We characterize the boundedness and compactness of weighted composition operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces in terms of Nevanlinna counting functions and Carleson measure.     

On Weighted L~p-Approximation by Weighted Bernstein-Durrmeyer Operators

In the present paper,we establish direct and converse theorems for weighted Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators under weighted L~p-norm with Jacobi weight w(x) = x~α(1-x)~β.All the results involved have no restriction α,β 1-1/p,which indicates that the weighted Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators have some better approximation properties than the usual Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators.

Weighted entropies

We present an axiomatic characterization of entropies with properties of branching, continuity, and weighted additivity. We deliberately do not assume that the entropies are symmetric. The resulting entropies are generalizations of the entropies of degree α, including the Shannon entropy as the case α = 1. Such “weighted” entropies have potential applications to the “utility of gambling” problem.     

Generalized Weighted Composition Operators on Weighted Bergman Spaces

The boundedness and compactness of the generalized weighted composition operator on weighted Bergman spaces are discussed.     

Weighted nucleoli

Cooperative games in characteristic function form (TU games) are considered. We allow for variable populations or carriers. Weighted nucleoli are defined via weighted excesses for coalitions. A solution satisfies the Null Player Out (NPO) property, if elimination of a null player does not affect the payoffs of the other players. For any single-valued and efficient solution, the NPO property implies the null player property. We show that a weighted nucleolus has the null player property if and only if the weights of multi-player coalitions are weakly decreasing with respect to coalition inclusion. Weighted nucleoli possessing the NPO-property can be characterized by means of a multiplicative formula for the weights of the multi-player coalitions and a restrictive condition on the weights of one-player coalitions. Weighted Composition Operators Between Weighted Bloch Type Spaces and Weighted Banach Spaces of Holomorphic Functions

Let φ: 𝔻 → 𝔻 and ψ: 𝔻 → ? be analytic maps. They induce a weighted composition operator ψ C _φ acting between weighted Bloch type spaces and weighted Banach spaces of holomorphic functions. Under some assumptions on the weights, we give a necessary as well as a sufficient condition when such an operator is bounded resp. compact.

In this paper, a new matrix decomposition called the weighted polar decomposition is considered. Two uniqueness theorems of weighted polar decomposition are presented, and the best approximation property of weighted unitary polar factor and perturbation bounds for weighted polar decomposition are also studied.
