In order to determine trace amounts of phosphorus in geological and cosmochemical rock samples, simple as well as reliable analytical schemes using an ICP-AES instrument were investigated. A (conventional) ICP-AES procedure could determine phosphorus contents at the level of several 100 μg g−1 with a reasonable reproducibility (<10% for 200 μg g−1; 1σ). An ICP-AES procedure coupled with matrix-separation using cation and anion exchange resins could lower the quantification level down to 1 μg g−1 or even lower under the present experimental conditions. The matrix-separation ICP-AES procedure developed in this study was applied to twenty-one geological reference samples issued by Geological Survey of Japan. Obtained values vary from 1250 μg g−1 for JB-3 (basalt) to 2.07 μg g−1 for JCt-1 (carbonate). Matrix-separation ICP-AES yielded reasonable reproducibility (less than 8.3%; 1σ) of three replicate analyses for all the samples analyzed. In comparison of our data with certificate values as well as literature or reported values, there appear to be an apparent (and large) discrepancy between our values and certificate/reported values regardless of phosphorus contents. Based on the reproducibility of our data and the analytical capability of the matrix-separation ICP-AES procedure developed in this study (in terms of quantification limit, recovery, selectivity of an analyte through pre-concentration process, etc.), it is concluded that certified values for several reference standard rocks should be reevaluated and revised accordingly. It may be further pointed that some phosphorus data reported in literatures should be critically evaluated when they are to be referred in later publications.  相似文献

Two methods of the determination of cobalt and chromium in human urine of non-occupationally exposed populations—highly sensitive catalytic adsorptive stripping voltammetry (CAdSV) and electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET-AAS)—are evaluated and compared. The CAdSV methods are based on adsorptive accumulation of a cobalt-nioxime (1,2-cyclohexanedione dioxime) or a chromium-DTPA (diethylenetriammine-N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentaacetic acid) complexes on a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by a stripping voltammetric measurement of the catalytic reduction current of the adsorbed complex in the presence of sodium nitrite in case of cobalt or in the presence of sodium nitrate in case of chromium determination. In the CAdSV procedure UV-photolysis was used for the sample pre-treatment; the ET-AAS determination did not require any separate preliminary decomposition of the analyte urine samples. The accuracy of the procedures was checked by the analysis of commercially available quality control urine samples. The detection limits (3σ) were 0.13 μg l−1 for Co and 0.18 μg l−1 for Cr in ET-AAS determination and 0.007 μg l−1 for Co and 0.002 μg l−1 for Cr in CAdSV measurements. Precision (R.S.D.) was less than 5% for both methods. The study has shown that the CAdSV is a more reliable and sensitive technique for the determination of very low cobalt and chromium contents in urine, the detection of which is not possible when using the AAS technique.  相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) with a time-of-flight (TOF) analyser was used for the determination of chromium, cadmium and lead in six food-packaging materials (paper and paper board). The samples (0.20-0.25 g) were digested in concentrated nitric acid in a high pressure microwave oven at 180 °C within 15 min. Two different plasma conditions were applied: cool plasma conditions (0.76 kW; 0.85, 0.89 and 15.5 l min−1 nebuliser, auxiliary and plasma gas flow rate, respectively) for the determination of chromium and normal plasma conditions (1.21 kW; 0.66, 0.68 and 13.6 l min−1 nebuliser, auxiliary and plasma gas flow rate, respectively) for the determination of cadmium and lead. External calibration was used in combination with rhodium (40 ng g−1) as an internal standard. The detection limits (DL = 3S.D./sensitivity) under the conditions used corresponded to 0.01 ng g−1 (), 0.06 ng g−1 (), 0.07 ng g−1 (), 0.03 ng g−1 () and 0.02 ng g−1 ( and ). The precision (R.S.D.) for six replicate determinations (10 s integration time) of 1 and 10 ng g−1 of each analyte varied from 0.72% () to 4.43% (). The contents of chromium, cadmium and lead in the examined materials were evaluated using the signals of , and . They were in the range: 0.25-0.50 μg g−1 for Cr, not detected (nd) to 0.12 μg g−1 for Cd and 0.28-0.35 μg g−1 for Pb in paper and 0.50-0.64 μg g−1 for Cr, nd to 0.09 μg g−1 for Cd and 0.67-0.99 μg g−1 for Pb in paper board.  相似文献

The BCR (the Community Bureau of Reference) of the European Union sequential extraction scheme for metal partitioning in estuarine sediments has been accelerated by using a matrix solid phase dispersion (MSPD) approach. The MSPD assisted BCR procedure consists of passing the extractants proposed by conventional BCR protocol (0.11 M acetic acid, 0.1 M hydroxylammonium chloride and 8.8 M hydrogen peroxide plus 1 M ammonium acetate) through the dispersed sample packaged inside a disposable syringe. Different silica-, magnesium- and aluminium-based materials were tested as dispersing agents and sea sand was found to offer the best performances. Variables for assisting the three stages of the BCR protocol were optimized, and accurate results were obtained when assisting the first and the third stages (exchangeable and oxidizable fractions, respectively). However, lack of accuracy was observed when assisting the second step (reducible fraction) and this result agrees with most of the assisted BCR procedures for which extracting the reducible fraction is the most troublesome stage. The organic matter oxidation (third stage) was successfully assisted by passing hydrogen peroxide at 50 °C through the dispersed sample inside de syringe just before passing ammonium acetate. Therefore, the time-consuming and unsafe conventional organic matter oxidation processes, commonly performed even for microwave/ultrasounds assisted BCR procedures, are totally avoided. Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used as a selective detector. The target elements were Cd, Co, Cr, Mn, Ni, Sr and Zn (first stage), Cd, Co and Ni (second stage), and Co, Cr, Mn, Ni, Sr and Zn (third stage). Repeatability of the method (n = 7) was good, and RSDs values of 9, 10, 10, 8, 8, 3 and 8% was obtained for Cd, Co, Cr, Mn, Ni, Sr and Zn, respectively (first stage); 10, 9 and 9% for Cd, Co and Ni, respectively (second stage); and 6, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 9% Co, Cr, Mn, Ni, Sr and Zn, respectively (third stage). The procedure was also validated by analysing two certified reference materials (CRM 601 and CRM 701). Good accuracy was obtained for the target elements extracted at the first stage: Cd (4.0 ± 0.1 and 7.3 ± 0.09 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively), Cr (0.36 ± 0.008 and 2.21 ± 0.08 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively), Ni (8.0 ± 0.3 and 15.4 ± 0.3 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively) and Zn (262 ± 3 and 203 ± 3 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively). Also, good accuracy was observed for elements extracted at the third step: Cd (1.8 ± 0.09 and 0.29 ± 0.03 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively), Cr (145 ± 4 μg g−1 in CRM 701), Ni (8.2 ± 0.7 and 15.1 ± 0.5 μg g−1 in CRM 601 and CRM 701, respectively) and Zn (45 ± 0.7 μg g−1 in CRM 701).  相似文献

Twelve commercially available edible marine algae from France, Japan and Spain and the certified reference material (CRM) NIES No. 9 Sargassum fulvellum were analyzed for total arsenic and arsenic species. Total arsenic concentrations were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) after microwave digestion and ranged from 23 to 126 μg g−1. Arsenic species in alga samples were extracted with deionized water by microwave-assisted extraction and showed extraction efficiencies from 49 to 98%, in terms of total arsenic. The presence of eleven arsenic species was studied by high performance liquid chromatography–ultraviolet photo-oxidation–hydride generation atomic–fluorescence spectrometry (HPLC–(UV)–HG–AFS) developed methods, using both anion and cation exchange chromatography. Glycerol and phosphate sugars were found in all alga samples analyzed, at concentrations between 0.11 and 22 μg g−1, whereas sulfonate and sulfate sugars were only detected in three of them (0.6-7.2 μg g−1). Regarding arsenic toxic species, low concentration levels of dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) (<0.9 μg g−1) and generally high arsenate (As(V)) concentrations (up to 77 μg g−1) were found in most of the algae studied. The results obtained are of interest to highlight the need to perform speciation analysis and to introduce appropriate legislation to limit toxic arsenic species content in these food products.  相似文献

A trace element preconcentration procedure is described utilizing a minicolumn of yeast (Yamadazyma spartinae) immobilized TiO2 nanoparticles for determination of Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn from water samples by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The elements were quantitatively retained on the column between pH 6 and 8. Elution was made with 5% (v/v) HNO3 solution. Recoveries ranged from 98 ± 2 (Cr) to 100 ± 4 (Zn) for preconcentration of 50 mL multielement solution (50 μg L−1). The column made up of 100 mg sorbent (yeast immobilized TiO2 NP) offers a capacity to preconcentrate up to 500 mL of sample solution to achieve an enrichment factor of 250 with 2 mL of 5% (v/v) HNO3 eluent. The detection limits obtained from preconcentration of 50 mL blank solutions (5%, v/v, HNO3, n = 11) were 0.17, 0.45, 0.25, 0.15, 0.33 and 0.10 μg L−1 for Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn, respectively. Relative standard deviation (RSD) for five replicate analyses was better than 5%. The retention of the elements was not affected from up to 500 μg L−1 Na+ and K+ (as chlorides), 100 μg L−1 Ca2+ (as nitrate) and 50 μg L−1 Mg2+ (as sulfate). The method was validated by analysis of freshwater standard reference material (SRM 1643e) and applied to the determination of the elements from tap water and lake water samples.  相似文献

Two new, simple and accurate methods for the determination of sulfide (S2−) at low levels (μg L−1) in aqueous samples were developed. The generation of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) took place in a coil where sulfide reacted with hydrochloric acid. The resulting H2S was then introduced as a vapor into an inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES) and sulfur emission intensity was measured at 180.669 nm. In comparison to when aqueous sulfide was introduced, the introduction of sulfur as H2S enhanced the sulfur signal emission. By setting a gas separator at the end of the reaction coil, reduced sulfur species in the form of H2S were removed from the water matrix, thus, interferences could be avoided. Alternatively, the gas separator was replaced by a nebulizer/spray chamber combination to introduce the sample matrix and reagents into the plasma. This methodology allowed the determination of both sulfide and sulfate in aqueous samples. For both methods the linear response was found to range from 5 μg L−1 to 25 mg L−1 of sulfide. Detection limits of 5 μg L−1 and 6 μg L−1 were obtained with and without the gas separator, respectively. These new methods were evaluated by comparison to the standard potentiometric method and were successfully applied to the analysis of reduced sulfur species in environmental waters.  相似文献

This work demonstrated the feasibility of mercury speciation analysis by anion exchange chromatographic separation with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry detection. For the first time, by complexing with the mobile phase containing 3-mercapto-1-propanesulfonate into negatively charged complexes, fast separation of inorganic mercury (Hg2+), monomethylmercury (MeHg), ethylmercury (EtHg) and phenylmercury (PhHg) was achieved within 5 min on a 12.5-mm strong anion exchange column. The detection limits for Hg2+, MeHg, EtHg and PhHg were 0.008, 0.024, 0.029 and 0.034 μg L−1, respectively. The relative standard deviations of peak height and peak area (5.0 μg L−1 for each Hg species) were all below 3%. The determined contents of Hg2+, MeHg and total Hg in a certified reference material of fish tissue by the proposed method were in good accordance with the certified values with satisfactory recoveries. The relative errors for determining MeHg and total mercury were −2.4% and −1.2%, respectively, with an acceptable range for spike recoveries of 94–101%. Mercury speciation in 11 fish samples were then analyzed after the pretreated procedure. The mercury contents in all fish samples analyzed were found compliant with the criteria of the National Standards of China.  相似文献

Different techniques were selected for comprehensive characterization of seven samples of fly ashes collected from the electrostatic precipitator of the San Nicolás thermal power plant (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Particle size was measured using laser based particle size analyzer. X-ray diffraction powder (XRD) analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the mineral phase present in the matrix consisting basically of aluminosilicates and large amounts of amorphous material. The predominant crystalline phases were mullite and quartz. Major and minors elements (Al, Ca, Cl, Fe, K, Mg, Na, S, Si and Ti) were detected by energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX). Trace elements (As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Se, V and Zn) content was quantified by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP OES). Different acid mixtures and digestion procedures were compared for subsequent ICP OES measurements of the dissolved samples. The digestion procedures used were: i) a mixture of FH + HNO3 + HClO4 (open system digestion); ii) a mixture of FH + HNO3 (MW-assisted digestion); iii) a mixture of HF and aqua regia (MW-assisted digestion). Instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) was employed for the determination of As, Ba, Co, Cr, Ce, Cs, Eu, Fe, Gd, Hf, La, Lu, Rb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Ta, Tb, Th, U and Yb. The validation of the procedure was performed by the analysis of two certified materials namely, i) NIST 1633b, coal fly ash and ii) GBW07105, rock. Mean elements content spanned from 41870 μg g− 1 for Fe to 1.14 μg g− 1 for Lu. The study showed that Fe (41870 μg g− 1) ? V (1137 μg g− 1) > Ni (269 μg g− 1) > Mn (169 μg g− 1) are the main components. An enrichment, with respect to crustal average, in many elements was observed especially for As, V and Sb that deserve particular interest from the environmental and human health point of view.  相似文献

A novel solid phase extraction technique for the speciation of trace dissolved Fe(II) and Fe(III) in environmental water samples was developed by coupling micro-column packed with N-benzoyl-N-phenylhydroxylamine (BPHA) loaded on microcrystalline naphthalene to electrothermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ETV-ICP-OES). Various influencing factors on the separation and preconcentration of Fe(II) and Fe(III), such as the acidity of the aqueous solution, sample flow rate and volume, have been investigated systematically, and the optimized operation conditions were established. At pH 3.0 Fe(III) could be selectively retained by micro-column (20 mm × 1.4 mm, i.d.) packed with BPHA immobilized on microcrystalline naphthalene, and Fe(II) passed through the micro-column. Both Fe(II) and Fe(III) could be adsorbed by the micro-column at pH 6.5. Thus, the total Fe could be determined without the need for preoxidation of Fe(II) to Fe(III). The retained Fe(III) or the Fe(II) and Fe(III) was subsequently eluted by 0.1 ml of 1 mol l−1 HCl. The adsorption capacity of the solid phase adsorption material was found to be 45.0 mg g−1 for Fe(III) at pH 3.0 and 65.3 mg g−1 for Fe(II) at pH 6.5, respectively. The detection limit (3σ) of 0.053 μg l−1 was obtained with a practical enrichment factor of 156 at a sample volume of 17 ml. The relative standard deviations of 4.2% and 4.6% (CFe(III) = CFe(II) = 10 μg l−1, n = 7) for Fe(III) and total iron were found, respectively. The method was successfully applied to the determination of trace Fe(II) and Fe(III) in environmental water samples (East Lake water, local tap water and mineral water). In order to validate the method, the developed method was applied to the determination of total iron in certified materials of NIES NO.10-b rice flour and GBW07605 tea leaves, and the results obtained were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

A gas chromatography–mass spectrometric (GC–MS) method has been established for the determination of hydrazine in drinking water and surface water. This method is based on the derivatization of hydrazine with ortho-phthalaldehyde (OPA) in water. The following optimum reaction conditions were established: reagent dosage, 40 mg mL−1 of OPA; pH 2; reaction for 20 min at 70 °C. The organic derivative was extracted with methylene chloride and then measured by GC–MS. Under the established condition, the detection and the quantification limits were 0.002 μg L−1 and 0.007 μg L−1 by using 5.0-mL of surface water or drinking water, respectively. The calibration curve showed good linearity with r2 = 0.9991 (for working range of 0.05–100 μg L−1) and the accuracy was in a range of 95–106%, and the precision of the assay was less than 13% in water. Hydrazine was detected in a concentration range of 0.05–0.14 μg L−1 in 2 samples of 10 raw drinking water samples and in a concentration range of 0.09–0.55 μg L−1 in 4 samples of 10 treated drinking water samples.  相似文献

A highly sensitive and selective solid-phase spectrophotometric method for the determination of sub-μg l−1 level nickel(II) is described. Nickel(II) was sorbed on a styrene-divinylbenzene-type resin Amberlite XAD-4 as a Ni(II)-o-carboxylphenyldiazoaminoazobenzene (o-CDAA) complex. At pH 9.0, resin phase absorbances at 588 and 800 nm were measured directly with an apparent molar absorptivity of 2.95×107 g mol−1 cm−1. The linear range of the determination was 1.2-41 μg g−1 resin. The detection limit and the quantification limit were found to be 0.24 and 0.76 μg g−1 resin, respectively. The relative standard deviation of 10 replicate determinations of 1.0 μg nickel(II) in 100 ml sample was of 1.5%. The tolerance limit of coexistent ions was also investigated. Most of them are in tolerable amount. For practical analyses, 1 ml acetylacetone used can eliminate the interferences caused by Cu and Fe. The procedure was validated by analysis a certified water reference material (GBW 08618 Beijing, China) and a tomato leaf certified reference material (GBW 08402 Beijing, China) with the results in agreement with the certified values. The method was applied to the determination of nickel(II) in water and vegetable samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A method based on the coupling microHPLC-microneb-ICPMS has been developed for Hg(II), MeHg+, EtHg+ and PhHg+ species. Gradient elution using methanol and l-cysteine at pH 3.0 allowed the chromatographic separation of all species in less than 13 min (total analysis time 15 min). The direct coupling of microLC to ICPMS through a Micromist nebulizer permits the analysis of environmental water without sample pretreatment and derivatization steps. Nebulizer type, organic modifier and column length were the main parameters tested. The methanol content and pH of the mobile phase greatly affected the retention time and sensitivity of the method. Key factors to obtain high signal to noise ratio, at concentrations below 1 μg L−1, were found to be the nebulization step and traces of Hg present in the complexing agent. A detailed optimization of carrier and make up gas flow rates have enabled the nebulization of the methanol gradient elution with good mass transport efficiency, low organic solvent loading into the plasma and excellent precision. The performance of the microHPLC-microneb-ICPMS method developed was evaluated on a surface water sample filtered (0.22 μm) and spiked with 0.5 μg L−1 (as Hg) of each species. Precision (R.S.D., n = 6) for all species of Hg varied from 0.5 to 2.1%. Detection limit, defined as three times the standard deviation (n = 6), ranged from 8 ng L−1 for EtHg+ to 32 ng L−1 for PhHg+ and was noticeably lower than those reported in previous LC-based methods. Accuracy was suitable with recoveries ranging from 85 to 100% when tested at two levels (0.5 and 10 μg L−1) in groundwater samples. Recovery was matrix affected when water samples of high salinity (depurated wastewater and seawater) were used.  相似文献

In this study, dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) combined with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) was developed for simultaneous preconcentration and trace determination of chromium, copper, nickel and zinc in water samples. Sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (Na-DDTC), carbon tetrachloride and methanol were used as chelating agent, extraction solvent and disperser solvent, respectively. The effective parameters of DLLME such as volume of extraction and disperser solvents, pH, concentration of salt and concentration of the chelating agent were studied by a (2f−1) fractional factorial design to identify the most important parameters and their interactions. The results showed that concentration of salt and volume of disperser solvent had no effect on the extraction efficiency. In the next step, central composite design was used to obtain optimum levels of effective parameters. The optimal conditions were: volume of extraction solvent, 113 μL; concentration of the chelating agent, 540 mg L−1; and pH, 6.70. The linear dynamic range for Cu, Ni and Zn was 1-1000 μg L−1 and for Cr was 1-750 μg L−1. The correlation coefficient (R2) was higher than 0.993. The limits of detection were 0.23-0.55 μg L−1. The relative standard deviations (RSDs, C = 200 μg L−1, n = 7) were in the range of 2.1-3.8%. The method was successfully applied to determination of Cr, Cu, Ni and Zn in the real water samples and satisfactory relative recoveries (90-99%) were achieved.  相似文献

A flow injection on-line sorption system was developed for the separation and preconcentration of traces of Ag, Cd, Co, Ni, Pb, U and Y from natural water samples with subsequent detection by ICP TOF MS. Simultaneous preconcentration of the analytes was achieved by complexation with the chelating reagent 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoylpyrazol-5-one immobilized on the inner walls of a (200 cm × 0.5 mm) PTFE knotted reactor. The analytes were eluted and transported to an axial ICP TOF MS system with 1% (v/v) HNO3 containing 0.3 μg l−1 of Rh as an internal standard using ultrasonic nebulization. The detection limits (3σ) varied from 0.3 ng l−1 for Y to 15.2 ng l−1 for Ni and the precision (R.S.D.) was better than 4%. Using a loading time of 90 s and a sample flow rate of 4.5 ml min−1, enhancement factors of 3-14 were obtained for the different analytes in comparison with their direct determination by ICP TOF MS with ultrasonic nebulization without preconcentration. The accuracy of the method was demonstrated by analysis of water based certified reference materials.  相似文献

A simple and rapid reversed-phase HPLC-UV method was developed for the determination of triterpenic acids in the crude extract of Prunellae Spica. Five triterpenic acids were extracted and isolated from P. Spica as marker compounds for use in the quality control of herbal medicines. Various solvent extraction techniques were evaluated, and the greatest efficiency was observed with sonication in 100% ethanol. Elemental compositions of the five marker compounds were determined by high-resolution mass spectroscopy. The dynamic range of the HPLC-UV method depended on the specific analyte, and acceptable quantitation was obtained between 10 and 250 μg mL−1 for oleanolic acid, between 10 and 300 μg mL−1 for ursolic acid, between 3 and 75 μg mL−1 for 2α,3α,24-trihydroxyolean-12en-28oic acid, between 5 and 100 μg mL−1 for euscaphic acid, and between 5 and 100 μg mL−1 for 2α,3α-dihydroxyurs-12en-28oic acid. The method was deemed satisfactory by inter- and intra-day validation and exhibited both high accuracy and precision (relative standard deviation <9.4%). Overall limits of quantitation and detection were approximately 0.5-2.5 μg mL−1 at a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 3 and were about 3.0-10.0 μg mL−1 at a S/N of 10. In addition, principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the analytical data of 15 different P. Spica samples in order to classify samples collected from different regions.  相似文献

The luminescence based bacterial sensor strains Pseudomonas fluorescens OS8 (pTPT11) for mercury detection and Pseudomonas fluorescens OS8 (pTPT31) for arsenite detection were used in testing their application in detecting heavy metals in soil extracts. Three different soil types (humus, mineral and clay) were spiked with 1, 100 or 500 μg g−1 Hg2+ or As3+. Samples were taken 1, 14 and 30 days and extracted with water, ammonium acetate, hydrogen peroxide and nitric acid to represent water soluble, bioavailable, organic matter bound and residual fractions, respectively. The lowest mercury-concentration measured using biosensor (0.003 μg kg−1) was considerably lower than by chemical method (0.05 μg kg−1). The sensor strain with pTPT31 appeared to have a useful detection range similar to that of chemical methods. Concentration results with chemical and biosensor analysis were very similar in the case of mercury-spiked samples. Although some of the arsenite samples showed higher variation between methods, it is concluded that the bacteria can be used as an alternative traditional methods for different types of samples.  相似文献

A new functionalized mesoporous silica (MCM-41) using salicylaldehyde was utilized for the separation, preconcentration and determination of uranium in natural water by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES).Experimental conditions for effective adsorption of trace levels of U(VI) were optimized. The preconcentration factor was 100 (1.0 mL of elution for a 100 mL sample volume). The analytical curve was linear in the range 2-1000 μg L−1 and the detection limit was 0.5 ng mL−1. The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) under optimum conditions was 2.5% (n = 10). Common coexisting ions did not interfere with the separation and determination of uranium at pH 5. The sorbent exhibited excellent stability and its sorption capacity under optimum conditions has been found to be 10 mg of uranium per gram of sorbent. The method was applied for the recovery and determination of uranium in different water samples.  相似文献

The growing interest of public opinion in environmental problems conducted us to investigate the levels of a toxic traffic-related element such antimony in 19 size-fractionated street dust samples. Samples were collected in the megacity of Buenos Aires during two months at 19 sites with different urban characteristics and traffic profile. Samples were sieved in four fractions (F1 < 37 µm, F2: 37-55 µm, F3: 55-75 µm and F4: 55-100 µm) before elemental analysis. A mixture of aqua regia and hydrofluoric acid was used to digest all samples. Antimony concentrations were quantified by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP OES) or flow injection hydride generation-atomic absorption spectrometry (FI-HG-AAS).Twenty four out of 73 sub-samples analyzed showed Sb levels < 0.05 µg g− 1; in the rest of the samples mean Sb concentrations varied from 1.4 to 20.4 µg g− 1. Maximum and minimum concentrations (in µg g− 1) found in individual samples in the four fractions were: Fraction 1, < 0.05-20.4; Fraction 2, < 0.05-18.4; Fraction 3, < 0.05-6.3; Fraction 4, < 0.05-7.7.Antimony was found to be enriched in the smallest size fraction of road dust, with mean enrichment factors varying between 27 (F3) and 272 (F1). Concentrations of Sb were correlated with those of other traffic-related elements such as Cu and Pb and higher levels were found in areas with medium and high traffic densities.  相似文献

A simultaneous determination of sulfamonomethoxine, sulfadimethoxine, and their hydroxy/N4-acetyl metabolites in chicken plasma, muscle, liver, and eggs using gradient high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a photo-diode array detector is developed. All the compounds are extracted by a handheld ultrasonic homogenizer with ethanol followed by centrifugation. The separation is performed by a reversed-phase C4 column with a gradient elution (ethanol:1% (v/v) acetic acid, v/v; 10:90 → 20:80). Average recoveries from samples spiked at 0.1-1.0 μg g−1 or μg ml−1 for each drug were >90% with relative standard deviations within 4%. The limits of quantitation were <30 ng g−1 or ng ml−1.  相似文献
