Das Tris(cyclopentadienyl)methylsilan-Trianion – ein neues Ligandensystem und Komplexbildung mit Rhodium

The Tris(cyclopentadienyl)methylsilane Trianion – a New Ligand System and Complex Formation with Rhodium Starting from MeSiCl₃ the title compound was synthesized by two steps as the virtually insoluble trithallium salt ( 1 ). Reaction of 1 with [(C₂H₄)₂RhCl]₂ in pentane gives {MeSi[C₅H₄Rh(C₂H₄)₂]₃} ( 2 ). Under UV irradiation of 2 in pentane in the presence of benzene only two [C₅H₄Rh(C₂H₄)₂] units of 2 react with loss of ethene and formation of the μ-η³ : η³ benzene compound {MeSi[(C₅H₄Rh)₂(C₆H₆)][C₅H₄Rh(C₂H₄)₂]} ( 3 ). The novel complexes 2 and 3 were characterized spectroscopically and by X-ray structure analysis.     

Ag4Bi2O5 — ein neues Silberbismutat(III)

Ag₄Bi₂O₅ — A Novel Silverbismuthate(III) Yellow single crystals of Ag₄Bi₂O₅ have been obtained for the first time by solid state reaction of Ag₂O and Bi₂O₃ applying an oxygen pressure of 10 MPa at a temperature of 473 K. According to the results of a single crystal structure determination (Pnna, a = 1428.3(2), b = 569.2(1), c = 877.7(1) pm, Z = 4, 1544 diffractometer data, R₁ = 0.050, wR² = 0.094) the anionic partial structure of Ag₄Bi₂O₅ consists of chains of corner and edge sharing BiO₄-units. The silveratoms form a network of threedimensionally connected trigonal bipyramides with Ag? Ag-contacts between 285 and 323 pm.     

Na10Zn4O9 – ein neues Oxozinkat mit trigonal-planar koordiniertem Zink

Na₁₀Zn₄O₉, a Novel Oxozincate with Trigonal Planar Coordinated Zinc Using a new preparation method for sodium oxometallates we have succeeded in the synthesis of the new ternary oxide Na₁₀Zn₄O₉. Active ZnO reacted with Na₂O generated in situ from NaN₃ and NaNO₂. The compound consists of ZnO₄ tetrahedra which are connected via edges and corners to form layers of the composition ZnO₂. Furthermore, the structure was found to contain isolated, trigonal planar ZnO₃ units. 21 of 60 Na⁺ ions within the unit cell are disordered. Na₁₀Zn₄O₉ crystallizes in the space group R3 m (Nr. 166). The lattice constants are: a = 10.815(3), c = 17.930(7) Å; Z = 6; 8056 reflections; R = 0.062. The sodium ion conductivity at 400°C is 6 × 10^?3 Ω^?1 cm^?1.
