The present paper considers the plasma-beam instability of a space limited electron beam in a strong magnetic field (ωH ? ωo). The form of the beam was taken to be both cylindrical and plane. The threshold of the non-linear regime turned out to be weakly dependent on the beam form and independent of the magnetic field intensity. We explore the feasibility of performing experiments to detect the interaction of low-energy neutrons with a given classical electric field. Bound states could be identified by means of approximate Aharonov–Casher configurations. It is shown that neutron-bound states are found under extremely low-energy conditions and very strong electric fields. 相似文献

We analyze electron–ion collisions in a magnetic field at a low temperature, for which the electron’s Larmor radius is less
than the characteristic impact parameter of close collisions without the magnetic field. This ratio of spatial scales is realized
in the photospheres of magnetic white dwarfs and in the experiments of antihydrogen creation. Under considered conditions,
an electron transits from the initial to the final state via an intermediate quasibound state. We put forward an approximate
analytical procedure for the quantum-mechanical calculation of the probabilities for an electron to transit between Landau
levels due to a collision with an ion. We reduce the calculation to the inversion of finite-dimension matrices.

The effect of a strong magnetic field on the electron energy distribution for a nondegenerate, nonrelativistic magnetized electron gas is assessed in the context of the statistical thermodynamics of equilibrium systems in the general form and for the zero Landau level. In this paper, the parametric adaptive method for controlling the beam halo-chaos in the periodic focusing channels of high-current proton linacs is presented. The study of proton beam halo-chaos based on controlled beam envelope equation and the results of particles-in-cell simulations for macro-particle beam show that the proton beam chaotic envelope as well as the beam rsm radius can be controlled to the beam matched radius using this method.For the Kapchinskij-Vladimirskij (K- V) distribution of initial proton beam, all statistical physical, quantities of the beam halo-chaos are largely reduced. This control method has an advantage of the control halo-chaos since the exterior magnetic field as controlled parameter can be rather easily adjusted in the periodical magnetic focusing channels for the experiment. 相似文献

The generation of megagauss magnetic field due to the time dependent part of the ponderomotive force of a self-focused Gaussian laser beam indicent on a plasma has been studied. Defocusing of the laser beam becomes possible due to diffraction divergence in the case of a weakly nonlinear medium. The influence of defocusing of a laser beam on magnetic field generation has also been investigated. It is found that the magnitude of the magnetic field due to self focusing of the beam is enhanced and is comparable with the observed values, while there is a reduction in the magnitude of the magnetic field when the beam defocuses due to diffraction divergence in the presence of weak nonlinearity. 相似文献
