讨论了连续波线性调频激光雷达系统中声光调制器的设计方法,并给出了具体设计参数。提出应用两个并联驱动且声声沿相反方向传播的声光调制器来补偿由于超声波频率的改变而引起的衍射光方向的偏转,并同时提高了扫频带宽。该器件应用于线性调频激光测距实验中,取得了可信的实验结果。  相似文献

介绍声光效应的最新理论进展。采用光栅假设,对各向同性介质中的声光效应作了简要讨论,导出了第m级衍射光的衍射效率公式。研究和介绍一种新的声光效应实验装置。在实验中,应用线阵CCD光强分布测量仪等,通过改变超声波的频率和功率,分别实现了对激光束方向的控制和强度的调制;定量给出了声光偏转量的关系曲线和声光调制测量的关系曲线。实验表明,在布喇格衍射下,通过固定超声波功率,测量衍射光相对于零级衍射光的相对光强与超声波频率的关系曲线,不仅可以计算声速,还可以确定声光器件的带宽和中心频率。  相似文献

本文介绍了以36°Y切铌酸锂为换能器,以熔石英为声光互作用介质,驱动频率为389。5MHz的声光调制器的设计;计算并选定了换能器的各镀层厚度,研制成了用于激光腔内的中心频率389.5MHz声光脉冲调制器;叙述了该器件在同步泵浦染料激光器腔倒空技术中的应用。实验表明,当驱动平均功率约0.2W时,用该器件所实现的激光腔倒空的倒空比约40%。  相似文献

对LD抽运全光纤声光调Q铒镱共掺杂双包层光纤激光器进行了实验研究.采用两个半导体激光器作为抽运源,利用带尾纤声光调制器作为Q开关,以铒镱共掺杂双包层光纤作为增益介质,以光纤布拉格光栅作为反馈器件,在线形腔结构中,获得了波长1 549.47 nm,谱线半峰全宽0.499 nm的稳定激光脉冲序列.脉冲重复频率1~15 kHz可调,在重复频率1 kHz时,得到最大单脉冲能量209 μJ,平均输出功率209 mW,脉冲宽度约100 ns,脉冲峰值功率2 kW.在不同重复频率下,测量了单脉冲能量和平均功率随入纤功率的变化.  相似文献

本文基于声光频移器,采用光电反馈方式实现了激光强度的稳定控制。根据声光频移器的布拉格衍射对激光强度的调节作用,以光电反馈得到的反馈电信号控制驱动声光频移器的射频功率大小,进而对声光频移器的输出激光强度进行稳定,激光在47 kHz以下的低频噪声实现最大抑制比为15 dB。实验结果基本满足了所要求的激光稳定度。此外还分析了整个回路的响应特性,测试了除反馈电路之外其他部分的相移特性。  相似文献

The emission frequency of a diode laser submitted to a frequency-dependent optoelectronic feedback is observed to have more than one stable operation point together with a stable power emission. This is, to our knowledge, the first observation of bistability exclusively in the frequency of an optical system. The experiment was carried out with a semiconductor laser coupled to the cesium D2 line by an orthogonally polarized frequency-sensitive optical feedback.  相似文献

We report on a thermodielectric bistability in dual frequency nematic liquid crystals (LCs) caused by the anisotropic nature of dielectric heating and director reorientation in an electric field. The bistability is a result of the positive feedback loop: director reorientation --> anisotropic dielectric heating --> dielectric anisotrophy --> director reorientation. We demonstrate both experimentally and theoretically that two states with different temperature and director orientation, namely, a cold planar state and a hot homeotropic state coexist in a LC cell for a certain frequency and amplitude range of the applied voltage.  相似文献

We study third harmonic generation in layered configuration when the fundamental exhibits bistable response. We consider two geometries, namely, a Fabry-Perot cavity with reflection coatings and a distributed feedback structure with alternate nonlinear layers. In both the cases for suitable choice of frequency, the power response at the fundamental frequency is bistable. We show that bistability of the fundamental leads to a multivalued character of the generated third harmonic in both the forward and backward directions. Moreover, we study frequency response in the case of the Fabry-Perot cavity and show that additional structures arise in the generated third harmonic due to frequency bistability of the fundamental. Our calculations suggest the possibility of an all optical switch at third harmonic frequency controlled by the parameters (like intensity, frequency) of the fundamental.  相似文献

In this paper, tunable optical bistability that denotes the relationship between input intensity and output intensity is numerically investigated in the microwave frequency region based on the one-dimensional (1D) sandwich photonic structure consisting of a Kerr-type nonlinear material slab and two magnetized cold plasma layers. Results show that, in the case of TM-polarized electromagnetic wave, width and switching thresholds of the bistability loops are dependent on the working frequency, initial incidence angle, layer thickness, plasma density, and external magnetic field, which should be judiciously selected to obtain a required bistability behavior. Compared to the case of switch-down threshold, the switch-up threshold in the bistability loop is more sensitive to the changes of parameters. Through this study, the suggested 1D sandwich photonic structure is beneficial to the all-optical signal processing.  相似文献

The influence of an external dispersive resonator on the emission properties of a double heterostructure semiconductor laser operating at room temperature has been investigated. The proper design of the external resonator (frequency selectivity and efficient back-coupling of the radiation leaving the diode) demonstrates that a laser with optical feedback can show bistability and hysteresis phenomena. The dispersive bistability has its origin in the dependence of the refractive index on carrier density, temperature and optical power. Hysteresis curves have been measured by changing the injection current or by tuning the dispersive element. We have found a threshold in the injection current for the onset of the hysteretic behaviour. Moreover, a theoretical model has been established to explain the essential features of the experimental results. Hysteresis cycles for different experiments have been calculated.  相似文献

Induced probe-beam modulation in semiconductor-doped glass was observed. The dephasing between pump and probe modulation is dependent on the pump power, the modulation frequency and the selenium concentration. At room temperature, with a proper choice of these parameters, the dephasing can change from 0° (laser-induced clearing) to –180° (laser-induced darkening). A slow switching behaviour and optical bistability without external feedback are also reported.  相似文献

Although one-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystal (1D-NPC) has been widely studied, there is no comprehensive analysis on decreasing the bistability threshold power.In this paper, conditions required to create bistability have been specified for two types of structures of alternative high and low refractive index layers and defect layers with Kerr nonlinearity effect, in the order of (HL)p(D)q(LH)p and (LH)p(D)q(HL)p, where L and H denote low and high refractive index layers, respectively, D stands for the defect layers, p is the number of LH or HL layers and q is the number of defect layers.One of the essentials for the bistability is appropriate shifts of frequency of the defect mode, so the effect of the order of layer's arrangement in (1D-NPC) structures have been studied. Different structures have been introduced and the best structure for the lowest bistability threshold power has been proposed. Nonlinear finite-difference time-domain (NFDTD) in C++ has been employed for simulation.  相似文献

基于垂直腔面发射激光器(VCSEL)的自旋反转模型(SFM),研究了弱光反馈下正交时变光注入VCSEL的双稳特性。研究结果表明,当副激光器(S-VCSEL)受到主激光器(M-VCSEL)正交时变光注入时,弱光反馈的引入不改变正交时变光注入VCSEL的双稳宽度随光注入扫描速率增大而增大的性质;对于确定的光注入扫描速率,随着反馈强度的增大,双稳宽度将变窄;当M-VCSEL与S-VCSEL之间存在频率失谐Δν(等于νm-νs,νm、νs分别为主、副激光器自由运行时的频率)时,随着Δν从负值逐渐增加到正值,双稳宽度总体呈现先减小后增大的趋势,无反馈时在负频区域双稳环宽度呈现的较大波动在引入光反馈后可得到一定程度的抑制。  相似文献

We study the properties of 2D dissipative structures in a coherently driven optical resonator subjected to a delayed feedback. It has been predicted that delayed feedback can lead to the spontaneous motion of bright localized structures [M. Tlidi et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 103, 103904 (2009)]. We study here the phenomenon in detail. In particular, we show that the delayed feedback induces a spontaneous motion of periodic patterns and dark localized structures. We focus our analysis on nascent optical bistability regime where the space time dynamics is described by a variational Swift-Hohenberg equation. In the absence of delayed feedback, dark localized structures and patterns do not move. This behavior occurs when the product of the delay time and the feedback strength exceeds some critical value.  相似文献
