Abstrac A technology is proposed for multiple recording of holograms on the same section of thin recording media using the technique for obtaining rainbow holograms. It is shown that in this case the individual holograms can be reconstructed and read independently of one another. Experimental results are presented. Zh. Tekh. A comparative analysis of the experimental data on recording and multiplexing holograms, including speckle holograms, by an axial scheme is presented. The contrast and signal-to-noise ratio in the images reconstructed are compared. It is demonstrated that the thickness of the photosensitive material has an effect on the image quality during the recording of filamentary holograms.  相似文献

在理论分析无透镜傅里叶变换全息图记录的基础上,结合CCD的结构特点,用傅里叶频谱方法具体研究了无透镜傅里叶变换全息图在欠采样条件下的再现问题.指出在无透镜傅里叶变换全息术中,对有限尺寸物体而言,在记录过程不满足申农(Shannon)采样定理的条件下,仍能完整再现出物体的像.同时对再现像的变化特点进行了理论说明.所得的实验结果与理论分析一致.  相似文献

It is shown theoretically and experimentally that two-exposure recording of amplitude-scattering Gabor holograms by means of telescopic optical systems doubles the sensitivity of the interferometer with a fixed lateral shift. We present a new method for recording digital holograms under incoherent illumination. Light is reflected from a 3D object, propagates through a diffractive optical element (DOE), and is recorded by a digital camera. Three holograms are recorded sequentially, each for a different phase factor of the DOE. The three holograms are superposed in the computer, such that the result is a complex-valued Fresnel hologram. When this hologram is reconstructed in the computer, the 3D properties of the object are revealed.  相似文献

Polymer materials show their impact on optical storage technology for developing high information density and fast access-type memories with a high read-out efficiency. New azo-dye-doped polymer materials have been developed and used for recording dynamic holograms. Dynamic holograms with reasonably high diffraction efficiency have been recorded at 468 nm, and the efficiency of the Write, Read and Erase (WRE) cycle in these azo-dye-doped polymer materials was determined. Significant observations in these materials are: (i) there is no need to change the polarization of the writing beam to erase the recorded holograms, (ii) the whole WRE cycle is very fast (3–6 s) and (iii) recording of more than 250 WRE cycles without any fatigue of the recording materials is possible.  相似文献

Elimination of zero-order diffraction in digital off-axis holography   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
A simple experimental method of eliminating zero-order diffraction in the reconstructed image of off-axis digital holography is presented. Holographic diffraction grating acting as a beam splitter, an off-axis holography system is formed. The holograms of object with different recording parameters are obtained by adjusting the reflecting mirror in the recording optical system to vary the incidence orientation of the object beam in CCD to introduce a phase shift. The zero-order image can be eliminated by numerically processing the holograms of object with different recording parameters. The theoretical analyses have been done in detail and the experimental results are also given. The zero-order image eliminated, the area of reconstructed image increases remarkably, the image quality can then be significantly improved and the better resolution obtained. The experimental results show that the method presented in this paper is feasible, simple in optical system and easy in operation and data processing.  相似文献

Lateral shear interferometry is considered as a possible means for optical correction of wave fronts reconstructed from singly and doubly exposed holograms. Optical aberrations are eliminated in a moiré pattern by superposing two lateral shear interferograms using waves diffracted by original holograms. It is shown that the singly exposed hologram allows compensation for only optical inhomogeneities due to the substrate, while the doubly exposed hologram also excludes aberrations due to the recording system. The experimental results supporting the efficiency of the method as applied to imperfect substrates of holograms are presented.  相似文献

A technique of recovering the data pages from Fourier holograms recorded without the dc components is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally by use of a coaxial holographic storage system. A reconstructed image is obtained by adding a phase-modulated dc component of the signal beam on reading. The bit error rate of the reconstructed image is comparable with that for the hologram recorded with the dc component as well. Since high intensities of the dc components are not recorded in this technique, the dynamic range of the recording media can be saved, which potentially contributes to increasing the number of multiplexed holograms.  相似文献

Many workers are turning away from holograms made with thin photographic emulsions and are investigating ‘thick’ holograms, with their exciting potential of high diffraction efficiency, increased information storage capacity, reduced noise, and increased spectral or angular discrimination. This article discusses the principles of thick hologram theory, and describes some of the materials which can be used as thick recording media. Advantages and limitations of thick holograms are illustrated by experimental examples. The article concludes with a survey of the existing and future applications for thick holograms.  相似文献

We present a digital holography microscopy technique based on a parallel-quadrature phase-shifting method. Two π/2 phase-shifted holograms are recorded simultaneously using polarization phase-shifting principle, slightly off-axis recording geometry, and two identical CCD sensors. The parallel phase-shifting is realized by combining circularly polarized object beam with a 45° degree polarized reference beam through a polarizing beam splitter. DC term is eliminated by subtracting the two holograms from each other and the object information is reconstructed after selecting the frequency spectrum of the real image. Both amplitude and phase object reconstruction results are presented. Simultaneous recording eliminates phase errors caused by mechanical vibrations and air turbulences. The slightly off-axis recording geometry with phase-shifting allows a much larger dimension of the spatial filter for reconstruction of the object information. This leads to better reconstruction capability than traditional off-axis holography.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel method of incorporating concealed coding features in security holograms in the form of moiré patterns, which need an encoded key hologram to decode them. These concealed codes in the holograms are in turn recorded with an encoded feature, so that these remain invisible to the counterfeiters thereby enhancing the anti-counterfeiting ability of security holograms. These security features, which are specific kinds of moiré patterns, can only be decoded by using an encoded key hologram in the final reading process. Though these type of security holograms are quite suitable for visual inspection, they possess high degree of anti-counterfeit ability and also do not require expensive reading machines. They can also be used as security codes for better protection against counterfeiting embossed holograms. Two different recording schemes for the formation of such security holograms and typical experimental results have been presented.  相似文献

A report is given on the results of an experiment in which binary data stored in sequentially superimposed one-dimensional holograms with extremely narrow tracks were recorded on a transported recording medium. The width of the holograms was reduced to 3 μm. Since the results obtained show the optical signal-to-noise ratio of the reconstructed image points to be only slightly inferior to that with holograms with 100 μm wide tracks, the method used can be expected to yield an areal bit density greater than 107 bits/cm2.  相似文献

A method for controlling the size of amplitude and phase images reconstructed from digital holograms by the Fresnel-transform method is proposed and demonstrated. The method can provide a constant reconstruction pixel width in the reconstructed image plane, independent of the recording and reconstruction distance. The proposed method makes it possible to maintain the size of an object for a sequence of digital holograms recorded at different distances and, therefore, to subtract phase maps for an object recorded at different distances. Furthermore, the method solves the problem of superimposition in multiwavelength digital holography for color display and holographic interferometry applications.  相似文献

Reflection holograms recorded on photographic materials usually reconstruct an image at a shorter wavelength than that at which they were recorded. As a result, the lateral and longitudinal magnifications of the reconstructed image are not the same and the image appears distorted. It is shown that this distortion can be minimized by a proper choice of the recording geometry. The residual aberrations of the image are discussed.  相似文献

Improvement of images reconstructed from 3D computer-generated holograms using 1D Fourier transform operations is presented. Required computing time for making 3D holograms is decreased when 1D Fourier transform method is used instead of 2D Fourier transform method, but reconstructed images from the holograms created by the 1D Fourier transform method are somewhat inferior in quality to the images by 2D Fourier transform method. In this paper, we propose a method that the disadvantageous properties of the holograms made by 1D Fourier transform are improved. We have performed two step improvements in this experiment. From the numerical experiments, the images that are reconstructed from the holograms created from 1D Fourier transform method show marked improvement.  相似文献

In the present work we have made use of polarization phase shifting in digital holographic microscopy (DHM) for three dimensional phase profiling of transmissive and reflecting microscopic samples. The Mach–Zehnder arrangement with proper polarizing elements (polarizer-masked cube beam splitter, quarter wave plate and a linear polarizer) is used for recording the phase-shifted digital holograms. The suggested procedure is simple and accurate and obviates the need of piezo devices for phase shifting. The phase profile of the specimen is reconstructed from the holograms by using standard phase shifting algorithms.  相似文献

A new algorithm that allows for reconstruction of digital holograms with adjustable magnification is proposed. The algorithm involves two reconstruction steps implemented by a conventional single Fourier-transform algorithm. The advantages of the algorithm lie in its adaptability to various object sizes and recording distances as well as in its capability to maintain the pitch of a reconstructed image, independent of the reconstruction distance and wavelength for objects larger than a CCD. The feasibility of the algorithm is demonstrated by experiments. The algorithm is especially useful for reconstructing color holograms and for metrological applications.  相似文献
