We show that any wavelet, with the support of its Fourier transform small enough, can be interpolated from a pair of wavelet sets. In particular, the support of the Fourier transform of such wavelets must contain a wavelet set, answering a special case of an open problem of Larson. The interpolation procedure, which was introduced by X. Dai and D. Larson, allows us also to prove the extension property.

In this note, given a multiresolution analysis, we construct a class of four-coefficient scaling filters using only elementary algebraic operations. This article addresses the issue of designing bases for L2(R2) that are generated by translations, rotations and dilations of a single mother wavelet ψ. We show how this construction can be simplified by setting an odd number of directions and by choosing properly the phase of the Fourier transform of ψ. A large part of the article is devoted to the proof of theorems that give sufficient conditions for ψ to generate a Riesz sequence and a Riesz basis for L2(R2). An example of Riesz sequence whose restriction to each scale is orthonormal is set. Theoretical results are confirmed by numerical experiments where a discrete directional wavelet transform is introduced.  相似文献

An s-elementary frame wavelet is a function which is a frame wavelet and is defined by a Lebesgue measurable set such that . In this paper we prove that the family of s-elementary frame wavelets is a path-connected set in the -norm. This result also holds for s-elementary -dilation frame wavelets in in general. On the other hand, we prove that the path-connectedness of s-elementary frame wavelets cannot be strengthened to uniform path-connectedness. In fact, the sets of normalized tight frame wavelets and frame wavelets are not uniformly path-connected either.

Let X be a real Banach space. Let be a family of closed, convex subsets of X. We show that either the intersection ?γΓ(Gγ)? of the ?-neighborhood of the sets Gγ is bounded for each ?>0, or it is unbounded for each ?>0. In this paper, we will discuss the constructiOn problems about the invariant sets and invariant measures of continues maps~ which map complexes into themselves, using simplical approximation and Markov cbeirs. In [7], the author defined a matrix by using r-normal subdivi of the w,dimensional unit cube, considered it a Markov matrix, and constructed the invariantset and invafiant measure, In fact, the matrix he defined is not Markov matrix generally. In this paper, we study the connections between properties of the action of a countable group on a countable set and the ergodic theoretic properties of the corresponding generalized Bernoulli shift, i.e., the corresponding shift action of on , where is a measure space. We show how to construct, out of a certain basis invariant under the action of one or more unitary operators, a second biorthogonal set with similar properties. In particular, we discuss conditions for this new set to be also a basis of the Hilbert space, and we apply the procedure to coherent states. The concept of super‐wavelet was introduced by Balan, and Han and Larson over the field of real numbers which has many applications not only in engineering branches but also in different areas of mathematics. To develop this notion on local fields having positive characteristic we obtain characterizations of super‐wavelets of finite length as well as Parseval frame multiwavelet sets of finite order in this setup. Using the group theoretical approach based on coset representatives, further we establish Shannon type multiwavelet in this perspective while providing examples of Parseval frame (multi)wavelets and (Parseval frame) super‐wavelets. In addition, we obtain necessary conditions for decomposable and extendable Parseval frame wavelets associated to Parseval frame super‐wavelets.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of impulsive delay Cohen-Grossberg neural networks (IDCGNNs) is investigated. By applying a nonlinear delay differential inequality with removing some restrictions on the amplification functions, some new and useful sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of global attracting and invariant sets for IDCGNNs are obtained. It is known that paraunitary matrices can be factorized into shift products of orthogonal matrices or linear factors. When the number of rows of such a matrix (i.e. the number of channels of a paraunitary filter bank) is even, the symmetry constraints corresponding to the linear phase property of the filter bank can be expressed as restrictions on factors — except the very first one, all must be centrosymmetric. For odd numbers of rows the situation is more complicated. It turns out that paraunitary matrices comprising an even number of square blocks do not exist and quadratic centrosymmetric factors have to be used in the 0-shift product factorization. The centrosymmetric linear and quadratic factors can be easily obtained from partitions of centrosymmetric orthogonal matrices. Their parameterizations are also described.The characterizations of paraunitary matrices obtained from these factorizations are complete; the question of the number of free parameters is discussed. Furthermore, the proposed factorizations also allow us to derive lattice structures for linear phase paraunitary filter banks and, since the basic regularity conditions can be incorporated as a constraint on the first factor, they can be used also for the construction of symmetric higher multiplicity wavelets.and Cooperative Research Centre for Sensor Signal and Information ProcessingThe author is an Overseas Postgraduate Research Scholar supported by the Australian Government.  相似文献

By excluding some proper subsets, which do not include any eigenvalues of tensors, from an existing eigenvalue localization set provided by Zhao and Sang, a new eigenvalue localization set for tensors is given. The aim of this paper is to prove that for every , every -Rider set is a -Sidon set for all {\frac p{2-p}}\cdot$"> This gives some positive answers for the union problem of -Sidon sets. We also obtain some results on the behavior of the Fourier coefficient of a measure with spectrum in a -Rider set.
