Let F:M ×\mathbbR ? M {\mathbf{F}}:M \times \mathbb{R} \to M be a continuous flow on a manifold M, let VM be an open subset, and let x:V ? \mathbbR \xi :V \to \mathbb{R} be a continuous function. We say that ξ is a period function if F(x, ξ(x)) = x for all xV. Recently, for any open connected subset VM; the author has described the structure of the set P(V) of all period functions on V. Assume that F is topologically conjugate to some C1 {\mathcal{C}^1} -flow. It is shown in this paper that, in this case, the period functions of F satisfy some additional conditions that, generally speaking, are not satisfied for general continuous flows.  相似文献

We investigate real local isometric immersions of Kähler manifolds ${\mathbb{C}Q^2_c}$ of constant holomorphic curvature 4c into complex projective 3-space. Our main result is that the standard embedding of ${\mathbb{C}P^2}$ into ${\mathbb{C}P^3}$ has strong rigidity under the class of local isometric transformations. We also prove that there are no local isometric immersions of ${\mathbb{C}Q^2_c}$ into ${\mathbb{C}P^3}$ when they have different holomorphic curvature. An important method used is a study of the relationship between the complex structure of any locally isometric immersed ${\mathbb{C}Q^2_c}$ and the complex structure of the ambient space ${\mathbb{C}P^3}$ .  相似文献

We describe strong commutativity preservers on the algebra of infinite upper triangular matrices over a field F such that char\({(F) \neq 2}\). We show that every such map is some kind of a sum of a few sorts of maps. We also discuss the form of the maps that preserve commutativity in both directions.  相似文献

We characterize and discuss the properties of $ \mathcal{I}R $ \mathcal{I}R -closed sets and $ A_{\mathcal{I}R} $ A_{\mathcal{I}R} -sets. Also, we give characterizations of weakly $ \mathcal{I} $ \mathcal{I} -locally closed sets and $ \mathcal{I} $ \mathcal{I} -submaximal spaces. A characterization of codense ideals in terms of $ \mathcal{I}R $ \mathcal{I}R -closed sets is also given.  相似文献

The goals of this paper are twofold. One is to look at the behavior of the collections of permutable subgroups and S-permutable subgroups under the intersection map into a fixed subgroup of a group. The other is to locally analyze the intersection map in connection with -, -, and -groups. In particular, we generalize Theorem 1 of Bauman [Arch. Math. (Basel) 25:337–340, 1974] to - and -groups.   相似文献

We investigate the problem of computing the inverses of stiffness matrices resulting from the finite element discretization of elliptic partial differential equations. Since the solution operators are non-local, the inverse matrices will in general be dense, therefore representing them by standard techniques will require prohibitively large amounts of storage. In the field of integral equations, a successful technique for handling dense matrices efficiently is to use a data-sparse representation like the popular multipole method. In this paper we prove that this approach can be generalized to cover inverse matrices corresponding to partial differential equations by switching to data-sparse ${\mathcal{H}}$ - and ${\mathcal{H}^2}$ -matrices. The key results are existence proofs for local low-rank approximations of the solution operator and its discrete counterpart, which give rise to error estimates for ${\mathcal{H}}$ - and ${\mathcal{H}^2}$ -matrix approximations of the entire matrices.  相似文献

The present paper proposes a general theory for $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1}, \mathcal{Z}_{2}\right) $ -complete partially ordered sets (alias $\mathcal{Z} _{1}$ -join complete and $\mathcal{Z}_{2}$ -meet complete partially ordered sets) and their Stone-like representations. It is shown that for suitably chosen subset selections $\mathcal{Z}_{i}$ (i?=?1,...,4) and $\mathcal{Q} =\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1},\mathcal{Z}_{2},\mathcal{Z}_{3},\mathcal{Z} _{4}\right) $ , the category $\mathcal{Q}$ P of $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1},\mathcal{Z}_{2}\right) $ -complete partially ordered sets and $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{3},\mathcal{Z}_{4}\right) $ -continuous (alias $\mathcal{ Z}_{3}$ -join preserving and $\mathcal{Z}_{4}$ -meet preserving) functions forms a useful categorical framework for various order-theoretical constructs, and has a close connection with the category $\mathcal{Q}$ S of $\mathcal{Q}$ -spaces which are generalizations of topological spaces involving subset selections. In particular, this connection turns into a dual equivalence between the full subcategory $ \mathcal{Q}$ P s of $\mathcal{Q}$ P of all $\mathcal{Q}$ -spatial objects and the full subcategory $\mathcal{Q}$ S s of $\mathcal{Q}$ S of all $\mathcal{Q}$ -sober objects. Here $\mathcal{Q}$ -spatiality and $\mathcal{Q}$ -sobriety extend usual notions of spatiality of locales and sobriety of topological spaces to the present approach, and their relations to $\mathcal{Z}$ -compact generation and $\mathcal{Z}$ -sobriety have also been pointed out in this paper.  相似文献

We present two approaches to the study of the cohomology of moduli spaces of curves. Together, they allow us to compute the rational cohomology of the moduli space of stable complex curves of genus 4, with its Hodge structure.  相似文献

Let G be a connected graph. For ${x,y\in V(G)}$ with d(x, y) = 2, we define ${J(x,y)= \{u \in N(x)\cap N(y)\mid N[u] \subseteq N[x] \,{\cup}\,N[y] \}}$ and ${J'(x,y)= \{u \in N(x) \cap N(y)\,{\mid}\,{\rm if}\ v \in N(u){\setminus}(N[x] \,{\cup}\, N[y])\ {\rm then}\ N[x] \,{\cup}\, N[y]\,{\cup}\,N[u]{\setminus}\{x,y\}\subseteq N[v]\}}$ . A graph G is quasi-claw-free if ${J(x,y) \not= \emptyset}$ for each pair (x, y) of vertices at distance 2 in G. Broersma and Vumar (in Math Meth Oper Res. doi:10.1007/s00186-008-0260-7) introduced ${\mathcal{P}_{3}}$ -dominated graphs defined as ${J(x,y)\,{\cup}\, J'(x,y)\not= \emptyset}$ for each ${x,y \in V(G)}$ with d(x, y) = 2. This class properly contains that of quasi-claw-free graphs, and hence that of claw-free graphs. In this note, we prove that a 2-connected ${\mathcal{P}_3}$ -dominated graph is 1-tough, with two exceptions: K 2,3 and K 1,1,3, and prove that every even connected ${\mathcal{P}_3}$ -dominated graph ${G\ncong K_{1,3}}$ has a perfect matching. Moreover, we show that every even (2p + 1)-connected ${\mathcal{P}_3}$ -dominated graph is p-extendable. This result follows from a stronger result concerning factor-criticality of ${\mathcal{P}_3}$ -dominated graphs.  相似文献

In this paper we construct the quantum Virasoro algebra generators in terms of operators of the generalized Clifford algebras Cnk. Precisely, we show that can be embedded into generalized Clifford algebras. Junior Associate at The Abdus Salam ICTP, Trieste, Italy.  相似文献

We consider smooth finitely C 0- ${\mathcal{K}}$ -determined map germs ${f : (\mathbb{R}^n, 0) \to (\mathbb{R}^p, 0)}$ and we look at the classification under C 0- ${\mathcal{K}}$ -equivalence. The main tool is the homotopy type of the link, which is obtained by intersecting the image of f with a small enough sphere centered at the origin. When f ?1(0) = {0}, the link is a smooth map between spheres and f is C 0- ${\mathcal{K}}$ -equivalent to the cone of its link. When f ?1(0) ≠ {0}, we consider a link diagram, which contains some extra information, but again f is C 0- ${\mathcal{K}}$ -equivalent to the generalized cone. As a consequence, we deduce some known results due to Nishimura (for np) or the first named author (for np). We also prove some new results of the same nature.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and a formation of finite groups. We say that a subgroup H of G is -supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup T of G such that G = TH and is contained in the -hypercenter of G/H G . In this paper, we use -supplemented subgroups to study the structure of finite groups. A series of previously known results are unified and generalized. Lin and Su classified A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebras of real rank zero. This class includes all A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebras of real rank zero as well as many C*-algebras which are not stably finite. An A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra often becomes an extension of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra. In this paper, we show that there is an essential extension of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra which is not an A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra. We describe a characterization of an extension E of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra if E is an A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra.  相似文献

We investigate the partition property of ${\mathcal{P}_{\kappa}\lambda}$ . Main results of this paper are as follows: (1) If λ is the least cardinal greater than κ such that ${\mathcal{P}_{\kappa}\lambda}$ carries a (λ κ , 2)-distributive normal ideal without the partition property, then λ is ${\Pi^1_n}$ -indescribable for all n?<?ω but not ${\Pi^2_1}$ -indescribable. (2) If cf(λ) ≥?κ, then every ineffable subset of ${\mathcal{P}_{\kappa}\lambda}$ has the partition property. (3) If cf(λ) ≥ κ, then the completely ineffable ideal over ${\mathcal{P}_{\kappa}\lambda}$ has the partition property.  相似文献

Let I 0 be a a computable basis of the fully effective vector space V over the computable field F. Let I be a quasimaximal subset of I 0 that is the intersection of n maximal subsets of the same 1-degree up to *. We prove that the principal filter ${\mathcal{L}^{\ast}(V,\uparrow )}$ of V = cl(I) is isomorphic to the lattice ${\mathcal{L}(n, \overline{F})}$ of subspaces of an n-dimensional space over ${\overline{F}}$ , a ${\Sigma _{3}^{0}}$ extension of F. As a corollary of this and the main result of Dimitrov (Math Log 43:415–424, 2004) we prove that any finite product of the lattices ${(\mathcal{L}(n_{i}, \overline{F }_{i}))_{i=1}^{k}}$ is isomorphic to a principal filter of ${\mathcal{ L}^{\ast}(V_{\infty})}$ . We thus answer Question 5.3 “What are the principal filters of ${\mathcal{L}^{\ast}(V_{\infty}) ?}$ ” posed by Downey and Remmel (Computable algebras and closure systems: coding properties, handbook of recursive mathematics, vol 2, pp 977–1039, Stud Log Found Math, vol 139, North-Holland, Amsterdam, 1998) for spaces that are closures of quasimaximal sets.  相似文献

H. P. Gumm and T. Schröder stated a conjecture that the preservation of preimages by a functor T for which |T1| = 1 is equivalent to the satisfaction of the class equality \({{\mathcal {HS}}({\sf K}) = {\mathcal {SH}}({\sf K})}\) for any class K of T-coalgebras. Although T. Brengos and V. Trnková gave a positive answer to this problem for a wide class of Set-endofunctors, they were unable to find the full solution. Using a construction of a rigid unary algebra we prove \({{\mathcal {HS}} \neq {\mathcal {SH}}}\) for a class of Set-endofunctors not preserving non-empty preimages; these functors have not been considered previously.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ be the moduli space of smooth complex projective curves of genus g. Here we prove that the subset of ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ formed by all curves for which some Brill-Noether locus has dimension larger than the expected one has codimension at least two in ${\mathcal{M}_g }$ . As an application we show that if ${X \in \mathcal{M}_g }$ is defined over $\mathbb{R}$ then there exists a low degree pencil ${u:X \to \mathbb{P}^1 }$ defined over $\mathbb{R}.$   相似文献
