Bosonization approach to the classical supersymmetric systems is presented. By introducing the multi-fermionic parameters in the expansions of the superfields, the N=1 supersymmetric KdV (sKdV) system is transformed to a system of coupled bosonic equations. The method can be applied to any fermionic systems. By solving the coupled bosonic equations, some novel types of exact solutions can be explicitly obtained. Especially, the richness of the localized excitations of the supersymmetric integrable system is discovered. The rich multi-soliton solutions obtained here have not yet been obtained by using other methods. However, the traditional known multi-soliton solutions can also not be obtained by the bosonization approach of this Letter. Some open problems on the bosonization of the supersymmetric integrable models are proposed in the both classical and quantum levels.  相似文献

Using a recently introduced index for supersymmetric theories, we present a simple derivation of the Atiyah-Singer index theorem for classical complexes and itsG-index generalization using elementary properties of quantum mechanical supersymmetric systems.  相似文献

We study two-dimensional integrable N = 1 supersymmetric theories (without topological charges) in the presence of a boundary. We find a universal ratio between the reflection amplitudes for particles that are related by supersymmetry and we propose exact reflection matrices for the supersymmetric extensions of the multi-component Yang-Lee models and for the breather multiplets of the supersymmetric sine-Gordon theory. We point out the connection between our reflection matrices and the classical boundary actions for the supersymmetric sine-Gordon theory as constructed by Inami, Odake and Zhang [Phys. Lett. B 359 (1995) 118].  相似文献

We present an action which generates the supersymmetric self-dual equations corresponding to euclidean super Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions. By adding additional constraint fields with new local symmetries, the classical equations of this system are the usual super self-dual equations when a gauge is chosen for the constraint fields. This construction is a supersymmetric generalization of the Labastida-Pernici action which corresponds to a gauge unfixed version of Witten's topological quantum field theory. We discuss some topological prospects for this model, and the role of supersymmetric instantons in Donaldson theory.  相似文献

We generalize the superfield method of Dirac quantization to the odd sector of superspace for N = 2 extended models. We discuss the mechanism of generating constraints in the odd sector of supersymmetric classical mechanics and then Dirac quantization in the odd superspace in superfield version. An example of supersymmetric system, defined by odd superfields, and the application of the method in the odd superspace is given.  相似文献

A new method to obtain the Picard-Fuchs equations of effective, N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories in 4 dimensions is developed. It includes both pure super Yang-Mills and supersymmetric gauge theories with massless matter hypermultiplets. It applies to all classical gauge groups, and directly produces a decoupled set of second-order, partial differential equations satisfied by the period integrals of the Seiberg-Witten differential along the 1-cycles of the algebraic curves describing the vacuum structure of the corresponding N = 2 theory.  相似文献

A supersymmetric equation associated with a continuum limit of the classical superalgebra sl(n/n+1) is constructed. This equation can be considered as a superextension of a continuous limit of t the Toda lattice with fixed end-points or, in other words, as a supersymmetric version of the heavenly equation. A solution of the Cauchy problem for the continuous limit of the Toda lattice and for its superextension is given using some formal reasonings.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain a supersymmetric generalization for the classical Boussinesq equation. We show that the supersymmetric equation system passes the Painlev\'{e test and we also calculate its one- and two-soliton solutions.  相似文献

The purpose of the paper is to construct a supersymmetric Lagrangian within the framework of classical mechanics which would be regarded as a candidate for passage to supersymmetric quantum mechanics. The authors felicitate Prof. D S Kothari on his eightieth birthday and dedicate this paper to him on this occasion.  相似文献

This contribution is mainly based on results of [1, 2]. We review the structure of Green-Schwarz superstrings on AdS backgrounds with the emphasis on peculiarities of those cases which are not maximally supersymmetric. In particular, we discuss complications which one encounters with the proof of classical integrability of non-maximally supersymmetric string sigma-models and describe a method of the construction of a Lax representation of the equations of motion which is capable to provide evidence for the integrability of sigma-models whose target space is not a semi-symmetric super-coset manifold.  相似文献

The nonlinear supersymmetry of one-dimensional systems is investigated in the context of the quantum anomaly problem. Any classical supersymmetric system characterized by the nonlinear in the Hamiltonian superalgebra is symplectomorphic to a supersymmetric canonical system with the holomorphic form of the supercharges. Depending on the behaviour of the superpotential, the canonical supersymmetric systems are separated into the three classes. In one of them the parameter specifying the supersymmetry order is subject to some sort of classical quantization, whereas the supersymmetry of another extreme class has a rather fictive nature since its fermion degrees of freedom are decoupled completely by a canonical transformation. The nonlinear supersymmetry with polynomial in momentum supercharges is analysed, and the most general one-parametric Calogero-like solution with the second order supercharges is found. Quantization of the systems of the canonical form reveals the two anomaly-free classes, one of which gives rise naturally to the quasi-exactly solvable systems. The quantum anomaly problem for the Calogero-like models is “cured” by the specific superpotential-dependent term of order ℏ2. The nonlinear supersymmetry admits the generalization to the case of two-dimensional systems.  相似文献

Conserved and commuting charges are investigated in both bosonic and supersymmetric classical chiral models, with and without Wess–Zumino terms. In the bosonic theories, there are conserved currents based on symmetric invariant tensors of the underlying algebra, and the construction of infinitely many commuting charges, with spins equal to the exponents of the algebra modulo its Coxeter number, can be carried out irrespective of the coefficient of the Wess–Zumino term. In the supersymmetric models, a different pattern of conserved quantities emerges, based on antisymmetric invariant tensors. The current algebra is much more complicated than in the bosonic case, and it is analysed in some detail. Two families of commuting charges can be constructed, each with finitely many members whose spins are exactly the exponents of the algebra (with no repetition modulo the Coxeter number). The conserved quantities in the bosonic and supersymmetric theories are only indirectly related, except for the special case of the WZW model and its supersymmetric extension.  相似文献

We review the properties of supersymmetric quantum mechanics for a class of models proposed by Witten. Using both Hamiltonian and path integral formulations, we give general conditions for which supersymmetry is broken (unbroken) by quantum fluctuations. The spectrum of states is discussed, and a virial theorem is derived for the energy. We also show that the euclidean path integral for supersymmetric quantum mechanics is equivalent to a classical stochastic process when the supersymmetry is unbroken (E0 = 0). By solving a Fokker-Planck equation for the classical probability distribution, we find Pc(y) is identical to |Ψ0(y)|2 in the quantum theory.  相似文献

We discuss the renormalization aspects of topological super-Yang-Mills field theory in N = 1 superspace. Our approach makes use of the regularization-independent BRS algebraic technique adapted to the case of an N = 1 supersymmetric model. We give the expression of the most general local counterterm to the classical action to all orders of the perturbative expansion. The counterterm is shown to be a BRS coboundary, implying that the cohomological properties of the supertopological theory are not affected by quantum effects. We also demonstrate the vanishing of the Callan-Symanzik β-function of the model by employing a recently discovered supersymmetric antighost Ward identity.  相似文献

We construct a fully supersymmetric biHamiltonian theory in four superfields, admitting zero curvature and Lax formulation. This theory is an extension of the classical AKNS, which can be recovered as a reduction. Other supersymmetric theories are obtained as reductions of the susy AKNS, namely a nonlinear Schrödinger, a modified KdV and the Manin-Radul KdV. The susy nonlinear Schrödinger hierarchy is related to the one of Roelofs and Kersten; we determine its biHamiltonian and Lax formulation. Finally, we show that the susy KdV's mentioned before are related through a susy Miura map.  相似文献

Classical finite-energy solutions of the SU(2) Yang-Mills-Higgs system in four-dimensional space-time are embedded in the supersymmetric extension of the theory. Finite supertranslations are constructed and are used to obtain a family of solutions to the supersymmetric field equations, parametrized by fermionic Majorana spinor parameters. The quantum theory around arbitrary classical solutions, parametrized by arbitrary bosonic (global and local) as well as fermionic (global) parameters, is constructed and discussed.  相似文献

We consider the supersymmetric model obtained from the Wess-Zumino model with interaction, with the help of a dimensional reduction. The solution is found of the corresponding classical problem with a precision up to terms of the third order of smallness. A quantum model of such a system is constructed. Its spectrum is found in the first and second order of perturbation theory. The supersymmetric finite-dimensional model under consideration proves to be extremely close to the usual anharmonic oscillator.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 5, pp. 28–32, May, 1990.  相似文献

We obtain classical solutions to the field equations of the massless supersymmetric Wess-Zumino model and to the field equations of the interacting SU(2) gauge supermultiplet. This is done by applying finite supersymmetry transformations to the known solutions of the scalar field equation with ?4 interaction and the Yang-Mills field equations. The relevance of supersymmetry to the solution of classical field equations involving anticommuting fermion fields is discussed.  相似文献
