含分压电阻的光折变屏蔽光伏空间灰孤子

为了研究外加偏压光伏光折变晶体中的空间灰孤子,建立了含分压电阻的光折变屏蔽光伏空间灰孤子的演化方程,给出了灰孤子解.采用数值模拟的方法,求解灰孤子的数值表达式,得到了不同参量取值下的灰孤子包络.数值结果表明：当分压电阻、晶体的外加电场和光伏场取不同值时,可以分别得到有无分压电阻的屏蔽灰孤子|开路的光伏灰孤子,有、无分压电阻的闭路光伏灰孤子|有、无分压电阻的屏蔽光伏灰孤子.

Collisions of Two Spatial Solitons in Inhomogeneous Nonlinear Media

Collisions of spatial solitons occurring in the nonlinear Schröinger equation with harmonic potential are studied, using conservation laws and the split-step Fourier method. We find an analytical solution for the separation distance between the spatial solitons in an inhomogeneous nonlinear medium when the light beam is self-trapped in the transverse dimension. In the self-focusing nonlinear media the spatial solitons can be transmitted stably, and the interaction between spatial solitons is enhanced due to the linear focusing effect (and also diminished for the linear defocusing effect). In the self-defocusing nonlinear media, in the absence of self-trapping or in the presence of linear self-defocusing, no transmission of stable spatial solitons is possible. However, in such media the linear focusing effect can be exactly compensated, and the spatial solitons can propagate through.     

Two-dimensional spatial solitons in highly nonlocal nonlinear media

We investigate, analytically and numerically, a class of novel higher-order spatial solitons in two transverse-dimensions, in highly nonlocal nonlinear media. The stability of these solutions in propagation is confirmed by direct numerical simulation. Our results demonstrate that the higher-order spatial solitons in highly nonlocal nonlinear media can exist in various forms, such as the fundamental solitons, vortex-ring solitons, multipole solitons, and fractional solitons.

Embedded solitons in a three-wave system

We report a rich spectrum of isolated solitons residing inside (embedded into) the continuous radiation spectrum in a simple model of three-wave spatial interaction in a second-harmonic-generating planar optical waveguide equipped with a quasi-one-dimensional Bragg grating. An infinite sequence of fundamental embedded solitons is found, each one differing by the number of internal oscillations. Branches of these zero-walkoff spatial solitons give rise, through bifurcations, to several secondary branches of walking solitons. The structure of the bifurcating branches suggests a multistable configuration of spatial optical solitons, which may find straightforward applications for all-optical switching.

温度对中心对称光折变稳态暗孤子演化的影响

为了得到温度对中心对称光折变晶体中空间暗孤子影响的结果,数值研究了中心对称光折变暗孤子动态演化的温度特性。结果表明,孤子强度包络演化强烈地依赖于晶体的温度和介电常数的温度特性。在290-320K的温度变化范围内,暗孤子的宽度随温度的增加而变大,孤子的峰值强度随温度的增加而变小。在300K的温度下,中心对称光折变介质中可以形成稳定的暗空间孤子,当温度从300K升高或降低时,孤子将克服较小的扰动而保持稳定的传播。通过调整温度可以改变孤子的空间形态。

Spatial solitons in Kerr and Kerr-like media

This is a review paper of basic knowledge and recent advances in the area of spatial solitons in Kerr and Kerr-like media. We consider spatial bright and dark solitons, solitons in waveguide geometries, optical bullets, vortex solitons and, briefly, dissipative cases. In our treatment, we use a Hamiltonian approach when considering stability issues.

Low-amplitude Screening-photovoltaic Spatial Solitons in Biased Photovoltaic Photorefractive Crystals

The low-amplitude spatial solitons in biased photovoltaic photorefractive crystals are investigated theoretically. The analytical solutions for both the bright and the dark low-amplitude screening-photovoltaic spatial solitons in photorefractive crystals are obtained. The expressions for the width of these solitons are given. The explicit expressions for the spatial deflection and angular deviation of the bright low-amplitude screening-photovoltaic spatial soliton are also presented by taking into account the effect of diffusion.
