Ion chromatography is the most popular instrumental analytical method used for the determination of anions and cations in water and wastewater. Isocratic ion chromatography with suppressed conductivity detection is frequently used in laboratories carrying out routine analyses of inorganic anions. The paper presents the results of the research into the influence of selected inorganic anions dominant in environmental samples (Cl(-), NO(3)(-), SO(4)(2-)) on the possibility of simultaneous determination of F(-), Cl(-), NO(2)(-), NO(3)(-), PO(4)(3-) and SO(4)(2-) with the application of this most popular ion chromatography type in standard separation conditions. Four Dionex and four Metrohm anion-exchange columns were tested in standard separation conditions recommended by their manufacturers with both standard solutions and environmental samples with complex matrix.  相似文献

Suppressed conductimetric detection ion chromatography (IC) was investigated for the separation and detection of common inorganic anions, calcium and magnesium by anion-exchange chromatography using a sodium carbonate-EDTA mobile phase. The formation of anionic Ca2+ -EDTA and Mg2+ -EDTA complexes allowed its separation from other inorganic anions opening the way for their simultaneous determination in a single chromatographic run. The effect of the pH, carbonate and EDTA concentrations in the eluent and the previous addition of EDTA to the samples has been studied. The optimised experimental conditions were applied to the determination of Ca2+ and Mg2+ in mineral waters with results in agreement with alternative ICP-MS methodologies.  相似文献

建立了离子色谱-抑制型电导检测同时测定食品级润滑油中Cl-、NO3-、SO42- 3种代表性无机阴离子的方法。样品经50%(v/v)甲醇水溶液超声提取,离心后所得下层水相用0.22 μm混合纤维过滤膜净化,以15 mmol/L KOH溶液为淋洗液,采用抑制型电导检测器进行检测,外标法定量。在上述条件下,Cl-、NO3-、SO42- 3种无机阴离子在0.10~20.00 mg/L范围内具有良好的线性关系(R2>0.999);检出限(S/N=3)为0.01~0.03 mg/kg;在1.00、5.00、10.00 mg/kg添加水平下,实际样品中3种阴离子的加标回收率为90.0%~103.6%,相对标准偏差为2.8%~5.7%。结果表明,该方法无需燃烧、灰化油相基质等繁琐耗时的前处理过程,可以快速、准确定量测定食品级润滑油中Cl-、NO3-、SO42- 3种无机阴离子的含量,适用于润滑油等油品中痕量无机阴离子的同时分离与测定。  相似文献

建立离子色谱法同时测定大气降水中F^-,Cl^-,NO2^-,Br-,NO3^-,SO4^2-和PO43^-7种阴离子的分析方法。选用IonPac■AS19型色谱柱(4 mm×250 mm),以KOH梯度淋洗,用抑制电导检测器进行测定。7种阴离子在各自的质量浓度范围内与色谱峰面积成良好的线性关系,相关系数均不小于0.997,方法检出限为0.002~0.004 mg/L。测定结果的相对标准偏差为0.80%~3.38%(n=6),样品加标回收率为75.0%~98.7%。该方法简便、快速,灵敏度高,适用于大气降水中F^-,Cl^-,NO2^-,Br^-,NO3^-,SO4^2-和PO43^-7种阴离子的同时测定。  相似文献

Non-suppressed and suppressed ion chromatography in combination with atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry are compared with special respect to sensitivity for the analysis of low-molecular-mass anions. Iodate, bromate, bromide, sulfate, thiosulfate and bromide could be separated by non-suppressed ion chromatography using a low-capacity anion-exchange column and ammonium citrate as mobile phase. Absolute detection limits between 0.4 and 0.7 ng could be achieved; employing a column requiring a flow-rate of 1 ml/min for optimum performance, splitting was necessary so that only 120 μl/min entered the interface of the mass spectrometer resulting in detection limits between 0.03 and 0.06 mg/l. The same stationary phase (packed into a narrow-bore column which allowed operation without splitting) was suitable for the separation of oxyhalides in the suppressed mode with detection limits of 0.5 μg/l (50 pg) with sodium carbonate as eluent. The method was applied to the analysis of drinking water for oxyhalides. The sample pretreatment for the removal of matrix anions (sulfate, chloride and hydrogencarbonate) is described.  相似文献

通过对色谱柱类型、流速、柱温、pH值、淋洗液浓度等影响因素的研究,建立了多级梯度淋洗-电导抑制离子色谱同时测定果汁中26种有机酸和阴离子的分析方法。结果表明,当流速为1.00 mL/min、柱温为30℃、pH值为5.5~6.8时,26种组分的测定结果更准确。26种组分在0.02~10.0 mg/L范围内具有良好的线性关系(r均大于0.995),检出限(S/N=3)为0.17~52.0 μg/L;在0.20~2.00 mg/L添加水平下的回收率为85.58%~108.86%,相对标准偏差为0.15%~7.65%(n=6)。该方法简便快速、灵敏度好、准确度高,适于果汁中26种组分的痕量分析。  相似文献

Simultaneous separation of 19 organic acids and 10 inorganic anions has been demonstrated using ion chromatography with a high capacity anion exchange column and the suppressed conductivity detector under an auto-suppression external sulfuric acid mode. Quantitative merits of this method were examined for analysis of nine organic acids of potential significance in cell culture broth. External calibration curves for these analytes were linear with correlation coefficients exceeding 0.999, and the relative standard derivations of observed analyte concentrations were less than 3.0% in both inter- and intra-day evaluations of aqueous standards. Developed methodology was subsequently applied to obtain organic acid profiles of Luria-Bertani liquid media, yeast extract, peptone, and the culture broth of a mutant Escherichia coli strain. Analytes recoveries observed for triplicate analysis of LB media spiked at two concentration levels ranged from 88% to 105% with less than 7% RSD. These data demonstrate quantitative accuracy for LB media and suggest that the report method may also be applicable to complex samples such as fermentation mixture and lignocellulose hydrolysate.  相似文献

建立了离子色谱法同时测定果蔬中Cl-,NO2-,SO42-,NO3-,PO43-5种阴离子含量的方法。通过对前处理条件以及离子色谱条件的优化,确定最优超声提取时间为40 min,温度为30℃,超声提取剂为0.5 mL 1.0 mol/L KOH溶液,最佳流动相为30 mmol/L KOH。结果表明:Cl-,NO2-,SO42-,NO3-,PO43-的线性相关系数在0.9995~0.9999之间,回收率范围为89.5%~105.6%,相对标准偏差小于8.2%。该方法对多种样品适应性好。  相似文献

A new ion chromatographic (IC) system has been established by using micelles of 3-(N,N-dimethylmyristylammonio)propanesulfonate (Zwittergent 3-14) loaded onto a reversed-phase packed column as the separation column with an electronic rotary switching valve packed-bed suppressor for conductometric detection of inorganic anions. An aqueous H3BO3-Na2B4O7 solution has been demonstrated to be the most desirable eluent for this IC system. The relationship between retention time and the concentration of the borate eluent was determined for a series of model anionic analytes and this relationship was found to be opposite to that exhibited in a conventional anion-exchange IC system. The rapid elution and complete separation of monovalent inorganic anions were obtained by initially using a high-concentration borate solution as the eluent for a short-period, and then switching to a lower-concentration borate eluent to complete the separation. Detection limits for nitrite, bromide, nitrate, and chlorate were 0.85, 0.88, 0.95 and 4.8 microM, respectively, when a 7.0 mM Na2B4O7 eluent was used. Moreover, the ability to directly detect these monovalent anions in samples containing high concentrations of sulfate and/or chloride ions provided a major advantage of this approach.  相似文献

Flow injection dialysis (FID) coupling with ion chromatography (IC) is proposed for simultaneous determination of some anions (bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate and sulfate). A standard or sample containing the anions is injected into a donor stream of a mixture (0.022 M Na(2)CO(3) and 0.028 M NaHCO(3)) flowing into a dialysis cell. The bolus of the dialysate containing the anions, in the acceptor stream of water, flows to the IC injection valve where a portion of the bolus is injected into the IC and analysed under normal IC conditions, with a conductivity detector. FID provides on-line separation and dilution of the analytes from matrix especially from some species such as proteins, surfactant, particulates which may cause damage to the IC columns. Prolongation of life-time of the IC columns is an additional advantage to others which will be discussed. On-line dialysis-IC was also investigated.  相似文献

The determination of heavy metals in concentrations less than 10(-6) mol/L by ion chromatography with conductivity detection requires a preconcentration step. Therefore, a special electrochemical equipment and method was developed for the on-line preconcentration of the divalent metals Ni, Co, Zn and Cd and their subsequent ion chromatographic determination. The loop of the injection valve of an ion chromatograph was replaced by an electrochemical flow-through-cell with a gold working electrode, a platinum auxiliary electrode and a silver/silver sulphate reference electrode. The preconcentration step consists of the deposition of the reduced metals on the electrode surface during a continuous pumping of the sample solution through the cell. After switching of the mobile phase through the cell, the analytes are injected after their reoxidation directly into the mobile phase. A new preconcentration step is simultaneously possible during the actual chromatographic run. An effective separation of the analytes from the matrix is also possible with the proposed system. A maximum of metal ion accumulation was obtained after 120 min in the galvanostatic mode on a gold tube electrode. The detection limits for Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) were improved by a factor of 7.7, 10.4, 11.2, 14.0, respectively, and were in the 0.1 micromol/L concentration range with a RSD of 2-6%. The accumulation of metal ions was disturbed in the presence of Cr(III).  相似文献

A novel direct method for the determination of EDTA in alkaline radioactive evaporator residue solution was developed and validated based on ion chromatography with suppressed conductimetric detection and anion exchange columns (A Supp 4, 4 mm × 250 mm and A Supp 5, 4 mm × 150 mm). The yttrium-EDTA complex resulted one single chromatographic peak in the eluent and allowed the correct determination of EDTA in an alkaline, high concentration radioactive waste water. Depending on coexisting substances, suitable eluent is 10.0 mM carbonate buffer/pH 10.6 or 10.75 (t R,Y–EDTA = 7.01 and 6.4 min, respectively). For 10.0 mM carbonate buffer/pH 10.6 and isocratic flow rate of 1.0 cm3/min, a linear calibration curve was obtained from 5 to 40 mg/dm3 (r > 0.999) EDTA. Good resolution was achieved from commonly coexisting anions (chloride, nitrite, nitrate, sulphate, phosphate, bromide and citrate). The developed simple ion chromatographic method was applied for the assay of EDTA in various radioactive alkaline solutions.  相似文献

For the first time, an ion chromatographic method for the simultaneous determination of the disinfection by-products bromate, chlorite, chlorate, and the so-called seven standard anions, fluoride, chloride, nitrite, sulfate, bromide, nitrate and orthophosphate is presented. The separation of the ten anions was carried out using a laboratory-made high-capacity anion-exchanger. The high capacity anion-exchanger allowed the direct injection of large sample volumes without any sample pretreatment, even in the case of hard water samples. For quantification of fluoride, chloride, nitrite, sulfate, bromide, nitrate, orthophosphate and chlorate, a conductivity detection method was applied after chemical suppression. The post-column reaction, based on chlorpromazine, was optimized for the determination of chlorite and bromate. The method detection limit for bromate measured in deionized water is 100 ng/l and for chlorite, it is 700 ng/l. In hard drinking water, the method’s detection limits are 700 ng/l (bromate) and 3.5 μg/l (chlorite). The method’s detection limits for the other eight anions, determined by conductivity detection, are between 100 μg/l (nitrite) and 1.6 mg/l (chlorate).  相似文献

An ion chromatography (IC) method has been proposed for the determination of seven common inorganic anions (F(-), H(2)PO(4)(-), NO(2)(-), Cl(-), Br(-), NO(3)(-), and SO(4)(2-)) and/or five common inorganic cations (Na(+), NH(4)(+), K(+), Mg(2+), and Ca(2+)) using a single pump, a single eluent and a single detector. The present system used cation-exchange and anion-exchange columns connected in series via a single 10-port switching valve. The 10-port valve was switched for the separation of either cations or anions in a single chromatographic run. When 1.0mM trimellitic acid (pH 2.94) was used as the eluent, the seven anions and the five cations could be separated on the anion-exchange column and the cation-exchange column, respectively. The ion-exchange separation of organic anions of varying molecular mass has been demonstrated using ion chromatography with isocratic, gradient and multi-step eluent profiles on commercially available columns with UV detection. A retention model derived previously for inorganic ions and based solely on electrostatic interactions between the analytes and the stationary phase was applied. This model was found to accurately describe the observed elution of all the anions under isocratic, gradient and multi-step eluent conditions. Hydrophobic interactions, although likely to be present to varying degrees, did not limit the applicability of the ion-exchange retention model. Various instrumental configurations were investigated to overcome problems associated with the use of organic modifiers in the eluent which caused compatibility issues with the electrolytically derived, and subsequently suppressed, eluent. The preferred configuration allowed the organic modifier stream to bypass the eluent generator, followed by subsequent mixing before entering the injection valve and column. Accurate elution prediction was achieved even when using 5-step eluent profiles with errors in retention time generally being less than 1% relative standard deviation (RSD) and all being less than 5% RSD. Peak widths for linear gradient separations were also modelled and showed good agreement with experimentally determined values.  相似文献

A new and simple method was developed to determine anions in oxalate of analytical reagent grade.After UV photolysis with optimal 1%H2O2 in 10,000 mg/L oxalate in the fabricated photoreactor,sample was directly injected into IC system.Satisfactory linearity,detections limits,good repeatability and spiked recovery were obtained.The method was successfully applied to determine anions in two commercial oxalate samples.  相似文献
