The nucleus 84Nb has been studied with the 58Ni(28Si,pnγ) reaction at 90 MeV. Several rotational structures are established and connected to an irregular low-energy level scheme which includes one isomeric level whose decay was observed before. The very neutron-deficient isotope 93Pd was produced in fusion-evaporation reactions of a 40Ca beam on a 58Ni target. The reaction products were separated at the GSI Online Mass Separator, using ion sources of the FEBIAD type. The -decay properties of 93Pd were studied by detecting -delayed protons and -delayed -rays. The feeding of excited levels in the daughter nucleus 93Rh and the -decay half-life of 93Pd were determined. The experimental results are discussed in comparison to shell model predictions. This review focusses on recent results obtained by using fusion-evaporation reactions for the production of NZ nuclei, the on-line mass separator of GSI for the preparation of the radioactive samples, and charged-particle and γ-ray detectors for performing decay spectroscopy. The experimental results on prompt and β-delayed disintegration modes are discussed in comparison with theoretical model predictions. In an experiment performed at the GANIL LISE3 facility, radioactive 27S isotopes have been produced by projectile fragmentation of a 95 AMeV 36Ar primary beam. After selection by means of the LISE3 separator, the isotope of interest was implanted in a silicon-detector telescope where its half-life ( T 1/2 = 15.5(15) ms) and its main decay branches were measured. By using the fusion-evaporation reaction 28Si(36Ar,p3n) and spectroscopy of β-delayed γ-rays and charged particles on mass-separated sources, β-decay properties of the neutron-deficient isotope 60Ga were studied for the first time. The half-life of 60Ga was determined to be 70(15) ms, and, based on βγγ coincidences, the isobaric-analogue state in 60Zn was identified at 4851.9(7) keV. A semiempirical proton separation energy value of 40(70) keV was deduced for 60Ga. The experimental results on half-life, mass excess, proton separation energy, and structure of the 60Zn daughter states are discussed in comparison with various model predictions, including large-scale shell model calculations. A recoil distance method was used to measure half-lives of the excited states of 145Sm. The reaction used was 139La(10B, 4n)145Sm. A plunger system was used. Half-lives were determined for two excited states for the first time. The yrast 27/2+ state was found to have a half-life of 1.1 ± 0.2 ns corresponding to the retardation of 3.1 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle estimate of M1. The excitation energy of this state was well reproduced by the shell model calculation having a mixed configuration of [π{h11/2(g7/2)−2 (d5/2)−1}10−, νf7/2] + [π{h11/2(g7/2)−1}9−,νh9/2]. Another retarded E1 transition was also found in a decay of a 21/2+ state. Its retardation was 1.6 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle value. We present a microscopic analysis of the collective behaviour of the lead isotopes in the vicinity of 208Pb. In this study, we rely on a coherent approach based on the Generator Coordinate Method (GCM) including exact projection on N and Z numbers within a collective space generated by means of the constrained Hartree-Fock BCS method. With the same Hamiltonian used in HF + BCS calculations, we have performed a comprehensive study including monopole, quadrupole and octupole excitations as well as pairing vibrations. We find that, for the considered nuclei, the collective modes which modify the most the conclusions drawn from the mean-field theory are the octupole and pairing vibrations. A review of experimental data obtained recently on proton-radioactive nuclei is presented. The highlights include the observation of fine structure in proton emission, for the decays of 131Eu, 145Tm and 146Tm, and the studies of the excited states in proton-emitting nuclei. The observation limits are extended to few nanobarns cross-sections ( 140Ho, 164Ir and 130Eu) and few microsecond half-lives (e.g., 145Tm). Measured decay properties for thirty-nine proton-emitting ground and isomeric states contributed to the understanding of nuclear masses and evolution of single-particle states at and beyond the proton drip line. Experimental results have stimulated new theoretical approaches to proton emission and the structure of unbound narrow resonance states. High spin states of 146Eu were studied by in-beam gamma ray spectroscopic techniques using 140Ce(10B,4n)146Eu and 139La(13C,6n)146Eu reactions. The level scheme was established up to 10MeV. A new high spin isomer with 10ns half life was found. Configurations of yrast states were understood by a weak coupling of f7/2 neutron to those of 145Eu. Received: 2 November 1999  相似文献

Isomers in N = 83 isotones of Z = 60-66, were studied systematically. Their spins and parities are 49/2+ and 27+ for odd and odd-odd nuclei, respectively. Nearly constant excitation energies of these isomers indicated a decrease of a Z = 64 shell gap energy as Z decreases from 64 to 60 within the framework of a deformed independent-particle model (DIPM). Their configurations are [ν(f 7/2 h 9/2 i 13/2),π(h 11/2)2]49/2+ and [ν(f 7/2 h 9/2 i 13/2),π(h 11/2)2(d 5/2)-1]27+ for odd and odd-odd nuclei, respectively. The shape of the yrast states changes suddenly at spin 49/2(odd) and 27(odd-odd) from a near spherical to an oblate shape. Transitions from isomers are highly hindered because of the shape changes. They may be categorized to be shape isomers. The development of a secondary beam produced by using these high-spin isomers is also described. The structure of neutron-rich light nuclei around N = 20, 28 has been investigated at GANIL by means of in-beam gamma spectroscopy using fragmentation reactions of 36S and 48Ca beams on a Be target. Gamma decay of relatively high-lying excited states have been measured for the first time in nuclei around 32Mg and 44S. Level schemes are proposed and discussed for a large number of these neutron-rich nuclei around N = 20 and N = 28. Received: 1 May 2001 / Accepted: 4 December 2001  相似文献

The β decay of 61Ga to its mirror nucleus 61Zn has been measured for the first time by using on-line mass separation and β-delayed gamma-ray spectroscopy. The observed decay strength to the ground state implies superallowed character in accordance with the systematics of the mirror decays in the sd and fp shell. The β feedings observed to four excited states in 61Zn are consistent with earlier spin-parity assignments based on in-beam experiments. The ground-state spin and parity for 61Ga were determined to be 3/2. Received: 28 April 1998 / Revised version: 6 October 1998  相似文献

β-delayed proton precursors 93Pd and 92Rh were produced by the irradiation of 58Ni with a 40Ca beam, and identified using proton-gamma coincidence measurements in combination with a helium-jet fast tape transport system. The half-lives of 93Pd and 92Rh were determined to be 1.3(2), 3.0(8) s, respectively. The measured energy spectrum of β-delayed protons and the estimated relative branching ratios to the final states in the daughter nuclei were fitted by a statistic model calculation, and then the ground-state spin and parity of 93Pd were assigned as 9/2±. In a systematic search through experimental results for transfer reactions, inelastic excitations and other data for 13C we identify states which have no simple structure related to the low-lying states of 12C. We propose that these states have strong α-clustering and that they are related to chain states expected in 13-14C. The properties of these states are discussed on the basis of a molecular orbital model. Received: 12 December 2001 / Accepted: 3 April 2002  相似文献

The structure of Be and C isotopes are investigated based on the molecular-orbit (MO) model. The low-lying states are characterized by several configurations of valence neutrons, which are constructed as combinations of basic orbits. In 10Be, all of the observed positive-parity bands and the negative-parity bands are described within the model. The second 0+ state of 10Be has a large α-α cluster structure, and this is characterized by a (1/2+ σ)2 configuration. An enlargement of the α-α distance due to two-valence neutrons along the α-α axis makes their wave function smooth and reduces the kinetic energy drastically. Furthermore, the contribution of the spin-orbit interaction due to coupling between the S z = 0 and the S z = 1 configurations, is important. In the ground state of 12Be, the calculated energy exhibits similar characteristics, that the remarkable α clustering and the contribution of the spin-orbit interaction make the binding of the state with (3/2- π)2(1/2+ σ)2 configuration properly stronger in comparison with the closed p-shell (3/2- π)2(1/2- π)2 configuration. This is related to the breaking of the N = 8 (closed p-shell) neutron magic number. Also, the molecule-like structure of the C isotopes is investigated using a microscopic α+α+α+n+n+ . . . model. The combination of the valence neutrons in the π- and the σ-orbit is promising to stabilize the linear-chain state against the breathing and bending modes, and it is found that the excited states of 16C are the most promising candidates for such structure. Using the concept of covalent molecular orbitals for neutrons and the known properties of the local α + 16O potential the formation of asymmetric molecular structures in neon isotopes is discussed. Experimental evidence for parity doublets in 21Ne is reviewed and a corresponding band structure for the states in 21Ne at moderate excitation energy of E x = 0-8 MeV is proposed. The structure of some bands can be interpreted as consisting of an instrinsic asymmetric ( 4He + 16O) structure bound by a covalent neutron in σ and π orbitals. An extension of the observed structures to symmetric molecular structures in isotopes of Mg and heavier nuclei is suggested. In particular shape isomers in isotopes of magnesium, namely (He)2O molecules, can be predicted and an extended Ikeda diagram is proposed. Received: 11 July 2001 / Accepted: 22 August 2001  相似文献

The high spin states of 143Gd have been studied via the 111Cd(35Cl,1p2n) reaction at 170 MeV. One dipole cascade has been newly found and two dipole cascades have been extended to higher spin states. A relatively long E2 cascade consisting of irregular transition energies has been found, which has only weak connections to the other dipole and quadrupole cascades. This resembles the ones recently found in 142,143,144Eu and 144Gd. The dipole and quadrupole cascades have been found to appear by turns in an energy increment of about 0.2 MeV above the yrast line. The unknown β-decay half-lives of 22 isotopes far off stability (5 < T Z < 10) in the region from Ti to Ni were measured at GSI, Darmstadt. The nuclei were produced in a fragmentation reaction of 500 A.MeV 86Kr-projectile impinging on a thick Be target. The isotopes of interest were separated and identified with the fragment separator, FRS, by a combination of Bρ,Z, and ToF techniques. An additional range separation was performed by a selective implantation into granular detectors. The spatial and time correlations of the implant with the consecutively detected β-particles were used to determine the unknown half-lives. For nuclei far off stability, β-decay chains were measured and analyzed as well, leading to an even more reliable evaluation of the lifetimes. The large discrepancies found between the measured and the theoretical values emphasize that most recent theoretical work is not an improvement over calculations made almost a decade ago. The γ-ray de-excitations following the β-decay of 83Ga and the β-n decay of 84Ga have been studied. The radioactive species were produced using the PARRNe on-line mass-separator installed at the IPN Orsay Tandem accelerator. Two γ-lines were attributed to 83Ge with the aid of β-γ and γ-γ coincidences. The Z identification of the γ-lines was provided by time analysis of a buid-up/decay cycle. The excited levels of 83Ge can be explained by the coupling of the single neutron state ν2d 5/2 to the first 2+ excitation of the 82Ge core.  相似文献

Beta-decay branching ratios of 62Ga have been measured at the IGISOL facility of the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyv?skyl?. 62Ga is one of the heavier T z = 0 , 0+ → 0+ β -emitting nuclides used to determine the vector coupling constant of the weak interaction and the Vud quark-mixing matrix element. For part of the experimental studies presented here, the JYFLTRAP facility has been employed to prepare isotopically pure beams of 62Ga . The branching ratio obtained, BR = 99.893(24) %, for the super-allowed branch is in agreement with previous measurements and allows to determine the ft value and the universal Ft value for the super-allowed β -decay of 62Ga .  相似文献
