The synthetic methods for new 2-, 2,2′-, and 3-substituted 4,4′-bis(chloromethyl)biphenyls were developed. Quaternization of them with various amines resulted in a series of new double quaternary ammonium salts containing the biphenyl moiety. The majority of the obtained compounds have a pronounced antifungal and antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria.  相似文献

A novel perfluoroalkyl-containing quaternary ammonium salt 5 was designed and synthesized. Consequently, the antimicrobial activities of compound 5 were measured with Escherichia coli 8099 as a Gram-negative strain and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 as a Gram-positive strain. Both the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC, the lowest concentration of compound 5 that inhibits microbial growth) values of quaternary ammonium salt 5 against Escherichia coli 8099 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 were 7.8 μg/ml.  相似文献

Chiral quaternary ammonium salts derived from cinchonidine have been applied to catalyze the stereoselective iodolactonizations of trans-5-aryl-4-pentenoic acids leading to a mixture of two regioselectively iodolactonized products with fair to excellent yield (37-98%) and moderate enantioselectivity (exo = 42.0% ee, endo = 31.0% ee) under mild conditions. This work is the first example of asymmetric iodolactonization reaction in the presence of less than a stoichiometric amount of chiral reagent.  相似文献

13C magnetic resonance spectra of nine quaternary ammonium salts of the general formula R1C1(O)C2H?C3HNR34Cl (where R1, R4 = alkyl) were obtained and compared with those of the parent amino compounds. The chemical shift differences between these two classes of compounds are qualitatively accounted for by π-electron density changes. 14N tickling experiments performed with simultaneous decoupling of substituent protons are used to show that 2J(14N? Hortho) and 3J(14N? Hmeta) are both positive in the N-methyl pyridinium ion and related species. Long range coupling extending over as many as five bonds is observed between N-methyl protons and ring protons in 14N-decoupled spectra. Triple resonance decoupling is used to permit an analysis of the AA′MM′ spin system given by the ring proton of N-methyl pyrazinium iodide.  相似文献

The study of the quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) on antibacterial activity in a series of new imidazole derivatives against Staphylococcus aureus was conducted using artificial neural networks (ANNs). Antibacterial activity against S. aureus was associated with a number of physicochemical and structural parameters of the examined imidazole derivatives. The designed regression and classification models were useful in determining the antibacterial properties of quaternary ammonium salts against S. aureus. The developed models of artificial neural networks were characterized by high predictability (93.57% accuracy of classification, regression model: training data R = 0.92, test data R = 0.92, validation data R = 0.91). ANNs are considered to be a useful tool in supporting the design of synthesis and further biological experiments in the logical search for new antimicrobial substances. Data analysis using ANNs enables the optimization and reduction of labor costs by narrowing the compound synthesis to achieve the desired properties.  相似文献

The synthesis of three new stereoregular AB-type polyamides based on D -ribono-1,4-lactone, L -arabinose, and D -xylose has been carried out by the active ester polycondensation method. These polyamides were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopies, and powder X-ray diffraction. They displayed optical activity and had a pronounced affinity to water, although they were not soluble in this solvent. The polyamide obtained from D -ribono-1,4-lactone was highly crystalline and yielded films with spherulitic texture. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A convenient methodology for the synthesis of optically active selenols, derived from p-menthane, carane, and pinane, is described. The selenols were oxidized with air to give the optically active diselenides, and were also converted into the corresponding allylic selenides via reaction with Z- and E-cinnamyl, geranyl, and neryl chlorides. Oxidation of the allylic selenides with mCPBA gave the optically active alcohols via [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of the in situ generated allylic selenoxides.  相似文献

A series of novel double quaternary ammonium salts based on 5,5-dioxo-5H-dibenzo[b,d]thiophene has been prepared via quaternization of the corresponding 3,7-bis(chloromethyl)dibenzothiophene-5,5-diones with various N,N-dimethylalkylamines. A convergent synthesis of chiral imidazo-[1,5-a]-pyridinium salts is described by facile introduction of a stereogenic center via the N2 substituent. Conversion of these optically active salts to the corresponding N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and their trapping with sulfur followed by optical activity measurements are discussed.  相似文献
