We introduce support (curvature) measures of an arbitrary closed set A in d and establish a local Steiner–type formula for the localized parallel volume of A. We derive some of the basic properties of these support measures and explore how they are related to the curvature measures available in the literature. Then we use the support measures in analysing contact distributions of stationary random closed sets, with a particular emphasis on the Boolean model with general compact particles. We derive a Wick–Itô formula, that is, an Itô-type formula based on Wick integration. We derive it in the context of regular Gaussian processes which include Brownian motion and fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter greater than 1/2. We then consider applications to the Black and Scholes formula for the pricing of a European call option. It has been shown that using Wick integration in this context is problematic for economic reasons. We show that it is also problematic for mathematical reasons because the resulting Black and Scholes formula depends only on the variance of the process and not on its dependence structure.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This work considers a financial market stochastic model where the uncertainty is driven by a multidimensional Brownian motion. The market price of the risk process makes the transition between real world probability measure and risk neutral probability measure. Traditionally, the martingale representation formulas under the risk neutral probability measure require the market price of risk process to be bounded. However, in several financial models the boundedness assumption of the market price of risk fails; for example a financial market model with the market price of risk following an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process. This work extends the Clark–Haussmann representation formula to underlying stochastic processes which fail to satisfy the standard requirements. Our methodology is classical, and it uses a sequence of mollifiers. Our result can be applied to hedging and optimal investment in financial markets with unbounded market price of risk. In particular, the mean variance optimization problem can be addressed within our framework.  相似文献

In the paper, we first use the energy method to establish the local well-posedness as well as blow-up criteria for the Cauchy problem on the two-component Euler–Poincaré equations in multi-dimensional space. In the case of dimensions 2 and 3, we show that for a large class of smooth initial data with some concentration property, the corresponding solutions blow up in finite time by using Constantin–Escher Lemma and Littlewood–Paley decomposition theory. Then for the one-component case, a more precise blow-up estimate and a global existence result are also established by using similar methods. Next, we investigate the zero density limit and the zero dispersion limit. At the end, we also briefly demonstrate a Liouville type theorem for the stationary weak solution.  相似文献

We study bounded ancient solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations. These are solutions with bounded velocity defined in R n × (−1, 0). In two space dimensions we prove that such solutions are either constant or of the form u(x, t) = b(t), depending on the exact definition of admissible solutions. The general 3-dimensional problem seems to be out of reach of existing techniques, but partial results can be obtained in the case of axisymmetric solutions. We apply these results to some scenarios of potential singularity formation for axi-symmetric solutions, and obtain extensions of results in a recent paper by Chen, Strain, Tsai and Yau [4].  相似文献

Some results are presented on the formation of singularities in the solutions of the radially-symmetric N-dimensional Euler or Euler–Poisson equations with repulsive forces. Based on the integration method of M.W. Inspired by the Kruskal–Katona theorem a minimization problem is studied, where the role of the shadow is replaced by the image of the action of a certain subset of the monoid of increasing functions. Two identities for the Bernoulli and for the Euler numbers are derived. These identities involve two special cases of central combinatorial numbers. The approach is based on a set of differential identities for the powers of the secant.
