Abstract. The expression of cyclotomic polynomial Фpq (x) is concerned for a long time. A simple and explicit expression of Фpq (x) in Z[x] has been showed. The form of the factors of Фpq (x) over F2 and the upper, lower bounds of their Hamming weight are provided.  相似文献

In this paper we give a term equivalence between the simple k-cyclic Post algebra of order p, L p,k, and the finite field F(p k) with constants F(p). By using Lagrange polynomials, we give an explicit procedure to obtain an interpretation Φ1 of the variety V(L p,k) generated by L p,k into the variety V(F(p k)) generated by F(p k) and an interpretation Φ2 of V(F(p k)) into V(L p,k) such that Φ2Φ1(B) = B for every B ε V(L p,k) and Φ1Φ2(R) = R for every R ε V(F(p k)).  相似文献

In "Elements of small orders in K2(F)" (Algebraic K-Theory, Lecture Notes in Math., 966, 1982, 1-6.), the author investigates elements of the form {a, Φn(a)} in the Milnor group K2F of a field F, where Φn(x) is the n-th cyclotomic polynomial. In this paper, these elements are generalized. Applying the explicit formulas of Rosset and Tate for the transfer homomorphism for K2, the author proves some new results on elements of small orders in K2F.  相似文献

For fixed 1≦p<∞ theL p-semi-norms onR n are identified with positive linear functionals on the closed linear subspace ofC(R n ) spanned by the functions |<ξ, ·>| p , ξ∈R n . For every positive linear functional σ, on that space, the function Φσ:R n R given by Φσ is anL p-semi-norm and the mapping σ→Φσ is 1-1 and onto. The closed linear span of |<ξ, ·>| p , ξ∈R n is the space of all even continuous functions that are homogeneous of degreep, ifp is not an even integer and is the space of all homogeneous polynomials of degreep whenp is an even integer. This representation is used to prove that there is no finite list of norm inequalities that characterizes linear isometric embeddability, in anyL p unlessp=2. Every group that is finitely presented in the varietyA n of solvable groups. and is universally equivalent to a free group Fr(A n) in this variety, is embedded in the Cartesian degree of F2(A n). All subgroups on a set of two generators in that Cartesian degree which are universally equivalent to F2(A n) are determined. Free solvable and nilpotent groups are proved universally equivalent. Let F n be the free group of rank n, and let Aut+(F n ) be its special automorphism group. For an epimorphism π : F n G of the free group F n onto a finite group G we call the standard congruence subgroup of Aut+(F n ) associated to G and π. In the case n = 2 we fully describe the abelianization of Γ+(G, π) for finite abelian groups G. Moreover, we show that if G is a finite non-perfect group, then Γ+(G, π) ≤ Aut+(F 2) has infinite abelianization.  相似文献

Let (Γ,I) be the bound quiver of a cyclic quiver whose vertices correspond to the Abelian group Zd. In this paper, we list all indecomposable representations of (Γ,I) and give the conditions that those representations of them can be extended to representations of deformed preprojective algebra Πλ(Γ,I). It is shown that those representations given by extending indecomposable representations of (Γ,I) are all simple representations of Πλ(Γ,I). We define a new notion of cuspidality for representations of GL n over a finite quotient o k of the ring of integers o of a non-Archimedean local field F using geometric and infinitesimal induction functors, which involve automorphism groups G λ of torsion o-modules. When n is a prime, we show that this notion of cuspidality is equivalent to strong cuspidality, which arises in the construction of supercuspidal representations of GL n (F). We show that strongly cuspidal representations share many features of cuspidal representations of finite general linear groups. In the function field case, we show that the construction of the representations of GL n (o k ) for k ≥ 2 for all n is equivalent to the construction of the representations of all the groups G λ . A functional equation for zeta functions for representations of GL n (o k ) is established for representations which are not contained in an infinitesimally induced representation. All the cuspidal representations for GL4(o2) are constructed. Not all these representations are strongly cuspidal.  相似文献

Let τ be some triangulation of a planar polygonal domain Ω. Given a smooth functionu, we construct piecewise polynomial functionsvC ρ(Ω) of degreen=3 ρ for ρ odd, andn=3ρ+1 for ρ even on a subtriangulation τ3 of τ. The latter is obtained by subdividing eachT∈ρ into three triangles, andv/T is a composite triangular finite element, generalizing the classicalC 1 cubic Hsieh-Clough-Tocher (HCT) triangular scheme. The functionv interpolates the derivatives ofu up to order ρ at the vertices of τ. Polynomial degrees obtained in this way are minimal in the family of interpolation schemes based on finite elements of this type.  相似文献

For a field F,let Gn(F) = {{a,Φn(a)} ∈ K2(F) | a,Φn(a) ∈ F*},where Φn(x) is the n-th cyclotomic polynomial.At first,by using Faltings' theorem on Mordell conjecture it is proved that if F is a number field and if n = 4,8,12 is a positive integer having a square factor then Gn(F) is not a subgroup of K2(F),and then by using the results of Manin,Grauert,Samuel and Li on Mordell conjecture theorem for function fields,a similar result is established for function fields over an algebraically closed field.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to extend the classical maximal convergence theory of Bernstein and Walsh for holomorphic functions in the complex plane to real analytic functions in ℝ N . In particular, we investigate the polynomial approximation behavior for functions F:L→ℂ, L={(Re z,Im z):zK}, of the structure F=g[`(h)]F=g\overline{h}, where g and h are holomorphic in a neighborhood of a compact set K⊂ℂ N . To this end the maximal convergence number ρ(S c ,f) for continuous functions f defined on a compact set S c ⊂ℂ N is connected to a maximal convergence number ρ(S r ,F) for continuous functions F defined on a compact set S r ⊂ℝ N . We prove that ρ(L,F)=min {ρ(K,h)),ρ(K,g)} for functions F=g[`(h)]F=g\overline{h} if K is either a closed Euclidean ball or a closed polydisc. Furthermore, we show that min {ρ(K,h)),ρ(K,g)}≤ρ(L,F) if K is regular in the sense of pluripotential theory and equality does not hold in general. Our results are based on the theory of the pluricomplex Green’s function with pole at infinity and Lundin’s formula for Siciak’s extremal function Φ. A properly chosen transformation of Joukowski type plays an important role.  相似文献

Let G be a simple graph. The point arboricity ρ(G) of G is defined as the minimum number of subsets in a partition of the point set of G so that each subset induces an acyclic subgraph. The list point arboricity ρ l (G) is the minimum k so that there is an acyclic L-coloring for any list assignment L of G which |L(v)| ≥ k. So ρ(G) ≤ ρ l (G) for any graph G. Xue and Wu proved that the list point arboricity of bipartite graphs can be arbitrarily large. As an analogue to the well-known theorem of Ohba for list chromatic number, we obtain ρ l (G + K n ) = ρ(G + K n ) for any fixed graph G when n is sufficiently large. As a consequence, if ρ(G) is close enough to half of the number of vertices in G, then ρ l (G) = ρ(G). Particularly, we determine that , where K 2(n) is the complete n-partite graph with each partite set containing exactly two vertices. Let V be an r-dimensional vector space over an infinite field F of prime characteristic p, and let Ln(V) denote the nth homogeneous component of the free Lie algebra on V. We study the structure of Ln(V) as a module for the general linear group GLr(F) when n=pk and k is not divisible by p and where rn. Our main result is an explicit 1-1 correspondence, multiplicity-preserving, between the indecomposable direct summands of Lk(V) and the indecomposable direct summands of Ln(V) which are not isomorphic to direct summands of Vn. Our approach uses idempotents of the Solomon descent algebras, and in addition a correspondence theorem for permutation modules of symmetric groups.
