A method of radioactivation analysis has been developed for the determination of Ni, Au and Ag impurities in gallium arsenide. The separation and substoichiometric extraction of these elements were studied and analytical procedures are suggested for their determination. All components are separated by suitable procedures and determined by substoichiometric methods. Ni is extracted as diethyldithiocarbamate into toluene, Au as a complex of rhodamine-B in chloroform, and Ag as dithizonate in carbon tetrachloride. The contents of Ni, Au and Ag in a gallium arsenide crystal with a carrier concentration of 1.8·1016/cm3 were 0.05–0.08, 0.006–0.008 and 0.002–0.005 ppm, respectively.  相似文献

 Combined analytical procedures consisting of wet digestion step followed by instrumental determination – differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetry (DPCSV) or electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) – as well as a direct analysis method – slurry sampling ETAAS – for the determination of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni and Pb in milk, cheese and chocolate are described and compared. Wet digestion using a mixture of HNO3-HClO4-H2O2 is proposed for complete matrix decomposition prior to trace analyte determinati on by DPCSV or ETAAS. A mixture of HNO3-H2O2 is used for slurry preparation. Optimal instrumental parameters for trace analyte measurements are presented. The reliability of the procedures has been verified by analyzing standard reference materials. Results obtained are in good agreement with the certified values and the relative standard deviations (for these results) are in the range 5–10% for wet digestion DPCSV or ETAAS and 3–9% for slurry sampling ETAAS in the range of 2 μgċg−1 (Cd) to 12 μgċg−1 (Fe). Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a bimodal radiotherapeutic treatment based on the irradiation of neoplastic tissues with neutrons after the tissues have selectively accumulated molecules loaded with nuclides with large neutron capture cross-sections (such boron-10). Boron-10 carriers have been tested to a limited extent, and clinical trials have been conducted on sulfhydryl borane (10B-BSH) and boronophenylalanine (10B-BPA). However, precise and accurate measurements of boron-10 concentrations (0.1–100 μg/g) in specimens and samples of limited size (μg scale) are needed in order to be able to biologically characterise new compounds in predictive tissue dosimetry, toxicology and pharmacology studies as well as in clinical investigations. A new approach based on fast separation and detection of 10B-BPA performed by coupling capillary electrophoresis to electrospray mass spectrometry is reported. This method allows the quantitative analysis and characterisation of 10B-BPA in a short time with a high separation efficiency. Detection limits of 3 μM for 10B-BPA and 30 ng/mL for 10B were obtained with CE–ESI–MS. A quantification limit of 10 μM for 10B-BPA (100 ng/mL for 10B) was attained. The total boron-10 concentration was determined by high-resolution inductively coupled mass spectrometry in order to validate the method. Boron-10 isotope measurements were carried out by HR–ICP–MS at medium resolution (R=4000) due to the presence of an isobaric interference at mass 10. Good agreement was obtained between the values from CE–ESI–MS and those from HR–ICP–MS. The method has been successfully used to determine the 10B-BPA in two lines of cultured cells.  相似文献

For the determination of trace elements in organic liquids radiochemical neutron activation analysis has been combined with counting methods geared to various decay modes of indicator radionuclides leading to a high sensitivity required for ultrapure samples. The activation parameters such as irradiation time, sample mass and neutron flux have been enlarged to the maximum possible in the available irradiation facility. Separation yields and adsorption losses have been studied in detail for a set of elements in order to rule out losses during the separation process. The attainable limits of detection are 2 · 10–16g/g for U and Lu, in the 5 · 10–15g/g range for Th and Sm, in the 1 · 10–14g/g region for La, 5 · 10–13g/g for Rb, Cd and 2 · 10–12g/g for K and In. Although the analysis focused on traces of naturally occurring radioisotopes, results for Cr, Fe, W and Zn are presented as well. Newly developed, simple, low-cost and sensitive ion-selective electrodes have been proposed for determination of some antiepileptic drugs such as lamotrigine, felbamate, and primidone in their pharmaceutical preparations as well as in biological fluids. The electrodes are based on poly(vinyl chloride) membranes doped with drug–tetraphenyl borate (TPB) or drug–phosphotungstic acid (PT) ion-pair complexes as molecular recognition materials. The novel electrodes displayed rapid Nernstian responses with detection limits of approximately 10−7 M. Calibration graphs were linear over the ranges 5.2 × 10−7–1.0 × 10−3, 1.5 × 10−6–1.0 × 10−3, and 2.6 × 10−7–1.0 × 10−3 M for drug–TPB and 5.8 × 10−7–1.0 × 10−3, 1.8 × 10−7–1.0 × 10−3, and 6.6 × 10−7–1.0 × 10−3 M for drug–PT electrodes, respectively, with slopes ranging from 52.3 to 62.3 mV/decade. The membranes developed have potential stability for up to 1 month and proved to be highly selective for the drugs investigated over other ions and excipients. The results show that the selectivity of the ion-selective electrodes is influenced significantly by the plasticizer. The proposed electrodes were successfully applied in the determination of these drugs in pharmaceutical preparations in four batches of different expiry dates. Statistical Student’s t test and F test showed insignificant systematic error between the ion-selective electrode methods developed and a standard method. Comparison of the results obtained using the proposed electrodes with those found using a reference method showed that the ion-selective electrode technique is sensitive, reliable, and can be used with very good accuracy and high percentage recovery without pretreatment procedures of the samples to minimize interfering matrix effects. The paper presents and discusses radon activity concentrations in Cypriot groundwater systems as a function of the background lithology and seasonal/meteorological conditions using an airborne radon monitoring system (ARM) after separation of radon by out-gassing. Radiometric analysis of groundwater samples obtained from non-contaminated systems showed that radon concentration in groundwaters varies strongly (0.1–10 Bq L−1) depending mainly on the hosting geological matrix but also to lesser degree on atmospheric/meteorological conditions. The associated excess annual dose has been estimated to range between 10−6 and 10−4 mSv y−1, which is an insignificant contribution to the radiation exposure of the Cypriot population caused by airborne radon (0.5 ± 0.4 mSv y−1).  相似文献

The extraction of PAN chelates of the group IB, IIB and IIIA–VA elements from aqueous solutions of pH 1–10 into chloroform has been studied radiochemically. Re-extraction studies have been made to strip the metal ions from the organic phase into aqueous solutions of KCN, HClO4 and buffer solutions. The effects of certain masking agents on the extraction of these elements have also been studied. The extraction curves indicate the possibilities of devising group chemical separation procedures for use in activation analysis.  相似文献

N,N-dimethylhydroxylamine (DMHA) is a novel salt-free reducing reagent used in the separation U from Pu and Np in the reprocessing of power spent fuel. This paper reports on the radiolysis of aqueous DMHA solution and its radiolytic liquid organics. Results show that the main organics in irradiated DMHA solution are N-methyl hydroxylamine, formaldehyde and formic acid. The analysis of DMHA and N-methyl hydroxylamine were performed by gas chromatography, and that of formaldehyde was performed by ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry. The analysis of formic acid was performed by ion chromatography. For 0.1–0.5 mol L−1 DMHA irradiated to 5–25 kGy, the residual DMHA concentration is (0.07–0.47) mol L−1, the degradation rate of DMHA at 25 kGy is 10.1–30.1%. The concentrations of N-methylhydroxylamine, formaldehyde and formic acid are (8.25–19.36) × 10−3, (4.20–36.36) × 10−3 and (1.35–10.9) × 10−4 mol L−1, respectively. The residual DMHA concentration decreases with the increasing dose. The concentrations of N-methylhydroxylamine and formaldehyde increase with the dose and initial DMHA concentration, and that of formic acid increases with the dose, but the relationship between the concentration of formic acid and initial DMHA concentration is not obvious.  相似文献

Ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC–MS–MS) has been used for screening and quantification of 32 pesticides and metabolites in two fruit matrices. The compounds investigated belonged to different chemical families of insecticides, acaricides, fungicides, and herbicides; several metabolites were also included. Quantification was conducted using matrix-matched standards calibration; response was a linear function of concentration in the range tested (10–500 ng mL−1). The method was validated with blank samples of lemon and raisin spiked at 0.01 and 0.1 mg kg−1, and recoveries were satisfactory, between 70 and 110%, for most of the pesticides tested and relative standard deviations were below 15% (n = 5 at each spiking level). Excellent sensitivity resulted in limits of detection for all compounds well below 0.01 mg kg−1, with the limit of quantification being validated at 0.01 mg kg−1. The UPLC system generates narrow peaks (approx. 5 s), thus increasing peak height and improving sensitivity. This improved separation efficiency facilitates adequate resolution not only of the analytes but also of matrix interferences compared with conventional HPLC. The method developed could also resolve some geometric isomers. The main advantage of this approach is the high sample throughput achieved because of the short analysis time, which enables satisfactory separation of all the compounds in less than 5 min per sample.  相似文献

Cryptotanshinone is the major active component from the root of Salvia miltiorrhiza which has been widely used for the management of coronary heart disease. The aims of this study were to develop and validate an HPLC method for the determination of cryptotanshinone in the human intestinal cell line Caco-2 monolayers, and to investigate the transport kinetics of cryptotanshinone. The developed HPLC method was sensitive and reliable, with acceptable accuracy (90–110% of true values) and precision (intra- and inter-assay CV < 10%). The total running time was within 10 min, with acceptable separation of the compounds of interest. The limit of quantitation (LOQ) for cryptotanshinone was 10 ng mL−1. A simple liquid–liquid extraction procedures resulted in an extraction efficiency of 90.8 ± 8.9 and 93.5 ± 6.2% for cryptotanshinone at 0.1 and 3 μg mL−1. The calibration curve was linear over the concentration range of 0.05–3.0 μg mL−1 with the mean correlation coefficients >0.999. The validated HPLC method was applied to examine the epithelial transport of cryptotanshinone by Caco-2 monolayers. The transport across the monolayers from the apical (B) to basolateral (A) side was significantly higher than that from A to B side. The structural analog of cryptotanshinone and a known substrate of P-glycoprotein, tanshinone IIA, dramatically inhibited the B to A transport of cryptotanshinone in the monolayers. These results indicate that the developed HPLC method was suitable for the study of transport of cryptotanshinone by Caco-2 monolayers and cryptotanshinone is a substrate of P-glycoprotein.  相似文献

Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) was used for the separation of the sulfur species SO3 2–, SO4 2–, S2O3 2– and S2O8 2–. Using an electrolyte system with 9.5 mmol L–1 potassium chromate as UV-absorbing probe and 1 mmol L–1 diethylenetriamine (DETA) as electroosmotic flow modifier, various possibilities for the stabilization of sulfite and electrophoretic separation of the sulfur anions were investigated. By adding 5% propanol as a stabilizer to both the working electrolyte and the sample solution, a good stabilization for sulfite and a separation of the sulfur anions in a short analysis time (4 min) was achieved. The advantages by using propanol instead of other stabilizers often used in analytical techniques are discussed. The electrophoretic separation of the sulfur anions was optimized with respect to the pH of the working electrolyte and concentration of the electroosmotic flow modifier (DETA). The detection limits achieved for SO3 2–, SO4 2–, S2O3 2– and S2O8 2– were 0.35, 0.25, 0.78 and 0.80 mg L–1, respectively. A reliable and highly sensitive method for the determination of hesperidin is described. It involves the formation of a highly fluorescent complex between hesperidin and aluminium (III) in a micellar medium. There is a linear relationship between fluorescence intensity (λem = 496 nm, λex = 391 nm) and hesperidin concentration over the range 5 × 10–7– 2 × 10–5 mol L–1. The detection limit is 79 μg L–1. The method can easily be adapted to a flow system using a three-channel manifold, the peak height being proportional to the hesperidin concentration over the range 1 × 10–6– 1 × 10–4 mol L–1. Manual and flow-injection procedures have been successfully applied to the determination of hesperidin in orange peel and orange juice. natY foil was irradiated by 20 MeV proton to produce no-carrier-added 88,89Zr. A comparative evaluation on radioanalytical separation methods of 88,89Zr was carried out from irradiated target matrix by both liquid–liquid (LLX) and solid–liquid (SLX) extraction methods using di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (HDEHP) dissolved in cyclohexane as liquid cation exchanger and Dowex 50W-X8 H+ form (20–50 mesh) as solid cation exchanger. Both the methods offer good separation and high yield of nca 88,89Zr but SLX offers much higher separation factor and better yield.  相似文献

A technique has been developed for the electrodeposition of thorium on stainless stell planchettes following standard radiochemical separation and uptake in acetate buffer. The method has been used on over 130 samples including calcrete, clay, granite and shell matrices. To assess the efficiency at ultra low levels, three solutions of carrier free228Th (<1.5–10−7 μg in 5 ml electrolyte) and four solutions of229Th (4.4–10−4 μg in 5 ml) were studied. The efficiencies of the former avaregad 66 per cent; those of the229Th varied from 41 to 91%.  相似文献

A sensitive and specific liquid chromatographic method with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC–ESI-MS) has been developed and validated for identification and quantification of mitiglinide in human urine. A simple liquid–liquid extraction procedure was followed by separation on a C18 column with gradient elution, and detection using a single-quadrupole mass spectrometer in selected-ion-monitoring (SIM) mode. The method was tested using six different batches of urine. Linearity was established for the mitiglinide concentrations in the range 0.005–1.0 μg mL−1, with a coefficient of determination (r) of 0.9998 and good back-calculated accuracy and precision. Intra- and inter-day precision (as RSD, %) was below 10% and accuracy for mitiglinide ranged from 85 to 115%. The lower limit of quantification was reproducible at 0.002 μg mL−1 for 500 μL urine. The proposed method enables unambiguous identification and quantification of mitiglinide in pre-clinical and clinical studies.  相似文献

The chiral separation of dansyl-amino acids has been performed by capillary zone electrophoresis using ?β-cyclodextrin as a chiral selector, urea as an additive and 2-propanol and methanol as organic modifiers. The enantiomeric separations of dansyl-amino acids were investigated in aqueous medium and compared with the separation in mixed aqueous-organic medium as background electrolytes. The separation conditions, (concentration of buffer, β-cyclodextrin, methanol, urea and the pH value of buffer) were optimized. In the absence of organic modifier, only five pairs of 8 separated dansyl-amino acids were resolved when run separately. A mixture of up to eight chiral amino acids can be baseline resolved in less than 19 min by β-cyclodextrin-modified capillary zone electrophoresis with a buffer of 60 mmol L–1 H3BO3-KCl/40 mmol L–1 NaOH (pH 9.0), 4 mol L–1 urea, 100 mmol L–1β-cyclodextrin and 10% (v/v) methanol. A sensitive and reliable ion-paired high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been established for the simultaneous quantification of six major active ingredients, namely baicalin, baicalein, wogonin, oxysophocarpine, oxymatrine and matrine in the Chinese herbal preparation, Sanwu-Huangqin-Tang. HPLC analyses were performed on a Phenomenex luna C18 column with mobile phase of methanol–acetonitrile–aqueous phosphoric acid at a flow rate of 0.9 mL min−1. The complete separation was achieved within 35 min for the six target constituents. A good linear regression relationship between peak-areas and concentrations was obtained over the range of 12.10–242.0 μg*mL−1 for baicalin, 5.05–101.0 μg*mL−1 for baicalein, 0.95–19.0 μg*mL−1 for wogonin, 2.75–55.0 μg*mL−1 for oxysophocarpin, 2.75–55.0 μg*mL−1 for oxymatrine and 4.90–98.0 μg*mL−1 for matrine, respectively. The repeatability was evaluated by intra- and inter-day assays with relative standard deviation (RSD) being less than 5.1%. The recoveries, measured at three concentration levels, varied from 93.8 to 102.1%. The assay was successfully applied for determination of six bioactive compounds in Sanwu-Huangqin-Tang. The interaction of chemical constituents was observed when the herbs were used in compatibility. The results indicated that the developed assay method was rapid, accurate and could be readily utilized as a quality control method for Sanwu-Huangqin-Tang.  相似文献

A selective and effective column chromatographic separation method has been developed for uranium(VI) using poly[dibenzo-18-crown-6]. The separation was carried out in L-valine medium. The adsorption of uranium(VI) was quantitative from 1.0 × 10−4 to 1 × 10−1 M of L-valine. Amongst various eluents 2.0–8.0 M hydrochloric acid, 1.0–4.0 M sulfuric acid, 1.0–5.0 M perchloric acid, 6.0–8.0 M hydrobromic acid and 5.0–6.0 M acetic acid were found to be efficient eluents for uranium(Vl). The capacity of poly[dibenzo-18-crown-6] for uranium(VI) was 0.25 ± 0.01 mmol/g of crown polymer. Uranium(VI) was separated from number of cations and anions in binary mixtures in which most of the cations and anions show a very high tolerance limit. The selective separation of uranium(VI) was carried out from multicomponent mixtures. The method was extended to determination of uranium(VI) in geological samples. The method is simple, rapid and selective with good reproducibility (approximately ∼2%).  相似文献

The determination of actinides in environmental soil and sediment samples are very important for environmental monitoring. A rapid actinide separation method has been developed and implemented that allows measurement of U, Pu and Am isotopes in large soil samples (10–15 g) with high chemical yields and effective removal of matrix interferences. The radiochemical procedures involve the total dissolution of soil samples, separation on anion-exchange resin, and separation and purification by extraction chromatography, e.g., UTEVA, TEVA, and TRU with measurements of radionuclides by alpha-spectrometry. The validation of the method is performed through the analysis of reference materials or by participating in laboratory intercomparison programs.  相似文献

We have developed a radiochemical neutron activation analysis technique (RNAA) of pure uranium with using extraction chromatographic separation of 239Np from impurity elements in TBP-6M HNO3 media. The estimation of influence of fission products of 235U on the results by radiochemical neutron activation analysis has been carried out. For it we have performed NAA with preconcentration of impurity elements. Experiments show that in this case the apparent concentration of Y, Zr, Mo, Cs, La, Ce, Pr, Nd exceeds the true concentration by 2500–3000 times. Therefore, determination of these elements is not possible by RNAA. This technique allowed to use the determination of 26 impurity elements with detection limit 10−5–10−9% by mass. This developed technique may be used for the determination of impurities in uranium and its compounds.  相似文献
