Reduction of the tethered carborane 1,2-μ-(CH(2)SiMe(2)CH(2))-1,2-closo-C(2)B(10)H(10) followed by metallation with {CpCo} or {(p-cymene)Ru} fragments affords both C,C'-dimethyl 4,1,2-MC(2)B(10) and 4,1,6-MC(2)B(10) species. DFT calculations indicate that the barriers to isomerisation of both 4-Cp-4,1,2-closo-CoC(2)B(10)H(12) and 4-(η-C(6)H(6))-4,1,2-closo-RuC(2)B(10)H(12) to their respective 4,1,6-isomers are too high for this to be the origin of the unexpected formation of 4,1,6-MC(2)B(10) products (in marked contrast to the related isomerisation of 1,2-closo-C(2)B(11)H(13) to 1,6-closo-C(2)B(11)H(13)), and, indeed, the 4,1,2-species are recovered unchanged from refluxing toluene. Equally, the DFT-calculated profile for the isomerisation of [7,8-nido-C(2)B(10)H(12)](2-) to [7,9-nido-C(2)B(10)H(12)](2-) suggests that the unexpected formation of 4,1,6-metallacarboranes is unlikely to result from isomerisation of a reduced (nido) carborane following desilylation. Instead, the source of the 4,1,6-MC(2)B(10) compounds is traced to desilylation of 1,2-μ-(CH(2)SiMe(2)CH(2))-1,2-closo-C(2)B(10)H(10) by Li or Na prior to reduction. The supraicosahedral metallacarboranes 1,8-Me(2)-4-Cp-4,1,8-closo-CoC(2)B(10)H(10), 1,12-Me(2)-4-Cp-4,1,12-closo-CoC(2)B(10)H(10) and 1,12-Me(2)-4-(p-cymene)-4,1,12-closo-RuC(2)B(10)H(10) are also reported with all new species characterised both spectroscopically and crystallographically.  相似文献

Using density functional theory calculations, here we show that a series of B(x)Au(x)2- (x = 5-12) dianions possesses structure and bonding similar to the famous deltahedral closo-borane cages, B(x)H(x)2-. Effective atomic charges on Au in B(x)Au(x)2- are very similar to those on H in B(x)H(x)2-, indicating that Au in the closo-auroboranes is indeed analogous to H in the closo-boranes. The present theoretical predictions of B(x)Au(x)2- suggest that the closo-auroborane species are viable new chemical building blocks that may be synthesized in bulk. The Au atoms in the closo-auroboranes represent highly atomically dispersed Au and may potentially exhibit novel catalytic and chemical properties.  相似文献

The reduction potentials (E°(Red) versus SHE) of hypercloso boron hydrides B(n)H(n) (n = 6-13) and B(12)X(12) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) in water have been computed using the Conductor-like Polarizable Continuum Model (CPCM) and the Solvation Model Density (SMD) method for solvation modeling. The B3LYP/aug-cc-pvtz and M06-2X/aug-cc-pvtz as well as G4 level of theory were applied to determine the free energies of the first and second electron attachment (ΔG(E.A.)) to boron clusters. The solvation free energies (ΔG(solv)) greatly depend on the choice of the cavity set (UAKS, Pauling, or SMD) while the dependence on the choice of exchange/correlation functional is modest. The SMD cavity set gives the largest ΔΔG(solv) for B(n)H(n)(0/-) and B(n)H(n)(-/2-) while the UAKS cavity set gives the smallest ΔΔG(solv) value. The E°(Red) of B(n)H(n)(-/2-) (n = 6-12) with the G4/M06-2X(Pauling) (energy/solvation(cavity)) combination agrees within 0.2 V of experimental values. The experimental oxidative stability (E(1/2)) of B(n)X(n)(2-) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) is usually located between the values predicted using the B3LYP and M06-2X functionals. The disproportionation free energies (ΔG(dpro)) of 2B(n)H(n)(-) → B(n)H(n) + B(n)H(n)(2-) reveal that the stabilities of B(n)H(n)(-) (n = 6-13) to disproportionation decrease in the order B(8)H(8)(-) > B(9)H(9)(-) > B(11)H(11)(-) > B(10)H(10)(-). The spin densities in B(12)X(12)(-) (X = F, Cl, OH, and CH(3)) tend to delocalize on the boron atoms rather than on the exterior functional groups. The partitioning of ΔG(solv)(B(n)H(n)(2-)) over spheres allows a rationalization of the nonlinear correlation between ΔG(E.A.) and E°(Red) for B(6)H(6)(-/2-), B(11)H(11)(-/2-), and B(13)H(13)(-/2-).  相似文献

The structures of 8-G-1-(p-YC(6)H(4)Se)C(10)H(6) (1 (G = Cl) and 2 (G = Br): Y = H (a), OMe (b), Me (c), Cl (d), Br (e), COOEt (f), and NO(2) (g)) were investigated by X-ray crystallographic analysis, NMR spectroscopy, and ab initio MO calculations. The structures of all members in 1 and 2 are concluded to be type B, which is in striking contrast to the type A structure for 4d-g (4 (g(n)), where G = H). The Se-C(i) bond of the p-YC(6)H(4)Se group in 8-G-1-(p-YC(6)H(4)Se)C(10)H(6) is almost perpendicular to the naphthyl plane in type A, and it is located on the plane in type B. The chlorine and bromine substitution at the 8-position in 1 and 2 dramatically changes the type A structure of 4 (g(n)) to type B. The nonbonded G- - -Se-C 3c-4e type interaction must contribute to stabilize the type B structure. The type B structure in 1 and 2 should also be more stabilized than the same structure in 4 by the 3c-4e type interaction: The structure of 4b is type B in the crystals and type B would be more stable for 4c and might be for 4a in solutions. Ab initio MO calculations are performed on 8-G-1-(p-YC(6)H(4)Se)C(10)H(6), 8-G-C(10)H(6)SeH-1, and models HG- - -SeH(2), where G = Cl, Br, and F, to clarify the reason for the dramatic change in the structures. The type B structure is optimized to be more stable than the type A for all species examined, which supports the observations. The energy differences between type B and type A are larger for the models than for the naphthalenes. While the superiority of the type B for the former is Br > Cl > F, that of the latter is Br approximately Cl >/= F. These results show that the main factor of the structural change from type A to type B is the nonbonded G- - -Se-C 3c-4e interaction. The electronic effect of halogens through the naphthalene pi-framework would also contribute to some extent, although the direct comparison of the evaluated values between the naphthalene systems and the models is not so easy. Factors to stabilize the two structures of 1, 2, 4, and 8-(MeSe)-1-(p-YC(6)H(4)Se)C(10)H(6) are reexamined from a viewpoint of the nonbonded G- - -Se-C 3c-4e interaction (G dependence), together with the electronic effect of Y (Y dependence).  相似文献

A series of samples with the composition Ca(1)(-)(x)Na(2)(x)Al(2)B(2)O(7) (0 < x < or = 1) was investigated and a hexagonal structure with unusually large range of homogeneity (at least from x = 0.01 to 0.95) was revealed. The hexagonal phase consists of [Al(2)B(2)O(7)](infinity)(2)(-) lamellae stacked along the c axis, as in CaAl(2)B(2)O(7) and Na(2)Al(2)B(2)O(7). Nevertheless, the configuration and stacking sequence of the [Al(2)B(2)O(7)](infinity)(2)(-) lamellae are different in these three structures. In the hexagonal structure of Ca(1)(-)(x)()Na(2)(x)()Al(2)B(2)O(7), Ca and half Na cations (Na1) statistically occupy the same crystallographic site which is located between the [Al(2)B(2)O(7)](infinity)(2)(-) lamellae, the other half Na cations (Na2) distribute in the planes bisecting the [Al(2)B(2)O(7)](infinity)(2)(-) lamellae. Depending on the composition, the site occupation factor of Na2 site can vary in the same range as x, leading to a tunable density of Na(+) vacancies in the structure. The AlO(4) tetrahedra and BO(3) triangles in the structure tilt in appropriate ways to improve the bond valence sum of Na2 cations which are not sufficiently bonded to the anions.  相似文献

A metal-boron mixed cluster LiB(6) (-) was produced and characterized by photoelectron spectroscopy and ab initio calculations. A number of electronic transitions were observed and used to compare with theoretical calculations. An extensive search for the global minimum of LiB(6) (-) was carried out via an ab initio genetic algorithm technique. The pyramidal C(2v) ((1)A(1)) molecule was found to be the most stable at all levels of theory. The nearest low-lying isomer was found to be a triplet C(2) ((3)B) structure, 9.2 kcal/mol higher in energy. Comparison of calculated detachment transitions from LiB(6) (-) and the experimental photoelectron spectra confirmed the C(2v) pyramidal global minimum structure. Natural population calculation revealed that LiB(6) (-) is a charge-transfer complex, Li(+)B(6) (2-), in which Li(+) and B(6) (2-) interact in a primarily ionic manner. Analyses of the molecular orbitals and chemical bonding of B(6) (2-) showed that the planar cluster is twofold (pi- and sigma-) antiaromatic, which can be viewed as the fusion of two aromatic B(3) (-) units.  相似文献

The compounds [Co(2)(CO)(8)] and nido-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(13) react in CH(2)Cl(2) to give a complex mixture of products consisting primarily of two isomers of the dicobalt species [Co(2)(CO)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (1), together with small amounts of a mononuclear cobalt compound [Co(CO)(2)(eta(5)-10-CO-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(10))] (5) and a charge-compensated carborane nido-9-CO-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11) (6). In solution, isomers 1a and 1b slowly equilibrate. However, column chromatography allows a clean separation of 1a from the mixture, and a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study revealed that each metal atom is ligated by a terminal CO molecule and in a pentahapto manner by a nido-C(2)B(9)H(11) cage framework. The two Co(CO)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11)) units are linked by a Co-Co bond [2.503(2) ?], which is supported by two three-center two-electron B-H right harpoon-up Co bonds. The latter employ B-H vertices in each cage which lie in alpha-sites with respect to the carbons in the CCBBB rings bonded to cobalt. Addition of PMe(2)Ph to a CH(2)Cl(2) solution of a mixture of the isomers 1, enriched in 1b, gave isomers of formulation [Co(2)(CO)(PMe(2)Ph)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (2). Crystals of one isomer were suitable for X-ray diffraction. The molecule 2a has a structure similar to that of 1a but differs in that whereas one B-H right harpoon-up Co bridge involves a boron atom in an alpha-site of a CCBBB ring coordinated to cobalt, the other uses a boron atom in the beta-site. Reaction between 1b and an excess of PMe(2)Ph in CH(2)Cl(2) gave the complex [CoCl(PMe(2)Ph)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))] (3), the structure of which was established by X-ray diffraction. Experiments indicated that 3 was formed through a paramagnetic Co(II) species of formulation [Co(PMe(2)Ph)(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))]. Addition of 2 molar equiv of CNBu(t) to solutions of either 1a or 1b gave a mixture of two isomers of the complex [Co(2)(CNBu(t))(2)(eta(5)-7,8-C(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (4). NMR data for the new compounds are reported and discussed.  相似文献

The structures and the electronic properties of two aluminum-doped boron clusters, AlB(7)(-) and AlB(8)(-), were investigated using photoelectron spectroscopy and ab initio calculations. The photoelectron spectra of AlB(7)(-) and AlB(8)(-) are both broad, suggesting significant geometry changes between the ground states of the anions and the neutrals. Unbiased global minimum searches were carried out and the calculated vertical electron detachment energies were used to compare with the experimental data. We found that the Al atom does not simply replace a B atom in the parent B(8)(-) and B(9)(-) planar clusters in AlB(7)(-) and AlB(8)(-). Instead, the global minima of the two doped-clusters are of umbrella shapes, featuring an Al atom interacting ionically with a hexagonal and heptagonal pyramidal B(7) (C(6v)) and B(8) (C(7v)) fragment, respectively. These unique umbrella-type structures are understood on the basis of the special stability of the quasi-planar B(7)(3-) and planar B(8)(2-) molecular wheels derived from double aromaticity.  相似文献

We report the first biomimetic syntheses of (-)-gochnatiolides A-C and (-)-ainsliadimer B based on our proposed biogenetic pathway. Our synthesis features one-pot cascade transformations including Saegusa oxidation, intermolecular Diels-Alder cycloaddition, and radical-mediated allylic oxidation, which allow for the rapid generation of (-)-gochnatiolides A-C in a collective manner. We also disclose an unprecedented "copper effect" on the stereochemical outcome of the radical-mediated allylic oxidation. Our synthetic endeavors led to the structural reassignment of (-)-gochnatiolide B. Ultimately, a biomimetic transformation from gochnatiolide B to ainsliadimer B was achieved through a remarkable direct enone hydration.  相似文献

The two clusters [8,8-(eta(2)-dppm)-8-(eta(1)-dppm)-nido-8,7-RhSB(9)H(10)] (1) and [9,9-(eta(2)-dppm)-9-(eta(1)-dppm)-nido-9,7,8-RhC(2)B(8)H(11)] (2) (dppm = PPh(2)CH(2)PPh(2)), both of which contain pendant PPh(2) groups, react with BH(3).thf to afford the species [8,8-eta(2)-(eta(2)-(BH(3)).dppm)-nido-8,7-RhSB(9)H(10)] (3) and [9,9-eta(2)-(eta(2)-(BH(3)).dppm))-nido-9,7,8-RhC(2)B(8)H(11)] (4), respectively. These two species are very similar in that they both contain the bidentate ligand [(BH(3)).dppm], which coordinates to the Rh center via a PPh(2) group and also via a eta(2)-BH(3) group. Thus, the B atom in the BH(3) group is four-coordinate, bonded to Rh by two bridging hydrogen atoms, to a terminal H atom, and to a PPh(2) group. At room temperature, the BH(3) group is fluxional; the two bridging H atoms and the terminal H atom are equivalent on the NMR time scale. The motion is arrested at low temperature with DeltaG++ = ca. 37 and 42 kJ mol(-1), respectively, for 3 and 4. Both species are characterized completely by NMR and mass spectral measurements as well as by elemental analysis and single-crystal structure determinations.  相似文献

A single-crystal X-ray determination of the [Li(CH(3)CN)(2)(+)](6-CH(3)-nido-5,6,9-C(3)B(7)H(9)(-)) salt has shown that the 6-CH(3)-nido-5,6,9-C(3)B(7)H(9)(-) tricarbadecaboranyl anion has a nido-cage geometry based on an octadecahedron missing the unique six-coordinate vertex. The resulting six-membered open face is puckered, with two of the cage carbons (C6 and C9) occupying the low-coordinate cage positions above the plane of the four remaining atoms (C5, B7, B8, and B10). The Li(+) ion is centered over the open face and is solvated by two acetonitrile molecules. The reactions of the 6-CH(3)-nido-5,6,9-C(3)B(7)H(9)(-) anion with various vanadium halide salts, including VCl(4), VCl(3), and VBr(2), each resulted in the isolation of the same five paramagnetic products (2-6) of composition V(CH(3)-C(3)B(7)H(9))(2). X-ray crystallographic determinations of 2-5 showed that the complexes consist of two octadecahedral VC(3)B(7) fragments sharing a common vanadium vertex and established their structures as commo-V-(1-V-4'-CH(3)-2',3',4'-C(3)B(7)H(9))(1-V-2-CH(3)-2,3,4-C(3)B(7)H(9)) (2), commo-V-(1-V-5'-CH(3)-2',3',5'-C(3)B(7)H(9))(1-V-4-CH(3)-2,3,4-C(3)B(7)H(9)) (3), commo-V-(1-V-5'-CH(3)-2',3',5'-C(3)B(7)H(9))(1-V-2-CH(3)-2,3,4-C(3)B(7)H(9)) (4), and commo-V-(1-V-2-CH(3)-2,3,4-C(3)B(7)H(9))(2) (5). These complexes can be considered as tricarbadecaboranyl analogues of vanadocene, (eta(5)-C(5)H(5))(2)V. However, unlike vanadocene, these complexes are air- and moisture-stable and have only one unpaired electron. The five complexes differ with respect to one another in that they either (1) contain different enantiomeric forms of the CH(3)-C(3)B(7)H(9) cages, (2) have a different twist orientation of the two cages, or (3) have the methyl group of the CH(3)-C(3)B(7)H(9) cage located in either the 2 or 4 position of the cage. Subsequent attempts to oxidize the compounds with reagents such as Br(2) and Ag(+) were unsuccessful, illustrating the ability of the tricarbadecaboranyl anion to stabilize metals in low oxidation states. Consistent with this, both the electrochemical oxidation and the reduction of 2 were much more positive than those of the same oxidation state changes in vanadocene. The one-electron reduction of 2 is a remarkable 2.9 V positive of that of Cp(2)V.  相似文献

The reaction of the alkyne HCCC(O)OMe with 7 sep 1,2-(Cp*RuH)2B3H7 leads to hydroboration plus hydroruthenation to produce nido-1,3-mu-Me{C(O)OMe}C-1,2-(Cp*Ru)2B3H7, a compound with an exocluster ruthenium-boron mu-alkylidene that exists in two isomeric forms. Both isomers undergo rearrangement with intramolecular chelation of the carbonyl oxygen at a boron site, thereby opening the cluster and generating arachno-2,3,-mu(C)-5-eta1(O)-Me{C(O)OMe}C-1,2-(Cp*Ru)2B3H7. Further heating leads to deoxygenation of the carbonyl fragment by a boron center concurrent with insertion of the carbon atom into the metallaborane cage to give nido-1,2-(Cp*RuH)2-3-HOB-4-MeC-5-MeOC-BH3.  相似文献

The reaction of [AuCl(PR(3))] with [1,2-(Ph(2)P)(2)-1,2-C(2)B(10)H(10)] in refluxing ethanol proceeds with partial degradation (removal of a boron atom adjacent to carbon) of the closo species to give [Au{(PPh(2))(2)C(2)B(9)H(10)}(PR(3))] [PR(3) = PPh(3) (1), PPh(2)Me (2), PPh(2)(4-Me-C(6)H(4)) (3), P(4-Me-C(6)H(4))(3) (4), P(4-OMe-C(6)H(4))(3) (5)]. Similarly, the treatment of [Au(2)Cl(2)(&mgr;-P-P)] with [1,2-(Ph(2)P)(2)-1,2-C(2)B(10)H(10)] under the same conditions leads to the complexes [Au(2){(PPh(2))(2)C(2)B(9)H(10)}(2)(&mgr;-P-P)] [P-P = dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (6), dppp = 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (7)], where the dppe or dppp ligands bridge two gold nido-diphosphine units. The reaction of 1 with NaH leads to removal of one proton, and further reaction with [Au(PPh(3))(tht)]ClO(4) gives the novel metallocarborane compound [Au(2){(PPh(2))(2)C(2)B(9)H(9)}(PPh(3))(2)] (8). The structure of complexes 1 and 7 have been established by X-ray diffraction. [Au{(PPh(2))(2)C(2)B(9)H(10)}(PPh(3))] (1) (dichloromethane solvate) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 17.326(3) ?, b = 20.688(3) ?, c = 13.442(2) ?, beta = 104.710(12) degrees, Z = 4, and T = -100 degrees C. [Au(2){(PPh(2))(2)C(2)B(9)H(10)}(2)(&mgr;-dppp)] (7) (acetone solvate) is triclinic, space group P&onemacr;, a = 13.432(3) ?, b = 18.888(3) ?, c = 20.021(3) ?, alpha = 78.56(2) degrees, beta = 72.02(2) degrees, gamma = 73.31(2) degrees, Z = 2, and T = -100 degrees C. In both complexes the gold atom exhibits trigonal planar geometry with the 7,8-bis(diphenylphosphino)-7,8-dicarba-nido-undecaborate(1-) acting as a chelating ligand.  相似文献

The electronic and structural properties of a series of boron oxide clusters, B(5)O(-), B(6)O(2) (-), and B(7)O(3) (-), are studied using photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional calculations. Vibrationally resolved photoelectron spectra are obtained, yielding electron affinities of 3.45, 3.54, and 4.94 eV for the corresponding neutrals, B(5)O, B(6)O(2), and B(7)O(3), respectively. Structural optimizations show that these oxide clusters can be formulated as B(4)(BO)(n) (-) (n = 1-3), which involve boronyls coordinated to a planar rhombic B(4) cluster. Chemical bonding analyses indicate that the B(4)(BO)(n) (-) clusters are all aromatic species with two π electrons.  相似文献

Geometrical optimization and theoretical calculation of the vibrational frequencies have been performed for C2B10H12, NB11H12 and C2B10Cl by using Gaussian 92 program at 6-31G basis set. The results obtained in this work are in agreement with experimental ones. The optimized geometry and vibrational spectra show that the icosahedral configuration remains unchanged upon converting from B12H122- to the title compounds. The vibrational spectrum of C2B10H11Cl features the absence of C-Cl stretching vibration. But the (C2B10H11)-Cl vibration mode in the low frequency region is as the case for two-atom molecules if the group (C2B10H11) is considered as a pseudoatom  相似文献

We have produced and investigated an unique boron oxide cluster, B4O2(-), using photoelectron spectroscopy and ab initio calculations. Relatively simple and highly vibrationally resolved PES spectra were obtained at two photon energies (355 and 193 nm). The electron affinity of neutral B4O2 was measured to be 3.160 +/- 0.015 eV. Two excited states were observed for B4O2 at excitation energies of 0.48 and 0.83 eV above the ground state. Three vibrational modes were resolved in the 355 nm spectrum for the ground state of B4O2 with frequencies of 350 +/- 40, 1530 +/- 30, and 2040 +/- 30 cm(-1). Ab initio calculations showed that neutral B4O2 (D(infinity h), 3sigma(g)-) and anionic B4O2(-) (D(infinity h), 2pi(u)) both possess highly stable linear structures (O[triple bond]B-B=B-B[triple bond]O), which can be viewed as a B2 dimer bonded to two terminal boronyl groups. The lowest nonlinear structures are at least 1.5 eV higher in energy. The calculated electron detachment energies from the linear B4O2- and the vibrational frequencies agree well with the experimental results. The three observed vibrational modes are due to the B-B, B=B, and B[triple bond]O symmetric stretching vibrations, respectively, in the linear B2(BO)2. Chemical bonding analyses revealed that the HOMO of B2(BO)2, which is half-filled, is a bonding pi orbital in the central B2 unit. Thus, adding two electrons to B2(BO)2 leads to a B[triple bond]B triple bond in [O[triple bond]B-B[triple bond]B-B[triple bond]O]2-. Possibilities for stabilizing B2(BO)2(2-) in the form of B2(BO)2Li2 are considered computationally and compared with other valent isoelectronic, triple bonded species, B2H2Li2, B2H2(2-), and C2H2. The high stability of B2(BO)2(2-) suggests that it may exist as a viable building block in the condensed phase.  相似文献

A pair of structural isomers was isolated at room temperature for the thermochromic nickel complex bis( N-isopropyl-5,6-benzosalicylideneiminato)nickel(II); one is a diamagnetic green form with square-planar coordination geometry (G phase), and the other is a paramagnetic brown form with a tetrahedral geometry (B phase). However, a question as to which form is thermodynamically stable was left open. To solve this problem, thermal and magnetic properties of this complex were investigated by adiabatic heat capacity calorimetry in the 6-508 K temperature range and magnetic measurements in the 2-400 K region. In addition to the two forms previously reported, two metastable crystal forms (G' and B' phases) were found. The stable phase sequence was G phase, B phase, and then liquid upon heating. The supercooled B phase gave rise to a small phase transition with nonmagnetic origin at around 50 K. By rapidly cooling the liquid, a glassy liquid state was realized below approximately 290 K. The order of thermodynamic stability at 298.15 K was revealed to be the G, B, G', and then the B' phase. The entropy, enthalpy, and Gibbs energy differences between the B and the G phases at 298.15 K were S degrees (B) - S degrees (G) = 32.8 J K (-1) mol (-1), H degrees (B) - H degrees (G) = 16.0 kJ mol (-1), and G degrees (B) - G degrees (G) = 6.25 kJ mol (-1), respectively.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of nido-[1,1,2,2-(CO)(4)-1,2-(PPh(3))(2)-1,2-FeIrB(2)H(5)] (1) is reported. 1 is formed in low yield as a degradation product from the reaction between [{&mgr;-Fe(CO)(4)}B(6)H(9)](-) and trans-Ir(CO)Cl(PPh(3))(2) in THF and is characterized from NMR, IR, and analytical data and by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 12.8622(12), b = 14.3313(12), c = 23.579(3) ?, beta = 97.12(2) degrees, Z = 4, V = 4257.0(8) ?(3), R(1) = 4.83%, and wR(2)()(F(2)) = 12.43%. The heterobimetallaborane structure may be viewed as a derivative of the binary boron hydride nido-[B(4)H(7)](-) and is related to the known homobimetallatetraborane analogues [Fe(2)(CO)(6)B(2)H(6)] and [Co(2)(CO)(6)B(2)H(4)]. 1 exhibits proton fluxionality in its (1)H NMR spectrum, which is related to that found in the latter two compounds.  相似文献

The dinucleating macrocyclic ligands (L(2;2))(2-) and (L(2;3))(2-), comprised of two 2-[(N-methylamino)methyl]-6-(iminomethyl)-4-bromophenolate entities combined by the -(CH(2))(2)- chain between the two aminic nitrogen atoms and by the -(CH(2))(2)- or -(CH(2))(3)- chain between the two iminic nitrogen atoms, have afforded the following M(II)Cu(II) complexes: [CoCu(L(2;2))](ClO(4))(2).MeCN (1A), [NiCu(L(2;2))](ClO(4))(2) (2A), [ZnCu(L(2;2))](ClO(4))(2).0.5MeCN.EtOH (3A), [CoCu(L(2;3))(MeCN)(2-PrOH)](ClO(4))(2) (4A), [NiCu(L(2;3))](ClO(4))(2) (5A), and [ZnCu(L(2;3))](ClO(4))(2).1.5DMF (6A). [CoCu(L(2;2))(MeCN)(3)](ClO(4))(2) (1A') crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, a = 11.691(2) A, b = 18.572(3) A, c = 17.058(3) A, beta= 91.18(2) degrees, V = 3703(1) A(3), and Z = 4. [NiCu(L(2;2))(DMF)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2A') crystallizes in the triclinic space group P(-)1, a = 11.260(2) A, b = 16.359(6) A, c = 10.853(4) A, alpha= 96.98(3) degrees, beta= 91.18(2) degrees, gamma= 75.20(2) degrees, V = 1917(1) A(3), and Z = 2. 4A crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, a = 15.064(8) A, b = 11.434(5) A, c = 21.352(5) A, beta= 95.83(2)degrees, V = 3659(2) A(3), and Z = 4. The X-ray crystallographic results demonstrate the M(II) to reside in the N(amine)(2)O(2) site and the Cu(II) in the N(imine)(2)O(2) site. The complexes 1-6 are regarded to be isomeric with [CuCo(L(2;2)))](ClO(4))(2).DMF (1B), [CuNi(L(2;2)))](ClO(4))(2).DMF.MeOH (2B), [CuZn(L(2;2)))](ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (3B)), [CuCo(L(2;3)))](ClO(4))(2).2H(2)O (4B), [CuNi(L(2;3)))](ClO(4))(2) (5B), and [CuZn(L(2;3)))](ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (6B) reported previously, when we ignore exogenous donating and solvating molecules. The isomeric M(II)Cu(II) and Cu(II)M(II) complexes are differentiated by X-ray structural, magnetic, visible spectroscopic, and electrochemical studies. The two isomeric forms are significantly stabilized by the "macrocyclic effect" of the ligands, but 1A is converted into 1B on an electrode, and 2A is converted into 2B at elevated temperature.  相似文献
