In an -group M with an appropriate operator set it is shown that the -value set (M) can be embedded in the value set (M). This embedding is an isomorphism if and only if each convex -subgroup is an -subgroup. If (M) has a.c.c. and M is either representable or finitely valued, then the two value sets are identical. More generally, these results hold for two related operator sets 1 and 2 and the corresponding -value sets and . If R is a unital -ring, then each unital -module over R is an f-module and has exactly when R is an f-ring in which 1 is a strong order unit.  相似文献

For a given class T of compact Hausdorff spaces, let Y(T) denote the class of -groups G such that for each gG, the Yosida space Y(g) of g belongs to T. Conversely, if R is a class of ;-groups, then T(R) stands for the class of all spaces which are homeomorphic to a Y(g) for some gGR. The correspondences TY(T) and RT(R) are examined with regard to several closure properties of classes. Several sections are devoted to radical classes of -groups whose Yosida spaces are zero-dimensional. There is a thorough discussion of hyper-projectable -groups, followed by presentations on Y(e.d.), where e.d. denotes the class of compact extremally disconnected spaces, and, for each regular uncountable cardinal , the class Y(disc), where disc stands for the class of all compact -disconnected spaces. Sample results follow. Every strongly projectable -group lies in Y(e.d.). The -group G lies in Y(e.d.) if and only if for each gG Y(g) is zero-dimensional and the Boolean algebra of components of g, comp(g), is complete. Corresponding results hold for Y(disc). Finally, there is a discussion of Y(F), with F standing for the class of compact F-spaces. It is shown that an Archimedean -group G is in Y(F) if and only if, for each pair of disjoint countably generated polars P and Q, G=P +Q .  相似文献

It is well known that every finite subgroup of GL d (Q ) is conjugate to a subgroup of GL d (Z ). However, this does not remain true if we replace general linear groups by symplectic groups. We say that G is a group of inertia type of G is a finite group which has a normal Sylow-p-subgroup with cyclic quotient. We show that if >d+1, and G is a subgroup of Sp 2d (Q ) of inertia type, then G is conjugate in GL 2d (Q ) to a subgroup of Sp 2d (Z ). We give examples which show that the bound is sharp. We apply these results to construct, for every odd prime , isogeny classes of Abelian varieties all of whose polarizations have degree divisible by 2. We prove similar results for Euler characteristic of invertible sheaves on Abelian varieties over fields of positive characteristic.  相似文献

We show that the r-dominated polynomials on p(2 p ) are integral on 1, and give examples proving that the converse is not true. We characterize when the 2-homogeneous, diagonal polynomials on p(1 < p ) are r-dominated. We prove that, unlike the linear case, there are nuclear polynomials which are not 1-dominated.Received: 6 June 2004; revised: 28 September 2004  相似文献

Let M be a two-dimensional motive which is pure of weight w over a number field K and let (: GK Aut(H(M) )) be the system of the -adic realizations. Choose GK-invariant -lattices T of H(M) and let (:GK GL (T))be the corresponding system of integral representations. Then either for almost all primes (GK) consist of all the elements of GL(T) with determinant in ( *)–w or the system () is associated to algebraic Hecke characters. We also can prove an adelic version of our results.Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 11F80  相似文献

In this paper we study some properties of the flag space () of a topological projective plane . The line set, sayL, of (), splits into two subfamiliesL 0 andL 1 which an non-trivial partitions of the point set of (). For any two distinct lines , ' belonging to one of the two subfamilies, there is exactly one line in the other subfamily meeting botl and '; turns out to be a continuous mapping of (-,'–. Further, the intersection o: two lines, having exactly one point in common, is a continuous and open mapping. Conversely, every irreducible semilinear space, satisfying the above properties, is isomor phic to the flag space of a topological projective plane. This paper has been prepared from some results of a research project supported by N.A.T.O.  相似文献

A typical result of the paper states that if X is a Banach space with a basis and for some 1pq, the spaces p and q are finitely block representable in every block subspace of X, then every block subspace of X admits a block quotient Z such that for every r[p,q], the space r is finitely block representable in Z. Results of a similar nature are also established for N p-block-sequences and asymptotic spaces.  相似文献

We prove a local limit theorem (LLT) on Cramer-type large deviations for sums S V = t V ( t ), where t , t Z , 1, is a Markov Gaussian random field, V Z , and is a bounded Borel function. We get an estimate from below for the variance of S V and construct two classes of functions , for which the LLT of large deviations holds.

Let :G E H(Q ) be a system of -adic Galois representations associated to a motive over a number fieldE with values in the algebraic groupH. LetHH be a central isogeny such that the complex Hodge structure lifts toH. The main result is that, under some convenient hypothesis, and after restriction to a finite extension, the system of Galois representations lifts toH.

A relation between Chung's and Strassen's laws of the iterated logarithm   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Summary Let W(t) be a standard Wiener process and let f(x) be a function from the compact class in Strassen's law of the iterated logarithm. We investigate the lim inf behavior of the variable sup ¦W(xT)(2T loglog T)–1/2f(x)¦, 0x1 suitably normalized as T.This extends Chung's result valid for f(x)0, stating that lim inf.[ sup ¦(2T loglogT)–1/2 W(xT)¦(loglog T)–1]=/4 a.s. We shall develop a method to prove inequalities in a unified manner. The idea is as follows: It is quite often possible to find a continuous functional : n , such that the left- and the right-hand side of a given inequality can be written in the form (u)(v) for suitable points,v=v(u). If one now constructs a map n n , which is functional increasing (i.e. for each x n (which is not a fixed point of ) the inequality (x)<((x)) should hold) one specially gets the chain (u)( u))( 2(u))... n (u)). Under quite general conditions one finds that the sequence { n (u)} n converges tov=v(u). As a consequence one obtains the inequality (u)(v).  相似文献

The generators of the algebra s(2), which result from the nonstandard (Jordanian) deformation of the algebra s(2), are realized in the form of finite-difference operators acting in a function space. This allows realizing arbitrary-dimensional representations of s(2) in the polynomial space that are in one-to-one correspondence with usual matrices of an appropriate dimension. We discuss using the suggested realization to construct and investigate the universal R-matrix invariant with respect to the action of the algebra s(2).  相似文献

We introduce two new local 1-indices of the same type as the Bourgain 1-index; the +1-index and the +1-weakly null index. We show that the +1-weakly null index of a Banach space X is the same as the Szlenk index of X, provided X does not contain 1. The +1-weakly null index has the same form as the Bourgain 1-index: if it is countable it must take values for some <1. The different 1-indices are closely related and so knowing the Szlenk index of a Banach space helps us calculate its 1-index, via the +1-weakly null index. We show that I(C())=^1++1.  相似文献

For C a bounded, injective operator with dense image, we define a C-regularized spectral distribution. This produces a functional calculus, f f(B), from C() into the space of closed densely defined operators, such that f(B)C is bounded when f has compact support. As an analogue of Stone's theorem, we characterize certain regularized spectral distributions as corresponding to generators of polynomially bounded C-regularized groups. We represent the regularized spectral distribution in terms of the regularized group and in terms of the C-resolvent. Applications include the Schrödinger equation with potential, and symmetric hyperbolic systems, all on Lp(n) (1p<), C o(n), BUC(n), or any space of functions where translation is a bounded strongly continuous group.  相似文献

Let (x) stand for the number of primes not exceedingx. In the present work it is shown that if 23/421,yx andx>x() then (x)–(x–y)>y/(100 logx). This implies for the difference between consecutive primes the inequalityp n+1p n p n 23/42 .  相似文献

Summary Consider estimating the mean vector from dataN n (, 2 I) withl q norm loss,q1, when is known to lie in ann-dimensionall p ball,p(0, ). For largen, the ratio of minimaxlinear risk to minimax risk can bearbitrarily large ifp. Obvious exceptions aside, the limiting ratio equals 1 only ifp=q=2. Our arguments are mostly indirect, involving a reduction to a univariate Bayes minimax problem. Whenp, simple non-linear co-ordinatewise threshold rules are asymptotically minimax at small signal-to-noise ratios, and within a bounded factor of asymptotic minimaxity in general. We also give asymptotic evaluations of the minimax linear risk. Our results are basic to a theory of estimation in Besov spaces using wavelet bases (to appear elsewhere).  相似文献
