Using the resolution quiver for a connected Nakayama algebra, a fast algorithm is given to decide whether its global dimension is finite or not and whether it is Gorenstein or not. The latter strengthens a result of Ringel.  相似文献

When the base connected cochain DG algebra is cohomologically bounded, it is proved that the difference between the amplitude of a compact DG module and that of the DG algebra is just the projective dimension of that module. This yields the unboundedness of the cohomology of non-trivial regular DG algebras. When A is a regular DG algebra such that H(A) is a Koszul graded algebra, H(A) is proved to have the finite global dimension. And we give an example to illustrate that the global dimension of H(A) may be infinite, if the condition that H(A) is Koszul is weakened to the condition that A is a Koszul DG algebra. For a general regular DG algebra A, we give some equivalent conditions for the Gorensteiness. For a finite connected DG algebra A, we prove that Dc(A) and Dc(A op) admit Auslander-Reiten triangles if and only if A and A op are Gorenstein DG algebras. When A is a non-trivial regular DG algebra such that H(A) is locally finite, Dc(A) does not admit Auslander-Reiten triangles. We turn to study the existence of Auslander-Reiten triangles in Dlfb(A) and Dlfb (A op) instead, when A is a regular DG algebra. Let \({T}\) be a homomorphism from a Banach algebra \({B}\) to a Banach algebra \({A}\). The Cartesian product space \({A\times B}\) with \({T}\)-Lau multiplication and \({\ell^1}\)-norm becomes a new Banach algebra \({A\times _T B}\). We investigate the notions such as approximate amenability, pseudo amenability, \({\phi}\)-pseudo amenability, \({\phi}\)-biflatness and \({\phi}\)-biprojectivity for Banach algebra \({A\times_T B}\). We also present an example to show that approximate amenability of \({A}\) and \({B}\) is not stable for \({A\times _TB}\). Finally we characterize the double centralizer algebra of \({A\times _T B}\) and present an application of this characterization.  相似文献

We study the growth and the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension(GK-dimension) of the generalized Weyl algebra(GWA) A = D(σ, a), where D is a polynomial algebra or a Laurent polynomial algebra. Several necessary and sufficient conditions for GKdim(A) = GKdim(D) + 1 are given. This paper develops a duality theory for connected cochain DG algebras,with particular emphasis on the non-commutative aspects.One of the main items is a dualizing DG module which induces a duality between the derived categories of DG left-modules and DG right-modules with finitely generated cohomology.As an application,it is proved that if the canonical module k=A/A≥1 has a semi-free resolution where the cohomological degree of the generators is bounded above,then the same is true for each DG module with finitely generated cohomology.  相似文献

Let be a commutative ring, a commutative -algebra and a complex of -modules. We begin by constructing the square , which is also a complex of -modules. The squaring operation is a quadratic functor, and its construction requires differential graded (DG) algebras. If there exists an isomorphism , then the pair is called a rigid complex over relative to (there are some finiteness conditions). There is an obvious notion of rigid morphism between rigid complexes.

We establish several properties of rigid complexes, including their uniqueness, existence (under some extra hypothesis), and formation of pullbacks (resp. ) along a finite (resp. essentially smooth) ring homomorphism .

In the subsequent paper, Rigid Dualizing Complexes over Commutative Rings, we consider rigid dualizing complexes over commutative rings, building on the results of the present paper. The project culminates in our paper Rigid Dualizing Complexes and Perverse Sheaves on Schemes, where we give a comprehensive version of Grothendieck duality for schemes.

The idea of rigid complexes originates in noncommutative algebraic geometry, and is due to Van den Bergh (1997).

We introduce the class of double tilted algebras, containing the class of tilted algebras and prove various characterizations. In particular, we show that the class of double tilted algebras is the class of all artin algebras whose AR-quiver admits a faithful double section with a natural property. Moreover, we prove that the class of double tilted algebras coincides with the class of all artin algebras of global dimension three, for which every indecomposable finitely generated module has projective or injective dimension at most one. In this paper we investigate whether a polynomial algebra can be realized as a cohomology ring of a topological space. Our main results are that we can split the realizable polynomial algebra into a tensor product of certain simple factors and that these factors are given explicitly whenp>7. It is shown that the little finitistic dimension of a finite dimensional algebra, i.e., the supremum of the finite projective dimensions attained on finitely generated modules, is not necessarily attained on a cyclic module. In general, arbitrarily high numbers of generators are required. Moreover, it is demonstrated that this phenomenon may depend on the base fieldk. In fact, for each integerd>-3, there exists a quiver Γ with a set ρ of paths such that the little finitistic dimension of the finite dimensional algebrakΓ/<ρ> is attained on a cyclic module precisely when |k|≥d. By contrast, the global dimension of finite dimensional monomial relation algebras does not depend on the base field.
