The Compton scattering of attosecond X-ray pulses on a hydrogen atom has been studied theoretically in terms of the spectral angular scattering probability during the action of a pulse. The dependence of scattering on the carrier frequency, pulse duration, and scattering angle has been analyzed. It has been shown that the probability of the process at certain parameters of the problem is a nonlinear function of the pulse duration. 相似文献

It is demonstrated, that with exclusive final state, data from electron scattering experiments that are recorded with loose trigger requirements can be used to analyze photoproduction reactions. A preliminary results on Timelike Compton Scattering using the electroproduction data from the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab are presented. In particular, using final state (pe ? e +) photoproduction of vector mesons and timelike photon is studied. Angular asymmetries in Timelike Compton Scattering region is compared with model predictions in the framework of Generalized Parton Distribution. 相似文献

The spectral and angular distributions for the Compton effect in a constant electro-magnetic field are obtained. The possibility of the existence of the induced Compton scattering in an external field (i.e. two-photon emission, one of the two photons being induced by the incident wave) is demonstrated. In the case of a constant magnetic field the deviation from the Klein-Nishina formula of the obtained distribution for the Compton effect as well as the behaviour of the distribution for the induced Compton effect are discussed. The optimal region of the parameters for the possible experimental test of these effects is given. 相似文献

Deeply virtual Compton scattering in the near forward kinematic region is the golden access to Generalized Parton Distributions. We studied the \({\mathcal{O}(\alpha_S)}\) corrections to the scattering amplitude for both spacelike and timelike kinematics relevant respectively to the leptoproduction of a real photon and to the photoproduction of a lepton pair. It turns out that these corrections are phenomenologically important and that the gluonic contributions are by no means negligible, even in the moderate energy range of JLab12 and of the COMPASS-II experiment at CERN. 相似文献

We discuss the low-energy behaviour of the virtual Compton scattering amplitude off a spin-zero target. We first compare various
methods of obtaining a low-energy expression based either on the soft-photon approximation or the use of Ward-Takahashi identities.
We point out that structure-dependent terms are defined with respect to a low-energy approximation of the pole terms, which
commonly is separated from the full amplitude. We derive a general expression for the structure-dependent terms in an expansion
in terms of the momenta and of the initial and final virtual photon, respectively, up to and including terms of order . At order two terms appear that are related to the usual electric and magnetic polarizabilities of real Compton scattering. At order
we find nine new structures of which five can only be determined using virtual photons.

We emphasize the complementarity of timelike and spacelike studies of deep exclusive processes, taking as an example the case of timelike Compton scattering (TCS) i.e. the exclusive photoproduction of a lepton pair with large invariant mass, versus deeply virtual Compton scattering i.e. the exclusive leptoproduction of a real photon. Both amplitudes factorize with the same generalized parton distributions (GPDs) as their soft parts and coefficient functions which differ significantly at next to leading order in α s . We also stress that data on TCS at very high energy should be available soon thanks to the study of ultraperipheral collisions at the LHC, opening a window on quark and gluon GPDs at very small skewness. 相似文献

The coupled-channel optical method is used to study positron scattering by atomic lithium at energies ranging from the ionization threshold to 60eV, The present method simultaneously treats the target channels and the positronium (Ps) channels in the coupled-channel method together with the continuum effects via an ab-initio optical potential. Ionization, elastic and inelastic cross sections in target channels, and the total cross section are also reported and compared with other theoretical and experimental data.
