The coordination chemistry of the potentially semilabile tridentate ligand 2-pyridylbis(diphenylphosphino)methane (NPP) has been investigated. Bidentate (N, P) coordination occurs in CoCl(2)(NPP) (1) and [CdX(mu-X)(NPP)](2) (X = Cl (2); OAc (3)), prepared from the corresponding metal salts, in fac-Re(CO)(3)Br(NPP) (4) and in Fe(CO)(2)(MA)(NPP) (6). The last is one of three products from the reaction of Fe(CO)(4)(MA) (MA = maleic anhydride) with NPP, the other two being Fe(CO)(3)(NPP) (7; P, P coordinated) and the unusual cyclic ylid Ph2PC(2-C5H4N)PPh2C(CH2CO2H)C(=O)(5). The ligand shows tridentate coordination in Cr(CO)(3)(NPP) (9), RuCl(2)(PPh(3))(NPP) (10), and possibly in PtCl(2)(NPP) (8). Carbon monoxide displaces one phosphorus arm of the ligand in 10. Anhydrous NiCl(2) and NPP react in the presence of methanol to give NiCl(2)(P(OMe)Ph(2))(Ph(2)PCH(2)py) (12) in which the NPP ligand has been cleaved. This in turn reacts with O(2) to form trans-NiCl(2)(Ph(2)P(O)CH(2)py)(2) (13). The methine proton of NPP is transferred to the metal on reaction with Pt(C(2)H(4))(PPh(3))(2) and [Ir(COD)(NPP)]BF(4) to form the hydride complexes Pt(H)(PPh(3))(NPP-H) (14) and [Ir(H)(NPP)(NPP-H)]BF(4) (15). In 15 the intact NPP ligand is tridentate. The structures of 1 - 7 and 12 - 15 have been determined.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear nickel(II) bis(diphosphine) complexes [Ni(P(Ph)(2)N(C6H4X)(2))(2)](BF(4))(2) (P(Ph)(2)N(C6H4X)(2) = 1,5-di(para-X-phenyl)-3,7-diphenyl-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane; X = OMe, Me, CH(2)P(O)(OEt)(2), Br, and CF(3)) have been synthesized and characterized. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that [Ni(P(Ph)(2)N(C6H4Me)(2))(2)](BF(4))(2) and [Ni(P(Ph)(2)N(C6H4OMe)(2))(2)](BF(4))(2) are tetracoordinate with distorted square planar geometries. The Ni(II/I) and Ni(I/0) redox couples of each complex are electrochemically reversible in acetonitrile with potentials that are increasingly cathodic as the electron-donating character of X is increased. Each of these complexes is an efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen production at the potential of the Ni(II/I) couple. The catalytic rates generally increase as the electron-donating character of X is decreased, and this electronic effect results in the favorable but unusual situation of obtaining higher catalytic rates as overpotentials are decreased. Catalytic studies using acids with a range of pK(a) values reveal that turnover frequencies do not correlate with substrate acid pK(a) values but are highly dependent on the acid structure, with this effect being related to substrate size. Addition of water is shown to dramatically increase catalytic rates for all catalysts. With [Ni(P(Ph)(2)N(C6H4CH2P(O)(OEt)2)(2))(2)](BF(4))(2) using [(DMF)H](+)OTf(-) as the acid and with added water, a turnover frequency of 1850 s(-1) was obtained.  相似文献

Sequential reaction of two different hemilabile ligands (Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)X)(2)Ar (X = S, Ar = C(6)H(4) or C(6)(CH(3))(4); X = NCH(3), Ar = C(6)H(4); X = O, Ar = 9,10-C(14)H(8)) with a Rh(I) metal center resulted in the formation of heteroligated metallomacrocycles in high yield. The specific reaction conditions for each pair of hemilabile ligands are discussed. The solid-state structure of [[1,4-(Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)S)(2)C(6)H(4)]-[1,4-(Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)S)(2)C(6)(CH(3))(4)]Rh(2)](BF(4))(2), as determined by X-ray crystallography, is presented.  相似文献

The self-assembly of complex cationic structures by combination of cis-blocked square planar palladium(II) or platinum(II) units with bis(pyridyl) ligands having bridging amide units has been investigated. The reactions have yielded dimers, molecular triangles, and polymers depending primarily on the geometry of the bis(pyridyl) ligand. In many cases, the molecular units are further organized in the solid state through hydrogen bonding between amide units or between amide units and anions. The molecular triangle [Pt(3)(bu(2)bipy)(3)(mu-1)(3)](6+), M = Pd or Pt, bu(2)bipy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine, and 1 = N-(4-pyridinyl)isonicotinamide, stacks to give dimers by intertriangle NH.OC hydrogen bonding. The binuclear ring complexes [[Pd(LL)(mu-2)](2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4), LL = dppm = Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2) or dppp = Ph(2)P(CH(2))(3)PPh(2) and 2 = NC(5)H(4)-3-CH(2)NHCOCONHCH(2)-3-C(5)H(4)N, form transannular hydrogen bonds between the bridging ligands. The complexes [[Pd(LL)(mu-3)](2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4), LL = dppm or dppp, L = PPh(3), and 3 = N,N'-bis(pyridin-3-yl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide, and [[Pd(LL)(mu-4)](2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4), LL = dppm, dppp, or bu(2)bipy, L = PPh(3), and 4 = N,N'-bis(pyridin-4-yl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide, are suggested to exist as U-shaped or square dimers, respectively. The ligands N,N'-bis(pyridin-3-yl)isophthalamide, 5, or N,N'-bis(pyridin-4-yl)isophthalamide, 6, give the complexes [[Pd(LL)(mu-5)](2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4) or [[Pd(LL)(mu-6)](2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4), but when LL = dppm or dppp, the zigzag polymers [[Pd(LL)(mu-6)](x)](CF(3)SO(3))(2)(x) are formed. When LL = dppp, a structure determination shows formation of a laminated sheet structure by hydrogen bonding between amide NH groups and triflate anions of the type NH-OSO-HN.  相似文献

Reaction of H(3)L(1), the Schiff base condensate of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine with three equivalents of 5-methyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxaldehyde, with manganese(II)perchlorate or iron(II)tetrafluoroborate results in the isolation of [MH(3)L(1)]X(2) (M = Mn and X = ClO(4) and M = Fe and X = BF(4)). These complexes are high spin d(5) and d(6), respectively, as inferred from the long M-N bond distances obtained by single crystal X-ray diffraction for both and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility and M?ssbauer spectroscopy for the iron complex. Aerobic treatment of a solution of [CoH(3)L(1)](2+) with three equivalents of potassium hydroxide produced [CoL(1)]. Homonuclear pseudo-dimers were prepared by the aerobic reaction of [FeH(3)L(1)](BF(4))(2) with 1.5 equivalents of potassium hydroxide to give {[FeH(1.5)L(1)](BF(4))}(2) or by the metathesis reaction of [FeH(2)L(1)][FeHL(1)](ClO(4))(2) with sodium hexafluorophosphate to give [FeH(3)L(1)][FeL(1)](PF(6))(2). The complexes were characterized by EA, IR, ESI-MS, variable temperature single crystal x-ray diffraction and M?ssbauer spectroscopy. The iron(III) atom is low spin while the iron(II) atom is spin crossover. Heteronuclear pseudo-dimers were prepared by the 1:1 reaction of [FeH(3)L(1)](BF(4))(2) or [MnH(3)L(1)](ClO(4))(2) with [CoL(1)]. [MH(3)L(1)][CoL(1)](X)(2) (M = Fe and X = BF(4) or M = Mn and X = ClO(4)), were characterized by IR, EA, variable temperature single crystal X-ray diffraction and M?ssbauer spectroscopy in the iron case. The data support a spin crossover and high spin assignment for the iron(II) and manganese(II), respectively. DFT calculations demonstrate that the spin state of the iron(II) atom in {[FeH(3)L(1)][FeL(1)]}(2+) changes from high spin to low spin as the iron(II)-iron(III) distance decreases. This is supported by experimental results and is a result of hydrogen bonding interactions which cause a significant compression of the M(II)-N(pyrazole) bond distances.  相似文献

A series of [Ni(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) complexes containing the cyclic diphosphine ligands [P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2) = 1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane; R = benzyl (Bn), n-butyl (n-Bu), 2-phenylethyl (PE), 2,4,4-trimethylpentyl (TP), and cyclohexyl (Cy)] have been synthesized and characterized. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the cations of [Ni(P(Bn)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) and [Ni(P(n-Bu)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) have distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometries. The Ni(0) complex [Ni(P(Bn)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)] was also synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction studies and shown to have a distorted tetrahedral structure. These complexes, with the exception of [Ni(P(Cy)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2), all exhibit reversible electron transfer processes for both the Ni(II/I) and Ni(I/0) couples and are electrocatalysts for the production of H(2) in acidic acetonitrile solutions. The heterolytic cleavage of H(2) by [Ni(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(2) complexes in the presence of p-anisidine or p-bromoaniline was used to determine the hydride donor abilities of the corresponding [HNi(P(R)(2)N(Ph)(2))(2)](BF(4)) complexes. However, for the catalysts with the most bulky R groups, the turnover frequencies do not parallel the driving force for elimination of H(2), suggesting that steric interactions between the alkyl substituents on phosphorus and the nitrogen atom of the pendant amines play an important role in determining the overall catalytic rate.  相似文献

Four bis-tetradentate N(4)-substituted-3,5-{bis[bis-N-(2-pyridinemethyl)]aminomethyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands, L(Tz1)-L(Tz4), differing only in the triazole N(4) substituent R (where R is amino, pyrrolyl, phenyl, or 4-tertbutylphenyl, respectively) have been synthesized, characterized, and reacted with M(II)(BF(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M(II) = Cu, Ni or Co) and Co(SCN)(2). Experiments using all 16 possible combinations of metal salt and L(TzR) were carried out: 14 pure complexes were obtained, 11 of which are dinuclear, while the other three are tetranuclear. The dinuclear complexes include two copper(II) complexes, [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4) (2), [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2) (4); two nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(H(2)O)(3)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(4)·0.5(CH(3)CN) (5) and [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4)·H(2)O (8); and seven cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (9), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·2H(2)O (10), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(H(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(4) (11), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·3H(2)O (12), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(SCN)(4)]·3H(2)O (13), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(SCN)(4)]·2H(2)O (14), and [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(SCN)(4)]·H(2)O (15). The tetranuclear complexes are [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz1))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(6) (1), [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(μ-F)(2)](BF(4))(6)·0.5H(2)O (3), and [Ni(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-F(2))](BF(4))(6)·6.5H(2)O (7). Single crystal X-ray structure determinations revealed different solvent content from that found by microanalysis of the bulk sample after drying under a vacuum and confirmed that 5', 8', 9', 11', 12', and 15' are dinuclear while 1' and 7' are tetranuclear. As expected, magnetic measurements showed that weak antiferromagnetic intracomplex interactions are present in 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, stabilizing a singlet spin ground state. All seven of the dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes, 9-15, have similar magnetic behavior and remain in the [HS-HS] state between 300 and 1.8 K.  相似文献

The reaction of Ni(COD)(2)(COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with triethylphosphine and pentafluoropyridine in hexane has been shown previously to yield trans-[NiF(2-C(5)NF(4))(PEt(3))(2)](1a) with a preference for reaction at the 2-position of the heteroaromatic. The corresponding reaction with 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoropyridine was shown to yield trans-[NiF(2-C(5)NF(3)H)(PEt(3))(2)](1b). In this paper, we show that reaction of Ni(COD)(2) with triethylphosphine and pentafluoropyridine in THF yields a mixture of 1a and 1b. Competition reactions of Ni(COD)(2) with triethylphosphine in the presence of mixtures of heteroaromatics in hexane reveal a kinetic preference of k(pentafluoropyridine):k(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoropyridine)= 5.4:1. Treatment of 1a and 1b with Me(3)SiN(3) affords trans-[Ni(N(3))(2-C(5)NF(4))(PEt(3))(2)](2a) and trans-[Ni(N(3))(2-C(5)NHF(3))(PEt(3))(2)](2b), respectively. The complex trans-[Ni(NCO)(2-C(5)NHF(3))(PEt(3))(2)](3b) is obtained on reaction of with Me(3)SiNCO and by photolysis of under CO, while trans-[Ni(eta(1)-C [triple bond CPh)(2-C(5)NF(4))(PEt(3))(2)](4a) is obtained by reaction of phenylacetylene with 1a. Addition of KCN, KI and NaOAc to complex 1a affords trans-[Ni(X)(2-C(5)NF(4))(PEt(3))(2)](5a X = CN, 6a X = I, 7a X = OAc), respectively. The PEt(3) groups of complex are readily replaced by addition of 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane (dcpe) to produce [NiF(2-C(5)F(4)N)(dcpe)](8a). Addition of dcpe to trans-[Ni(OTf)(2-C(5)F(4)N)(PEt(3))(2)](10a), however, yields the salt [Ni(2-C(5)F(4)N)(dcpe)(PEt(3))](OTf)(9a) by substitution of only one PEt(3) and displacement of the triflate ligand. The structures of 2b, 4a, 7a and 8a were determined by X-ray crystallography. The influence of different ancillary ligands on the bond lengths and angles of square-planar nickel structures with polyfluoropyridyl ligands is analysed.  相似文献

The transmetallation of the palladacyclopentadiene complex Pd{C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)}(bipy) with the dicationic Pd(II) complex [Pd(bipy)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)](2) afforded a terminally σ-palladated diene complex [Pd(2){μ-η(1):η(1)-C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)}(bipy)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)](2). It was revealed by X-ray crystallographic analysis that replacement of the acetonitrile ligands in a terminally σ-palladated diene complex with PPh(3) ligands resulted in the conformation change of the σ-palladated diene moiety from skewed s-cis to planar s-trans. Treatment of a bis-triphenylphosphine dipalladium complex [Pd(2)(PPh(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)][PF(6)](2) with dimethoxyacetylene dicarboxylate (DMAD) (1 equiv.) in acetonitrile resulted in the insertion of DMAD to the Pd-Pd bond to afford [Pd(2){μ-η(1):η(1)-C(COOMe)C(COOMe)}(PPh(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)][PF(6)](2). Addition of the second DMAD gave the ylide-type complex [Pd(2){μ-η(2):η(3)-C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)C(COOMe)(PPh(3))}(PPh(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)][PF(6)](2) of which the structure was determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis.  相似文献

The dimers [Cu(2)(dppm)(2)(CN-t-Bu)(3)](BF(4))(2) and [Ag(2)(dppm)(2)(CN-t-Bu)(2)](X)(2) (X(-) = BF(4)(-), ClO(4)(-)) and the coordination polymers [[M(diphos)(CN-t-Bu)(2)]BF(4)](n) (M = Cu, Ag; diphos = bis(diphenylphosphino)butane (dppb), bis(diphenylphosphino)pentane (dpppen), bis(diphenylphosphino)hexane (dpph)), [[Ag(2)(dppb)(3)(CN-t-Bu)(2)](BF(4))(2)](n), and [[Ag(dpppen)(CN-t-Bu)]BF(4)](n) have been synthesized and fully characterized as model materials for the mixed bridging ligand polymers which exhibit the general formula [[M(diphos)(dmb)]BF(4)](n) (M = Cu, Ag; dmb = 1,8-diisocyano-p-menthane) and [[Ag(dppm)(dmb)]ClO(4)](n). The identity of four polymers ([[Ag(dppb)(CN-t-Bu)(x)]BF(4)](n) (x = 1, 2), [[Ag(2)(dppb)(3)(CN-t-Bu)(2)](BF(4))(2)](n), [[Ag(dppm)(dmb)]ClO(4)](n)) and the two dimers has been confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The structure of [[Ag(dppm)(dmb)]ClO(4)](n) exhibits an unprecedented 1-D chain of the type "[Ag(dmb)(2)Ag(dppm)(2)(2+)](n)", where d(Ag(.)Ag) values between tetrahedral Ag atoms are 4.028(1) and 9.609(1) A for the dppm and dmb bridged units, respectively. The [[Ag(dppb)(CN-t-Bu)(x)]BF(4)](n) polymers (x = 1, 2) form zigzag chains in which the Ag atoms are tri- and tetracoordinated, respectively. The [[Ag(2)(dppb)(3)(CN-t-Bu)(2)](BF(4))(2)](n) polymer, which is produced from the rearrangement of [[Ag(dppb)(CN-t-Bu)(2)]BF(4)](n), forms a 2-D structure described as a "honeycomb" pattern, where large [Ag(dppb)(+)](6) macrocycles each hosting two counterions and two acetonitrile guest molecules are observed. Properties such as glass transition temperature, morphology, thermal decomposition, and luminescence in the solid state at 293 K are reported. The luminescence bands exhibit maxima between 475 and 500 nm with emission lifetimes ranging between 6 and 55 micros. These emissions are assigned to a metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) of the type M(I) --> pi(NC)/pi(PPh(2)).  相似文献

Structural studies of the Li derivatives indicate association through coordination of the imido nitrogen atoms to Li(+). Deprotonation of the amido-hydroxo complex gives the imido-oxo complex [Pt(2)(mu-O)(mu-NAr)(dppip)(2)].LiBF(4).LiN(SiMe(3))(2), and deprotonation of the dppip Pt hydroxo complex gives the dioxo complex [Pt(mu-O)(dppip)](2).LiN(SiMe(3))(2).2LiBF(4).  相似文献

Slow uptake of molecular dihydrogen by the diiridium(I) prototype [Ir(mu-pz)(PPh(3))(CO)](2) (1: pzH = pyrazole) is accompanied by formation of a 1,2-dihydrido-diiridium(II) adduct [IrH(mu-pz)(PPh(3))(CO)](2) (2), for which an X-ray crystal structure determination reveals that (unlike in 1) the PPh(3) ligands are axial, with the hydrides occupying trans coequatorial positions across the Ir-Ir bond (2.672 A). Reaction with CCl(4) effects hydride replacement in 2, affording the monohydride Ir(2)H(Cl)(mu-pz)(2)(PPh(3))(2)(CO)(2) (3) in which Ir-Ir = 2.683 A. At one metal center, H is equatorial and PPh(3) is axial, while at the other, Cl is axial as is found in the symmetrically substituted product [Ir(mu-pz)(PPh(3))(CO)Cl](2) (4) (Ir-Ir = 2.754 A) that is formed by action of CCl(4) on 1. Treatment of 1 with I(2) yields the diiodo analogue 5 of 4, which reacts with LiAlH(4) to afford the isomorph Ir(2)H(I)(mu-pz)(2)(PPh(3))(2)(CO)(2) (6) of 3 (Ir-Ir = 2.684 A). Protonation (using HBF(4)) of 1 results in formation of the binuclear cation Ir(2)H(mu-pz)(2)(PPh(3))(2)(CO)(2)(+) (7: BF(4)(-) salt), which shows definitive evidence (from NMR) for a terminally bound hydride in solution (CH(2)Cl(2) or THF), but 7 crystallizes as an axially symmetric unit in which Ir-Ir = 2.834 A. Reaction of 7 with water or wet methanol leads to isolation of the cationic diiridium(III) products [Ir(2)H(2)(mu-OX)(mu-pz)(2)(PPh(3))(2)(CO)(2)]BF(4) (8, X = H; 9, X = Me).  相似文献

The ligand 4(3H)-pyrimidone (Hpm) forms the complexes trans-[PdCl(2)(Hpm)(2)] and [Pd(PP)(Hpm)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) (PP = Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2) or Ph(2)P(CH(2))(3)PPh(2)), with the neutral ligand (Hpm), and a bowl-like molecular triangle, [(Pd(bu(2)bipy)(mu-pm))(3)](3+) (bu(2)bipy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine), with the deprotonated ligand (pm). This triangular complex acts as a host for binding of several anionic guests.  相似文献

The reaction of [[RhCl(C(8)H(14))(2)](2)] (2) with iPr(2)PCH(2)CH(2)C(6)H(5) (L(1)) led, via the isolated dimer [[RhCl(C(8)H(14))(L(1))](2)] (3), to a mixture of three products 4 a-c, of which the dinuclear complex [[RhCl(L(1))(2)](2)] (4 a) was characterized by Xray crystallography. The mixture of 4a-c reacts with CO, ethene, and phenylacetylene to give the square-planar compounds trans-[RhCl(L)(L(1))(2)] (L=CO (5), C(2)H(4) (6), C=CHPh (9)). The corresponding allenylidene(chloro) complex trans-[RhCl(=C=C=CPh(2))(L(1))(2)] (11), obtained from 4 a-c and HC triple bond CC(OH)Ph(2) via trans-[RhCl[=C=CHC(OH)Ph(2)](L(1))(2)] (10), could be converted stepwise to the related hydroxo, cationic aqua, and cationic acetone derivatives 12-14, respectively. Treatment of 2 and [[RhCl(C(2)H(4))(2)](2)] (7) with two equivalents of tBu(2)PCH(2)CH(2)C(6)H(5) (L(2)) gave the dimers [[RhCl(C(8)H(14))(L(2))](2)] (15) and [[RhCl(C(2)H(4))(L(2))](2)] (16), which both react with L(2) in the molar ratio of 1:2 to afford the five-coordinate aryl(hydrido)rhodium(III) complex [RhHCl(C(6)H(4)CH(2)CH(2)PtBu(2)-kappa(2)C,P)(L(2))] (17) by C-H activation. The course of the reactions of 17 with CO, H(2), PhC triple bond CH, HCl, and AgPF(6), leading to the compounds 19-21, 24, and 25 a, respectively, indicate that the coordinatively unsaturated isomer of 17 with the supposed composition [RhCl(L(2))(2)] is the reactive species. Labeling experiments using D(2), DCl, and PhC triple bond CD support this proposal. With either [Rh(C(8)H(14))(eta(6)-L(2)-kappaP]PF(6) or [Rh(C(2)H(4))(eta(6)-L(n)-kappaP]PF(6) (n=1 and 2) as the starting materials, the corresponding halfsandwich-type complexes 27, 28, and 32 were obtained. The nonchelating counterpart of the dihydrido compound 32 with the composition [RhH(2)(PiPr(3))(eta(6)-C(6)H(6))]PF(6) (35) was prepared stepwise from [Rh(C(2)H(4))(PiPr(3))(eta(6)-C(6)H(6))]PF(6) and H(2) in acetone via the tris(solvato) species [RhH(2)(PiPr(3))(acetone)(3)]PF(6) (34) as intermediate. The synthesis of the bis(chelate) complex [Rh(eta(4)-C(8)H(12))(C(6)H(5)OCH(2)CH(2)PtBu(2)-kappa(2)O,P)]BF(4) (39) is also described. Besides 4 a, the compounds 17, 25 a, and 39 have been characterized by Xray crystal structure analysis.  相似文献

The reaction of Et(2)PCH(2)N(Me)CH(2)PEt(2) (PNP) with [Ni(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2) results in the formation of [Ni(PNP)(2)](BF(4))(2), which possesses both hydride- and proton-acceptor sites. This complex is an electrocatalyst for the oxidation of hydrogen to protons, and stoichiometric reaction with hydrogen forms [HNi(PNP)(PNHP)](BF(4))(2), in which a hydride ligand is bound to Ni and a proton is bound to a pendant N atom of one PNP ligand. The free energy associated with this reaction has been calculated to be -5 kcal/mol using a thermodynamic cycle. The hydride ligand and the NH proton undergo rapid intramolecular exchange with each other and intermolecular exchange with protons in solution. [HNi(PNP)(PNHP)](BF(4))(2) undergoes reversible deprotonation to form [HNi(PNP)(2)](BF(4)) in acetonitrile solutions (pK(a) = 10.6). A convenient synthetic route to the PF(6)(-) salt of this hydride involves the reaction of PNP with Ni(COD)(2) to form Ni(PNP)(2), followed by protonation with NH(4)PF(6). A pK(a) of value of 22.2 was measured for this hydride. This value, together with the half-wave potentials of [Ni(PNP)(2)](BF(4))(2), was used to calculate homolytic and heterolytic Ni-H bond dissociation free energies of 55 and 66 kcal/mol, respectively, for [HNi(PNP)(2)](PF(6)). Oxidation of [HNi(PNP)(2)](PF(6)) has been studied by cyclic voltammetry, and the results are consistent with a rapid migration of the proton from the Ni atom of the resulting [HNi(PNP)(2)](2+) cation to the N atom to form [Ni(PNP)(PNHP)](2+). Estimates of the pK(a) values of the NiH and NH protons of these two isomers indicate that proton migration from Ni to N should be favorable by 1-2 pK(a) units. Cyclic voltammetry and proton exchange studies of [HNi(depp)(2)](PF(6)) (where depp is Et(2)PCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)PEt(2)) are also presented as control experiments that support the important role of the bridging N atom of the PNP ligand in the proton exchange reactions observed for the various Ni complexes containing the PNP ligand. Similarly, structural studies of [Ni(PNBuP)(2)](BF(4))(2) and [Ni(PNP)(dmpm)](BF(4))(2) (where PNBuP is Et(2)PCH(2)N(Bu)CH(2)PEt(2) and dmpm is Me(2)PCH(2)PMe(2)) illustrate the importance of tetrahedral distortions about Ni in determining the hydride acceptor ability of Ni(II) complexes.  相似文献

A series of picolyl-substituted NHC-bridged triangular complexes of Ag(I) and Cu(I) were synthesized upon reaction of the corresponding ligand precursors, [Him(CH(2)py)(2)]BF(4) (1a), [Him(CH(2)py-3,4-(OMe)(2))(2)]BF(4) (1b), [Him(CH(2)py-3,5-Me(2)-4-OMe)(2)]BF(4) (1c), [Him(CH(2)py-6-COOMe)(2)]BF(4) (1d), and [H(S)im(CH(2)py)(2)]BF(4) (1e), with Ag(2)O and Cu(2)O, respectively. Complexes [Cu(3)(im(CH(2)py)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3) (2a), [Cu(3)(im(CH(2)py-3,4-(OMe)(2))(2))(3)](BF(4))(3) (2b), [Cu(3)(im(CH(2)py-3,5-Me(2)-4-OMe)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3), (2c), [Ag(3)(im(CH(2)py-3,4-(OMe)(2))(2))(3)](BF(4))(3), (3b), [Ag(3)(im(CH(2)py-3,5-Me(2)-4-OMe)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3) (3c), [Ag(3)(im(CH(2)py-6-COOMe)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3) (3d), and [Ag(3)((S)im(CH(2)py)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3) (3e) were easily prepared by this method. Complex 2e, [Cu(3)((S)im(CH(2)py)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3), was synthesized by a carbene-transfer reaction of 3e, [Ag(3)((S)im(CH(2)py)(2))(3)](BF(4))(3), with CuCl in acetonitrile. The ligand precursor 1d did not react with Cu(2)O. All complexes were fully characterized by NMR, UV-vis, and luminescence spectroscopies and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Complexes 2a-2c, 2e, and 3b-3e were additionally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Each metal complex contains a nearly equilateral triangular M(3) core wrapped by three bridging NHC ligands. In 2a-2c and 2e, the Cu-Cu separations are short and range from 2.4907 to 2.5150 ?. In the corresponding Ag(I) system, the metal-metal separations range from 2.7226 to 2.8624 ?. The Cu(I)-containing species are intensely blue photoluminescent at room temperature both in solution and in the solid state. Upon UV excitation in CH(3)CN, complexes 2a-2c and 2e emit at 459, 427, 429, and 441 nm, whereas in the solid state, these bands move to 433, 429, 432, and 440 nm, respectively. As demonstrated by (1)H NMR spectroscopy, complexes 3b-3e are dynamic in solution and undergo a ligand dissociation process. Complexes 3b-3e are weakly photoemissive in the solid state.  相似文献

The complex [Rh(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)(CO)][PF(6)] (1) has been prepared by reaction of the precursor [Rh(mu-Cl)(eta(2)-C(2)H(4))(2)](2), 2,6-bis[4'(S)-isopropyloxazolin-2'-yl]pyridine (pybox), CO, and NaPF(6). Complex 1 reacts with monodentate phosphines to give the complexes [Rh(kappa(1)-N-pybox)(CO)(PR(3))(2)][PF(6)] (R(3) = MePh(2) (2), Me(2)Ph (3), (C(3)H(5))Ph(2) (4)), which show a previously unseen monodentate coordination of pybox. Complex 1 undergoes oxidative addition reactions with iodine and CH(3)I leading to the complexes [RhI(R)(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)(CO)][PF(6)] (R = I (5); R = CH(3) (6)). Furthermore, a new allenyl Rh(III)-pybox complex of formula [Rh(CH=C=CH(2))Cl(2)(kappa(3)-N,N,N-pybox)] (7) has been synthesized by a one-pot reaction from [Rh(mu-Cl)(eta(2)-C(2)H(4))(2)](2), pybox, and an equimolar amount of propargyl chloride.  相似文献

Organocyanamides, Ntbd1;CNR(2) (R = Me or Et), react with trans-[Mo(N(2))(2)(dppe)(2)] (1, dppe = Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2)), in THF, to give the first mixed molybdenum dinitrogen-cyanamide complexes trans-[Mo(N(2))(NCNR(2))(dppe)(2)] (R = Me 2a or Et 2b) which are selectively protonated at N(2) by HBF(4) to yield the hydrazide(2-) complexes trans-[Mo(NNH(2))(NCNR(2))(dppe)(2)][BF(4)](2) (R = Me, 3a, or Et, 3b). On treatment with Ag[BF(4)], oxidation and metal fluorination occur, and the ligating cyanamide undergoes an unprecedented beta-protonation at the unsaturated C atom to form trans-[MoF(NCHNR(2))(dppe)(2)][BF(4)](2) (R = Me, 4a, or Et, 4b) compounds which present the novel amidoazavinylidene (or amidomethyleneamide) ligands. Complexes 4 are also formed from the corresponding compounds 3, with liberation of ammonia and hydrazine. The crystal structure of 2b was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis which indicates that the N atom of the amide group has a trigonal planar geometry.  相似文献
