In this paper, the chaotic synchronization of the Duffing oscillator and controlled pendulum is investigated. From the analytical conditions developed in [1], the partial and full synchronizations of the controlled pendulum with chaotic motions in the Duffing oscillator are discussed. Compared with the periodic synchronization, in the chaotic synchronization, switching points for appearance and vanishing of the partial synchronization are chaotic. The control parameter map for the synchronization is developed from the analytical conditions, and the partial and full synchronizations are illustrated to show the analytical conditions. This synchronization is different from the controlled Duffing oscillator synchronizing with chaotic motion in the periodically excited pendulum. For a better understanding of synchronization characteristics between two different dynamical systems, effects with other parameters will be discussed later.  相似文献

In this paper, periodic and chaotic synchronizations between two distinct dynamical systems under specific constraints are investigated from the theory of discontinuous dynamical systems. The analytical conditions for the sinusoidal synchronization of the pendulum and Duffing oscillator were obtained, and the invariant domain of sinusoidal synchronization is achieved. From analytical conditions, the control parameter map is developed. Numerical illustrations for partial and full sinusoidal synchronizations of chaotic and periodic motions of the controlled pendulum with the Duffing oscillator are carried out. This paper presents how to apply the theory of discontinuous dynamical systems to dynamical system synchronization with specific constraints. The function synchronization of two distinct dynamical systems with specific constraints should be identified only by G-functions. The significance of function synchronization of distinct dynamical systems is to make the synchronicity behaviors hidden, which is very useful for telecommunication synchronization and network security.  相似文献

In this paper, synchronization dynamics of two different dynamical systems is investigated through the theory of discontinuous dynamical systems. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the synchronization, de-synchronization and instantaneous synchronization (penetration or grazing) are presented. Using such a synchronization theory, the synchronization of a controlled pendulum with the Duffing oscillator is systematically discussed as a sampled problem, and the corresponding analytical conditions for the synchronization are presented. The synchronization parameter study is carried out for a better understanding of synchronization characteristics of the controlled pendulum and the Duffing oscillator. Finally, the partial and full synchronizations of the controlled pendulum with periodic and chaotic motions are presented to illustrate the analytical conditions. The synchronization of the Duffing oscillator and pendulum are investigated in order to show the usefulness and efficiency of the methodology in this paper. The synchronization invariant domain is obtained. The technique presented in this paper should have a wide spectrum of applications in engineering. For example, this technique can be applied to the maneuvering target tracking, and the others.  相似文献

In this paper, bifurcation trees of periodic motions in a periodically forced, time-delayed, hardening Duffing oscillator are analytically predicted by a semi-analytical method. Such a semi-analytical method is based on the differential equation discretization of the time-delayed, nonlinear dynamical system. Bifurcation trees for the stable and unstable solutions of periodic motions to chaos in such a time-delayed, Duffing oscillator are achieved analytically. From the finite discrete Fourier series, harmonic frequency-amplitude curves for stable and unstable solutions of period-1 to period-4 motions are developed for a better understanding of quantity levels, singularity and catastrophes of harmonic amplitudes in the frequency domain. From the analytical prediction, numerical results of periodic motions in the time-delayed, hardening Duffing oscillator are completed. Through the numerical illustrations, the complexity and asymmetry of period-1 motions to chaos in nonlinear dynamical systems are strongly dependent on the distributions and quantity levels of harmonic amplitudes. With the quantity level increases of specific harmonic amplitudes, effects of the corresponding harmonics on the periodic motions become strong, and the certain complexity and asymmetry of periodic motion and chaos can be identified through harmonic amplitudes with higher quantity levels.  相似文献

The analytical conditions for motion switchability on the switching boundary in a periodically forced, discontinuous system are developed through the G-function of the vector fields to the switching boundary. Periodic motions in such a discontinuous dynamical system are discussed by the use of mapping structures. Two periodic motions and the analytical conditions are presented for illustration. Further investigation should be carried out for a better understanding of the vanishing and stability of regular and chaotic motions.  相似文献

This paper presents the switchability of a flow from one domain into another one in the periodically forced, discontinuous dynamical system. The inclined line boundary in phase space is used for the dynamical system to switch. The normal vector field product for flow switching on the separation boundary is introduced. The passability condition of a flow to the separation boundary is achieved through such a normal vector field product, and the sliding and grazing conditions to the separation boundary are presented as well. Using mapping structures, periodic motions in such a discontinuous system are predicted analytically, and the corresponding local stability and bifurcation analysis are carried out. With the analytical conditions of grazing and sliding motions, the parameter maps of specific motions are developed. Illustrations of periodic and chaotic motions are given, and the normal vector fields are presented to show the analytical criteria. This investigation may help one better understand the sliding mode control. The methodology presented in this paper can be applied to discontinuous, nonlinear systems.  相似文献

The discontinuous dynamics of a non-linear, friction-induced, periodically forced oscillator is studied. The analytical conditions for motion switchability at the velocity boundary in such a nonlinear oscillator are developed to understand the motion switching mechanism. Using such analytical conditions of motion switching, numerical predictions of the switching scenarios varying with excitation frequency and amplitude are carried out, and the parameter maps for specific periodic motions are presented. Chaotic and periodic motions are illustrated through phase planes and switching sections for a better understanding of motion mechanism of the nonlinear friction oscillator. The periodic motions with switching in such a nonlinear, frictional oscillator cannot be obtained from the traditional analysis (e.g., perturbation and harmonic balance method).  相似文献

This paper deals with the synchronization of two coupled identical chaotic systems with parameter mismatch via using periodically intermittent control. In general, parameter mismatches are considered to have a detrimental effect on the synchronization quality between coupled identical systems: in the case of small parameter mismatches the synchronization error does not decay to zero or even a nonzero mean. Larger values of parameter mismatches can even result in the loss of synchronization. via intermittent control with periodically intervals, we can obtain the weak synchronization. Some sufficient conditions for the stabilization and weak synchronization of a large class of coupled identical chaotic systems will be derived by using Lyapunov stability theory. The analytical results are confirmed by numerical simulations.  相似文献

This paper investigates the fundamental dynamical mechanism responsible for transition to chaos in periodically modulated Duffing–Van der Pol oscillator. It is shown that a modulationally unstable pattern appears into an initially stable motionless state. A further spatiotemporal transition occurs with a sharp interface from the selected stable pattern to a stabilized pattern or chaotic state. Also, the synchronization of the chaotic state of the model is investigated. The results are discussed in the context of generalized synchronization. The main idea is to construct an augmented dynamical system from the synchronization error system, which is itself uncertain. The advantage of this method over existing results is that the synchronization time is explicitly computed. Numerical simulations are provided to verify the operation of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

Using finite time control techniques, continuous state feedback control laws are developed to solve the synchronization problem of two chaotic systems. We demonstrate that these two chaotic systems can be synchronized in finite time. Examples of Duffing systems, Lorenz systems are presented to verify our method.  相似文献

In this paper, a simple nonlinear controller is applied to investigate the generalized projective synchronization for a controlled chaotic gyroscope with a periodic gyroscope dynamical system. The necessary and sufficient conditions for generalized projective synchronization are developed through the theory of discontinuous dynamical systems. The synchronization invariant domain from the synchronization conditions is presented. The parameter maps are explored for a better understanding of the synchronicity of two gyroscopes with different motions. Finally, the partial and full generalized projective synchronizations of two nonlinear coupled gyroscope systems are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamics of an inclined impact oscillator under periodic excitation are investigated using the flow switchability theory of the discontinuous dynamical systems. Different domains and boundaries for such system are defined according to the impact discontinuity. Based on above domains and boundaries, the analytical conditions of the stick motions and grazing motions for the inclined impact oscillator are obtained mathematically, from which it can be seen that such oscillator has more complicated and rich dynamical behaviors. The numerical simulations are given to illustrate the analytical results of complex motions, and several period-1 motions period-2 motion and chaotic motion of the ball in the inclined impact oscillator are also presented. There are more theories about such impact pair to be discussed in future.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the synchronization of chaotic systems consisting of non-identical parametrically excited oscillators. The active control technique is employed to design control functions based on Lyapunov stability theory and Routh–Hurwitz criteria so as to achieve global chaos synchronization between a parametrically excited gyroscope and each of the parametrically excited pendulum and Duffing oscillator. Numerical simulations are implemented to verify the results.  相似文献

The stability of the motion of an oscillator with a periodically time-varying mass is under consideration. The key idea is that an adequate change of variables leads to a newtonian equation, where classical stability techniques can be applied: Floquet theory for the linear oscillator, KAM method in the nonlinear case. To illustrate this general idea, first we have generalized the results of [W.T. van Horssen, A.K. Abramian, Hartono, On the free vibrations of an oscillator with a periodically time-varying mass, J. Sound Vibration 298 (2006) 1166–1172] to the forced case; second, for a weakly forced Duffing’s oscillator with variable mass, the stability in the nonlinear sense is proved by showing that the first twist coefficient is not zero.  相似文献

A methodology for the local singularity of non-smooth dynamical systems is systematically presented in this paper, and a periodically forced, piecewise linear system is investigated as a sample problem to demonstrate the methodology. The sliding dynamics along the separation boundary are investigated through the differential inclusion theory. For this sample problem, a perturbation method is introduced to determine the singularity of the sliding dynamics on the separation boundary. The criteria for grazing bifurcation are presented mathematically and numerically. The grazing flows are illustrated numerically. This methodology can be very easily applied to predict grazing motions in other non-smooth dynamical systems. The fragmentation of the strange attractors of chaotic motion will be presented in the second part of this work.  相似文献

In this paper, sliding and transversal motions on the boundary in the periodically driven, discontinuous dynamical system is investigated. The simple inclined straight line boundary in phase space is considered as a control law for such a dynamical system to switch. The normal vector field for a flow switching on the separation boundary is adopted to develop the analytical conditions, and the corresponding transversality conditions of a flow to the boundary are obtained. The conditions of sliding and grazing flows to the separation boundary are presented as well. Using mapping structures, periodic motions of such a discontinuous system are predicted, and the corresponding local stability and bifurcation analysis of the periodic motion are carried out. Numerical illustrations of periodic motions with and without sliding on the boundary are given. The local stability analysis cannot provide the proper prediction of the sliding and grazing motions in discontinuous dynamical systems. Therefore, the normal vector fields of periodic flows are presented, and the normal vector fields on the switching boundary points give the analytical criteria for sliding and transversality of motions.  相似文献

This work deals mainly with the problem of recovering all unknown parameters for a class of time-variant chaotic dynamical systems from given time sequence. Based on synchronization between a chaotic sender system and an additional receiver system, a procedure, which combines a linear feedback technique with updated feedback gain and an adapted control strategy associated with the law of estimated parameters, is developed to dynamically determine the values of unknown parameters contained in the sender system. To promote widespread applications, the structure of the receiver system can be independent of that of the sender system. The effectiveness of this procedure is guaranteed by the periodic version of the classical LaSalle invariance principle of differential equations. Illustrations are presented for a harmonically excited Duffing oscillator and a four dimensional chaotic oscillator. The numerical results reveal the present procedure not only can precisely recover unknown model parameters, but also can rapidly response to sudden changes in unknown parameters. In addition, it has great robustness against the disturbance of noise.  相似文献

We study general dynamical and topological behaviors of minimal sets in skew-product circle flows in both continuous and discrete settings, with particular attentions paying to almost periodically forced circle flows. When a circle flow is either discrete in time and unforced (i.e., a circle map) or continuous in time but periodically forced, behaviors of minimal sets are completely characterized by classical theory. The general case involving almost periodic forcing is much more complicated due to the presence of multiple forcing frequencies, the topological complexity of the forcing space, and the possible loss of mean motion property. On one hand, we will show that to some extent behaviors of minimal sets in an almost periodically forced circle flow resemble those of Denjoy sets of circle maps in the sense that they can be almost automorphic, Cantorian, and everywhere non-locally connected. But on the other hand, we will show that almost periodic forcing can lead to significant topological and dynamical complexities on minimal sets which exceed the contents of Denjoy theory. For instance, an almost periodically forced circle flow can be positively transitive and its minimal sets can be Li-Yorke chaotic and non-almost automorphic. As an application of our results, we will give a complete classification of minimal sets for the projective bundle flow of an almost periodic, sl(2,R)-valued, continuous or discrete cocycle.Continuous almost periodically forced circle flows are among the simplest non-monotone, multi-frequency dynamical systems. They can be generated from almost periodically forced nonlinear oscillators through integral manifolds reduction in the damped cases and through Mather theory in the damping-free cases. They also naturally arise in 2D almost periodic Floquet theory as well as in climate models. Discrete almost periodically forced circle flows arise in the discretization of nonlinear oscillators and discrete counterparts of linear Schrödinger equations with almost periodic potentials. They have been widely used as models for studying strange, non-chaotic attractors and intermittency phenomena during the transition from order to chaos. Hence the study of these flows is of fundamental importance to the understanding of multi-frequency-driven dynamical irregularities and complexities in non-monotone dynamical systems.  相似文献

The criterion for grazing motions in a dry-friction oscillator is obtained from the local theory of non-smooth dynamical systems on the connectable and accessible domains. The generic mappings for such a dry-friction oscillator are also introduced. The sufficient and necessary conditions for grazing at the final states of mappings are expressed. The initial and final switching sets of grazing mapping, varying with system parameters, are illustrated for the grazing parametric characteristics. The initial and grazing, switching manifolds in the switching sets are defined through grazing mappings. Finally, numerical illustrations of grazing motions are very easily carried out with help of the analytical predictions. This paper provides a comprehensive investigation of grazing motions in the dry-friction oscillator for a better understanding of the grazing mechanism of such a discontinuous system. The investigation based on the local singularity theory is more intuitive and efficient than the discontinuous mapping techniques.  相似文献

In this paper, a simple adaptive feedback control is proposed for full and reduced-order synchronization of time-varying and strictly uncertain chaotic systems. Our method uses only one feedback gain with parameter adaptation law and converges very fast even in the presence of noise. For full synchronization, a drive-response system consisting of two second-order identical parametrically excited oscillators achieve global synchronization; while for reduced-order synchronization, the dynamical evolution of a second-order parametrically driven oscillator is synchronized with the projection of a third-order time-varying chaotic system. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated using numerical simulations.  相似文献
