Two protocols for the nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl fluorides with aryl boronic esters have been developed. The first employs metal fluoride cocatalysts, such as ZrF(4) and TiF(4), which enable Suzuki-Miyaura reactions of aryl fluorides bearing electron-withdrawing (ketones, esters, and CF(3)), aryl and alkenyl groups as well as those comprising fused aromatic rings, such as fluoronaphthalenes and fluoroquinolines. The second protocol employs aryl fluorides bearing ortho-directing groups, which facilitate the difficult C-F bond activation process via cyclometalation. N-heterocycles, such as pyridines, quinolines, pyrazoles, and oxazolines, can successfully promote cross-coupling with an array of organoboronic esters. A study into the substituent effects with respect to both coupling components has provided fundamental insights into the mechanism of the nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl fluorides.  相似文献

The first cross-coupling of acylated phenol derivatives has been achieved. In the presence of an air-stable Ni(II) complex, readily accessible aryl pivalates participate in the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling with arylboronic acids. The process is tolerant of considerable variation in each of the cross-coupling components. In addition, a one-pot acylation/cross-coupling sequence has been developed. The potential to utilize an aryl pivalate as a directing group has also been demonstrated, along with the ability to sequentially cross-couple an aryl bromide followed by an aryl pivalate, using palladium and nickel catalysis, respectively.  相似文献

The introduction of electron rich and sterically hindered ligands has made otherwise inert aryl chlorides and hetero aryl chlorides viable coupling partners in palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura, Sonogashira, Stille and other types of cross-coupling reactions. This review gives highlights of cross-coupling of aryl chlorides employing in situ generated palladium catalytic systems.  相似文献

The development of a synthetically useful, regioselective cross-coupling of 2,4-diaminopyridines with aryl and heteroaryl halides is reported. Selectivity for coupling through either amine is controlled by a simple change in the reaction conditions. Cross-coupling through the 2-amino group predominates in the presence of a palladium catalyst, whilst the 4-amino coupled product predominates in the absence of palladium.  相似文献

An efficient method for palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl chlorides and triflates with sodium cyanate is reported. The protocol allows for the synthesis of unsymmetrical N,N'-di- and N,N,N'-trisubstituted ureas in one pot and is tolerant of a wide range of functional groups. Insight into the mechanism of aryl isocyanate formation was gleaned through studies of the transmetalation and reductive elimination steps of the reaction, including the first demonstration of reductive elimination from an arylpalladium isocyanate complex to produce an aryl isocyanate.  相似文献

The palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of dialkylphosphite with aromatic electrophiles (Hirao coupling) was re-investigated. Some limitations in terms of palladium loadings and substrate reactivity are alleviated with the use of Pd(OAc)2 complexed to 1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf) as a ligand. Various aryl and heteroaryl halides are employed to deliver both known and novel substituted phosphonates. The first examples of aryl chloride couplings are also reported.  相似文献

Sonogashira coupling of aryl halides catalyzed by palladium on charcoal   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
With the proper choice of solvent, palladium on charcoal acts as an efficient catalyst in the Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction of aryl bromides. The catalytically active species in the process is probably palladium, which leaches into the solution but returns onto the surface of the charcoal at the end of the reaction.  相似文献

Aryl tosylates are attractive substrates for Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions, but they are much less reactive than the more commonly used aryl triflates. We report the oxidative addition of aryl tosylates to Pd(PPF-t-Bu)[P(o-tolyl)3] and to Pd(CyPF-t-Bu)[P(o-tolyl)3] at room temperature to produce the corresponding palladium(II) aryl tosylate complexes. In the presence of added bromide ions, arylpalladium(II) bromide complexes were formed. The rate of oxidative addition was accelerated by addition of either coordinating or weakly coordinating anions, and the reactions were faster in more polar solvents. The mild conditions for oxidative addition allowed for the development of Pd-catalyzed Kumada couplings and amination reactions of unactivated aryl tosylates at room temperature. The catalysts for these mild couplings of aryl tosylates were generated from palladium precursors and the sterically hindered Josiphos-type ligands that induced oxidative addition of aryl tosylates to Pd(0) at room temperature.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of bidentate N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)/phosphane ligand L were prepared and structurally characterized. Unlike palladium, which forms [PdCl(2)(L)], the stable nickel product isolated is the ionic [Ni(L)(2)]Cl(2). These Ni(II) complexes are highly robust in air. Among different N-substituents on the ligand framework, the nickel complex of ligand L bearing N-1-naphthylmethyl groups (2 a) is a highly effective catalyst for Suzuki cross-coupling between phenylboronic acid and a range of aryl halides, including unreactive aryl chlorides. The activities of 2 a are largely superior to those of other reported nickel NHC complexes and their palladium counterparts. Unlike the previously reported [NiCl(2)(dppe)] (dppe=1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane), 2 a can effectively catalyze the cross-coupling reaction without the need for a catalytic amount of PPh(3), and this suggests that the PPh(2) functionality of hybrid NHC ligand L can partially take on the role of free PPh(3). However, for unreactive aryl chlorides at low catalyst loading, the presence of PPh(3) accelerates the reaction.  相似文献

The cross-coupling reaction of aryl chlorides with aliphatic and aromatic thiols catalyzed by palladium complexes of the strongly binding bisphosphine CyPF-tBu ligand (1) is reported. Most of the reactions catalyzed by complexes of ligand 1 occur with turnover numbers that exceed those of previous catalysts by two orders of magnitude. The reactions occur with excellent yields, broad scope and high tolerance of functional groups. Coupling of aryl halides with thiols in the presence of low loadings of catalysts derived from other Josiphos type ligands, as well as ligands of other structural types, are also described.  相似文献

An efficient route for the synthesis of unsymmetrical biaryls was developed via palladium catalyzed reaction of arenediazonium salts and aryl sulfinates under inert atmosphere. This synthesis involves cascade processes. Tetrabutylammonium iodide was used as an iodide source for in situ formation of aryl iodide, followed by desulfinylative cross-coupling reaction between aryl sulfinates and aryl iodides. A wide range of biaryls were selectively prepared in one pot from simple substrates in good to excellent yields.  相似文献

The synthesis of aryl fluorides has been studied intensively because of the importance of aryl fluorides in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and materials. The stability, reactivity, and biological properties of aryl fluorides can be distinct from those of the corresponding arenes. Methods for the synthesis of aryl fluorides, however, are limited. We report the conversion of a diverse set of aryl iodides to the corresponding aryl fluorides. This reaction occurs with a cationic copper reagent and silver fluoride. Preliminary results suggest this reaction is enabled by a facile reductive elimination from a cationic arylcopper(III) fluoride.  相似文献

Alkenyl- and aryl[2-(hydroxymethyl)phenyl]dimethylsilanes, highly stable tetraorganosilicon reagents, are found to react with aryl and alkenyl iodides in the presence of a palladium catalyst and K2CO3 as a base, significantly milder conditions compared with those ever reported for the silicon-based cross-coupling reactions. The reaction tolerates a wide range of functional groups, including silyl protectors, and allows a gram-scale synthesis to recover and reuse the silicon residue.  相似文献

Substituted carbazoles, indoles, and dibenzofurans are readily prepared in moderate to excellent yields by the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of alkynes and appropriately substituted aryl iodides. This process proceeds by carbopalladation of the alkyne, heteroatom-directed vinylic to aryl palladium migration, and ring closure via intramolecular arylation or a Mizoroki-Heck reaction. Results from the deuterium labeling experiments are consistent with the proposed mechanism.  相似文献

A new strategy for the regiospecific construction of unsymmetrical biaryls is presented, in which easily available salts of carboxylic acids are decarboxylated in situ to give arylmetal species that serve as the nucleophilic component in a catalytic cross-coupling reaction with aryl halides. The catalyst system consists of a copper phenanthroline complex that mediates the extrusion of CO2 from aromatic carboxylates to generate arylcopper species, and a palladium complex that catalyzes the cross-coupling of these intermediates with aryl halides. This bimetallic system allows the direct coupling of various aryl, heteroaryl, or vinyl carboxylic acids with aryl or heteroaryl iodides, bromides, or chlorides at 160 degrees C in the presence of a mild base such as potassium carbonate. The present scope and potential economic impact of the reaction are demonstrated by the synthesis of 42 biaryls, some of which are of substantial industrial relevance. Remaining challenges and future perspectives of the new transformation are discussed.  相似文献
