A determination is made of the wave function of an uncharged Dirac particle with an anomalous magnetic moment in a plane-polarized wave and stationary magnetic and electric fields. In this contribution we continue the treatment of the model based on the Hubbard hamiltonian in which the stochastic fields acting at the sites of the atoms can assume arbitrary directions and values due to accepted distribution. The averaging procedure introduced by Brandt and Gross to study the behaviour of the magnetically disordered system is used for a model with stochastically localized magnetic fields, resulting from magnetic moments, at the atomic sites, as previously in I. The coherent potential approximation-like method is employed. The selfconsistency problem is regarded as well as the thermodynamic consequences like density of states, localization function, magnetization, high temperature susceptibility and dc conductivity as functions of temperature are discussed.Supported in part by Polish Academy of Science, Problem MR I. 9. An investigation was made of the process of Raman scattering of polarized electromagnetic radiation by turbulent fluctuations in a plasma with a magnetic field. It was found that a turbulent plasma with a magnetic field scatters left- and right-handed circularly polarized radiation in different ways. The possibility is analyzed of using the results obtained in order to provide diagnostics for different plasma characteristics in thermonuclear fusion devices employing magnetic plasma confinement. We study the generalizations of the well-known Lieb-Thirring inequality for the magnetic Schrödinger operator with nonconstant magnetic field. Our main result is the naturally expected magnetic Lieb-Thirring estimate on the moments of the negative eigenvalues for a certain class of magnetic fields (including even some unbounded ones). We develop a localization technique in path space of the stochastic Feynman-Kac representation of the heat kernel which effectively estimates the oscillatory effect due to the magnetic phase factor.Work supported by the NSF grant PHY90-19433 A02, by the Alfred Sloan Foundation dissertation Fellowship and by the Erwin Schrödinger Institute for Mathematical Physics in Vienna.  相似文献

Attributes of extreme conditions in space and the new properties which plasma acquires in this case are discussed. The discussion is focussed on the features of interaction between plasma and radiation in strong magnetic fields of degenerate stars—white dwarfs or neutron stars. The specific role of cyclotron scattering, radiation pressure at cyclotron frequencies, and vacuum birefringence in the formation of plasma envelopes and the observed spectra of these objects is pointed out. 相较于传统的惯性约束聚变及磁约束聚变,磁化靶聚变技术可能是一种实现纯聚变更低廉更有效的途径。针对中国工程物理研究院流体物理研究所设计的"荧光-1"实验装置,利用二维磁流体力学模拟程序MPF-2D,从理论上详细分析了各实验输入参数(如初始磁场、初始密度、主磁场等)对该装置上反场构形性质的影响。为即将进行的实验推荐了三组实验输入参数:初始磁场0.3T,初始密度7×1015 cm-3,磁镜场-2.0~-1.0T,主磁场-4.0~-3.0T。  相似文献

Generalized coherent states of a multimode field are analyzed within the framework of the dynamic-symmetry approach and with allowance for polarization. A new class of unpolarized two-photon states is defined. The uncertainty relations and statistical and other properties of optical fields in these states are calculated and analyzed. Nonstationary absorption of the energy of a short electromagnetic-radiation pulse in a superdense semibounded plasma is considered. An approach is proposed for finding the electron distribution function, wherein the region of the skin layer (in the anomalous skin-effect regime) is described as a boundary condition for the distribution function over the entire plasma volume. The dynamical behavior of a Chern-Simons-Higgs system is studied for the spatially homogeneous case. The model, described by interacting gauge and scalar fields includes two parity and time violating terms: the Chern-Simons and the scalar magnetic interaction. For the pure Chern-Simons part of the theory the equations of motion are integrable. In general, however, the model system exhibits an interesting pattern of chaos to order transitions as the scalar magnetic moment is varied. It is shown that the electrodynamics of orthogonal magnetic and electric fields can be represented as the dynamics of covariant lines of force. Such a representation is provided for the Lienard-Wichert field of an arbitrary moving charge and the field of a charge that moves uniformly about a circle. The four vector of the electric lines of force is written as the sum of the four vector of the charge and the radius four vector directed along the light cone to the observation point. This vector is a solution of an equation that formally coincides with the equation of motion of the magnetic moment in external fields for a zero intrinsic magnetic moment. The electromagnetic field is reconstructed according to a system of lines that correspond to the total equation of motion of the magnetic moment. The problem of beam formation in a coaxial diode with a tubular cathode of various thicknesses in both infinitely strong and finite isolating magnetic fields is analyzed. A method is developed for the determination of principal beam characteristics on the basis of invariants of the formation problem and preliminary solution of the problem of transport of beams of quasi-homogeneous density with various generalized-momentum vortices. Serial assembly and tests of dipole and quadrupole magnets of the NICA Booster have started at the Laboratory of High Energy Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). The accelerator is fitted with Nuclotron-type magnets with a superconducting winding and an iron yoke for shaping the needed magnetic field. The design of magnets for NICA was optimized (based on the experience gained in constructing and operating the JINR Nuclotron) for the production of magnetic fields of the required configuration in terms of the beam dynamics in the accelerator and the collider. Measurements of parameters of the field of each magnet are expected to be performed in the process of assembly and testing of each module of the magnet-cryostat system of the NICA Booster and Collider. The results of magnetic measurements for the NICA Booster dipole magnet are presented.  相似文献

磁化靶聚变技术作为实现纯聚变的一种途径,不需要惯性约束聚变的高初始密度(约1026cm-3),也不需要磁约束聚变的长约束时间(秒量级),可能是一种实现纯聚变更低廉更有效的途径.开发了一个二维磁流体力学模拟程序MPF-2D,用于描述反场构形的形成过程.采用该程序对美国洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室在反场构形形成装置上形成反场构形的实验进行了二维模拟和分析,理论值与实验值符合得较好;同时也对中国工程物理研究院流体物理研究所设计的"荧光-1"实验装置上形成的反场构形进行了模拟与评估,结果表明该装置上的反场构形基本达到设计指标.  相似文献

The potential and features of holographic diagnostics as applied to different plasma objects are discussed. A source of negative hydrogen ions is constructed at the Institute for High Energy Physics in order to raise the intensity of the U-70 accelerator complex using multiturn charge-exchange injection. The 3D ion-optical IBSimu simulation package was used to model and optimize the system for extraction of an ion beam from plasma, its acceleration to 100 keV, and matching with a radio-frequency quadrupole (RFQ) accelerator. The system of extraction of an ion beam with a current of 50 mA and electron-flow suppression was modeled. The magnetic transport channels with two solenoids and six quadrupole lenses were compared. The end goals of analysis of the matching channel were to obtain the needed Twiss parameters and to minimize the emittance growth at the RFQ input.  相似文献

Helicon plasma sources are known as efficient generators of uniform and high density plasma.A helicon plasma source was developed for the investigation of plasma stripping and plasma lenses at the Institute of Modern Physics, CAS.In this paper, the characteristics of helicon plasma have been studied by using a Langmuir four-probe and a high plasma density up to 3.9×10~(13)/cm~3 has been achieved with the Nagoya type Ⅲ antenna.In the experiment, several important phenomena were found: (1) for a given magnetic induction intensity, the plasma density became greater with the increase of RF power; (2) helicon mode appeared at RF power between 300 W and 400 W; (3) the plasma density gradually tended to saturation as the RF power increased to the higher power; (4) a higher plasma density can be obtained by a good match between the RF power and the magnetic field distribution.The key issue is how to optimize the matching between the RF power and the magnetic field.Moreover, some tests on the extraction of ion beams were performed, and preliminary results are given.The problems which existed in the helicon ion source will be discussed and the increase in beam density will be expected by extraction system optimum.  相似文献
