented for the three coupled higher-order nonlinear Schroedinger equations with the inclusion of the group velocity dispersion, third-order dispersion and Kerr-law nonlinearity, which can describe the dynamics of alpha helical proteins in living systems as well as the propagation of ultrashort pulses in wavelength-division multiplexed system. Starting from the Baecklund transformation, the analytical soliton solution is obtained from a trivial solution. Simultaneously, the N-soliton-like solution in double Wronskian form is constructed, and the corresponding proof is also given via the Wronskian technique. The results obtained from this paper might be valuable in studying the transfer of energy in biophysics and the transmission of light pulses in optical communication systems.  相似文献

In this paper, an infinite sequence of conservation laws for a generalized variable-coefficient fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation in fluids are constructed based on the Bäcklund transformation. Hirota bilinear form and symbolic computation are applied to obtain three kinds of solutions. Variablecoefficients can affect the conserved density, associated flux, andappearance of the characteristic lines. Effects of the wave number on the soliton structures are also discussed and types of soliton structures, e.g., the double-periodic soliton, parallel soliton and soliton complexes, are presented.  相似文献

European Journal of Applied Mathematics 13, 567 is used for finding the local conservation laws for some nonlinear partial differential equations. The method does not require the use or existence of a variational principle and reduces the calculation of conservation laws to solving a system of linear determining equations similar to that of finding symmetries. An explicit construction formula is derived which yields a conservation law for each solution of the determining system. Different methods to construct new exact solution classes for the same nonlinear partial differential equations are also presented, which are named hyperbolic function method and the Bäcklund transformations. On the other hand, other methods and transformations are developed to obtain exact solutions for some nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献

Kortweg-de Vries (KdV)-typed equations have been used to describe certain nonlinear phenomena in fluids and plasmas. Generalized complex coupled KdV(GCCKdV) equations are investigated in this paper. Through the dependent variable transformations and symbolic computation, GCCKdV equations are transformed into their bilinear forms, based on which the one- and two-soliton solutions are obtained. Through the interactions of two solitons, the regular elastic collision are shown. When the wave numbers are complex, three kinds of solitonic collisions are presented: (i) two solitons merge and separate fromeach other periodically; (ii) two solitons exhibit the attraction and repulsion nearly twice, and finally separate from each other after such type of interaction; (iii) two solitons are fluctuant in the central region of the collision. Propagation features ofsolitons are investigated with the effects of the coefficients in the GCCKdV equations considered. Velocity of soliton increase with the α increasing. Amplitude of v increase with the α increasing and decrease with the β increasing.  相似文献

The Korteweg-de Vries (KdV)-type equations have been seen in fluid mechanics, plasma physics and lattice dynamics, etc. This paper will address the bilinearization problem for some higher-order KdV equations. Based on the relationship between the bilinear method and Bell-polynomial scheme, with introducing an auxiliary independent variable, we will present the general bilinear forms. Two hierarchies of nonlinear integrable positive and negative lattice equations are derived from a discrete spectrak problem. The two lattice hierarchies are proved to have discrete zero curvature representations associated with a discrete spectral problem, which also shows that the positive and negative hierarchies correspond to positive and negative power expansions of Lax operators with respect to the spectral parameter, respectively. Moreover, the integrable lattice models in the positive hierarchy are of polynomial type, and the integrable lattice models in the negative hierarchy are of rational type. Further, we construct infinite conservation laws about the positive hierarchy.  相似文献

Based on the Weierstrass elliptic function equation, a new Weierstrass semi-rational expansion method and its algorithm are presented. The main idea of the method changes the problem solving soliton equations into another one solving the corresponding set of nonlinear algebraic equations. With the aid of Maple, we choose the modified KdV equation, (2+1)-dimensional KP equation, and (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equation to illustrate our algorithm. As a consequence, many types of new doubly periodic solutions are obtained in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic function. Moreover the corresponding new Jacobi elliptic function solutions and solitary wave solutions are also presented as simple limits of doubly periodic solutions.  相似文献

The extended tanh method is further improved by generalizing the Riccati equation and introducing its twenty seven new solutions. As its application, the (2+1)-dimensional Broer-Kaup equation is investigated and then its fifty four non-travelling wave solutions have been obtained. The results reported in this paper show that this method is more powerful than those, such as tanh method, extended tanh method, modified extended tanh method and Riccati equation expansion method introduced in previous literatures.  相似文献
