For example, whenG=HK, whereH, K are normal subgroups ofG andHK⊆ζ(H), then the subgroups ofG determined byI(G)I(H)I(G), andI 3(G)I(H) are obtained. For a commutative ring K the conception of a strongly maximal ideal J was introduced by Kuzucuoglu and Levchuk in 2000. Denote by Rn(K,J) the ring of all n×n-matrices over K with elements from J on and above the main diagonal. Recent results on ideals of the ring Rn(K,J) for this case, ideals of the associated Lie ring and normal subgroups of the adjoint group are considered in this paper. Also ideals of Rn(K,J) for the case of an arbitrary associative ring K with the identity are investigated.  相似文献

In this paper,we study the basis of augmentation ideals and the quotient groups of finite non-abelian p-group which has a cyclic subgroup of index p,where p is an odd prime,and k is greater than or equal to 3.A concrete basis for the augmentation ideal is obtained and then the structure of its quotient groups can be determined.  相似文献

On isomorphisms between centers of integral group rings of finite groups   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
For finite nilpotent groups and , and a -adapted ring (the rational integers, for example), it is shown that any isomorphism between the centers of the group rings and is monomial, i.e., maps class sums in to class sums in up to multiplication with roots of unity. As a consequence, and have identical character tables if and only if the centers of their integral group rings and are isomorphic. In the course of the proof, a new proof of the class sum correspondence is given.

It was proved in [4] that every group ring of a torsion abelian group over a commutative local ring is a semi-clean ring. It was asked in [4] whether every group ring of a torsion abelian group over a commutative clean ring is a semi-clean ring and whether every group ring of a torsion abelian group over a commutative semi-clean ring is a semi-clean ring. We continue studying the associative rings complete and reduced in the sense of Martynov. We prove that the group of invertible elements of a reduced associative ring is reduced. G of a finite group G, a noncyclic subgroup of order p 2, for some odd prime p, exists only if such a subgroup exists in G.
