Let q be a prime and A a finite q-group of exponent q acting by automorphisms on a finite \(q'\)-group G. Assume that A has order at least \(q^3\). We show that if \(\gamma _{\infty } (C_{G}(a))\) has order at most m for any \(a \in A^{\#}\), then the order of \(\gamma _{\infty } (G)\) is bounded solely in terms of m and q. If \(\gamma _{\infty } (C_{G}(a))\) has rank at most r for any \(a \in A^{\#}\), then the rank of \(\gamma _{\infty } (G)\) is bounded solely in terms of r and q.  相似文献

Let \(\mathbb {F}_{p^m}\) be a finite field of cardinality \(p^m\), where p is a prime, and kN be any positive integers. We denote \(R_k=F_{p^m}[u]/\langle u^k\rangle =F_{p^m}+uF_{p^m}+\cdots +u^{k-1}F_{p^m}\) (\(u^k=0\)) and \(\lambda =a_0+a_1u+\cdots +a_{k-1}u^{k-1}\) where \(a_0, a_1,\ldots , a_{k-1}\in F_{p^m}\) satisfying \(a_0\ne 0\) and \(a_1=1\). Let r be a positive integer satisfying \(p^{r-1}+1\le k\le p^r\). First we define a Gray map from \(R_k\) to \(F_{p^m}^{p^r}\), then prove that the Gray image of any linear \(\lambda \)-constacyclic code over \(R_k\) of length N is a distance preserving linear \(a_0^{p^r}\)-constacyclic code over \(F_{p^m}\) of length \(p^rN\). Furthermore, the generator polynomials for each linear \(\lambda \)-constacyclic code over \(R_k\) of length N and its Gray image are given respectively. Finally, some optimal constacyclic codes over \(F_{3}\) and \(F_{5}\) are constructed.  相似文献

Let \(\ell \) be a prime and let \(L/ \mathbb {Q}\) be a Galois number field with Galois group isomorphic to \( \mathbb {Z}/\ell \mathbb {Z}\). We show that the shape of L, see Definition 1.2, is either \(\frac{1}{2}\mathbb {A}_{\ell -1}\) or a fixed sub-lattice depending only on \(\ell \); such a dichotomy in the value of the shape only depends on the type of ramification of L. This work is motivated by a result of Bhargava and Shnidman, and a previous work of the first named author, on the shape of \( \mathbb {Z}/3 \mathbb {Z}\) number fields.  相似文献

The total space \({\mathfrak M} \approx {\mathbb H}_1 \times S^1\) of the canonical circle bundle over the 3-dimensional Heisenberg group \({\mathbb H}_1\) is a space–time with the Lorentzian metric \(F_{\theta _0}\) (Fefferman’s metric) associated to the canonical Tanaka–Webster flat contact form \(\theta _0\) on \({\mathbb H}_1\). The matter and energy content of \(\mathfrak M\) is described by the energy-momentum tensor \({T}_{\mu \nu }\) (the trace-less Ricci tensor of \(F_{\theta _0}\)) as an effect of the non flat nature of Feferman’s metric \(F_{\theta _0}\). We study the gravitational field equations \(R_{\mu \nu } - (1/2) \, R \, g_{\mu \nu } = {T}_{\mu \nu }\) on \({\mathfrak M}\). We consider the first order perturbation \(g = F_{\theta _0} + \epsilon \, h\), \(\epsilon<< 1\), and linearize the field equations about \(F_{\theta _0}\). We determine a Lorentzian metric g on \({\mathfrak M}\) which solves the linearized field equations corresponding to a diagonal perturbation h.  相似文献

A sufficient condition for a set \(\Omega \subset L^{1}\left( \left[ 0,1\right] ^{m}\right) \) to be invariant K-minimal with respect to the couple \(\left( L^{1}\left( \left[ 0,1\right] ^{m}\right) ,L^{\infty }\left( \left[ 0,1\right] ^{m}\right) \right) \) is established. Through this condition, different examples of invariant K-minimal sets are constructed. In particular, it is shown that the \(L^{1}\)-closure of the image of the \(L^{\infty }\)-ball of smooth vector fields with support in \(\left( 0,1\right) ^{m}\) under the divergence operator is an invariant K-minimal set. The constructed examples have finite-dimensional analogues in terms of invariant K-minimal sets with respect to the couple \(\left( \ell ^{1},\ell ^{\infty }\right) \) on \(\mathbb {R}^{n}\). These finite-dimensional analogues are interesting in themselves and connected to applications where the element with minimal K-functional is important. We provide a convergent algorithm for computing the element with minimal K-functional in these and other finite-dimensional invariant K-minimal sets.  相似文献

Given any Kodaira curve C in a complex surface X, we construct a simply-laced affine Lie algebra bundle \(\mathcal {E}\) over X. When \( p _{g}(X)=0\), we construct deformations of holomorphic structures on \(\mathcal {E}\) such that the new bundle is trivial over any ADE curve \( C^{\prime }\) inside C and therefore descends to the singular surface obtained by contracting \(C^{\prime }\).  相似文献

To each power-norm \(((E^n, \Vert \cdot \Vert _n):n\in {\mathbb N})\) based on a given Banach space E, we associate two maximal symmetric sequence spaces \(L_\Phi ^E\) and \(L_\Psi ^E\) whose norms \(\Vert (z_k)\Vert _{L_\Phi ^E}\) and \(\Vert (z_k)\Vert _{L_\Psi ^E}\) are defined by \(\sup \{ \Vert (z_1x,\ldots ,z_nx)\Vert _n: \Vert x\Vert =1, n\in {\mathbb N}\}\) and \(\sup \{ \Vert \sum _{k=1}^n z_kx_k\Vert : \Vert (x_1,\ldots ,x_n)\Vert _n=1, n\in {\mathbb N}\}\) respectively. For each \(1\le p\le \infty \), we introduce and study the p-power-norms as those power-norms for which \(L_\Phi ^E=\ell ^p\) and \(L_\Psi ^E=\ell ^{p'}\), where \(1/p+1/p'=1\). As a special cases of p-power-norms we introduce certain smaller class, to be called the class of \(\ell ^p\)-power-norms, which is shown to contain the p-multi-norms defined in (Dales et al., Multi-norms and Banach lattices, 2016), and to coincide with the multi-norms and dual-multi-norms defined in (Dales and Polyakov, Diss Math 488, 2012) in the cases \(p=\infty \) and \(p=1\) respectively. We give several procedures to construct examples of such p-power and \(\ell ^p\)-power-norms and show that the natural formulations of the (pq)-summing, (pq)-concave, Rademacher power norms, t-standard power norms among others are examples in these classes. In particular, for instance the Rademacher power norm is a 2-power norm and the (pq)-summing power-norm is a \(\ell ^r\)-power-norm for \(p>q\) with \(\frac{1}{r}=\frac{1}{q}-\frac{1}{p}\).  相似文献

Let G be a Polish locally compact group acting on a Polish space \({{X}}\) with a G-invariant probability measure \(\mu \). We factorize the integral with respect to \(\mu \) in terms of the integrals with respect to the ergodic measures on X, and show that \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) (\(1\le p<\infty \)) is G-equivariantly isometrically lattice isomorphic to an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of the spaces \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\lambda )\), where \(\lambda \) ranges over the ergodic measures on X. This yields a disintegration of the canonical representation of G as isometric lattice automorphisms of \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) as an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of order indecomposable representations. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is a probability space, and, for some \(1\le q<\infty \), G acts in a strongly continuous manner on \(\mathrm {L}^{q}({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) as isometric lattice automorphisms that leave the constants fixed, then G acts on \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}}^{\prime },\mu ^{\prime })\) in a similar fashion for all \(1\le p<\infty \). Moreover, there exists an alternative model in which these representations originate from a continuous action of G on a compact Hausdorff space. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is separable, the representation of G on \(\mathrm {L}^p(X^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) can then be disintegrated into order indecomposable representations. The notions of \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integrals of Banach spaces and representations that are developed extend those in the literature.  相似文献

Let \(k\in \mathbb {N}^*\) be even. We consider two trigonometric series \( F_k(x)= \sum _{n=1}^\infty \frac{\sigma _{k-1}(n)}{n^{k+1}} \sin (2\pi n x)\) and \(G_k(x)= \sum _{n=1}^\infty \frac{\sigma _{k-1}(n)}{n^{k+1}} \cos (2\pi n x),\) where \(\sigma _{k-1}\) is the divisor function. They converge on \(\mathbb {R}\) to continuous functions. In this paper, we examine the differentiability of \(F_k\) and \(G_k\). These functions are related to Eisenstein series, and their (quasi-)modular properties allow us to apply the method proposed by Itatsu in 1981 in the study of the Riemann series. We focus on the case \(k=2\) and we show that the sine series exhibits a different behaviour with respect to differentiability than the cosine series. We prove that the differentiability of \(F_2\) at an irrational x is related to the continued fraction expansion of x. We estimate the modulus of continuity of \(F_2\). We formulate a conjecture concerning differentiability of \(F_k\) and \(G_k\) for any k even.  相似文献

We consider the problem
$$\begin{aligned} -\Delta u+\left( V_{\infty }+V(x)\right) u=|u|^{p-2}u,\quad u\in H_{0} ^{1}(\Omega ), \end{aligned}$$
where \(\Omega \) is either \(\mathbb {R}^{N}\) or a smooth domain in \(\mathbb {R} ^{N}\) with unbounded boundary, \(N\ge 3,\) \(V_{\infty }>0,\) \(V\in \mathcal {C} ^{0}(\mathbb {R}^{N}),\) \(\inf _{\mathbb {R}^{N}}V>-V_{\infty }\) and \(2<p<\frac{2N}{N-2}\). We assume V is periodic in the first m variables, and decays exponentially to zero in the remaining ones. We also assume that \(\Omega \) is periodic in the first m variables and has bounded complement in the other ones. Then, assuming that \(\Omega \) and V are invariant under some suitable group of symmetries on the last \(N-m\) coordinates of \(\mathbb {R}^{N}\), we establish existence and multiplicity of sign-changing solutions to this problem. We show that, under suitable assumptions, there is a combined effect of the number of periodic variables and the symmetries of the domain on the number of sign-changing solutions to this problem. This number is at least \(m+1\)

We show that for an inverse semigroup S with the set idempotents E acting on S trivially from left and by multiplication from right, any bounded module derivation from \(\ell ^1(S)\) to \(({\ell ^1(S)}/{J})^*=J^{\perp }\) is inner, where J is the closed ideal generated by elements of the form \(\delta _{set}-\delta _{st}\) with \(s,t\in S\) and \(e\in E\).  相似文献

We consider the Anderson polymer partition function
$$\begin{aligned} u(t):=\mathbb {E}^X\left[ e^{\int _0^t \mathrm {d}B^{X(s)}_s}\right] \,, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\{B^{x}_t\,;\, t\ge 0\}_{x\in \mathbb {Z}^d}\) is a family of independent fractional Brownian motions all with Hurst parameter \(H\in (0,1)\), and \(\{X(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}^{\ge 0}}\) is a continuous-time simple symmetric random walk on \(\mathbb {Z}^d\) with jump rate \(\kappa \) and started from the origin. \(\mathbb {E}^X\) is the expectation with respect to this random walk. We prove that when \(H\le 1/2\), the function u(t) almost surely grows asymptotically like \(e^{\lambda t}\), where \(\lambda >0\) is a deterministic number. More precisely, we show that as t approaches \(+\infty \), the expression \(\{\frac{1}{t}\log u(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}^{>0}}\) converges both almost surely and in the \(\hbox {L}^1\) sense to some positive deterministic number \(\lambda \). For \(H>1/2\), we first show that \(\lim _{t\rightarrow \infty } \frac{1}{t}\log u(t)\) exists both almost surely and in the \(\hbox {L}^1\) sense and equals a strictly positive deterministic number (possibly \(+\infty \)); hence, almost surely u(t) grows asymptotically at least like \(e^{\alpha t}\) for some deterministic constant \(\alpha >0\). On the other hand, we also show that almost surely and in the \(\hbox {L}^1\) sense, \(\limsup _{t\rightarrow \infty } \frac{1}{t\sqrt{\log t}}\log u(t)\) is a deterministic finite real number (possibly zero), hence proving that almost surely u(t) grows asymptotically at most like \(e^{\beta t\sqrt{\log t}}\) for some deterministic positive constant \(\beta \). Finally, for \(H>1/2\) when \(\mathbb {Z}^d\) is replaced by a circle endowed with a Hölder continuous covariance function, we show that \(\limsup _{t\rightarrow \infty } \frac{1}{t}\log u(t)\) is a deterministic finite positive real number, hence proving that almost surely u(t) grows asymptotically at most like \(e^{c t}\) for some deterministic positive constant c.

Let \(\mathcal S\) be an abelian group of automorphisms of a probability space \((X, {\mathcal A}, \mu )\) with a finite system of generators \((A_1, \ldots , A_d).\) Let \(A^{{\underline{\ell }}}\) denote \(A_1^{\ell _1} \ldots A_d^{\ell _d}\), for \({{\underline{\ell }}}= (\ell _1, \ldots , \ell _d).\) If \((Z_k)\) is a random walk on \({\mathbb {Z}}^d\), one can study the asymptotic distribution of the sums \(\sum _{k=0}^{n-1} \, f \circ A^{\,{Z_k(\omega )}}\) and \(\sum _{{\underline{\ell }}\in {\mathbb {Z}}^d} {\mathbb {P}}(Z_n= {\underline{\ell }}) \, A^{\underline{\ell }}f\), for a function f on X. In particular, given a random walk on commuting matrices in \(SL(\rho , {\mathbb {Z}})\) or in \({\mathcal M}^*(\rho , {\mathbb {Z}})\) acting on the torus \({\mathbb {T}}^\rho \), \(\rho \ge 1\), what is the asymptotic distribution of the associated ergodic sums along the random walk for a smooth function on \({\mathbb {T}}^\rho \) after normalization? In this paper, we prove a central limit theorem when X is a compact abelian connected group G endowed with its Haar measure (e.g., a torus or a connected extension of a torus), \(\mathcal S\) a totally ergodic d-dimensional group of commuting algebraic automorphisms of G and f a regular function on G. The proof is based on the cumulant method and on preliminary results on random walks.  相似文献

A linear complementary-dual (LCD) code C is a linear code whose dual code \(C^{\perp }\) satisfies \(C \cap C^{\perp }=\{0\}\). In this work we characterize some classes of LCD q-ary \((\lambda , l)\)-quasi-twisted (QT) codes of length \(n=ml\) with \((m,q)=1\), \(\lambda \in F_{q} \setminus \{0\}\) and \(\lambda \ne \lambda ^{-1}\). We show that every \((\lambda ,l)\)-QT code C of length \(n=ml\) with \(dim(C)<m\) or \(dim(C^{\perp })<m\) is an LCD code. A sufficient condition for r-generator QT codes is provided under which they are LCD. We show that every maximal 1-generator \((\lambda ,l)\)-QT code of length \(n=ml\) with \(l>2\) is either an LCD code or a self-orthogonal code and a sufficient condition for this family of codes is given under which such a code C is LCD. Also it is shown that every maximal 1-generator \((\lambda ,2)\)-QT code is LCD. Several good and optimal LCD QT codes are presented.  相似文献

We consider the model space \(\mathbb {M}^{n}_{K}\) of constant curvature K and dimension \(n\ge 1\) (Euclidean space for \(K=0\), sphere for \(K>0\) and hyperbolic space for \(K<0\)), and we show that given a function \(\rho :[0,\infty )\rightarrow [0, \infty )\) with \(\rho (0)=\mathrm {dist}(x,y)\) there exists a coadapted coupling (X(t), Y(t)) of Brownian motions on \(\mathbb {M}^{n}_{K}\) starting at (xy) such that \(\rho (t)=\mathrm {dist}(X(t),Y(t))\) for every \(t\ge 0\) if and only if \(\rho \) is continuous and satisfies for almost every \(t\ge 0\) the differential inequality
$$\begin{aligned} -(n-1)\sqrt{K}\tan \left( \tfrac{\sqrt{K}\rho (t)}{2}\right) \le \rho '(t)\le -(n-1)\sqrt{K}\tan \left( \tfrac{\sqrt{K}\rho (t)}{2}\right) +\tfrac{2(n-1)\sqrt{K}}{\sin (\sqrt{K}\rho (t))}. \end{aligned}$$
In other words, we characterize all coadapted couplings of Brownian motions on the model space \(\mathbb {M}^{n}_{K}\) for which the distance between the processes is deterministic. In addition, the construction of the coupling is explicit for every choice of \(\rho \) satisfying the above hypotheses.

Let \(\pi :{\mathbb {P}}({\mathcal {O}}(0)\oplus {\mathcal {O}}(k))\rightarrow {\mathbb {P}}^{n-1}\) be a projective bundle over \({\mathbb {P}}^{n-1}\) with \(1\le k \le n-1\). We denote \({\mathbb {P}}({\mathcal {O}}(0)\oplus {\mathcal {O}}(k))\) by \(N_{k}^{n}\) and endow it with the U(n)-invariant gradient shrinking Kähler Ricci soliton structure constructed by Cao (Elliptic and parabolic methods in geometry (Minneapolis, MN, 1994), A K Peters, Wellesley, 1996) and Koiso (Recent topics in differential and analytic geometry. Advanced studies in pure mathematics, Boston, 1990). In this paper, we show that lens space \(L(k\, ;1)(r)\) with radius r embedded in \(N_{k}^{n}\) is a self-similar solution. We also prove that there exists a pair of critical radii \(r_{1}<r_{2}\), which satisfies the following. The lens space \(L(k\, ;1)(r)\) is a self-shrinker if \(r<r_{2}\) and self-expander if \(r_{2}<r\), and the Ricci-mean curvature flow emanating from \(L(k\, ;1)(r)\) collapses to the 0-section of \(\pi \) if \(r<r_{1}\) and to the \(\infty \)-section of \(\pi \) if \(r_{1}<r\). This paper gives explicit examples of Ricci-mean curvature flows.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic Dirichlet problem for \(\mathcal {A}\)-harmonic functions on a Cartan-Hadamard manifold whose radial sectional curvatures outside a compact set satisfy an upper bound \( K(P)\le - \frac {1+\varepsilon }{r(x)^{2} \log r(x)} \) and a pointwise pinching condition \( | K(P) |\le C_{K}| K(P^{\prime }) | \) for some constants ε > 0 and C K ≥ 1, where P and \(P^{\prime }\) are any 2-dimensional subspaces of T x M containing the (radial) vector ?r(x) and r(x) = d(o, x) is the distance to a fixed point oM. We solve the asymptotic Dirichlet problem with any continuous boundary data \(f\in C(\partial _{\infty } M)\). The results apply also to the Laplacian and p-Laplacian, \(1<p<\infty ,\) as special cases.  相似文献

Let \(n \ge r \ge s \ge 0\) be integers and \(\mathcal {F}\) a family of r-subsets of [n]. Let \(W_{r,s}^{\mathcal {F}}\) be the higher inclusion matrix of the subsets in \({{\mathcal {F}}}\) vs. the s-subsets of [n]. When \(\mathcal {F}\) consists of all r-subsets of [n], we shall simply write \(W_{r,s}\) in place of \(W_{r,s}^{\mathcal {F}}\). In this paper we prove that the rank of the higher inclusion matrix \(W_{r,s}\) over an arbitrary field K is resilient. That is, if the size of \(\mathcal {F}\) is “close” to \({n \atopwithdelims ()r}\) then \({{\mathrm{rank}}}_{K}( W_{r,s}^{\mathcal {F}}) = {{\mathrm{rank}}}_{K}(W_{r,s})\), where K is an arbitrary field. Furthermore, we prove that the rank (over a field K) of the higher inclusion matrix of r-subspaces vs. s-subspaces of an n-dimensional vector space over \({\mathbb {F}}_q\) is also resilient if \(\mathrm{char}(K)\) is coprime to q.  相似文献
