In this paper, we consider a viscoelastic wave equation of variable coefficients in the presence of past history with nonlinear damping and delay in the internal feedback and dynamic boundary conditions. Under suitable assumptions, we establish an explicit and general decay rate result without imposing restrictive assumption on the behavior of the relaxation function at infinity by Riemannian geometry method and Lyapunov functional method.  相似文献

A variable coefficient viscoelastic wave equation with acoustic boundary conditions and nonlinear source term is considered. Under suitable conditions on the initial data and the relaxation function g, we show the polynomial decay of the energy solution and the blow up of solutions by energy methods. The paper is devoted to the study of a system of semilinear wave equations associated with the helical flows of Maxwell fluid. First, based on Faedo–Galerkin method and standard arguments of density corresponding to the regularity of initial conditions, we establish two local existence theorems of weak solutions. Next, we prove that any weak solutions with negative initial energy will blow up in finite time. Finally, we give a sufficient condition to guarantee the global existence and exponential decay of weak solutions via the construction of a suitable Lyapunov functional. In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions of null-controllability and approximate null-controllability are obtained for the wave equation on a half-axis. Controls solving these problems are found explicitly. Moreover, bang-bang controls solving the approximate null-controllability problem are constructed with the aid of solutions of a frequency extinguishing problem in the restricted band (−a,a) for this equation and the Markov power moment problem.  相似文献

A transmission problem for Kirchhoff‐type wave equations with memory source term on one part of the boundary feedback is considered. By using the Faedo‐Galerkin approximation technique, the method of Lyapunov functional and the energy perturbation technique, we establish well‐posedness of global solution and derive a general decay estimate of the energy.  相似文献
