Mixed cyclization of 3-mono-, 4-mono-, or 4,5-di(porphyrinated) phthalonitrile compounds 2, 3, or 6 and unsubstituted phthalonitrile with the half-sandwich complex [EuIII(acac)(Pc)] (Pc=phthalocyaninate, acac=acetylacetonate) as the template in the presence of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) in n-pentanol afforded novel porphyrin-appended europium(III) bis(phthalocyaninato) complexes 7-9 in 30-40% yield. These mixed tetrapyrrole triads and tetrad were spectroscopically and electrochemically characterized and their photophysical properties were also investigated with steady-state and transient spectroscopic methods. It has been found that the fluorescence of the porphyrin moiety is quenched effectively by the double-decker unit through an intramolecular photoinduced electron-transfer process, which takes place in several hundred femtoseconds, while the recombination of the charge-separated state occurs in several picoseconds. By using different phthalocyanines containing different numbers of porphyrin substituents at the peripheral or nonperipheral position(s) of the ligand, while the other unsubstituted phthalocyanine remains unchanged in these double-deckers, the effects of the number and the position of the porphyrin substituents on these photophysical processes were also examined.  相似文献

In the present study, photophysical properties of fluorescent poly(oxyethylene phosphate) tris(β-diketonate) europium (III) complexes have been studied by means of stationary and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy (in ethanol at room temperature). The luminescent quantum yields and efficiency for the energy transfer from β-diketonate ligands to Eu(III) ion have been determined for the studied complexes by using diffusion-enhanced fluorescence resonance energy transfer. Obtained results show effect of the polymer ligands upon photophysical properties of the complexes and a relation has been established with length of the oxyethylene spacer between two phosphonate groups. The Förster radiuses of the synthesized compounds with SulfoRhodamine 101 as acceptor have been calculated. Measured distances between molecules of the donors and acceptor at identical acceptor/donor molar ratios have been illustrated the difference in structure of the ternary and polymer complexes in solution even at low concentration.  相似文献

Reaction of heteroleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) lanthanide compounds [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] [H2Pc=unsubstituted phthalocyanine; H2Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyanine] with monomeric complexes [(Pc)M(acac)] (Hacac=acetylacetone), both of which generated in situ, led to the isolation of heteroleptic phthalocyaninato-[2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninato] lanthainde(III) triple-decker complexes [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] (M=Gd-Lu) (1-8) as the sole product. Heterodinuclear analogues [(Pc)Lu{Pc(OC8H17)8}M(Pc)] (M=Gd-Yb) (9-15) were obtained in a similar manner from the reaction of [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}] (M=Gd-Yb) and [(Pc)Lu(acac)]. The molecular structures of the herterodinuclear compound [(Pc)Lu{Pc(OC8H17)8}Er(Pc)] (13) and its homodinuclear counterparts [(Pc)M{Pc(OC8H17)8}M(Pc)] (M=Er, Lu) (5, 8) have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis; these structures exhibit a symmetrical molecular structure with one inner planar Pc(OC8H17)8 ligand and two outer domed Pc ligands. In addition to various spectroscopic analyses, the electrochemistry of these compounds has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, revealing the gradually enhanced pi-pi interactions among the phthalocyanine rings in the triple-deckers along with the lanthanide contraction.  相似文献

We have developed and optimized a well-controlled and refined methodology for the synthesis of substituted π-conjugated 4,4'-styryl-2,2'-bipyridine ligands and also adapted the tris(heteroleptic) synthetic approach developed by Mann and co-workers to produce two new representative Ru(II)-based complexes bearing the metal oxide surface-anchoring precursor 4,4'-bis[E-(p-methylcarboxy-styryl)]-2,2'-bipyridine. The two targeted Ru(II) complexes, (4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-bis[E-(p-methylcarboxy-styryl)]-2,2'-bipyridine) ruthenium(II) hexafluorophosphate, [Ru(dmbpy)(dtbbpy)(p-COOMe-styryl-bpy)](PF(6))(2) (1) and (4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-bis[E-(p-methylcarboxy-styryl)]-2,2'-bipyridine) ruthenium(II) hexafluorophosphate, [Ru(dmbpy)(dnbpy)(p-COOMe-styryl-bpy)](PF(6))(2) (2) were obtained as analytically pure compounds in high overall yields (>50% after 5 steps) and were isolated without significant purification effort. In these tris(heteroleptic) molecules, NMR-based structural characterization became nontrivial as the coordinated ligand sets each sense profoundly distinct magnetic environments greatly complicating traditional 1D spectra. However, rational two-dimensional approaches based on both homo- and heteronuclear couplings were readily applied to these structures producing quite definitive analytical characterization and the associated methodology is described in detail. Preliminary photoluminescence and photochemical characterization of 1 and 2 strongly suggests that both molecules are energetically and kinetically suitable to serve as sensitizers in energy-relevant applications.  相似文献

A series of four amphiphilic heteroleptic tris(phthalocyaninato) europium complexes with different lengths of hydrophobic alkoxy substituents on one outer phthalocyanine ligand [Pc(15C5)4]Eu[Pc(15C5)4]Eu[Pc(OCnH(2n+1))8] (n = 4, 6, 10,12) (1, 2, 4, and 5) was designed and prepared. Their film forming and organic field effect transistor properties have been systematically studied in comparison with analogous [Pc(15C5)4]Eu[Pc(15C5)4]Eu[Pc(OC8H17)8] (3). Experimental results showed that all these typical amphiphilic sandwich triple-decker molecules have been fabricated into highly ordered films by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique, which displays carrier mobility in the direction parallel to the aromatic phthalocyanine rings in the range of 0.0032-0.60 cm2 V(-1) s(-1) depending on the length of the hydrophobic alkoxy substituents. This is rationalized on the basis of comparative morphology analysis results of the LB films by the atomic force microscopy technique.  相似文献

The vanadium(III) complexes, V(S2CNMe2)3 (1) and V(S2CN i Pr2)3 (2) were prepared and characterized by analysis, IR, electronic and 1H NMR spectra. The complexes show reversible thermochromic behaviour. MM2 calculations were used to simulate the molecular structure of 1. For 2, variable temperature 1H NMR revealed hindered rotation about C–N bonds. The rotational energy barrier (38?kJ?mol?1) was obtained by molecular mechanics force-field calculations.  相似文献

Three heteroleptic tris(phathlocyaninato) dysprosium triple-decker complexes with different alkoxy groups at the peripheral positions of the medium phthalocyanine ligand (Pc)Dy[Pc(OCnH(2n+1))8]Dy(Pc) (n = 4, 8, 16) (I-III) {Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC4H9)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(butyloxy)phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC8H17)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(octyloxy)phthalocyaninate; Pc(OC16H33)8 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis(hexadecyloxy)phthalocyaninate} have been synthesized, and their aggregate behaviors in monolayer and multilayer solid films have been comparatively studied. The pure compounds and their 1:4 mixtures with stearic acid (SA) have been found to form a stable monolayer at the air/water interface with a tilted edge-on orientation of (Pc)Dy[Pc(OCnH(2n+1))8]Dy(Pc) molecules. In the pure monolayers of the three triple-decker compounds, wirelike molecular aggregates were observed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). Adding SA has been found to prevent triple-decker compounds (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC4H9)8]Dy(Pc) (I) and (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC8H17)8]Dy(Pc) (II) from forming large aggregates, and small domains with a diameter of ca. 10 nm were observed in the mixed monolayers. HRTEM studies revealed that two crystalline phases with rectangular and hexagonal lattice structure are present in the small domains. However, both pi-A isotherms and HRTEM studies indicated that the mixed monolayer of compound (Pc)Dy[Pc(OC16H33)8]Dy(Pc) (III) with SA did not show a difference from the corresponding pure monolayer. The SA molecules were pressed into the cavity above the phthalocyanine ring formed by the eight long hexadecyloxy side chains of the medium macrocycle ligand in III. The multilayer LB films of all of these triple deckers fabricated by the vertical dipping method showed very good layered structure as revealed by the multiple-order diffraction peaks in low-angle X-ray diffraction (LAXRD) patterns.  相似文献

LB films of three amphiphilic tris(phthalocyaninato) rare earth triple-decker complexes with crown-ethers as hydrophilic heads and long alkyl chains as hydrophobic tails have been prepared and found to display very well ordered layer structures, as proved by pi-A isotherms, UV-vis and polarized absorption spectra, X-ray diffraction experiments, and microscopic morphology characterization. These LB films have been fabricated into field-effect transistor (FET) devices, which show carrier mobilities as high as 0.24-0.60 cm2 V-1 s-1, among the highest mobilities achieved thus far for all LB film-based OFETs.  相似文献

Treatment of MIII(Pc)(acac) (M = Sm, Eu, Gd; Pc = phthalocyaninate; acac = acetylacetonate), generated in situ, with 3-(3-pentyloxy)phthalonitrile in the presence of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) in n-pentanol affords racemic mixtures of the chiral double-deckers MIII(Pc)[Pc(OC5H11)4] [Pc(OC5H11)4 = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyaninate], which have been spectroscopically and structurally characterised.  相似文献

A series of bipolar-transporting europium(III) complexes containing carbazole and oxadiazole units were synthesized and characterized. Two intense UV absorption bands at around 286 nm and 352 nm, and sharply red emissions peaked at 614 nm were observed for these europium complexes in dichloromethane. Importantly, the bipolar-transporting europium(III) complexes exhibited higher thermal stability, more intense UV absorption at 286 nm and twofold increased photoluminescent quantum yield compared to the reported red chromophore of tri(dibenzoylmethane) (1,10-phenanthroline) europium(III).  相似文献

A new molecular dyad, comprised of a zinc-porphyrin and a ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine) complex linked through an amide bond has been synthesized and characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, UV-vis, mass-spectrometry and elemental analysis. The electrochemistry as well as the steady-state emission properties were investigated. The redox behavior of the dyad exhibits a favorable reversible characteristic. Substantial quenching of porphyrin emission was found when the Q band of 5 and 5-Zn was selectively photoexcited. This observation suggests a quenching mechanism with possible intramolecular electron transfer or energy transfer between the Ru(bpy)3 moiety and the porphyrin free-base or Zn porphyrin moieties.  相似文献

Mixed (difluoro)phenylpyridine/(difluoro)phenylpyrazole tris-cyclometalated iridium complexes were prepared in order to study the effect of fluorination and the pyridine/pyrazole ratio on the emission and electrochemical properties. Increasing fluorination and replacement of pyridine by pyrazole both leads to a widening of the HOMO-LUMO gap and generally leads to a blue shift in emission.  相似文献

Some new heteroleptic tris-cyclometallated iridium(III) complexes have been synthesized and fully characterized. Among these iridium(III) complexes, bis(1-phenylpyrazolato-N,C2′)iridium(III)[5-(2′-pyridyl)tetrazolate] (3) and bis(3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazolato-N,C2′)iridium(III)[5-(2′-pyridyl)tetrazolate] (4) show excellent quantum yields at room temperature, the electron density being perturbed by introducing the pyridyltetrazole ligand, making kr > knr. This destroys the concept of phenylpyrazole based iridium complexes.  相似文献

A series of heteroleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) europium(III) complexes, namely, Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)] (2), Eu(Pc)[Pc(opp-15C5)2] (3), Eu(Pc)[Pc(adj-15C5)2] (4), Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)3] (5), and Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)4] (6) [Pc = unsubstituted phthalocyaninate; Pc(15C5) = 2,3-(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(opp-15C5)2 = 2,3,16,17-bis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(adj-15C5)2 = 2,3,9,10-bis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate; Pc(15C5)3 = 2,3,9,10,16,17-tris(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate, Pc(15C5)4 = 2,3,9,10,16,17,24,25-tetrakis(15-crown-5)phthalocyaninate], with one, two, three, and four 15-crown-5 voids attached at different positions of one of the two phthalocyaninato ligands in the double-decker molecules, have been devised and prepared by Eu(Pc)(acac)-induced (Hacac = acetylacetone) mixed cyclization of the two corresponding phthalonitriles in the presence of organic base 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) in n-pentanol. For the purpose of comparative studies, homoleptic counterparts Eu(Pc)2 (1) and Eu[Pc(15C5)4]2 (7) have also been prepared. These sandwich double-decker complexes have been characterized by a wide range of spectroscopic methods in addition to elemental analysis. Their electrochemistry has also been studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The molecular structure of Eu(Pc)[Pc(15C5)4] (6) has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Their supramolecular structure-formation properties, in particular for compounds 5 and 6 in the presence of potassium ions, have also been comparatively studied for the purpose of future functional investigation.  相似文献

A series of square planar cyclometalated heteroleptic platinum(II) complexes of the type [(C^N)Pt(O^O)] [where, O^O is a β‐diketonato ligand of acetylacetone (acac), C^N = cyclometalating 7‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐5‐phenylpyrazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine (L1), 7‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐5‐phenylpyrazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine (L2), 7‐(4‐bromophenyl)‐5‐phenylpyrazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine (L3), 7‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐5‐phenylpyrazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine (L4), 5‐phenyl‐7‐(p‐tolyl)pyrazolo[1,5‐a]pyrimidine (L5)] have been design, synthesized and characterized. All compounds have been screened for biological studies like in vitro antibacterial, in vitro cytotoxicity, cellular level cytotoxicity, absorption titration, viscosity measurements, fluorescence quenching analysis, molecular docking and DNA nuclease. The intrinsic binding constants (Kb) of compounds with HS‐DNA has been obtained in range of 2.892–0.242 × 105 M?1. All the compounds bound with HS DNA by partial intercalative mode of binding. MIC study has been carried out against Gram(+ve) and Gram(?ve) bacterial species. In vitro cytotoxicity against brine shrimp lethality bioassay has been also carried out. The LC50 values of the ligands and complexes have been found in range of 56.49–120.22 μg/mL and 6.71–11.96 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

The synthesis of novel amphiphilic star-graft (SG) copolymers containing hydrophilic poly(oxyethylene) (PEO) side chains attached to a hydrophobic backbone by multifunctional entity is reported. In a first step poly(phthalimidoacrylate-co-styrene) was converted into polymers containing different number of multifunctional branching cites distributed along the main chain by partial aminolysis of the phthalimidoacrylate units with tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane. In the second step, these reactive copolymers yielded SG copolymers with different number of star-shaped PEO side groups by reaction with isocyanato terminated methoxy–PEO. The copolymers were characterized by size-exclusion chromatography, IR-, and NMR-spectroscopy. Their thermal properties were examined by thermal gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The studies indicate that the grafting degree and hydrogen bonding determine to a great extent the behavior of the SG copolymers in solid state and in solution. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
