The possibility of using solid-state and liquid PVC-membrane electrodes based on ionic liquids to design a potentiometric multisensor system is assessed. Ionic liquids with 1,3-dihexadecylimidazolium cation and chloride, bromide, iodide, and nitrate anions are used. The sensitivity parameters of the sensors are determined. A multisensor array is applied to detect chloride and iodide anions in the multicomponent mixture. The designed system is used to discriminate between mineral waters of different compositions by applying the method of principal component analysis (PCA).  相似文献

Nowadays there exists a large variety of ion sensors based on polymeric or solid-state membranes that can be used in a sensor array format in many analytical applications. This review aims at providing a critical overview of the distinct approaches that were developed to build and use potentiometric sensor arrays based on different transduction principles, such as classical ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) with polymer or solid-state membranes, solid-contact electrodes (SCE) including coated wire electrodes (CWE), ion-sensitive field-effect transistors (ISFETs) and light addressable potentiometric sensors (LAPS). Analysing latest publications on potentiometric sensor arrays development and applications certain problems are outlined and trends are discussed.  相似文献

Summary Sodium tetraphenylborate has been used for the potentiometric precipitation titration of some water-soluble organic cations, mostly those containing a quaternary ammonium group. Emf's were monitored with a fluoroborate ion-selective indicator electrode and a double-junction reference electrode. Other liquid-membrane electrodes, such as the perchlorate and nitrate, also respond to the cations investigated. The solid-state cyanide electrode responds to those cations yielding potentiometric breaks of > 70 mV with the fluoroborate electrode. The following compounds were examined: procaine, diphenhydramine, chlorpheniramine, methylene blue, dimethyl yellow, benzidine, pyridine, acetylmethylcholine, thiamine.This paper was presented at the International Symposium on Electroanalysis in Cardiff, England, on April 13, 1981  相似文献

In this study, we investigated the feasibility of using a novel volatile organic compound (VOC)-based metabolic profiling approach with a newly devised chemometrics methodology which combined rapid multivariate analysis on total ion currents with in-depth peak deconvolution on selected regions to characterise the spoilage progress of pork. We also tested if such approach possessed enough discriminatory information to differentiate natural spoiled pork from pork contaminated with Salmonella typhimurium, a food poisoning pathogen commonly recovered from pork products. Spoilage was monitored in this study over a 72-h period at 0-, 24-, 48- and 72-h time points after the artificial contamination with the salmonellae. At each time point, the VOCs from six individual pork chops were collected for spoiled vs. contaminated meat. Analysis of the VOCs was performed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The data generated by GC/MS analysis were initially subjected to multivariate analysis using principal component analysis (PCA) and multi-block PCA. The loading plots were then used to identify regions in the chromatograms which appeared important to the separation shown in the PCA/multi-block PCA scores plot. Peak deconvolution was then performed only on those regions using a modified hierarchical multivariate curve resolution procedure for curve resolution to generate a concentration profiles matrix C and the corresponding pure spectra matrix S. Following this, the pure mass spectra (S) of the peaks in those region were exported to NIST 02 mass library for chemical identification. A clear separation between the two types of samples was observed from the PCA models, and after deconvolution and univariate analysis using N-way ANOVA, a total of 16 significant metabolites were identified which showed difference between natural spoiled pork and those contaminated with S. typhimurium.  相似文献

The availability and application of solid-state reference electrodes for potentiometric electrochemical sensors are briefly reviewed. For a long time, considerable efforts have been made to combine solid-state indicator electrodes with equivalent reference electrodes to take advantage of the absence of liquid system components to full capacity. The freshness of virgin olive oils (VOO) from typical cultivars of Garda regions was evaluated by attenuated total reflectance (ATR) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, in combination with multivariate analysis. The olive oil freshness decreased during storage mainly because of oxidation processes. In this research, 91 virgin olive oils were packaged in glass bottles and stored either in the light or in the dark at room temperature for different periods. The oils were analysed, before and after storage, using both chemical methods and spectroscopic technique.Classification strategies investigated were partial least square discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and soft independent modelling of class analogy (SIMCA).The results show that ATR-MIR spectroscopy is an interesting technique compared with traditional chemical index in classifying olive oil samples stored in different conditions. In fact, the FTIR PCA results allowed a better discrimination among fresh and oxidized oils, than samples separation obtained by PCA applied to chemical data. Moreover, the results obtained by the different classification techniques (PLS-DA, LDA, SIMCA) evidenced the ability of FTIR spectra to evaluate the olive oil freshness. FTIR spectroscopy results are in agreement with classical methods. The spectroscopic technique could be applied for the prediction of VOOs freshness giving information related to chemical modifications. The great advantages of this technique, compared to chemical analysis, are related to rapidity, non-destructive characteristics and low cost per sample. In conclusion, ATR-MIR represents a reliable, cheap and fast classification tool able to assess the freshness of virgin olive oils.  相似文献

Experimental batches of smoked-cured pork in stewed beans sauce were inoculated with spores of psychrotrophic Bacillus cereus, more heat and radiation resistant than spores of non-proteolytic C. botulinum. After vacuum packaging, the meals were treated with combinations of pasteurizing heat treatments and gamma irradiation of 5 kGy. Prior and after treatments, and periodically during storage at 10°C, total aerobic and total anerobic viable cell counts, and selectively, the viable cell counts of B. cereus and sulphite-reducing clostridia have been determined. The effects of the treatment order as well as addition of nisin to enhance the preservative efficiency of the physical treatments were also studied. Heat-sensitization of bacterial spores surviving irradiation occurred. The quality-friendly sous-vide cooking in combination with this medium dose gamma irradiation and/or nisin addition increased considerably the microbiological safety and the keeping quality of the meals studied. However, approx. 40% loss of thiamin content occurred as an effect of combination treatments, and adverse sensorial effects may also limit the feasible radiation doses or the usable concentrations of nisin.  相似文献

A novel potentiometric solid-state reference electrode containing single-walled carbon nanotubes as the transducer layer between a polyacrylate membrane and the conductor is reported here. Single-walled carbon nanotubes act as an efficient transducer of the constant potentiometric signal originating from the reference membrane containing the Ag/AgCl/Cl ions system, and they are needed to obtain a stable reference potentiometric signal. Furthermore, we have taken advantage of the light insensitivity of single-walled carbon nanotubes to improve the analytical performance characteristics of previously reported solid-state reference electrodes. Four different polyacrylate polymers have been selected in order to identify the most efficient reservoir for the Ag/AgCl system. Finally, two different arrangements have been assessed: (1) a solid-state reference electrode using photo-polymerised n-butyl acrylate polymer and (2) a thermo-polymerised methyl methacrylate:n-butyl acrylate (1:10) polymer. The sensitivity to various salts, pH and light, as well as time of response and stability, has been tested: the best results were obtained using single-walled carbon nanotubes and photo-polymerised n-butyl acrylate polymer. Water transport plays an important role in the potentiometric performance of acrylate membranes, so a new screening test method has been developed to qualitatively assess the difference in water percolation between the polyacrylic membranes studied. The results presented here open the way for the true miniaturisation of potentiometric systems using the excellent properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes.  相似文献

Dithiodibenzoic (DTB) acid and mercaptobenzoic (MB) acid were studied to characterize their abilities as modifier agents for lead(II) sensors. For both sensors, the best results were obtained with modified carbon paste electrodes with 24.1% of ligand. The pH influence on the potentiometric response was studied. The selectivity coefficients for both modified electrodes were tabulated. A potentiometric sensor based on DTB acid exhibited a more sensitive and selective response to lead ions than an MB electrode. The limits of detection for the DTB and MB electrodes were very similar, 5.01 x 10(-8) M and 3.98 x 10(-8) M, respectively, for lead(II) activity. The DTB sensor was applied to lead(II) ion determination in real samples and as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titrations. Natural and commercial humic acids were titrated using the DTB electrode to estimate the stability constant between these organic compounds and the lead(II) ions with successful results.  相似文献

为提高激光诱导击穿光谱技术(Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy,LIBS)对鲜肉品种的识别率,采用支持向量机结合主成分分析算法辅助LIBS技术对鲜肉品种进行识别.对鲜肉切片用载玻片压平,采用LIBS技术对鲜肉组织(猪肉、牛肉和鸡肉)表面进行光谱数据的采集,每种鲜肉采集150幅光谱并进行随机排列,取前75幅光谱作为训练集建立模型,后75幅作为测试集测试建模结果.研究选取K、Ca、Na、Mg、Al、H、O等元素的49条归一化谱线数据进行主成分分析,并用所得数据建立支持向量机分类模型.结果表明,通过主成分分析降维,输入变量从49个优化减少到18个,模型建模速度从88.91 s降至55.52 s,提高了支持向量机的建模效率;并使预测集的平均识别率提高到89.11%.本研究为激光诱导击穿光谱技术在鲜肉品种快速分类领域提供了方法和数据参考.  相似文献

A number of solid-state ion-selective electrodes for the potentiometric determination of phosphate have been made and their properties investigated. The most successful of these electrodes, which had a membrane comprising silver sulphide, lead sulphide and lead hydrogen phosphate, had a theoretical Nernstian response to orthophosphate ion at concentrations down to 5 mug/ml total phosphate at pH 8.3. The electrode had a slow response and its standard potential changed with time. Anions such as sulphate, bicarbonate and nitrate did not interfere; chloride had a transient effect, but even at its worst the interference was less serious than with other phosphate electrodes. The electrode was used as an indicator in the potentiometric precipitation titration of phosphate and lanthanum.  相似文献

Principal component analysis (PCA) is applied to 32 disubstituted unsaturated compounds (Y–CH2–X): cyanides, oximes and propenes; bearing 12 -substituents: F, Cl, Br, I, OMe, OEt, SMe, SEt, NMe2, NEt2, Me, and Et. The experimental 13C chemical shifts for the -carbon and functional carbon atoms are correlated with theoretically derived molecular properties, i.e. partial charges, electronegativity, hardness, dipole moments and the nuclear repulsion energies. In the first PCA, the clustering of these three classes of organic compounds occurred mostly because of the chemical shifts and partial charges, and also of the dipole moments, hardness and electronegativity parameters as confirmed by loading graph. A strong grouping is observed in the second PCA, showing the chemical shift dependence on the type of heteroatom substituents. Therefore, sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen and neutral groups exhibit four types of C-13 SCS influences, indicating that the heteroatom (Y) properties play a significant role on the effects on chemical shifts. The -halogenated compounds represent a very heterogeneous group due to possible orbital interactions between the functional group and the substituent. The third PCA shows the grouping of F, Cl, Br and I derivatives, confirming the second PCA results that same halogen presents the same or very similar effects on the chemical shifts.  相似文献

The development of a solid-contact potentiometric sensor based on conducting rubbers using a carbon nanotubes ink is described here. Commercial rubbers are turned into conductive ones by a simple and versatile method, i.e. painting an aqueous dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotubes on the polymer surface. On this substrate, both the working ion-selective electrode and the reference electrode are built in order to form an integrated potentiometric cell. As a proof-of-principle, selective potassium electrodes are fully characterized giving comparable performances to conventional electrodes (sensitivity, selectivity, stability, linear range, limit of detection and reproducibility). As an application of the rubber-based electrodes, a bracelet was constructed to measure potassium levels in artificial sweat. Since rubbers are ubiquitous in our quotidian life, this approach offers great promise for the generation of chemical information through daily objects.  相似文献

A magnetic solid phase extraction method based on magnetic covalent organic frameworks (TpBD@Fe3O4; 2,4,6-triformylphloroglucinol (Tp) and benzidine (BD)) combined with high performance liquid chromatography has been developed to detect the sulfonamides including sulfadiazine, sulfamerazine, sulfamethazine, and sulfamethoxazole in milk and meat. TpBD@Fe3O4 were synthesized at room temperature under mild reaction conditions with a simple and rapid operation. The TpBD@Fe3O4 exhibited higher extraction efficiency because of the π–π and electrostatic interactions between the benzene ring structure of the TpBD and the sulfonamide molecules. The extraction conditions including the dosage of adsorbents, the type and dosage of eluent, the elution time, and the pH of the sample solution were fully optimized. The detection results showed good linearity over a wide range (50–5 × 104 ng/mL) and low detection limits (3.39–5.77 ng/mL) for the sulfonamide targets. The practicability of this magnetic solidphase extraction-high-performance liquid chromatography method was further evaluated by analyzing milk and meat samples, with recoveries of the targets of 71.6–110.8% in milk and 71.9–109.7% in pork. The successful detection of sulfonamides residues has demonstrated the TpBD@Fe3O4 excellent practical potential for analyzing pharmaceutical residues in animal-derived foods.  相似文献

Solid inert electrodes are frequently used in potentiometry. However, potentiometric responses may significantly depend on the inert electrode material, a fact which may manifest itself particularly distinctly for the dynamical chemical systems—oscillating processes. We found that for the homogeneous oscillators involving hydrogen peroxide and either thiocyanates or thiosulfates, the periodic variations of the platinum and palladium indicator electrode potential are both not in phase with the variations of the potential of the gold and glassy carbon electrodes, the latter two exhibiting in turn concordant, in-phase responses. Potentiometric responses were compared with the impedance characteristics of the electrodes during the oscillations. In spite of high mechanistic complexity of the studied homogeneous oscillatory systems, we explain different responses of inert electrodes in terms of the concept of the mixed electrode potential, i.e., determined by more than one redox couple of different kinetic characteristics (exchange current densities). In our model explanation, two coupled Ox1/Red1 and Ox2/Red2 redox systems are considered. It is suggested that for Au or glassy carbon electrodes, the mixed potential is largely determined by the Ox1/Red1 couple. For Pt or Pd electrodes, due to the catalytic effect of their surfaces on the Ox2/Red2 couple, its exchange current largely controls the measured mixed potential. Our concept is supported by numerical calculations involving the classical Brusselator as the model generator of chemical oscillations. The proper interpretation of potentiometric kinetic data is crucial for the diagnosis of the correct reaction mechanism.  相似文献

Traditional dry fermented meat products are highly appreciated by consumers. A probiotic starter culture increases their attractiveness through sensory qualities and a potential health-promoting effect. The ability to scale the laboratory solution to industrial conditions is an additional scientific and practical value of a new way of using probiotics in the meat industry. The aim was to evaluate the influence of the probiotic starter culture Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus LOCK900 on the development of volatile organic compounds and the sensory quality of dry fermented pork sausages during fermentation and refrigeration storage. The microbiological and sensory characteristic (QDA method) and volatile compound (gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry: GC–MS) were evaluated. The number of LOCK900 cells during 12 weeks of storage remained above 6 log CFU g−1, making this product a functional food. The addition of probiotic LOCK900 increased the levels of acidic volatile compounds, aldehydes, and esters, which, combined with the additives and spices used, had a positive effect on the sensory properties of ripening sausages. The sausages with LOCK900 were characterised by positive sensory features, and their overall quality remained high during storage and did not differ from that of the control sausages.  相似文献
