Standard models of the adsorption kinetics of surfactants at the air-water surface assume that micelles break down into monomers in the bulk solution and that only monomers adsorb. We show here that micelles of the nonionic surfactant C14E8 adsorb to the surface of a liquid jet at a diffusion-controlled rate. Micellar adsorption can be switched off by incorporation of a small amount of ionic surfactant into the micelle and switched on again by addition of salt. More sophisticated models of adsorption processes in micellar solutions are required that permit a kinetic flux of micelles to the air-water interface.  相似文献

核磁共振弛豫,自扩散以及2D NOESY谱研究结果表明:双子表面活性剂16-4-16溶液在形成胶束的过程中,联结基团及其邻近的碳氢链质子形成胶束的壳层,而距离离子头较远的疏水质子位于胶束的内部. 与对应的单链的表面活性剂CTAB相比,其分子运动更受限制. 2D NOESY谱显示联接基团及临近的碳氢链的质子间有较强的交叉峰,表明形成胶束时,分子在联结基团附近堆积的较为紧密. 由2D NOESY谱计算得到的质子间距与HYPERCHEM模拟值有偏差,表明这些强交叉峰是分子间相互作用的结果,并且对应质子对在双子表面活性剂16-4-16分子中位于邻近的区域. 因此我们推测,双子表面活性剂16-4-16分子在球形胶束中形成特殊的排列方式.  相似文献

We report a combined use of small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) to the study of counterion condensation in ionic micelles. Small-angle neutron and X-ray scattering measurements have been carried out on two surfactants cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTABr) and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTACl), which are similar but having different counterions. SANS measurements show that CTABr surfactant forms much larger micelles than CTACl. This is explained in terms of higher condensation of Br counterions than Cl counterions. SAXS data on these systems suggest that the Br counterions are condensed around the micelles over smaller thickness than those of Cl counterions.  相似文献

A spectrophotometric study of the alkaline hydrolysis of two salicylic acid (SA) derived drugs, performed on acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) and triflusal, both in the absence and presence of cationic micelles. In the absence of micelles, a catalytic effect is produced by the favoured OH ion in the molecule of triflusal, due to the presence of the trifluoromethyl group. The surfactants used were: hexadecyltrimethylammonium hydroxide (HDTAOH), hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride (HDTACl), hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDTABr), hexadecylethyldimethylammonium bromide (HDEDABr) and tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TDTABr). In micelles with reactive counterions, the pseudo-first-order rate constant (kobs) increases with the increase in surfactant concentration, while in micelles with non-reactive counterions, the rate constant increased with surfactant concentration at low concentration, reaching a maximum, and decreased at high surfactant concentration, even to below the value found in the absence of micelle. The micellar binding constant of both drugs (KS), the micellar rate constant (kM) and the ion-exchange constant (KXOH) were determined according to variation in kobs in relation to surfactant concentration, through the application of the pseudophase ion-exchange model (PPIE) proposed. The empirical parameters obtained were found to depend on the substrate and the surfactant structure, these parameters were: the counterion of the micelle, the size of the headgroup and the chain length of the hydrophobic tail of the surfactant.  相似文献

Ionic surfactants such as sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) belong to the amphiphile family: they possess a long hydrophobic hydrocarbon chain and a polar hydrophilic headgroup. In a polar solvent and over the critical micellar concentration these molecules join to form micelles. The micellar solutions, in turn, if doped with various ligands tend to aggregate. Solid SDS, micelles of SDS in water and micelles of SDS doped with two types of macrocyclic ligands, Kryptofix 2.2.2 (K222) and crown ether 18‐Crown‐6 (18C6), at different concentrations are studied by Raman scattering, that represents a new approach to such systems. The experimental Raman spectrum, obtained on crystalline powders of SDS, is compared with the ab initio computed spectrum in order to assign the vibrational bands. After discriminating sensitive peaks by comparing the crystalline powders of the single components and their water solutions, the aggregation process and the action of the ligands are analyzed following the evolution of the intensity and wavenumber of these characteristic Raman peaks. This shows that Raman spectroscopy is sensitive to the aggregation dynamics and to the effects induced by the hydration layer on the molecules in solutions. The intrinsic fluorescence of Triton X-114 and Igepal CO-630 was used to monitor the aggregation behavior of micellar solutions of these surfactants. The response to changes in surfactant concentration, increases in temperature up to and beyond the cloud point, and addition of an ionic surfactant (SDS) was monitored. The intrinsic fluorescence was used to measure aggregate anisotropy as a function of SDS concentration and temperature. Relative aggregate abundance showed a minimum at the CMC, confirming the existence of premicellar assemblies. Structural differences in the hydrophobic portions of the two nonionic surfactants led to vastly different packing in their aggregates. The addition of SDS produced smaller, more closely packed micelles.  相似文献

The chemiluminescent properties of the estrogenic mycotoxin zearalenone in the presence of aqueous micellar media were investigated using steady state fluorescence techniques. Micelles of surfactants sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and non-ionic Triton X-100 enhanced the fluorescence intensity of zearalenone in aqueous solutions. The binding constants have been determined and indicate zearalenone has the highest affinity for Triton X-100, followed by CTAB, and then by SDS. The encapsulation of zearalenone by the micelles studied is spontaneous and exothermic. The selective microenvironments provided by organized micellar systems offer an attractive medium to modulate fluorescence detection of zearalenone.  相似文献

Clouding is studied by small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) on a charged micellar system of sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) with varying temperature and salt NaCl. We show that the clouding occurs as a result of increase in the attractive potential between the micelles mediated by the dehydrated TBA(+) counterions on increasing temperature and in the presence of salt. Both micelles and clusters coexist at cloud point temperature (CP) and beyond CP. The addition of salt can be used to obtain CP at room temperature (30° C). The relative effect of different salts on clouding has been found in the order CaCl(2) > MgSO(4) > Na(2)SO(4) > NaF > NaCl > KCl > CsCl > NaBr > NaNO(3). This order is explained on the basis of two important roles played by salt ions: i) counterion condensation that increases the size of the micelles and ii) dehydration of TBA(+) counterions by salt ions for bridging the micelles.  相似文献

改进了Warren所提出的CRAZED脉冲序列以研究分子间多量子相干的扩散过程 ,讨论了利用核磁共振测量分子内和分子间多量子相干表观自扩散系数的理论表述 ,采用粒子的随机行走模型模拟其扩散行为 .在短脉冲近似和长脉冲梯度场两种实验条件下 ,分别获得了因扩散引起的不同相干阶数的相对信号衰减强度随梯度场脉冲间隔时间的变化曲线 ,由此得到分子内多量子相干和分子间多量子相干的表观扩散率与溶液分子扩散系数的关系 .还将计算机模拟结果与理论预测进行分析和比较 ,发现二者能很好地吻合 .研究结果表明 ,分子间多量子相干的表观扩散率与常规的分子内多量子相干的表观扩散率明显不同 ,因此 ,分子间多量子相干的表观扩散率可能提供一种新的核磁共振成像的对比度机理  相似文献

The behaviour of the anionic dye 8-anilino-1-napthalenesulfonic acid ammonium salt, or ANS, in aqueous solutions containing the Igepal series of polyoxyethylene nonionic surfactants was investigated using fluorescence spectroscopic technique. The interactions of the dye with the nonionic surfactants were examined in micellar media, to prevent dye aggregate formation and to ensure maximum dye and surfactant interaction. From the relative fluorescence enhancements, binding constants of the dye to the surfactant micelles and aggregation numbers of the micelles were determined. The aggregation numbers were also separately determined by static fluorescence quenching of pyrene by cetylpyridinium chloride in aqueous surfactant mixtures at a fixed concentration of surfactant, and compared with the value obtained from the present investigation of the interaction of the micelles with the ANS probe. The values of binding constants, micropolarity values sensed by pyrene and the Stern–Volmer constants for quenching of pyrene fluorescence by cetylpyridinium chloride were correlated with the number of ethylene oxide groups in the Igepal series.  相似文献

通过核磁共振(NMR)技术研究了阳离子表面活性剂,包括单链(DTAC)和双链(C12-C4-C12和C12-C8-C12)氯化物季铵盐,与非离子表面活性剂壬基酚聚氧乙烯醚(NP-10)组成的3种复配体系的相互作用及作用点、排列方式、混合胶束中分子间与分子内作用的变化规律等.2D NOESY技术证明了这3种复配体系相互作用力大小顺序为NP-10/C12-C8-C12 > NP-10/C12-C4-C12 > NP-10/DTAC,它们的相互作用点相同但作用点数目不同.自扩散系数显示NP-10对混合胶束的动力学半径影响大于季铵盐.弛豫时间表明,当NP-10/DTAC和NP-10/C12-Cs-C12(s=4或8)的混合摩尔比分别为1:3和1:2时,复配体系中分子间的相互作用力开始减小,分子内作用开始起主导作用,这暗示它们最佳摩尔配比分别为1:3和1:2,空间距离也佐证了这一结论.  相似文献

水体中重金属污染因威胁生态环境和人类健康而被受广泛关注。荧光探针由于具有快速高效检测重金属的特性,一直是该领域的研究热点。通常,荧光探针在结构上包括对待测物质起识别作用的受体和能产生信号响应的荧光体,并逐步形成了内在型、共轭型、系综型和模板辅助自组装型等四种结构类型。近年来,基于受体和荧光体在表面活性剂胶束内自组装而形成的胶束自组装型荧光探针因结构简单、易于制备、能直接应用于水环境等特点逐渐受到重视。以对铜离子具有优异结合性能的对叔丁基硫杂杯[4]芳烃(TCA)为受体,以芘、荧蒽、蒽、菲、苝等分子为荧光体,通过表面活性剂胶束自组装制备针对Cu2+检测的胶束自组装型荧光探针,采用参比法测定了胶束自组装荧光探针的荧光量子产率,采用稳态荧光法测定了胶束聚集数,同时通过计算荧光猝灭率分别考察了荧光体种类、复配表面活性剂等因素对该探针的Cu2+检测性能的影响情况。实验结果显示,采用十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)、曲拉通100(TX-100)、聚氧乙烯月桂醚(Brij35)等三种不同的表面活性剂对探针荧光体的荧光量子产率产生了明显影响,测得的荧光探针荧光量子产率介于0.25~0.47,且三者逐渐增大,说明表面活性剂改变了胶束内荧光分子芘所处微环境的极性,且不同类型表面活性剂对微环境极性的影响程度有所差异,微环境极性的增强对极性更大的激发态芘具有更强的稳定作用。而受体TCA的加入对荧光体所处微环境极性影响较小,未对荧光量子产率产生较大影响。但TCA的加入使探针的胶束聚集数明显减少,这归因于具有两亲性的受体TCA分子通过胶束自组装进入并分散在表面活性剂分子层中,形成共胶束结构,从而改变了表面活性剂分子的聚集状态。荧光体变更对荧光探针的Cu2+检测性能有显著影响,在同样条件下,以荧蒽、蒽、菲作为荧光体的探针检测Cu2+所得到的荧光猝灭率远高于芘、苝,这主要是因为不同荧光体在从激发态返回基态时辐射跃迁所释放能量不同,其能量与受体TCA识别Cu2+所需能量之间的匹配度越高,荧光猝灭率越大。不同类型的表面活性剂之间的复配能明显提升荧光探针检测性能,当非离子/阴离子、非离子/阳离子型复配表面活性剂之间的复配比例分别为7∶3和1∶1时荧光猝灭率达到最大值,且均高于单一表面活性剂时的荧光猝灭率。这说明不同类型表面活性剂复配的最佳比例存在较大差异,但均有效地增强了受体与荧光体的分散性及自组装性能,提高了对Cu2+的检测性能。研究结果将为新型胶束自组装荧光探针的设计和应用提供数据参考。  相似文献

The complexation of Eu3+ with doxycycline (DC) antibiotic in the presence of several second ligands and surfactant micelles of different types is studied by the spectrophotometric and luminescence methods. It is found that the efficiency of excitation energy transfer in Eu3+-DC chelate depends on the nature of the second ligand and surfactant micelles. Using thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TTA) as an example, it is shown that the second ligand additionally sensitizes the europium fluorescence, and the possibility of intermediate sensitization of DC and then of europium is shown by the example of 1,10-phenanthroline. In all cases, the excitation energy transfer efficiency was increased due to the so-called antenna effect. The decay kinetics of the sensitized fluorescence of the binary and mixed-ligand chelates in aqueous and micellar solutions of nonionic surfactants is studied and the relative quantum yields and lifetimes of fluorescence are determined.  相似文献

Photon correlation spectroscopy was applied to concentrated micellar solutions of sodium and potassium oleate. In rod-like micellar phases the relaxation times of the concentration fluctuation were measured as a function of temperature. A remarkable temperature dependence of the relaxation time was found in the isotropic phase of rod-like micelles. This suggests that the rotational diffusion is strongly reduced by the entanglement effect. The thermal expansion coefficient of rod-like micelles was determined.  相似文献

The aqueous solubility enhancement of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) naphthalene, anthracene and pyrene by micellar solutions of single gemini surfactant hexanediyl-1,6-bis(dimethylcetylammonium bromide) (G6) and its mixtures with cationic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), anionic sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and nonioinic polyoxyethylene (20) cetyl ether (Brij 58) have been investigated. Above the cmc, maximum solubilization occurs in the Brij 58 surfactant micelles whereas the solubilization is least in presence of AOT. The PAHs are solubilized synergistically in mixed gemini-conventional surfactant solutions, which is attributed to the formation of mixed micelles, their lower cmc values, and the increase of the solvents' molar solubilization ratios or micellar partition coefficients because of the lower polarity of the mixed micelles.  相似文献

Self-diffusion of water has been investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. It was found that the preference of the direction in self-diffusion of water is orientation dependent in a finite time. For a time of ~100 ps, there are more possibilities for water molecules moving along the initial dipole orientation than in the opposite direction. This reveals that self-diffusion of water molecules is asymmetric in a finite time. We tested four water models and found that they all show similar asymmetric diffusion, indicating that asymmetric diffusion of water is intrinsic behavior rather than induced by the water model. These results are important for understanding and application of asymmetric diffusion in research fields such as biological water and confined water in small dimensions.  相似文献

Self-diffusion of all components of two different microemulsions have been measured. Application of Stokes-Einstein equations for surfactant and oil gives a simple relation connecting their size and self-diffusion coefficients. Using the measured self-diffusion coefficients and dimensions of oil molecules known from elsewhere, the size of the surfactant droplets was estimated. This approach turns out to be advantageous in practical determination of droplet size in microemulsions.  相似文献
