The effects of 0.01 and 0.1 mol B2O3 addition to the microstructure and magnetic properties of a Ni–Zn ferrite composition expressed by a molecular formula of Ni0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 were investigated. The toroid-shaped samples prepared by pressing the milled raw materials used in the preparation of the composition were sintered in the range of 1000–1300 °C. The addition of 0.01 mol B2O3 increased the grain growth and densification giving rise to reduced intergranular and intragranular porosity due to liquid-phase sintering. The sintered toroid sample at 1300 °C gave the optimum magnetic properties of Br=170 mT, Hc=0.025 kA/m and a high initial permeability value of μi=4000. The increment of the B2O3 content to 0.1 mol resulted in a pronounced grain growth and also gave rise to large porosity due to the evaporation of B2O3 at higher sintering temperatures. Hence, it resulted in an air-gap effect in the hysteresis curves of these samples.  相似文献

In boron-substituted melt-spun Sm(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)7.5-type alloys a nanocomposite microstructure and high coercivities in both as-spun and short-time annealed ribbons can be obtained. In the present study three different compositions, namely Sm(Co0.73Fe0.1Cu0.09Zr0.04B0.04)7.5, Sm(Co0.70Fe0.1Cu0.12Zr0.04B0.04)7.5 and Sm(Co0.70Fe0.1Ni0.12Zr0.04B0.04)7.5 have been examined in order to investigate the influence of composition on the magnetic properties and the microstructure. Melt-spun ribbons have been obtained and annealing has been followed under argon atmosphere for 30–75 min at 600–870 °C. For the as-spun ribbons the TbCu7-type of structure and fcc-Co as a secondary phase have been identified in the X-ray diffraction patterns. For the annealed ribbons above 700 °C the 1:7 phase transforms into 2:17 and 1:5 phases. The TEM studies have shown a homogeneous nanocrystalline microstructure with average grain size of 30–80 nm. Coercivity values of 15–27 kOe have been obtained from hysteresis loops traced in non-saturating fields. The coercivity decreases with temperature, but it is sufficiently large to maintain values higher than 5 kOe at 380 °C.  相似文献

Differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction and room temperature Mössbauer spectrum measurements of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 (Finemet) alloy have been carried out in order to study its structural and magnetic properties as a function of annealing temperature. The DSC profile of as-quenched Finemet showed two exothermic peaks at 530 and 702 °C, corresponding to two crystallization processes. The Finemet alloy remains amorphous at 450 °C with one broad peak in XRD pattern and one broad sextet in Mössbauer spectrum. When the Finemet alloy was annealed at 550 °C, only well indexed body-center-cubic phase was detected. After being annealed at 650 and 750 °C, the XRD patterns showed the coexistence of α-Fe(Si) and Fe-B intermetallic phases with the increase in XRD peak intensities, indicating the growth of crystallites and the decomposition of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy at elevated temperatures. The Mössbauer spectra of annealed Finemet alloy could be fitted with 4 or 5 sextets and one doublet at higher annealing temperatures, revealing the appearance of different crystalline phases corresponding to the different Fe sites above the crystallization temperature. The appearance of the nanocrystalline phases at different annealing temperatures was further confirmed by the recoilless fraction measurements.  相似文献

Curie temperature, crystal structure and crystallization behavior of amorphous alloys with the stoichiometry Fe81−xNixZr7B12 (x=10–60) have been studied by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and AC-magnetization (TMAG) measurements as functions of temperature. The thermal stability of long-range magnetic order, TC vs. Ni content in as-quenched amorphous alloys exhibits maximum at 352 °C for x=40. The primary crystallization has been detected during annealing at the first crystallization stage of all ribbons investigated.  相似文献

Effect of annealing on the soft magnetic properties of Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Au1 amorphous ribbon has been investigated by means of structure examination, magnetoimpedance ratio (MIR) and incremental permeability ratio (PR) spectra measured in the frequency range of 1–10 MHz at a fixed current of 10 mA X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the as-cast sample was amorphous and it became nanocrystalline under a proper heat treatment. When annealing amorphous alloy at 530 °C for 30, 60, 90 min, soft magnetic properties have been improved drastically. Among the samples investigated, the sample annealed at 530 °C for 90 min showed the softest magnetic behavior. The MIR and PR curves revealed the desirable changes in anisotropy field depending upon annealing.  相似文献

We report a new synthesis route for preparation of single-domain barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) particles with high saturation magnetization. Nitric acid, known as a good oxidizer, is used as a mixing medium during the synthesis. It is shown that formation of BaFe12O19 phase starts at 800 °C, which is considerably lower than the typical ceramic process and develops with increasing temperature. Both magnetization measurements and scanning electron microscope micrographs reveal that the particles are single domain up to 1000 °C at which the highest coercive field of 3.6 kOe was obtained. The best saturation magnetization of ≈60 emu/g at 1.5 T was achieved by sintering for 2 h at 1200 °C. Annealing at temperatures higher than 1000 °C increased the saturation magnetization, on the other hand, decreased the coercive field which was due to the formation of multi-domain particles with larger grain sizes. It is shown that the best sintering to obtain fine particles of BaFe12O19 occurs at temperatures 900-1000 °C. Finally, magnetic interactions between the hard BaFe12O19 phase and impurity phases were investigated using the Stoner-Wohlfarth model.  相似文献

Thermal stability and crystallization of the Fe81B12Si4C2 alloy were investigated in the temperature range 25-700 °C by the XRD and Mössbauer analysis. It was shown that on heating the as-prepared amorphous Fe81B12Si4C2 alloy undergoes thermal stabilization through a series of structural transformations involving the process of stress-relieving (temperature range 200-400 °C), followed by a loss of ferromagnetic properties (Curie temperature at 420 °C) and finally crystallization (temperature range 450-530 °C). The process of crystallization begins by formation of two crystal phases: Fe3B and subsequently Fe2B, as well as a solid solution α-Fe(Si). With increase in annealing temperature, the completely crystallized alloy involved only two phases, Fe2B and solid solution α-Fe(Si).XRD patterns established a difference in phase composition and size of the formed crystallites during crystallization depending on the side (fishy or shiny) of the ribbon. The first nuclei of the phase α-Fe3Si were found on the shiny side by XRD after heat treatment even at 200 °C but the same phase on the fishy side of ribbon was noticed after heat treatment at 450 °C. The largest difference between the contact and free surface was found for the Fe2B phase crystallized by heating at 700 °C, showing the largest size of crystallites of about 130 nm at 700 °C on the free (shiny) surface.  相似文献

Magnetic nanocomposites formed by cobalt ferrite particles dispersed in a silica matrix were prepared by a sol-gel process. The effects of the thermal treatment temperature and the salt concentration on the structural and magnetic properties of the composites were investigated. By controlling these parameters, CoFe2O4/SiO2 nanocomposites with different crystallite size and magnetic properties were obtained. By increasing the annealing temperature and salt concentration, composites with a progressive increase in the coercive field and of the density of magnetization were produced. In particular, a nanocomposite, with a Fe/Si molar concentration of 21%, obtained by drying the gel at 150 °C and further annealing at 800 °C, has a coercivity of 2000 Oe, which is more than twice higher than the coercivity of bulk cobalt ferrite.  相似文献

Magnetic composites were obtained in the system SrO–Fe2O3–B2O3 by oxide glass heat treatment at 600–950 °C. Samples of the composites were investigated using XRD analysis, magnetic measurements, electron microcopy, and thermal analysis. It was shown that chemical composition of the precursor oxide glass and thermal treatment conditions influenced on the SrFe12O19 particles morphology and magnetic properties. The composites and powders were obtained containing hexaferrite as single domain platelet crystals or polycrystalline aggregates with a coercive force up to 6300 Oe in the former case and 4200 Oe in the latter case.  相似文献

Two methods—the solid-phase high-temperature (1300 °C) and the liquid-phase low-temperature (750 °C) routes—were used to synthesize the complex oxide La1.25Sr0.75MnCoO6, which has the structure of rhombohedral perovskite and is characterized by a disordered distribution of Mn and Co in structural sites. It was found by means of X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES) at the K-edge that mixed valence states of Co2+/Co3+ and Mn3+/Mn4+, exist in both phases. Measurements of dc magnetization and real (χ′) and imaginary (χ″) parts of the ac susceptibility showed that the magnetic properties of these oxides are determined by a ferromagnetic transition at TC=217 K and a frequency-dependent transition at Tg<100 K. The high frequency dependence of Tg is indicative of the cluster-glass behavior of La1.25Sr0.75MnCoO6 (7 5 0) at T<TC within the ferromagnetic state.  相似文献

In this paper, the Dy0.75Fe1.25O3 orthoferrite nanoparticles were synthesized successfully by sol-gel method. Dy0.75Fe1.25O3 orthoferrite nanoparticles are obtained by calcining the flakes at 600 and 700 °C. The magnetic properties of the different samples are investigated using Quantum Design MPMS SQUID magnetometer and MS-500 Mössbauer spectrometer. Magnetic phase γ-Fe2O3 coexists in the samples calcined at 600 °C and orthoferrite phase is completely recovered in the samples calcined at 700 °C. Although excessive Fe3+ ions were introduced, none of these iron spins couple magnetically with Dy3+ ions.  相似文献

Amorphous soft magnetic ribbons Fe73.5−xCrxSi13.5B9Nb3Cu1 (x=1–5) have been fabricated by rapid quenching on a single copper wheel. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) patterns showed that the crystallization temperature of α-Fe(Si) phase is ranging from 542 to 569 °C, a little higher than that of pure Finemet (x=0). With the same annealing regime, the crystallization volume fraction as well as the particle size of α-Fe(Si) crystallites decreased with increasing Cr amount substituted for Fe in studied samples. Especially, the interesting fact is that the laminar structure of heat-treated ribbons on the surface contacted to copper wheel in the fabricating process has been firstly discovered and explained to be related to the existence of Cr in studied samples. The hysteresis loop measurement indicated that there is the pinning of displacement of domain walls. The giant magnetocaloric effect (GMCE) has been found in amorphous state of the samples. After annealing, the soft magnetic properties of investigated nanocomposite materials are desirably improved.  相似文献

The effects of the precursor types of Ni and Fe components on the morphology, mean size, and magnetic property of NiFe2O4 powders prepared by spray pyrolysis from the spray solution, with citric acid were studied. The precursor powders with hollow and thin wall structure turned to the nano-sized NiFe2O4 powders after post-treatment at a temperature of 800 °C. The nickel ferrite powders obtained from the spray solution with ferric chloride had nanometer sizes and narrow size distributions irrespective of the types of nickel precursor. The nickel ferrite powders obtained from the spray solution with ferric nitrate and nickel chloride also had nanometer size and narrow size distribution. The saturation magnetizations of the NiFe2O4 powders changed from 37 to 42 emu/g according to the types of the Fe and Ni precursors. The saturation magnetizations of the NiFe2O4 powders increased with increasing the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas of the powders.  相似文献

In this paper, the effect of microstructural and surface morphological developments on the soft magnetic properties and giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect of Fe73.5−xCrxSi13.5B9Nb3Au1 (x=1, 2, 3, 4, 5) alloys was investigated. It was found that the Cr addition causes slight decrease in the mean grain size of α-Fe(Si) grains. AFM results indicated a large variation of surface morphology of density and size of protrusions along the ribbon plane due to structural changes caused by thermal treatments with increasing Cr content. Ultrasoft magnetic properties such as the increase of magnetic permeability and the decrease of coercivity were observed in the samples annealed at 540 °C for 30 min. Accordingly, the GMI effect was also observed in the annealed samples.  相似文献

The sintering behavior, microstructures, and microwave dielectric properties of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with B2O3 addition were investigated. The crystalline phases and microstructures of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 0-10 wt% B2O3 addition were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The sintering temperature of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramic was lowered from 1170 to 930 °C by 10 wt% B2O3 addition. Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 8 wt% B2O3 addition sintered at 990 °C for 2 h exhibited good microwave dielectric properties, i.e., a quality factor (Qf) 11,400 GHz, a relative dielectric constant (εr) 41.5, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) 94.4 ppm/°C.  相似文献

Ni-ferrite (NiFe2O4) nanoparticles have been synthesized via a solid state reaction process. Ni and Fe bi-metallic nanoparticles in the form of Ni33Fe67 alloy nanopowder are first synthesized by simultaneous evaporation of the required amounts of pure Ni and Fe metals followed by rapid condensation of the evaporated metal flux into solid state by means of an inert gas, helium, using the process of inert gas condensation (IGC). In order to form the NiFe2O4 structure, as-synthesized samples (Ni33Fe67) are annealed for 12 h in ambient conditions at different annealing temperatures. Structural analyses show that NiFe2O4 starts to form at around 450 °C and gets progressively well defined with increasing annealing temperatures yielding particle with size ranging between 15 and 50 nm. Besides successfully forming NiFe2O4, NiO/Fe3O4 core/shell nanoparticles have also been synthesized by adjusting the annealing conditions. Three different structures, Ni33Fe67, NiO/Fe3O4, and NiFe2O4, obtained in this study are compared with respect to their structural and magnetic properties.  相似文献

We have studied the magnetic properties of Zn0.96M0.04O (M=Mn, Fe, Co) compounds prepared using several routes. The low temperature ceramic synthesis gave multiphasic samples and show ferromagnetic behavior. Single phases can be obtained by heating at higher temperatures (∼900–1100 °C). The use of very low oxygen pressure also favours the preparation of single-phases. We were also successful in preparing single-phase samples at very low temperature (∼400 °C) by using a sol-gel method. All of the samples without noticeable secondary phases in the X-ray patterns behave as conventional paramagnets. This is true even for the samples with very low grain size. Samples exhibiting secondary phases reveal spontaneous magnetization even at room temperature in some cases. Our results strongly support that ferromagnetism at room temperature is always due to the presence of secondary phases and not to the doping of ZnO.  相似文献

Glass ceramics of the composition xZnO·25Fe2O3·(40−x)SiO2·25CaO·7P2O5·3Na2O were prepared by the melt-quench method using oxy-acetylene flame. Glass-powder compacts were sintered at 1100 °C for 3 h and then rapidly cooled at −10 °C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed 3 prominent crystalline phases: ZnFe2O4, CaSiO3 and Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2. Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) data at 10 KOe and 500 Oe showed that saturation magnetization, coercivity and hence hysteresis area increased with the increase in ZnO content. Nano-sized ZnFe2O4 crystallites were of pseudo-single domain structure and thus coercivity increased with the increase in crystallite size. ZnFe2O4 exhibited ferrimagnetism due to the random distribution of Zn2+ and Fe3+ cations at tetrahedral A sites and octahedral B sites. This inversion/random distribution of cations was probably due to the surface effects of nano-ZnFe2O4 and rapid cooling of the material from 1100 °C (thus preserving the high temperature state of the random distribution of cations). Calorimetric measurements were carried out using magnetic induction furnace at 500 Oe magnetic field and 400 KHz frequency. The data showed that maximum specific power loss and temperature increase after 2 min were 26 W/g and 37 °C, respectively for the sample containing 10% ZnO. The samples were immersed in simulated body fluid (SBF) for 3 weeks. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) and XRD results confirmed the growth of precipitated hydroxyapatite phase after immersion in SBF, suggesting that the ferrimagnetic glass ceramics were bioactive and could bond to the living tissues in physiological environment.  相似文献

We have used X-ray diffraction, volume magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant and resistance measurements to study solid-state synthesis in Ni(0 0 1)/Fe(0 0 1), Ni/Fe(0 0 1) and Ni/Fe thin films with the atomic ratio between Fe and Ni of 1:1 (1Fe:1Ni), and 3:1 (3Fe:1Ni). We have found that the formation of Ni3Fe and NiFe phases in the 1Fe:1Ni films takes place at temperatures ∼620 and ∼720 K, correspondingly. In the case of the 3Fe:1Ni films the solid-state synthesis starts with Ni3Fe and NiFe phase formation at the same temperatures as for the 1Fe:1Ni films. The increasing of annealing temperature above 820 K leads to the nucleation of a paramagnetic γpar phase at the FeNi/Fe interface. The final products of solid-state synthesis in the Ni(0 0 1)/Fe(0 0 1) thin films are crystallites which consist of the epitaxially intergrown NiFe and γpar phases according to the [1 0 0](0 0 1)NiFe||[1 0 0](0 0 1)γpar orientation relationship. The crystalline perfection and epitaxial growth of the (NiFe+γpar) crystallites on the MgO(0 0 1) surface allow to distinguish (0 0 2)γpar and (0 0 2)NiFe X-ray peaks (the cell parameters are: a(γpar)=0.3600±0.0005 nm and a(NiFe)=0.3578±0.0005 nm, correspondingly). At low temperatures the paramagnetic γpar phase undergoes the martensite γpar→αγparα phase transition which can be hindered by thermal and epitaxial strains and epitaxial clamping with a MgO substrate. On the basis of the studies of the thin-film solid-state synthesis we predict the existence of two novel structural phase transformations at the temperatures of about 720 and 820 K for alloys of the invar region of the Fe–Ni system.  相似文献

Structural, AC and DC magnetic properties of polycrystalline Zn1−xCoxFe2O4 (x=0.2, 0.4) samples sintered at various temperatures (1100-1300 °C), and various dwell times (0.2-15 h) have been investigated thoroughly. The bulk density of the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 samples increases as the sintering temperature (Ts) increases from 1100 to 1250 °C, and above 1250 °C the bulk density decreases slightly. The Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 samples show similar behavior of changes to that of Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 samples except that the bulk density is found to be highest at 1200 °C. The DC magnetization as a function of temperature curves show that the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 sample is ferrimagnetic at room temperature while the Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 sample is paramagnetic at room temperature. The Tc of Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 sample is found to be 170 K from DC magnetization measurement. Separate measurement (AC magnetization), initial permeability as a function of temperature shows that the Tc of the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 sample is 353 K. Slight variation of Tc is observed depending on sintering condition. The initial permeability for the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 composition sintered at 1250 °C is found to be maximum.  相似文献
