Two d10 group 12 metal complexes, 2-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline zinc dichloride (2a) and 2-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline mercury dichloride (2b) were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H and 13C NMR as well as elemental analysis. Structure of 2b in the solid state was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, revealing that 2b is four-coordinate in a distorted tetrahedral geometry with the methoxy group uncoordinated. Luminescent properties of 2a and 2b in solution and the solid state were studied.  相似文献

The saccharinato complexes [Zn(phen)2(sac)(H2O)]sac (1) and [Zn(sac)(dmp)(H2O)](sac) (2), where phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, dmp = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, and sac =saccharinato ion/ligand, were synthesized by the reaction of [Zn(sac)2(H2O)4] · 2H2O with ligands and have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopies. Conductivity of complexes was measured in DMSO. Compound 1 is characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and compared with some isomorphous zinc-saccharinate complexes reported previously. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P 1 , with Z = 2, and consists of alternating slightly distorted octahedral [Zn(phen)2(sac)(H2O)]+ and noncoordinated saccharinate. The zinc bound aqua is hydrogen bonded to an oxygen of carbonyl in the saccharinate ligand and the SO2 group in the saccharinate counter-ion from an adjacent molecule. Intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonds and C–H ··· O and C–H ··· N short contacts lead to a 3-D network.  相似文献

A Cu(II) complex with mixed ligands, [Cu3(mal)3(phen)3(H2O)2]?·?11H2O (mal?=?malonate, phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and luminescence spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group Cc with a?=?13.1631(10)?Å, b?=?20.1089(10)?Å, c?=?20.1267(13)?Å, β?=?103.500(3)°, V?=?5180.2(6)?Å3, Z?=?4, and R 1?=?0.0476 for 7993 observed reflections. In the complex, one Cu is coordinated by a mal dianion and a phen molecule, exhibiting N2O2 square-planar geometry, while the other two Cu atoms are coordinated, respectively, by a mal dianion, a phen and water molecules, exhibiting N2O3 square pyramidal coordination geometry.  相似文献

In the present study three new imidazole derivatives of phen, 2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenyl) imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline L1, 2-(2-hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenyl)imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline L2, 2-(4-hydroxy-5-iodo-3-methoxyphenyl)imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline L3 and their nine new polypyridine complexes[M(N–N)2(L1–3)](OAc)2·(nH2O) where M is Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) and where (N–N)2 is 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy)2 or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen)2 have been synthesized from the reaction of the metal precursor complexes [M(phen)2(OAc)2]·(nH2O) and [M(bpy)2(OAc)2]·(nH2O) with the respective ligands in ethanol and water. The structures of the compounds were determined with the aid of elemental analysis and FT-IR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR, ESR spectroscopic methods, magnetic measurements and conductance measurements, further analyzed by powder XRD and thermal studies. Elemental analysis data suggested that the complexes have a 1:2:1 molar ratio among the metal and phen or bpy and L1/L2 or L3 ligands. The spectral data show that all the complexes were six coordinated and possess octahedral geometry around the metal ions. The X-band ESR spectrum of the Cu(II) in DMSO solution at room temperature was recorded and observed anisotropic g values indicate the presence of metal ion in an octahedral environment. The powder XRD patterns of complexes recorded in the range (2θ = 0–80°) and average crystallite size (dXRD) was calculated using Scherrer’s formula. Thermal decomposition profiles of complexes show high decompound temperatures indicating a good thermal stability. Binding of the complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT DNA) has been investigated by gel electrophoresis. The experimental results indicate that the complexes bind to DNA by intercalation mode and found to promote cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from the supercoiled form I to the open circular form II upon irradiation.  相似文献

The kinetics of chromium(III) catalyzed oxidation of 1,10-phenanthroline by permanganate in alkaline medium at a constant ionic strength has been studied spectrophotometrically. The reaction between permanganate and 1,10-phenanthroline in alkaline medium exhibits 4:1 stoichiometry (KMnO4:1,10-phenanthroline). The reaction shows first order dependence on [permanganate] and [chromium(III)] and less than unit order dependence in 1,10-phenanthroline, zero order in alkali concentrations. The results suggest the formation of a complex between the 1,10-phenanthroline and the chromium(III) which reacts further with one mole of permanganate species in the rate-determining step, resulting in the formation of a free radical, which again reacts with three moles of permangante species in a subsequent fast step to yield the products. The reaction constants involved in the mechanism were evaluated. The activation parameters were computed with respect to the slow step of the mechanism. This revised version was published online in December 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

An on-line solid phase extraction (SPE) preconcentration system coupled to flame atomic absorption spectrometer (FAAS) was developed for determination of copper and cadmium at μg L−1 level. The method is based on the on-line retention of copper and cadmium on a microcolumn of alumina modified with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and 1,10-phenanthroline and subsequent elution with ethanol and determination by FAAS. The effect of chemical and flow variables that could affect the performance of the system was investigated. The relative standard deviation (n = 6) at 20 μg L−1 level for copper and cadmium were 1.4 and 2.2% and the corresponding limits of detection (based on 3σ) were 0.04 and 0.14 μg L−1, respectively. The method was successfully applied to determination of copper and cadmium in human hair and water samples.  相似文献

A ternary copper(II) complex, [Cu(phen)(L-Gly)(H2O)] ·?NO3 ·?1.5H2O (phen =?1,10-phenanthroline, L-Gly =?L-glycine), has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complex crystallized in a monoclinic system with space group C2/c, a =?20.572(3) Å, b =?6.9987(10) Å, c =?23.561(3) Å, β?= 98.776(5)°. The five-coordinate copper(II) center is a distorted square pyramid. Absorption spectra, fluorescence spectra and viscosity measurements showed interaction between the copper complex and DNA through an intercalative mode. The complex exhibited efficient DNA cleavage activity at micromolar concentration in the presence of ascorbate with hydroxyl radicals as the active species.  相似文献

A mixed ligand complex of Cu(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline and succinate has been synthesized from the reaction of hydrated copper nitrate, succinate, and 1,10-phenanthroline. The nature of bonding and the structure of the complex were characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectrum, TGA/DTA, and X-ray diffraction. The crystal crystallizes in triclinic space group P 1. The complex is polymeric and the geometry around each copper varies from square planar to distorted square pyramidal or octahedral. Each copper coordinates two oxygens of succinate and two nitrogens of 1,10-phenanthroline. The thermal decomposition of the complex has also been studied by TGA and DTA under inert atmosphere.  相似文献

The title complexes, (C12H8N2) ? [La(C7H3NO5)(C7H4NO5) ? 3H2O] ? 1.75H2O (1), (C12H8N2) ? [Pr(C7H3NO5)(C7H4NO5) ? 3H2O] ? 2H2O (2), (C12H8N2)[Nd(C7H3NO5)(C7H4NO5) ? 3H2O] ? 2.25H2O (3), and (C12H8N2) ? [Fe(C7H3NO5)(C7H4NO5)] ? 2H2O (4), were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structures of 13 reveal that they are isomorphous, among which the metal atoms are all nine-coordinate with distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic coordination geometries. The Fe is six-coordinate with a distorted octahedron by two chelidamic acid ligands in 4. Complexes 14 are formed into 3-D networks by H-bonds and π–π stacking interactions. The fluorescence spectra of 13 were investigated and all exhibit strong luminescence.  相似文献

Lanthanum(III) and europium(III) complexes of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) with 5-nitroisophthalate, [La(phen)(HNip)(Nip)] n (1) and [Eu(phen)(HNip)(Nip)] n (2), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy and studied by X-ray crystallography. The single crystal X-ray analyses show that both lanthanum(III) and europium(III) are coordinated by two nitrogens of phen and six oxygens from “Nip2?” and “HNip?”, resulting in a distorted square antiprism.  相似文献

A series of cobalt(II) complexes containing 2-imino-1,10-phenanthrolines have been synthesized and characterized by elemental and spectroscopic analysis. The molecular structures of complexes 2, 3, 8 and 14 were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. On treatment with methylaluminoxane (MAO) or modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO), these cobalt(II) complexes show moderate to high catalytic activities for ethylene oligomerization and butene predominates among the oligomers produced. The parameters of the reaction conditions and the effects of the ligands environment were investigated. To cite this article: S. Jie et al. C. R. Chimie 9 (2006).  相似文献

A family of acyclic aza-bridged bis-1,10-phenanthroline compounds has been synthesized in a convenient way. The resulting compounds 2 and HCl were fully characterized and their solid state structures and NMR spectroscopic properties were investigated to assess how the structural units affect the alkylation reactions. The results reveal the transoid structure for 2. The broadening NMR peak in 2 is shown to be due to an unusual intramolecular CH?N hydrogen bond. This unique conformation offers an efficient and regioselective method to prepare the amino-substituted bis-2,2′-1,10-phenanthroline derivatives and 1,10-phenanthrolino-N-alkylated compounds.  相似文献

Three dimeric rare-earth complexes [Eu(p-FBA)3(phen)(H2O)]2 (1), [Tb(p-FBA)3phen]2 (2), and [Tb(o-FBA)3phen]2 (3) (where p-FBA = p-fluorobenzoate, o-FBA = o-fluorobenzoate, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized and structurally characterized. All are neutral dimeric molecules. Complex 1 crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P 1. Each Eu(III) ion is eight-coordinate with one 1,10-phenanthroline, one monodentate carboxylate, one water and four bridging carboxylates. Complex 2 crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P 1. Each Tb(III) is also eight-coordinate with one 1,10-phenanthroline molecule, one bidentate chelating carboxylate and four bridging carboxylates. Complex 3 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c and consists of two crystallographically different binuclear molecules. Tb(III) ions are eight-coordinate with one 1,10-phenanthroline, one bidentate chelating carboxylate and four bridging carboxylates in both of them. Complex 1 shows bright red luminescence, 2 and 3 show green luminescence under UV light at room temperature. Thermal analysis indicates that are all quite stable to heat.  相似文献

The equilibrium geometries, electronic structures, one- and two-photon absorption (TPA) properties of a series of octupolar complexes with the Cu(I), Zn(II) and Al(III) as coordinate centers and the bis-cinnamaldimine as ligands have been studied using the B3LYP/6-31G(d) and ZINDO-SOS methods. Compared with the dipolar metal complexes, all the octupolar metal complexes (including tetrahedral and octahedral complexes) have relatively large TPA cross-sections, indicating that building octupolar metal complex is an effective route to design of promising TPA material. Lewis acidity of metal center and molecular symmetry are two important factors for enhancement of TPA cross-section of metal complex. Due to the stronger Lewis acidity of Zn(II) than Cu(I) as well as Al(III) than Zn(II), the tetrahedral Zn(II) complex exhibits a TPA cross-section larger than that of the tetrahedral Cu(I) complex, the maximum TPA position of the octahedral Al(III) complex is red-shifted relative to the octahedral Zn(II) complex, and at the same time, the octahedral Al(III) complex has a large TPA cross-section. Compared with the tetrahedral complexes, the TPA cross-sections of the octahedral complexes are enhanced due to the increased number of ligands.  相似文献

A novel 1,10-phenanthroline-containing p-conjugated chromophore, 3,8-di-(1-naphthyl)-1,10-phenanthroline, was synthesized by Suzuki reaction and its chelated complex was prepared. The UV-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescent (PL) properties were investigated. The results show that when the solution of the complex in THF located in low concentration range (<10(-6) mol/L), the fluorescence emission exhibit only one emission band and the excimer is formed with gradual increase in concentration of the complex. The emission spectra of the complex show obvious solvent effect. In addition, the intermolecular action between the complex and fullerene (C60) were investigated. The fluorescence intensity of the complex is decreased and the maximal emission obvious red-shifted with the increasing of the concentration of C60, which suggests that the strong interactions between the complex and C60 happen in the excited state.  相似文献

In the context of our studies on ruthenium(II) complexes containing polyazaheterocyclic ligands as functionalised photosensitisers for singlet molecular oxygen generation in heterogeneous phase, we describe the synthesis and spectroscopic characterisation of different amide-functionalised N-1,10-phenanthrolin-5-ylalkylamides. These chelators are used to obtain heteroleptic [Ru(phen)2L]2+ complexes, where L stands for 2-iodo-N-1,10-phenanthrolin-5-ylacetamide (5-iap), 4-oxo-4-(1,10-phenanthrolin-5-ylamino)butanoic acid (5-suap), 5-oxo-5-(1,10-phenanthrolin-5-ylamino)pentanoic acid (5-glap) and tert-butyl 4-oxo-4-(1,10-phenanthrolin-5-ylamino)butylcarbamate (BOC-5-ngap). The spectroscopic data, excited state lifetimes and quenching rate constants with O2 (ca. 3.7×109 L mol−1 s−1) of these novel complexes are also reported.  相似文献

[Eu(ABA)(phen)2(H2O)3](ClO4)3·3phen·4.5H2O (1) and [Eu(Val)(phen)2(H2O)3](ClO4)3·3phen·2H2O (2) are two new europium complexes with amino acids and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen=1,10-phenanthroline, ABA=-amino butyl acid, Val= -valine). Their crystal structures were measured by X-ray crystallography. Europium atoms in both complexes are nine-coordinated with bidentate 1,10-phenanthroline and carboxylate anion of amino acids, and water molecules. In the solid state, 1 and 2 have a structure involving aromatic stacking of the coordinated and non-coordinated 1,10-phenanthroline and the oxygen atoms of non-coordinated perchlorate anions being H-bond acceptors connect [Eu(ABA)(phen)2(H2O)3]3+·3phen·4.5H2O or [Eu(Val)(phen)2(H2O)3]3+·3phen·2H2O in their structures. In their interactions, several C–HO bonds play an important role. Owing to their different amino acid ligands and the number of lattice water molecules, there is some difference in their hydrogen bond patterns in 1 and 2. The side chain of -valine is involved in the formation of C–HO bonds. Hydrogen bond and π–π interactions determine the supramolecular formation of three-dimensional net works of both complexes.  相似文献

New triorganotin(IV) derivatives of the general formula R3Sn(Umb) (where, R = Me, n-Bu and Ph; Umb = umbelliferone anion) have been synthesized using sodium salt method. Further, the adducts of the general formula R3Sn(Umb) · phen (where R = Me and Ph; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have also been synthesized by the interaction of the triorganotin(IV) derivatives of umbelliferone with 1,10-phenanthroline. The bonding and coordination behavior of these derivatives are discussed on the basis of IR, NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn), and 119Sn Mössbauer spectroscopic studies. These investigations indicate that umbelliferone acts as a monoanionic bidentate ligand in R3Sn(Umb) coordinating through O(7) and O(1) in the solid-state. These polymeric R3Sn(Umb) derivatives (where R = Me and n-Bu) have been proposed to have a trans-trigonal bipyramidal geometry with the three R groups in equatorial positions, while the axial positions are occupied by a phenolic oxygen and the O(1) atom from the adjacent molecule. A pseudotetrahedral geometry has been suggested for Ph3Sn(Umb). A distorted octahedral geometry around tin has been proposed for R3Sn(Umb) · phen, in which umbelliferone anion acts as a monodentate ligand coordinating through phenolic oxygen O(7). The newly synthesized derivatives have been assayed for their anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular and anti-microbial activities. The average LD50 values >1000 mg kg−1 of these derivatives indicate their safety margin. Among all the compounds tested, Ph3Sn(Umb) · phen has been found to show potent anti-inflammatory activity with low mammalian toxicity and mild hypotensive activity.  相似文献
