Ionization of esters of carboxylic acids RCOOR' (R = H, alkyl; R' = alkyl) within the air plasma of the Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) source occurs largely via H(+)-transfer and, to a minor extent, via NO(+) association. The protonated ester MH(+) is normally observed as M(2)H(+) and as higher aggregates (M(3)H(+), M(3)H(+)(H(2)O)) also at high source temperature. The behavior of M(2)H(+) upon collisional activation is consistent with the reported dissociation of proton-bound dimers to MH(+) species that, in turn, fragment according to the known paths of lowest energy. In addition, other important product ions form within the plasma, some in very high relative abundance, which are attributed to ion-molecule condensation reactions between neutral M and either MH(+) or M(2)H(+) resulting in the elimination of CO, R'OH, alkene from the alkoxy moiety of the ester and HCOOH. A general scheme is proposed to account for the experimental observations, which suggest that the encounter complex formed between MH(+) and M or between M(2)H(+) and M may either collisionally relax to the protonated dimer or trimer, respectively, or react via covalent bond forming and cleaving steps to eliminate stable neutral molecules. The proposed scheme is supported by both the observed concentration dependence and the temperature dependence of the products relative abundances within the plasma. Such reactions can be the dominant process, as in the case of formate esters. A second significant ionization route involves addition of NO(+) to form M(n)NO(+) (n = 1, 2, 3). An additional product corresponding to [M(2)NO(+) - CO(2)] is also observed with iso- and n-butyl formate esters.  相似文献

A highly selective two-step approach to chiral β-amino esters via the hydride reductive amination of chiral allenes is reported. β-Enamino esters were obtained from the nucleophilic addition of amines to 2,3-allenoates bearing a chiral auxiliary. The reduction of the (1R)-(−)-10-phenylsulfonylisobornyl β-enamino esters gave the corresponding β-amino esters with S configuration whereas the reduction of the (1S)-(+)-10-phenylsulfonylisobornyl β-enamino esters led to β-amino esters with R configuration. The rationalization of the observed selectivity was supported by semi-empirical molecular orbital calculations (PM3).  相似文献

Extensive investigations of asymmetric intermolecular cyclopropanation of terminal alkenes with diazoacetates catalyzed by ruthenium porphyrin [Ru(P*)(CO)(EtOH)] (1, H2P = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis[(1S,4R,5R,8S)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-1,4:5,8-dimethanoanthracene-9-yl]porphyrin) and the application of catalyst 1 to asymmetric intramolecular cyclopropanation of allylic or homoallylic diazoacetates are described. The intermolecular cyclopropanation of styrene and its derivatives with ethyl diazoacetate afforded the corresponding cyclopropyl esters in up to 98% ee with high trans/cis ratios of up to 36 and extremely high catalyst turnovers of up to 1.1 x 10(4). Examination of the effects of temperature, diazoacetate, solvent, and substituent in the intermolecular cyclopropanation reveals that (i) both enantioselectivity and trans selectivity increase with decreasing temperature, (ii) sterically encumbered diazoacetates N2CHCO2R, such as R = Bu(t), and donor solvents, such as diethyl ether and tetrahydrofuran, are beneficial to the trans selectivity, and (iii) electron-donating para substituents on styrene accelerate the cyclopropanations, with the log(k(X)/k(H)) vs sigma(+) plot for para-substituted styrenes p-X-C6H4CH=CH2 (X = MeO, Me, Cl, CF3) exhibiting good linearity with a small negative rho(+) value of -0.44 +/- 0.09. In the case of intramolecular cyclopropanation, complex 1 promoted the decomposition of a series of allylic diazoacetates to form the cyclopropyl lactones in up to 85% ee, contributing the first efficient metalloporphyrin catalyst for an asymmetric intramolecular cyclopropanation. Both the inter- and intramolecular cyclopropanations were proposed to proceed via a reactive chiral ruthenium carbene intermediate. The enantioselectivities in these processes were rationalized on the basis of the X-ray crystal structures of closely related stable chiral carbene complexes [Ru(P*)(CPh2)] (2) and [Ru(P*)(C(Ph)CO2CH2CH=CH2)] (3) obtained from reactions of complex 1 with N2CPh2 and N2C(Ph)CO2CH2CH=CH2, respectively.  相似文献

The (+)- and (-) enantiomers of potassium α-phenylglycidate, an irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme mandelate racemase, were synthesized by resolution of the diastereomeric esters with R-(-)-2-octanol. Base-catalyzed ring-opening of the resolved α-phenylglycidate esters gave the enantiomers of 2,3-dihydroxy-2-phenylpropanoic acid, also obtained by resolution of the racemic dihydroxy acid using ephedrine. A comparison of the chiroptical properties of the esters of α-phenylglycidic and 2,3-dihydroxy-2-phenylpropanoic acids with those of the structurally similar atrolactic and mandelic acids and their 2-methoxy-derivatives showed that the (-)-methyl 2,3-dihydroxy-2-phenylpropanoate corresponding to the (+)-enantiomer of potassium α-phenylglycidate, as well as the esters of α-phenylglycidic acid derived from the same (+)-potassium salt, were all configurationally related to S-(+)-atrolactic and mandelic acids. The configurational assignments made on the basis of the chiroptical data were confirmed by lithium aluminum hydride reduction of the (-)-2-octyl S- and R-α-phenylglycidates, which led exclusively to the R-(-)- and S-(+)-2-phenyl-1, 2-propanediols, respectively, previously related configurationally to R-(-)- and S-(+)-atrolactic acids.  相似文献

Allylic pinacol boronic esters are stable toward 1,3‐borotropic rearrangement. We developed a PdII‐mediated isomerization process that gives di‐ or trisubstituted allylic boronic esters with high E selectivity. The combination of this method with lithiation–borylation enables the synthesis of carbon chains that bear 1,5‐stereogenic centers. The utility of this method has been demonstrated in a formal synthesis of (+)‐jasplakinolide.  相似文献

The variations of the selectivity coefficient K(A)(B) between Na(+)-H(+), Na(+)-K(+), and Na(+)-Cu(2+) systems and the separation factor alpha(A)(B) between Na(+)-Cu(2+) and K(+)-Cu(2+) systems in cation-exchange membranes as functions of loading and particle size of resin have been measured. Leucascandrolide A ((+)- 1 ), a doubly O-bridged 18-membered macrolide of a new type, i.e., showing little C1-branching vs. extensive 1,3-dioxygenation and a peculiar side chain, was isolated from a calcareous sponge of a new genus, Leucascandra caveolata BOROJEVIC and KLAUTAU from the Coral Sea. Transesterification of (+)- 1 gave the methyl ester 3 , derived from the side chain, and the 5-hydroxy derivative (+)- 2 , derived from the macrolide portion and with the natural configuration at C(5) (axial). Mosher's MTPA esters 4 and 5 obtained from (+)- 2 showed scattered Δδ = (δ(S) ? δ(R)) data. However, inversion of the configuration at C(5) led, via ketone (+)- 6 , to the less encumbered 5-equatorial hydroxy derivative (+)- 7 , whose MTPA esters 8 and 9 gave consistent Δδ data, allowing the assignment of the absolute configuration of (+)- 7 , and hence of (+)- 1 . The structural novelty of (+)- 1 and its powerful antifungal and cytotoxic activities are likely to renew interest in calcareous sponges, previously limited to scarcely biologically active 2-aminoimidazoles.  相似文献

A very efficient method for performing stereoselective aldol reactions is reported. The reaction of (S, S)-(+)-pseudoephedrine-derived propionamide enolates with several aldehydes yielded exclusively one of the four possible diastereomers in good yields, although transmetalation of the firstly generated lithium enolate with a zirconium(II) salt, prior to the addition of the aldehyde, is necessary in order to achieve high syn selectivity. The so-formed syn-alpha-methyl-beta-hydroxy amides were transformed into other valuable chiral nonracemic synthons such as alpha-methyl-beta-hydroxyacids, esters, and ketones. Finally, a stereocontrolled reduction procedure starting from the so-obtained alpha-methyl-beta-hydroxy ketones has been developed allowing the synthesis of either 1,3-syn- or 1,3-anti-alpha-methyl-1,3-diols in almost enantiopure form by choosing the appropriate reaction conditions.  相似文献

Alkali metal cations often show pronounced ion-specific interactions and selectivity with macromolecules in biological processes, colloids, and interfacial sciences, but a fundamental understanding about the underlying microscopic mechanism is still very limited. Here we report a direct probe of interactions between alkali metal cations (M(+)) and dicarboxylate dianions, (-)O(2)C(CH(2))(n)CO(2)(-) (D(n)(2-)) in the gas phase by combined photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) and ab initio electronic structure calculations on nine M(+)-D(n)(2-) complexes (M = Li, Na, K; n = 2, 4, 6). PES spectra show that the electron binding energy (EBE) decreases from Li(+) to Na(+) to K(+) for complexes of M(+)-D(2)(2-), whereas the order is Li(+) < Na(+) ≈ K(+) when M(+) interacts with a more flexible D(6)(2-) dianion. Theoretical modeling suggests that M(+) prefers to interact with both ends of the carboxylate -COO(-) groups by bending the flexible aliphatic backbone, and the local binding environments are found to depend upon backbone length n, carboxylate orientation, and the specific cation M(+). The observed variance of EBEs reflects how well each specific dicarboxylate dianion accommodates each M(+). This work demonstrates the delicate interplay among several factors (electrostatic interaction, size matching, and strain energy) that play critical roles in determining the structures and energetics of gaseous clusters as well as ion specificity and selectivity in solutions and biological systems.  相似文献

The racemic alcohols, 2-methylbutanol-l, 3-methylbutanol-2, pentanol-2 and hexanol-2 have been esterified with optically active mandelic or lactic acid, and the resultant mixtures of diastereoisomeric esters separated chromatographically with an optically inactive sulphonated polystyrene resin as the stationary phase and water or dilute aqueous sodium sulphate as the mobile phase. Lactate esters were more easily separated than mandelate esters. The Chromatographic separation of 26 mmole of (+/-)-3-methyl-2-butyl(+)-lactate and subsequent hydrolysis of the fractions containing only the ester of the (+)-alcohol yielded 1-2 mmole of pure 3-methyl-2-butanol.  相似文献

The base-mediated reaction of enantiomerically pure -sulfinylketimine (+)-1 with (E)-,β-disubstituted propenoate esters afforded 3,4-disubstituted-5-(p-tolylsulfinyl)-5,6-dehydropiperidin-2-ones 9-13 and 14 with high or complete diastereoselectivity. A sole diastereomer of the four possible ones, with regard to the nature of ester, was isolated, which revealed the stereocontrol of the chiral sulfinyl group in the Michael reaction and transenolization steps. In addition, the enantioselective synthesis of ethyl (+)-(3S,4aS,7aS)-1-oxo-octahydro-1H-cyclopenta[c]pyridine-3-carboxylates (+)-17 is described (five steps; 47% yield; ee 97%). The absolute configuration of stereocentres introduced in (+)-17 was assigned on the basis of 1H NMR data.  相似文献

Selective activation of the side-chain C–H bond of alkylbenzenes and methylcyclohexenes is achieved by a Pd(OAc)2/Sn(OAc)2 catalyst system. Under an oxygen atmosphere, various benzyl esters were obtained from the substrates and carboxylic anhydrides. The esters were obtained in more than 100% yield based on the amount of benzoic anhydride, and consumption of oxygen was observed. This suggests that oxygen may be incorporated to produce two moles of the benzoxyl group from one mole of benzoic anhydride. It is interesting that either 1-, 3- or 4-methylcyclohexene reacted with benzoic anhydride to give benzyl benzoate. These carboxylations proceeded at the side-chain alkyl group with high selectivity and no ring-carboxylated product or coupling product was detected. From these results, a mechanism involving the formation of a η3-benzylpalladium complex was proposed. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

To quantitatively elucidate the effects of the side chains and diluents on the extraction selectivity for sodium and potassium picrates of 15-(2,5-dioxahexyl)-15-methyl-16-crown-5 (L16C5) from the viewpoint of equilibrium, the constants for the overall extraction (K(ex)), the partition for various diluents of low dielectric constants (K(D,MLA)), and the aqueous ion-pair formation (K(MLA)) of L16C5-sodium and -potassium picrate 1:1:1 complexes were determined at 25 degrees C; the distribution constants of L16C5 were also measured at 25 degrees C. The log K(MLA) values for Na(+) and K(+) are 2.74+/-0.29 and 1.70+/-0.36, respectively. In going from 16-crown-5 (16C5) to L16C5, the side chains decrease the K(MLA) value, but do not increase the difference in K(MLA) between Na(+) and K(+). The distribution behavior of L16C5 and its 1:1:1 complexes with the alkali metal picrates closely obeys regular solution theory, except for chloroform. Molar volumes and solubility parameters of L16C5 and the 1:1:1 complexes were determined. The magnitude of K(ex) is mainly governed by the K(M(L16C5)A) value. For every diluent, L16C5 shows Na(+) extraction selectivity over K(+). The Na(+) extraction selectivity of L16C5 is determined completely by K(M(L16C5)A). The extraction ability and selectivity for sodium and potassium picrates by L16C5 are compared with those of 16C5 on the basis of the fundamental equilibrium constants.  相似文献

The synthesis and application of three examples of a new class of chiral (C(2)) atropisomeric diphosphines characterized by two interconnected five-membered heteroaromatic rings, with hindered rotation around the interanular bond, are described. Optically pure (+)- and (-)-2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-4,4',6,6'-tetramethyl-3,3'-bibenzo[b]thiophene (tetraMe-bitianp) (1a) and the parent unsubstituted system (+)- and (-)-bitianp (1b) were synthesized. They were found to be optically stable at 100 degrees C and were successfully employed as ligands in the Ru(II)-catalyzed hydrogenation of alpha- and beta-oxo esters to the corresponding alpha- and beta-hydroxy esters and in the hydrogenation of olefinic substrates. The optical and chemical yields were comparable with those reported for the same Ru(II)-binap-catalyzed reactions carried out under the same experimental conditions. The 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-3,3'-bibenzo[b]furan (1c), the oxygenated analogue of bitianp, was found to be configurationally unstable at room temperature. Complete structural X-ray elucidation of the Pd complexes of 1a-c is reported. The advantages of these biheteroaromatic ligands over the classical biaryl systems are discussed.  相似文献

Ion-molecule reactions between the O=P(OCH(3))(2) (+) phosphonium ions and five aliphatic esters (methyl acetate, methyl propionate, methyl 2-methylpropionate, methyl butyrate and ethyl acetate) were performed in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer. The O=P(OCH(3))(2) (+) phosphonium ions, formed by electron ionization from neutral trimethyl phosphite, were found to react with aliphatic esters to give an adduct ion [RR'CHCOOR", O=P(OCH(3))(2)](+), which loses spontaneously a molecule of ketene CH(2)=CO or substituted ketenes RR'C=CO. Isotope-labeled methyl acetate was used to elucidate fragmentation mechanisms. The potential energy surface obtained from B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) calculations for the reaction between O=P(OCH(3))(2) (+) and methyl acetate is described.  相似文献

Silyl-protected (R)-methyl 2-(hydroxymethyl)butanoate was obtained by an enantioselective Ir-catalyzed hydrogenation in high yield and selectivity. Elaboration of this building block via Takai and Stille reactions gave a protected hydroxy polyene chain, which was coupled to a 5-hydroxyphenyl-4-hydroxy-2-pyridone derivative by a modified Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction. Deprotection gave synthetic (+)-torrubiellone C, which led to the assignment of the configuration of the natural product as (R).  相似文献

The new π-conjugated 1,2,3-triazol-1,4-diyl fluoroionophore 1 generated via Cu(I) catalyzed [3 + 2] cycloaddition shows high fluorescence enhancement factors (FEF) in the presence of Na(+) (FEF=58) and K(+) (FEF=27) in MeCN and high selectivity towards K(+) under simulated physiological conditions (160 mM K(+) or Na(+), respectively) with a FEF of 2.5 for K(+).  相似文献

Alkylation of 3- and 4-(5-amino-4-hetaryl-2,3-dihydro-3-oxopyrrol-1-yl)benzoic acids with phenacyl bromides or chloroacetanilides in DMF in the presence of triethylamine occurs at the carboxy group with high selectivity and yields the corresponding phenacyl and arylcarbamoylmethyl esters. The initial pyrrolylbenzoic acids were synthesized by reaction of 3- and 4-aminobenzoic acids with 4-chloro-2-hetaryl-3-oxo-butyronitriles.  相似文献

An efficient strategy is described for the total synthesis of the sarpagine-related indole alkaloids (-)-(E)16-epiaffinisine (1), (+)-(E)16-epinormacusine B (2), and (+)-dehydro-16-epiaffinisine (4). A key step employed the chemospecific and regiospecific hydroboration/oxidation at C(16)-C(17); this method has also resulted in the synthesis of (+)-dehydro-16-epinormacusine B (5). The oxy-anion Cope rearrangement followed by protonation of the enolate that resulted under conditions of kinetic control has been employed to generate the key asymmetric centers at C(15), C(16), and C(20) in alkaloid G (7) in a highly stereocontrolled fashion (>43:1). Conditions that favor control of the sarpagine stereochemistry at C(16) vs the epimeric ajmaline configuration at the same stereocenter have been determined. The formation of the required cyclic ether in 4, 5, and 7 was realized with complete control from the top face on treatment of the corresponding alcohols with DDQ/THF or DDQ/aq THF in excellent yields.  相似文献

In this paper, it is reported that the efficient iodolactonization of 4,5-allenoic acid with I2 in cyclohexane in the presence or absence of K2CO3 afforded 5-(1'-iodo-1'(Z)-alkenyl)-4,5-dihydro-2(3H)-furanones highly stereoselectively. However, the reaction of axially optically active 4,5-allenoic acids (R)-(-)-5 a and (R)-(-)-5 b with I2 afforded the corresponding products with a serious loss of chirality. This problem was solved by conducting the iodolactonization with N-iodosuccinimide in CH2Cl2 in the presence of Cs2CO3; however, the Z/E selectivity is somewhat lower. The pure optically active Z products were prepared by subsequent kinetic resolution with Sonogashira coupling. The reaction of the substrates with a substituent at the 3-position of the starting 4,5-allenoic acids afforded the trans-4,5-disubstituted gamma-butyrolactones as the only products. The reaction of the 4,5-allenoic acids (S)-(+)-1 l, (R)-(-)-1 l, and (S)-(+)-1 m with a center chirality at the 3-position afforded the trans products with very high enantiopurity and up to 98:2 Z/E selectivity regardless of the axial chirality of the allene moiety.  相似文献
