Cochinchinones I-L (1-3 and 13) along with 11 known xanthones (4-12, 14, and 15) were isolated from the resin and green fruits of Cratoxylum cochinchinense. In addition, four new acetylated compounds (16-19) were derivatized from 7-geranyloxy-1,3-dihydroxyxanthone (14) and 3-geranyloxy-1,7-dihydroxyxanthone (15). All compounds were characterized on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. The structures of cochinchinone I (1), a monoacetate (18) and a dibrosylate (20), were also confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of selected compounds were evaluated as well.  相似文献

Three new xanthones, xanthochymones A–C (13), together with six known compounds including two xanthones, three biflavanoids, and one mellein derivative are isolated from the methanol extract of the twigs of Garcinia xanthochymus. Their structures are identified on the basis of their spectroscopic data. Compound 3 displays moderate antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus while compounds 2 and 3 are weakly active against methicillin-resistant S. aureus.  相似文献

Seven phloroglucinols, named parvifoliols A-G (1-7), two depsidones, named parvifolidones A, B (8, 9), and three xanthones, named parvifolixanthones A-C (10-12), were isolated from the twigs of Garcinia parvifolia along with seven known compounds: garcidepsidone B, mangostinone, rubraxanthone, dulxanthone D, 1,3,5,6-tetrahydroxyxanthone, norathyriol, and (2E,6E,10E)-(+)-4β-hydroxy-3-methyl-5β-(3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraenyl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one. Their structures were proposed on the basis of spectroscopic data. The antibacterial and antioxidation activities were evaluated.  相似文献

Nine new steroids, sclerosteroids A-I (1, 5, 6, 8-13), along with 18 known metabolites (2-4, 7, 14-27), were isolated from the soft coral Scleronephthya gracillimum. These structures were elucidated on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configurations of sugar moieties in steroidal glycosides 10-13 were determined by HPLC analysis of the o-tolylthiocarbamate derivatives of the liberated sugars from hydrolysis of these steroidal giycosides. Cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory activities of these compounds were measured in vitro.  相似文献

Three new sesquiterpenes (1-3), along with five known (5-9), were isolated from the organic extract of the red alga Laurencia obtusa, collected from the coastal rocks of Serifos in the Aegean Sea. A new dimeric sesquiterpene of the cyclolaurane-type (4) along with four previously reported (7, 10-12) metabolites, were isolated from the extract of Laurencia microcladia, collected at Chios island in the North Aegean Sea. The structures and the relative stereochemistry of the compounds are proposed on the basis of their spectral data. The cytotoxicity of the isolated metabolites was evaluated against several cell lines including human tumor cell lines.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of the endophytic fungus Diaporthe melonis, isolated from Annona squamosa, yielded two new dihydroanthracenone atropodiastereomers, diaporthemins A (1) and B (2), together with the known flavomannin-6,6′-di-O-methyl ether (3). The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, as well as by high resolution mass spectrometry and by CD spectroscopy. Compounds 13 were tested for their antimicrobial activity against a multi-resistant clinical isolate of Staphylococcus aureus 25697, a susceptible reference strain of S. aureus ATCC 29213 and against Streptococcus pneumoniae ATCC 49619. Compound 3 strongly inhibited S. pneumonia growth with a MIC value of 2 μg/mL, and showed moderate activity against the S. aureus multi-resistant clinical isolate and susceptible reference strain (MIC 32 μg/mL), whereas 1 and 2 were not active against the tested strains.  相似文献

The structures of the new natural products, as well as their relative stereochemistry, were established by means of spectral data analyses, including 2D experiments. The absolute stereochemistry of 2 and 4 as well as the structure revision of the previously reported metabolite 3 were established by X-ray crystallographic analyses. Eleven new cycloartane-type glycosides, named eremophilosides A-K have been isolated from the aerial parts of Astragalus eremophilus. Their structures were elucidated by MS and NMR experiments and the relative configurational analysis of eremophilosides C and D was carried out on the basis of the recently reported J-based method. Additionally, the cytotoxic activity of these compounds in MCF7 and U937 cell lines was evaluated. All tested compounds, except eremophilosides B, C, and J were found to inhibit slightly the growth (controlling the cell cycle) and/or to induce death processes in U937 cell line, the most susceptible cell line. Eremophilosides A and K resulted the most effective to induce cell death, the first by necrosis while the latter by apoptosis.  相似文献

Five novel prenylated polyketides, harrisotones A-E (1-5) representing a rare spirocyclic skeleton, along with a new hydroperoxypolyketide harrisonol A (6), were isolated from the stems and leaves of Harrisonia perforata. The structures of harrisotones A-E (1-5) were extensively elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, especially 2D NMR and CD spectra. A plausible origin of compounds 1-5 was rationalized biogenetically, and traced back to harrisonol A (6). Harrisotones A-C (1-3) and harrisonol A (6) exhibited significant cytotoxicity against P-388 and/or A-549 tumor cell lines.  相似文献

Three new cuparene sesquiterpenes 1-3 were isolated from the organic extract of the red alga Laurencia microcladia, collected at Chios island in the North Aegean Sea, Greece. The structures and the relative stereochemistry of the compounds are proposed on the basis of their spectral data. Metabolite 2 shows an unprecedented (for the cuparene class of sesquiterpenes) migration of the C-1 methyl group. All metabolites 1-3 were found to exhibit significant cytotoxic activity against two lung cancer cell lines.  相似文献

A new polyhydroxylated macrolide, named mangiferaelactone (1) was isolated from a solid culture of the endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis manguiferae, together with ten known compounds [(6S,1′S)-LL-P880α; (6S,1′S,2′R)-LL-P880β; (1′S,2′R)-LL-880γ; (1′R)-dehydropestalotin; (−)-5-carboxylmellein; (−)-5-methylmellein; (−)-5-hydroxylmethylmellein; arabenoic acid; 5,6-dihydro-4-methoxy-2H-pyran-2-one; and the (−)-2-hexylidene-3-methylsuccinic acid]. P. manguiferae was isolated from Hyptis dilatata, a small shrub common in the central region of Panama. The structure of compound 1 was elucidated by a combination of spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, optical rotation, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy). The absolute configuration of 1 was established as 4R,7R,8R,9S by application of vibrational circular dichroism (VCD). Compound 1 showed a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 1.6863 mg/mL against Listeria monocytogenes, and 0.5529 mg/mL against Bacillus cereus. No activity was observed for compound 1 against Plasmodium falciparum or Trypanosoma cruzi; likewise, no cytotoxic activity was observed against A2058 and H522-T1 cells.  相似文献

Three new prenylated butylphloroglucinol derivatives, takaneones A-C (1-3), were isolated from the MeOH extracts of the aerial parts of Hypericum sikokumontanum together with two new prenylated phloroglucinol derivatives, takaneols A and B (4 and 5). The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by exhaustive spectroscopic analysis. The cytotoxicities of the isolated compounds against human cancer cell lines were evaluated. Compounds 2-4 showed cytotoxicities against K562/Adr multi-drug resistant (MDR) cancer cells with IC50 values ranging from 4.7 to 10.0 μg/mL, which were slightly more potent than doxorubicin. Their potency of cytotoxicities against MDR cancer cell lines (KB-C2 and K562/Adr) were similar to those against sensitive cell lines (KB and K562).  相似文献

Ligulasagitins A-E (1-5), five new eremophilane-derived metabolites possibly formed via a Diels-Alder reaction in the biosynthetic process, were isolated from Ligularia sagitta Maxim. Among them 1 and 2 possess a novel C19 skeleton, 4 and 5 are two novel dimeric eremophilane type derivatives. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis and the structure of 2 was also confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Furthermore, 4 and 5 showed weak cytotoxic activity against HL-60 (human promyelocytic leukemia) cells.  相似文献

Chromatographic fractionation of a hexane extract from stem-bark of Premna latifolia yielded three new icetexane diterpenes (1-3). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data, mainly NMR and MS, data. Compounds 1-3 were also evaluated for the cytotoxicity against the cancer cell lines (HT-29, A-431, MCF-7, Hep-G2, PC-3, A-549, B-16 F10 and ACHN). Compounds 1 and 2 displayed potent cytotoxic activity against HT-29 and Hep-G2 cell lines with IC50 values of 0.04 and 0.18 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

Five new polyketide derivatives, 6′-hydroxypestalotiopsone C (1), acropyrone (2), bicytosporone D (3), waol acid (4), and pestalotiopene C (5), together with seven known metabolites (612), were obtained from extracts of the endophytic fungus Acremonium strictum, isolated from the mangrove tree Rhizophora apiculata. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive NMR and MS analysis. Compounds 6, 7, and 9 showed moderate cytotoxic activity against human cisplatin-sensitive (IC50 values 27.1, 76.2, and 8.3 μM, respectively) and resistant A2780 cell lines (IC50 values 12.6, 30.1, and 19.0 μM, respectively), whereas only 9 exhibited antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC value 14.3 μM).  相似文献

Four novel eremophilane-type sesquiterpene lactones, 6β,10α-dihydroxy-1-oxoeremophila-7(11),8(9)-dien-12,8-olide (1), 6β-acetyl-2-oxoeremophila-1(10),7(11), 8(9)-trien-12,8-olide (2), 6β,8β-diacetyl-2-oxoeremophila-1(10),7(11)-dien-12,8-olide (3), dimeric eremophilane ligulolide B (5), and known sesquiterpenoid, 6β,8α-diacetyleremophila-1(10),7(11)-dien-12,8-olide (4), were isolated from an extract of the whole plant of Ligularia virgaurea spp. oligocephala. The structure of 1 was confirmed by NMR spectra and single crystal X-ray crystallography investigation, as well as 2, 3, and 5 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including 1D and 2D NMR spectra. A discussion of biogenesis of 5 was described. Cytotoxicities of compound 1 were measured in vitro against selected cancer cells human promyelocytic leukemia (HL-60), human ovarian (HO-8910) and human lung epithehial (A-549).  相似文献

Neosartorin (1) was isolated from the endophytic fungus Aspergillus fumigatiaffinis. The absolute configuration of 1, including both axial and central chirality elements, was established as (aR,5S,10R,5′S,6′S,10′R) for the first time on the basis of its electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra aided with TDDFT–ECD calculations. Neosartorin (1) exhibited substantial antibacterial activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive bacterial species including staphylococci, streptococci, enterococci, and Bacillus subtilis with minimal inhibitory concentrations in the range of 4–32 μg/mL. When the toxicity of 1 against eukaryotic cells was measured using a panel of different cancer cell lines such as HELA and BALB/3T3, the average IC50 values exceeded 32 μg/mL.  相似文献
