The time-dependent SDE dX t = b(t, X t)dZ t with X 0 = x 0 ∈ ℝ, and a symmetric α-stable process Z, 1 < α ⩽ 2, is considered. We study the existence of nonexploding solutions of the given equation through the existence of solutions of the equation in class of time change processes, where is a symmetric stable process of the same index α as Z. The approach is based on using the time change method, Krylov’s estimates for stable integrals, and properties of monotone convergence. The main existence result extends the results of Pragarauskas and Zanzotto (2000) for 1 < α < 2 and those of T. Senf (1993) for α = 2. In this paper, we consider the Markov process (X^∈(t), Z^∈(t)) corresponding to a weakly coupled elliptic PDE system with a small parameter ∈ 〉 0. We first prove that (X^∈(t), Z^∈(t)) has the Feller continuity by the coupling method, and then prove that (X^∈(t), Z^∈(t)) has an invariant measure μ^∈(·) by the Foster-Lyapunov inequality. Finally, we establish a large deviations principle for μ^∈(·) as the small parameter e tends to zero.  相似文献

We consider the α-stable Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process in with the generator . We show that if 2 > α ≥ 1 or α < 1 = d the Harnack inequality holds. For α < 1 < d we construct a counterexample that shows that the Harnack inequality does not hold. Partially supported by KBN and MEN.  相似文献

Characterizations and Extensions of Lipschitz-α Operators   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this work, we prove that a map F from a compact metric space K into a Banach space X over F is a Lipschitz-α operator if and only if for each σ in X^* the map σoF is a Lipschitz-α function on K. In the case that K = [a, b], we show that a map f from [a, b] into X is a Lipschitz-1 operator if and only if it is absolutely continuous and the map σ→ (σ o f)' is a bounded linear operator from X^* into L^∞([a, b]). When K is a compact subset of a finite interval (a, b) and 0 〈 α ≤ 1, we show that every Lipschitz-α operator f from K into X can be extended as a Lipschitz-α operator F from [a, b] into X with Lα(f) ≤ Lα(F) ≤ 3^1-α Lα(f). A similar extension theorem for a little Lipschitz-α operator is also obtained.  相似文献

 Subordination of a killed Brownian motion in a bounded domain D⊂ℝ d via an α/2-stable subordinator gives a process Z t whose infinitesimal generator is −(−Δ| D )α/2, the fractional power of the negative Dirichlet Laplacian. In this paper we study the properties of the process Z t in a Lipschitz domain D by comparing the process with the rotationally invariant α-stable process killed upon exiting D. We show that these processes have comparable killing measures, prove the intrinsic ultracontractivity of the generator of Z t , prove the intrinsic ultracontractivity of the semigroup of Z t , and, in the case when D is a bounded C 1,1 domain, obtain bounds on the Green function and the jumping kernel of Z t . Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

Consider an arbitrary transient random walk on ℤ d with d∈ℕ. Pick α∈[0,∞), and let L n (α) be the spatial sum of the αth power of the n-step local times of the walk. Hence, L n (0) is the range, L n (1)=n+1, and for integers α, L n (α) is the number of the α-fold self-intersections of the walk. We prove a strong law of large numbers for L n (α) as n→∞. Furthermore, we identify the asymptotic law of the local time in a random site uniformly distributed over the range. These results complement and contrast analogous results for recurrent walks in two dimensions recently derived by Černy (Stoch. Proc. Appl. 117:262–270, 2007). Although these assertions are certainly known to experts, we could find no proof in the literature in this generality.   相似文献

We establish a functional LIL for the maximal process M(t) :=sup 0≤st X(s)‖ of an ℝ d -valued α-stable Lévy process X, provided X(1) has density bounded away from zero over some neighborhood of the origin. We also provide a broad invariance result governing a class independent-increment processes related to the domain of attraction of X(1). This breadth is particularly notable for two types of processes captured: First, it not only describes any partial sum process built from iid summands in the domain of normal attraction of X(1), but also addresses those with arbitrary iid summands in the full domain of attraction (here we give a technical condition necessary and sufficient for the partial sum process to share the exact LIL we prove for X). Second, it reveals that any Lévy process L such that L(1) satisfies the technical condition just mentioned will also share the LIL of X. Supported in part by NSF Grant DMS 02-05034.  相似文献

A one-term Edgeworth expansion for U-statistics with kernel h(x, y) was derived by Jing and Wang [3] under optimal moment conditions. In this note, we show that one of the optimal moment conditions E| h(X 1, X 2|5/3 < ∞ can be weakened to lim t→∞ t 5/3 P(|h(X 1, X 2)| > t) → 0. A b-coloring of a graph is a coloring such that every color class admits a vertex adjacent to at least one vertex receiving each of the colors not assigned to it. The b-chromatic number of a graph G, denoted by χ b (G), is the maximum number t such that G admits a b-coloring with t colors. A graph G is b-continuous if it admits a b-coloring with t colors, for every . We define a graph G to be b-monotonic if χ b (H 1) ≥ χ b (H 2) for every induced subgraph H 1 of G, and every induced subgraph H 2 of H 1. In this work, we prove that P 4-sparse graphs (and, in particular, cographs) are b-continuous and b-monotonic. Besides, we describe a dynamic programming algorithm to compute the b-chromatic number in polynomial time within these graph classes. We show that in an unsteady Poiseuille flow of a Navier–Stokes fluid in an infinite straight pipe of constant cross-section, σ, the flow rate, F(t), and the axial pressure drop, q(t), are related, at each time t, by a linear Volterra integral equation of the second type, where the kernel depends only upon t and σ. One significant consequence of this result is that it allows us to prove that the inverse parabolic problem of finding a Poiseuille flow corresponding to a given F(t) is equivalent to the resolution of the classical initial-boundary value problem for the heat equation. To understand well the global behavior of the bifurcation branch in R + × L 2(I), we establish the precise asymptotic formula for λ(α), which is associated with eigenfunction u α with ‖ u α2 = α, as α → ∞. It is shown that if for some constant p > 1 the function h(u) ≔ f(u)/u p satisfies adequate assumptions, including a slow growth at ∞, then λ(α) ∼ α p−1 h(α) as α → ∞ and the second term of λ(α) as α → ∞ is determined by lim u → ∞ uh′(u). We consider a general linear model , where the innovations Zt belong to the domain of attraction of an α-stable law for α<2, so that neither Zt nor Xt have a finite variance. We do not assume that (Xt) is a standardARMA process of the form φ(B)Xt=ϕ(B)Zt, but we fit anARMA process of a given order to the data X1,...,Xn by estimating the coefficients of φ and ϕ. Given that (Xt) is anARMA process, it has been proved that the Whittle estimator is a consistent estimator of the true coefficients of ϕ and φ. Moreover, it then has a heavytailed limit distribution and the rate of convergence is (n/logn)1/α, which compares favorably with the L2 situation with rate . In this note we study the limit properties of the Whittle estimator when the underlying model is not necessarily anARMA process. Under general conditions we show that the Whittle estimate converges in probability. It converges weakly to a distribution which does not have a finite moment of order a and the rate of convergence is again (n/logn)1/α. We also give an analytic expression for the limit distribution. We obtain the C α regularity for weak solutions of a class of non-homogeneous ultraparabolic equation, with measurable coefficients. The result generalizes our recent C α regularity results of homogeneous ultraparabolic equations. On the basis of the concept of the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets introduced by K. Atanassov, the notion of interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy Hv-submodules of an Hv-module with respect to a t-norm T and an s-norm S is given and the characteristic properties are described. The homomorphic image and the inverse image are investigated. In particular, the connections between interval valued intuitionistic (S, T)-fuzzy Hv-submodules and interval valued intuitionistic (S, T)-fuzzy submodules are discussed.  相似文献
