It is proved that, for any n ∈ ω, there exist countable linear orderings Ln whose Δ 2 0 -spectrum consists of exactly all non n-low Δ 2 0 -degrees. Properties of such orderings are examined, for n = 1 and n = 2. A closed topological n-manifold M n is of S 1-category 2 if it can be covered by two open subsets W 1,W 2 such that the inclusions W i M n factor homotopically through maps W i S 1M n . We show that the fundamental group of such an n-manifold is a cyclic group or a free product of two cyclic groups with nontrivial amalgamation. In particular, if n = 3, the fundamental group is cyclic.   相似文献

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the uniformly non-l n (1) property of Musielak-Orlicz sequence spacesl Φ generated by a sequence Φ=(ϕn:n⩾l) of finite Orlicz functions such that for eachn∈ℕ. As a result, forn 0⩾2, there exist spacesl Φ which are only uniformly non-l n (1) fornn 0. Moreover we obtain a characterization of uniformly non-l n (1) and reflexive Orlicz sequence spaces over a wide class of purely atomic measures and of uniformly non-l n (1) Nakano sequence spaces. This extends a result of Luxemburg in [19]. Submitted in memory of Professor W. Orlicz  相似文献

Assume that each completely irrational noncommutative torus is realized as an inductive limit of circle algebras, and that for a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aw of rank m there are a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aρ of rank m and a positive integer d such that tr(Aw)=1/d.tr(Aρ).It is proved that the set of all C^*-algebras of sections of locally trivial C^*-algebra bundles over S^2 with fibres Aω has a group sturcture,denoted by π1^s(Aut(Aω)),which is isomorphic to Zif Ed>1 and {0} if d>1.Let Bcd be a cd-homogeneous C^*-algebra over S^2×T^2 of which no non-trivial matrix algebra can be factored out.The spherical noncommutative torus Sρ^cd is defined by twisting C^*(T2×Z^m-2) in Bcd ×C^*(Z^m-3) by a totally skew multiplier ρ on T^2×Z^m-2。It is shown that Sρ^cd×Mρ∞ is isomorphic to C(S^2)×C^*(T^2×Z^m-2,ρ)× Mcd(C)×Mρ∞ if and only if the set of prime factors of cd is a subset of the set of prime factors of p.  相似文献

We investigate when the set of finite products of distinct terms of a sequence 〈x n n=1 in a semigroup (S,⋅) is large in any of several standard notions of largeness. These include piecewise syndetic, central, syndetic, central*, and IP*. In the case of a “nice” sequence in (S,⋅)=(ℕ,+) one has that FS(〈x n n=1) has any or all of the first three properties if and only if {x n+1−∑ t=1 n x t :n∈ℕ} is bounded from above. N. For 0 < α < mn and nonnegative integers n ≥ 2, m ≥ 1, the multilinear fractional integral is defined by
where = (y 1,y 2, ···, y m ) and denotes the m-tuple (f 1,f 2, ···, f m ). In this note, the one-weighted and two-weighted boundedness on L p (ℝ n ) space for multilinear fractional integral operator I α(m) and the fractional multi-sublinear maximal operator M α(m) are established respectively. The authors also obtain two-weighted weak type estimate for the operator M α(m). The purpose of this paper is to investigate the refinement equations of the form
where the vector of functions ϕ=(ϕ 1..., ϕ r ) T is in (L p (ℝ s )) r , 1⩽p⩽∞, a(α), α∈ℤ s is a finitely supported sequence of r × r matrices called the refinement mask, and M is an s × s integer matrix such that lim→∞ M-n = 0. In order to solve the refinement equation mentioned above, we start with a vector of compactly supported functions φ 0∈(L p (ℝ s )) r and use the iteration schemes f n :=Q a n φ 0, n=1,2,..., where Q n is the linear operator defined on (L p (ℝ s )) r given by
This iteration scheme is called a subdivision scheme or cascade algorithm. In this paper, we characterize the Lp-convergence of subdivision schemes in terms of the p-norm joint spectral radius of a finite collection of some linear operators determined by the sequence a and the set B restricted to a certain invariant subspace, where the set B is a complete set of representatives of the distinct cosets of the quotient group ℤs/Mℤs containing 0.  相似文献

It is shown that an n × n matrix of continuous linear maps from a pro-C^*-algebra A to L(H), which verifies the condition of complete positivity, is of the form [V^*TijФ(·)V]^n i,where Ф is a representation of A on a Hilbert space K, V is a bounded linear operator from H to K, and j=1,[Tij]^n i,j=1 is a positive element in the C^*-algebra of all n×n matrices over the commutant of Ф(A) in L(K). This generalizes a result of C. Y.Suen in Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., 112(3), 1991, 709-712. Also, a covariant version of this construction is given.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss a relatively general kind of iterative functional equation G(x,f(x), ...,f n (x)) = 0 (for allxJ), whereJ is a connected closed subset of the real number axis ℝ,GC m (J n+1, ℝ) andn ≥ 2. Using the method of approximating fixed points by small shift of maps, choosing suitable metrics on functional spaces and finding a relation between uniqueness and stability of fixed points of maps of general spaces, we prove the existence, uniqueness and stability ofCm solutions of the above equation for any integer m ≥ 0 under relatively weak conditions, and generalize related results in reference in different aspects.  相似文献

Let (M n ,g) be a compact Riemannian manifold with Ric ≥−(n−1). It is well known that the bottom of spectrum λ 0 of its universal covering satisfies λ 0≤(n−1)2/4. We prove that equality holds iff M is hyperbolic. This follows from a sharp estimate for the Kaimanovich entropy. The author was partially supported by NSF Grant 0505645.  相似文献

The notion of p-adic multiresolution analysis (MRA) is introduced. We discuss a “natural” refinement equation whose solution (a refinable function) is the characteristic function of the unit disc. This equation reflects the fact that the characteristic function of the unit disc is a sum of p characteristic functions of mutually disjoint discs of radius p −1. This refinement equation generates a MRA. The case p=2 is studied in detail. Our MRA is a 2-adic analog of the real Haar MRA. But in contrast to the real setting, the refinable function generating our Haar MRA is 1-periodic, which never holds for real refinable functions. This fact implies that there exist infinity many different 2-adic orthonormal wavelet bases in ℒ2(ℚ2) generated by the same Haar MRA. All of these new bases are described. We also constructed infinity many different multidimensional 2-adic Haar orthonormal wavelet bases for ℒ2(ℚ2 n ) by means of the tensor product of one-dimensional MRAs. We also study connections between wavelet analysis and spectral analysis of pseudo-differential operators. A criterion for multidimensional p-adic wavelets to be eigenfunctions for a pseudo-differential operator (in the Lizorkin space) is derived. We proved also that these wavelets are eigenfunctions of the Taibleson multidimensional fractional operator. These facts create the necessary prerequisites for intensive using our wavelet bases in applications. Our results related to the pseudo-differential operators develop the investigations started in Albeverio et al. (J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 12(4):393–425, 2006).   相似文献

Let X be an infinite-dimensional Banach space with weight τ. By Cld AW (X), we denote the hyperspace of nonempty closed sets in X with the Attouch—Wets topology. By Fin AW (X), Comp AW (X) and Bdd AW (X), we denote the subspaces of Cld AW (X) consisting of finite sets, compact sets and bounded closed sets, respectively. In this paper, it is proved that Fin AW (X)≈Comp AW (X)≈ℓ2(τ)×ℓ2 f ℓandℓBdd AW (X)≈ℓ2(2τ)×ℓ2 f where ≈ means ‘is homeomorphic to’, ℓ2(τ) is the Hilbert space with weight τ (ℓ2(ℵ0)=ℓ2 the separable Hilbert space) and ℓ2 f ={(x i ) iεN εℓ2x i =0 except for finitely many iεN}.  相似文献

The La0,67Sr0.33Mn03 +δ/Pr0.7Cao.3Mn03+δ/La0.67Sr0.33Mn03+δ(LPL) trilayered films on (100)LaA-1O3 substrates are prepared by using direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering method. The results obtained by means of X-ray powder diffractometer show that all films are the high quality epitaxial films. The results gained by SQUID magnetometer indicate that there is a magnetic coupling in the LPL trilayered films. The resistivities of LSMO, PC-MO and LPL films are measured using standard four-probe method and analyzed logp-1/T curve. From the results it is concluded that the middle-layered PCMO which is ferromagnetic may play a role of intra-magnetic field, which weakens the paramagnetism of LSMO film, lowersp max and enlargesT p which is the transition temperature from metal to insulator, just as the applied magnetic field does. And the middle-layered PCMO may induce the change of the density of states in the LSMO’s gap. The two reasons above make the resistivity andT p of the samples in zero field change with the thickness of PCMO layers. The paper aims at developing a theory of nuclear (in the topological algebraic sense) pro-C*-algebras (which are inverse limits of C*-algebras) by investigating completely positive maps and tensor products. By using the structure of matrix algebras over a pro-C*-algebra, it is shown that a unital continuous linear map between pro-C*-algebrasA andB is completely positive iff by restriction, it defines a completely positive map between the C*-algebrasb(A) andb(B) consisting of all bounded elements ofA andB. In the metrizable case,A andB are homeomorphically isomorphic iff they are matricially order isomorphic. The injective pro-C*-topology α and the projective pro-C*-topology v on A⊗B are shown to be minimal and maximal pro-C*-topologies; and α coincides with the topology of biequicontinous convergence iff eitherA orB is abelian. A nuclear pro-C*-algebraA is one that satisfies, for any pro-C*-algebra (or a C*-algebra)B, any of the equivalent requirements; (i) α =v onA ⊗B (ii)A is inverse limit of nuclear C*-algebras (iii) there is only one admissible pro-C*-topologyon A⊗B (iv) the bounded partb(A) ofA is a nuclear C⊗-algebra (v) any continuous complete state map A→B* can be approximated in simple weak* convergence by certain finite rank complete state maps. This is used to investigate permanence properties of nuclear pro-C*-algebras pertaining to subalgebras, quotients and projective and inductive limits. A nuclearity criterion for multiplier algebras (in particular, the multiplier algebra of Pedersen ideal of a C*-algebra) is developed and the connection of this C*-algebraic nuclearity with Grothendieck’s linear topological nuclearity is examined. A σ-C*-algebraA is a nuclear space iff it is an inverse limit of finite dimensional C*-algebras; and if abelian, thenA is isomorphic to the algebra (pointwise operations) of all scalar sequences.  相似文献

In this paper, we point out that most results on abelian (complex)W *-algebras hold in the real case. Of course, there are differences in homeomorphisms of period 2. Moreover, an abelian real Von Neumann algebra not containing any minimal projection on a separable real Hilbert space is * isomorphic toL τ ([0, 1]) (all real functions inL ([0, 1])), orL ([0, 1]) (as a realW *-algebra), orL τ ([0, 1]) ⋇L ([0, 1]) (as a realW *-algebra), and it is different from the complex case. Given anm-tempered strongly continuous action α of ℝ by continuous*-automorphisms of a Frechet*-algebraA, it is shown that the enveloping ↡-C *-algebraE(S(ℝ, A, α)) of the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,A , α) of the Frechet algebra A of C-elements ofA is isomorphic to the Σ-C *-crossed productC *(ℝ,E(A), α) of the enveloping Σ-C *-algebraE(A) ofA by the induced action. WhenA is a hermitianQ-algebra, one getsK-theory isomorphismRK *(S(ℝ, A, α)) =K *(C *(ℝ,E(A), α) for the representableK-theory of Frechet algebras. An application to the differential structure of aC *-algebra defined by densely defined differential seminorms is given.  相似文献

Let (G, I, N, S) be an affine topological Tits system, and let Γ be a torsion-free cocompact lattice in G. This article studies the coinvariants H 0(Γ; C(Ω,Z)), where Ω is the Furstenberg boundary of G. It is shown that the class [1] of the identity function in H 0(Γ; C(Ω, Z)) has finite order, with explicit bounds for the order. A similar statement applies to the K 0 group of the boundary crossed product C *-algebra C(Ω)Γ. If the Tits system has type ? 2, exact computations are given, both for the crossed product algebra and for the reduced group C *-algebra.  相似文献
