A new copper-mediated cross-coupling of arenes and arylboronic acids is described. Under the influence of Cu(OCOCF 3) 2, the C-H bond arylation of electron-rich arenes with arylboronic acids takes place to afford a range of biaryls in good yields. The reaction is selective for cross-coupling; no homocoupling product arising from arenes or arylboronic acids is detected. Multiple C-H bond arylation is possible with indoles and pyrroles furnishing interesting extended pi-systems. 相似文献

A mild and efficient ligand-free palladium-catalyzed direct C-H bond arylation reaction was developed to afford 2-hydroxybenzophenones in good to excellent yields from easily available 2-hydroxybenzaldehydes and arylboronic acids. The given reaction provided one of the easiest pathways for accessing 2-hydroxybenzophenones, and a variety of functional groups could be tolerated in this process. 相似文献

Kinetic data for the C-H bond activation of 2-phenylpyridine by Ru(II)(carboxylate)(2)(p-cymene) I (acetate) and I' (pivalate) are available for the first time. They reveal an irreversible autocatalytic process catalyzed by the coproduct HOAc or HOPiv (acetonitrile, 27 °C). The overall reaction is indeed accelerated by the carboxylic acid coproduct and water. It is retarded by a base, in agreement with an autocatalytic process induced by HOAc or HOPiv that favors the dissociation of one carboxylate ligand from I and I' and consequently the ensuing complexation of 2-phenylpyridine (2-PhPy). The C-H bond activation initially delivers Ru(O(2)CR)(o-C(6)H(4)-Py)(p-cymene) A or A', containing one carboxylate ligand (OAc or OPiv, respectively). The overall reaction is accelerated by added acetates. Consequently, C-H bond activation (faster for acetate I than for pivalate I') proceeds via an intermolecular deprotonation of the C-H bond of the ligated 2-PhPy by the acetate or pivalate anion released from I or I', respectively. The 18e complexes A and A' easily dissociate, by displacement of the carboxylate by the solvent (also favored by the carboxylic acid), to give the same cationic complex B(+) {[Ru(o-C(6)H(4)-Py)(p-cymene)(MeCN)](+)}. Complex B(+) is reactive toward oxidative addition of phenyl iodide, leading to the diphenylated 2-pyridylbenzene. 相似文献

A new method for the catalytic C-H arylation of heteroarenes and arenes that manifests high activity paired with reasonably broad scope was developed. Under the catalytic influence of RhCl(CO){P[OCH(CF3)2]3}2 and Ag2CO3, the direct C-H arylation of heteroarenes/arenes with aryl/heteroaryl iodides took place to afford a range of biaryls in good to excellent yields with high regioselectivity. [reaction: see text] The synthesis and catalytic evaluation of palladium complexes containing imidazolyl carbene ligand of varying steric and electronic properties is reported. These complexes catalyze the efficient C-H arylation of SEM-protected azole heteroarenes and thus provide a good method for preparation of a wide range of arylated free (NH)-azoles including pyrroles, indoles, imidazoles, and imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines. Oxidative annulations for the synthesis of carbocycles were developed using a catalytic palladium(II) system. Indoles with pendant olefin tethers were oxidatively cyclized to form annulated products. Electron-rich aromatic systems were also investigated, culminating in the synthesis of benzofurans and dihydrobenzofurans by a similar protocol. These reactions were demonstrated to proceed by an initial C-H bond functionalization event, followed by olefin insertion and β-hydride elimination. 相似文献

We present a new, practical method by which N-substituted indoles may be selectively arylated in the C2-position with good yields, low catalyst loadings, and a high degree of functional group tolerance. Our investigation found that two competitive processes, namely, the desired cross-coupling and biphenyl formation, were operative in this reaction. A simple kinetic model was formulated that proved to be instructive and provided useful guidelines for reaction optimization; the approach described within may prove to be useful in other catalytic cross-coupling processes. 相似文献

Oxidative coupling of three different arenes and a thiophene derivative with various arylboronic acids was achieved with a [RhCl(C2H4)2]2/P[p-(CF3)C6H4]3 catalyst system. Commercially available 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-N-oxyl radical (TEMPO) was used as a stoichiometric oxidant. A 2-pyridyl group and an imine functional group served as ortho-directing groups to mediate the direct C-H arylation by a Rh complex. The reaction involves a C-H bond activation directed by a neighboring nitrogen atom. Palladium-catalyzed C-H activation reactions directed by a removable 2-pyridylsulfinyl group were developed. Aromatic olefination products were formed in good yields on treatment of 2-(phenylsulfinyl)pyridines with alkenes in the presence of a Pd catalyst. The reaction tolerates a wide range of substituted alkenes, including various acrylates and styrenes. The controlled experiments indicated that the 2-pyridyl moiety, rather than the sulfinyl, played the role of ligand. The final reductive desulfonylation affords the stilbenes, sulfides, and disulfides with different reductive conditions, respectively. More importantly, this transformation could also be applied in arylation through dual C-H activation. 相似文献
