M. Linckelmann defined the cohomology algebras of blocks of finite groups. This note is an attempt to analyze an inclusion of cohomology algebras of blocks that corresponds under Brauer correspondence through transfer maps between the Hochschild cohomology algebras of the blocks.Presented by Jon Carlson.  相似文献

In this note we discuss, in the case of unipotent groups over nonperfect fields k of characteristic p, an analog of a theorem of Steinberg (formely a Serre's conjecture) for unipotent algebraic group schemes, which relates properties of Galois (or flat) cohomology of unipotent group schemes to finite extensions of k of degree divisible by p.  相似文献

If (W,S) is a Coxeter system, then an element of W is a reflection if it is conjugate to some element of S. To each Coxeter system there is an associated Coxeter diagram. A Coxeter system is called reflection preserving if every automorphism of W preserves reflections in this Coxeter system. As a direct application of our main theorem, we classify all reflection preserving even Coxeter systems. More generally, if (W,S) is an even Coxeter system, we give a combinatorial condition on the diagram for (W,S) that determines whether or not two even systems for W have the same set of reflections. If (W,S) is even and (W,S) is not even, then these systems do not have the same set of reflections. A Coxeter group is said to be reflection independent if any two Coxeter systems (W,S) and (W,S) have the same set of reflections. We classify all reflection independent even Coxeter groups.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000). 20F05, 20F55, 20F65, 51F15.  相似文献

§1. Introduction A cohomology complex projective nspace is a smooth, closed, orientable 2nmanifold M2n such that there is a class x∈H2(M; Z) with the property that H*(M; Z)=z[x]/(xn+1). Let i: K2n-1M2n be the inclusion map of a closed, connected, orientable submanifold and d is an integer; we say that the degree of K2n-2 is d, if i*[K] is the Poincaré dual of dx. We always assume that the orientation of K2n-2 is chosen in such a way that d is nonnegative. Let p be a prime number…  相似文献

We compute the rational Betti cohomology groups of the coarse moduli spaces of geometrically marked Del Pezzo surfaces of degree 3 and 4 as representations of the Weyl groups of the corresponding root systems. The proof uses a blend of methods from point counting over finite fields and techniques from arrangement complements.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce and study a cohomology theory {H n (–,A)} for simplicial sets with coefficients in symmetric categorical groups A. We associate to a symmetric categorical group A a sequence of simplicial sets {K(A,n)} n0, which allows us to give a representation theorem for our cohomology. Moreover, we prove that for any n3, the functor K(–,n) is right adjoint to the functor n , where n (X ) is defined as the fundamental groupoid of the n-loop complex n (X ). Using this adjunction, we give another proof of how symmetric categorical groups model all homotopy types of spaces Y with i (Y)=0 for all in,n+1 and n3; and also we obtain a classification theorem for those spaces: [–,Y]H n (–, n (Y)).  相似文献

Dunkl Operators for Complex Reflection Groups   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Dunkl operators for complex reflection groups are defined inthis paper. These commuting operators give rise to a parameterizedfamily of deformations of the polynomial De Rham complex. Thisleads to the study of the polynomial ring as a module over the‘rational Cherednik algebra’, and a natural contravariantform on this module. In the case of the imprimitive complexreflection groups G(m, p, N), the set of singular parametersin the parameterized family of these structures is describedexplicitly, using the theory of non-symmetric Jack polynomials.2000 Mathematical Subject Classification: 20F55 (primary), 52C35,05E05, 33C08 (secondary).  相似文献

The result of this paper is the determination of the cohomology of Artin groups of type and with non-trivial local coefficients. The main result

is an explicit computation of the cohomology of the Artin group of type with coefficients over the module Here the first standard generators of the group act by -multiplication, while the last one acts by -multiplication. The proof uses some technical results from previous papers plus computations over a suitable spectral sequence. The remaining cases follow from an application of Shapiro's lemma, by considering some well-known inclusions: we obtain the rational cohomology of the Artin group of affine type as well as the cohomology of the classical braid group with coefficients in the -dimensional representation presented in Tong, Yang, and Ma (1996). The topological counterpart is the explicit construction of finite CW-complexes endowed with a free action of the Artin groups, which are known to be spaces in some cases (including finite type groups). Particularly simple formulas for the Euler-characteristic of these orbit spaces are derived.

Abstract

Let Σ be an orientable surface. We generalise Fenn–Rolfsen–Zhu's results on centralisers of singular braids on the disk to singular braids on Σ. As a corollary, we derive a simple and geometric proof of the fact that the word problem is solvable in the monoid of singular braids on n strands on Σ.  相似文献

In this work, we study the special properties of the equivariant singular cohomology of a G-space X, where G is a totally disconnected, locally compact group. We prove that any short exact sequence of coefficient systems for G, over a ring R, gives a long exact sequence of the associated equivariant singular cohomology modules. We establish the relationship between the ordinary singular cohomology modules and the equivariant singular cohomology modules with the natural contravariant coefficient system. Moreover, under some conditions, we give an isomorphism of the equivariant singular cohomology modules of the G-space X onto the ordinary singular cohomology modules of the orbit space X/G.  相似文献

Let G be a connected noncompact semisimple Lie group with finite center, K a maximal compact subgroup, and X a compact manifold (or more generally, a Borel space) on which G acts. Assume that ν is a μ -stationary measure on X, where μ is an admissible measure on G, and that the G-action is essentially free. We consider the foliation of K\ X with Riemmanian leaves isometric to the symmetric space K\ G, and the associated tangential bounded de-Rham cohomology, which we show is an invariant of the action. We prove both vanishing and nonvanishing results for bounded tangential cohomology, whose range is dictated by the size of the maximal projective factor G/Q of (X, ν). We give examples showing that the results are often best possible. For the proofs we formulate a bounded tangential version of Stokes’ theorem, and establish a bounded tangential version of Poincaré’s Lemma. These results are made possible by the structure theory of semisimple Lie groups actions with stationary measure developed in Nevo and Zimmer [Ann of Math. 156, 565--594]. The structure theory assert, in particular, that the G-action is orbit equivalent to an action of a uniquely determined parabolic subgroup Q. The existence of Q allows us to establish Stokes’ and Poincaré’s Lemmas, and we show that it is the size of Q (determined by the entropy) which controls the bounded tangential cohomology. De Rham Cohomology and Hodge Decomposition For Quantum Groups   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let be one of the N2-dimensionalbicovariant first order differential calculi for the quantumgroups GLq(N), SLq(N), SOq(N), or Spq(N), where q is a transcendentalcomplex number and z is a regular parameter. It is shown thatthe de Rham cohomology of Woronowicz' external algebra coincides with the de Rham cohomologiesof its left-coinvariant, its right-coinvariant and its (two-sided)coinvariant subcomplexes. In the cases GLq(N) and SLq(N) thecohomology ring is isomorphic to the coinvariant external algebra and to the vector space of harmonic forms. We prove a Hodge decomposition theorem in thesecases. The main technical tool is the spectral decompositionof the quantum Laplace-Beltrami operator. 2000 MathematicalSubject Classification: 46L87, 58A12, 81R50.  相似文献
