Summary Letf n (p) be a recursive kernel estimate off (p) thepth order derivative of the probability density functionf, based on a random sample of sizen. In this paper, we provide bounds for the moments of and show that the rate of almost sure convergence of to zero isO(n −α), α<(r−p)/(2r+1), iff (r),r>p≧0, is a continuousL 2(−∞, ∞) function. We give a simple explanation of numerical experiments of V. Arnold with two sequences of symmetric numerical semigroups, S(4,6+4k,87−4k) and S(9,3+9k,85−9k) generated by three elements. We present a generalization of these sequences by numerical semigroups S(r12,r1r2+r12k,r3-r12k)\mathsf{S}(r_{1}^{2},r_{1}r_{2}+r_{1}^{2}k,r_{3}-r_{1}^{2}k), k∈ℤ, r 1,r 2,r 3∈ℤ+, r 1≥2 and gcd(r 1,r 2)=gcd(r 1,r 3)=1, and calculate their universal Frobenius number Φ(r 1,r 2,r 3) for the wide range of k providing semigroups be symmetric. We show that this type of semigroups admit also nonsymmetric representatives. We describe the reduction of the minimal generating sets of these semigroups up to {r12,r3-r12k}\{r_{1}^{2},r_{3}-r_{1}^{2}k\} for sporadic values of k and find these values by solving the quadratic Diophantine equation.  相似文献

Let ϕ be a unimodular function on the unit circle and let Kp(ϕ) denote the kernel of the Toeplitz operator Tϕ in the Hardy space Hp, p≥1; . Suppose Kp(ϕ)≠{0}. The problem is to find out how the smoothness of the symbol ϕ influences the boundary smoothness of functions in Kp(ϕ). One of the main results is as follows. We study the limit behaviour of solutions of with initial data k δ 0 when k → ∞, where h is a positive nondecreasing function and p > 1. If h(r) = r β , βN(p − 1) − 2, we prove that the limit function u is an explicit very singular solution, while such a solution does not exist if β ≤  N(p − 1) − 2. Using elementary comparison geometry, we prove: Let (M, g) be a simply-connected complete Riemannian manifold of dimension ≥ 3. Suppose that the sectional curvature K satisfies −1 − s(r) ≤ K ≤ −1, where r denotes distance to a fixed point in M. If lim r → ∞ e2r s(r) = 0, then (M, g) has to be isometric to ℍ n . The same proof also yields that if K satisfies −s(r) ≤ K ≤ 0 where lim r → ∞ r 2 s(r) = 0, then (M, g) is isometric to ℝ n , a result due to Greene and Wu. Our second result is a local one: Let (M, g) be any Riemannian manifold. For a ∈ ℝ, if Ka on a geodesic ball B p (R) in M and K = a on ∂B p (R), then K = a on B p (R).  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate compactly supported Riesz multiwavelet sequences and Riesz multiwavelet bases for L 2(ℝ s ). Suppose ψ = (ψ1,..., ψ r ) T and are two compactly supported vectors of functions in the Sobolev space (H μ(ℝ s )) r for some μ > 0. We provide a characterization for the sequences {ψ jk l : l = 1,...,r, j ε ℤ, k ε ℤ s } and to form two Riesz sequences for L 2(ℝ s ), where ψ jk l = m j/2ψ l (M j ·−k) and , M is an s × s integer matrix such that lim n→∞ M n = 0 and m = |detM|. Furthermore, let ϕ = (ϕ1,...,ϕ r ) T and be a pair of compactly supported biorthogonal refinable vectors of functions associated with the refinement masks a, and M, where a and are finitely supported sequences of r × r matrices. We obtain a general principle for characterizing vectors of functions ψν = (ψν1,...,ψνr ) T and , ν = 1,..., m − 1 such that two sequences {ψ jk νl : ν = 1,..., m − 1, l = 1,...,r, j ε ℤ, k ε ℤ s } and { : ν=1,...,m−1,ℓ=1,...,r, j ∈ ℤ, k ∈ ℤ s } form two Riesz multiwavelet bases for L 2(ℝ s ). The bracket product [f, g] of two vectors of functions f, g in (L 2(ℝ s )) r is an indispensable tool for our characterization. For 0<p≤∞ and 0<q≤∞, the space of Hardy-Bloch type ℬ(p,q) consists of those functionsf which are analytic in the unit diskD such that (1−r)M p (r,f′)⊂L q (dr/(1−r)). We note that ℬ(∞,∞) coincides with the Bloch space ℬ and that ℬ⊂ℬ(p,∞) for allp. Also, the space ℬ(p,p) is the Dirichlet spaceD p−1 p . We prove a number of results on decomposition of spaces with logarithmic weights which allow us to obtain sharp results about the mean growth of the ℬ(p,q). In particular, we prove that iff is an analytic function inD and 2≤p<∞, then the conditionM p (r,f′)=O((1−r)−1), asr→1, implies that
. This result is an improvement of the well-known estimate of Clunie and MacGregor and Makarov about the integral means of Bloch functions, and it also improves the main result in a recent paper by Girela and Peláez. We also consider the question of characterizing the univalent functions in the spaces ℬ(p,2), 0<p<∞, and in some other related spaces and give some applications of our estimates to study the Carleson measures for the spaces ℬ(p,2) andD p−1 p . For automorphic L-functions L(s, π) and L( s,p){L( s,\pi^{\prime })} attached to automorphic irreducible cuspidal representations π and π′ of GLm( \mathbbQA){GL_{m}( \mathbb{Q}_{A})} and GLm(\mathbbQA) {GL_{m^{\prime }}(\mathbb{Q}_{A}) }, we prove the Selberg orthogonality unconditionally for m ≤ 4 and m′ ≤ 4, and under hypothesis H of Rudnik and Sarnak if m > 4 or m′ > 4, without the additional requirement that at least one of these representations be self-contragradient.  相似文献

A partial difference set having parameters (n 2, r(n − 1), n + r 2 − 3r, r 2r) is called a Latin square type partial difference set, while a partial difference set having parameters (n 2, r(n + 1), − n + r 2 + 3r, r 2 + r) is called a negative Latin square type partial difference set. Nearly all known constructions of negative Latin square partial difference sets are in elementary abelian groups. In this paper, we develop three product theorems that construct negative Latin square type partial difference sets and Latin square type partial difference sets in direct products of abelian groups G and G′ when these groups have certain Latin square or negative Latin square type partial difference sets. Using these product theorems, we can construct negative Latin square type partial difference sets in groups of the form where the s i are nonnegative integers and s 0 + s 1 ≥ 1. Another significant corollary to these theorems are constructions of two infinite families of negative Latin square type partial difference sets in 3-groups of the form for nonnegative integers s i . Several constructions of Latin square type PDSs are also given in p-groups for all primes p. We will then briefly indicate how some of these results relate to amorphic association schemes. In particular, we construct amorphic association schemes with 4 classes using negative Latin square type graphs in many nonelementary abelian 2-groups; we also use negative Latin square type graphs whose underlying sets can be elementary abelian 3-groups or nonelementary abelian 3-groups to form 3-class amorphic association schemes.   相似文献

Consider the equation −Δu = 0 in a bounded smooth domain , complemented by the nonlinear Neumann boundary condition ∂ν u = f(x, u) − u on ∂Ω. We show that any very weak solution of this problem belongs to L (Ω) provided f satisfies the growth condition |f(x, s)| ≤ C(1 + |s| p ) for some p ∈ (1, p*), where . If, in addition, f(x, s) ≥ −C + λs for some λ > 1, then all positive very weak solutions are uniformly a priori bounded. We also show by means of examples that p* is a sharp critical exponent. In particular, using variational methods we prove the following multiplicity result: if N ∈ {3, 4} and f(x, s) =  s p then there exists a domain Ω and such that our problem possesses at least two positive, unbounded, very weak solutions blowing up at a prescribed point of ∂Ω provided . Our regularity results and a priori bounds for positive very weak solutions remain true if the right-hand side in the differential equation is of the form h(x, u) with h satisfying suitable growth conditions.  相似文献

We study the structural properties of the class Mk,λ,b(k≥2, 0≤λ≤1, b∈ℂ\{0}) of functions f(z)=z+ ... which are regular in |z|<1 and satisfy the conditions f(z)f′(z)z−1≠0 and , where J(z)=λ(1+b−1zf″(z)/f′(z)+(1−λ)(b−1zf′(z)/f(z)+1−b−1).
