A Generalization of Tyuriemskih's Lethargy Theorem and Some Applications

Tyuriemskih's Lethargy Theorem is generalized to provide a useful tool for establishing when a sequence of (not necessarily) linear operators that converges point wise to the identity operator actually converges arbitrarily slowly. Then this generalization is used to answer affirmatively a 2010 conjecture of ours as well as establishing that all of the classical operators of Bernstein, Hermite-Fejer, Landau, Fejer, and Jackson converge arbitrarily slowly to the identity operator (and not just almost arbitrarily slowly as we established in 2010).     

损伤粘弹性力学的广义变分原理及应用

从粘弹性材料的Boltzmann迭加原理和带空洞材料的线弹性本构关系出发,提出了一种损伤粘弹性材料具有广义力场的本构模型．应用变积方法得到了以卷积形式表示的泛函,并建立了损伤粘弹性固体的广义变分原理和广义势能原理．把它们应用于带损伤的粘弹性Timoshenko梁,得到了Timoshenko梁的统一的运动微分方程、初始条件和边界条件． 这些广义变分原理为近似求解带损伤的粘弹性问题提供了一条途径．

本文首先将Ekeland变分原理推广成一般的形式,然后考虑(P.S.)′条件与泛函的强制性之间的关系.     

Comparison results for initial value problems of second-order impulsive integro-differential inclusions

In this paper, we present new maximum and minimum principles for the initial value problem for a class of second-order nonlinear impulsive integro-differential inclusions with discontinuous multivalued functions on the right hand side in a real Banach space. This allows us to lead on to the development of the comparison principle and monotone iterative technique for a nonlinear second-order impulsive integro-differential inclusion.     

Conditioning and Regularization of Nonsymmetric Operators

In this paper, we study conditioning problems for convex and nonconvex functions defined on normed linear spaces. We extend the notion of upper Lipschitzness for multivalued functions introduced by Robinson, and show that this concept ensures local conditioning in the nonconvex case via an abstract subdifferential; in the convex case, we obtain complete characterizations of global conditioning in terms of an extension of the upper-Lipschitz property.     

广义变分原理在非线性结构分析中的应用

本文讨论在结构力学中用拉格朗日乘子法建立的广义变分原理以分析非线性超静定结构。我们假定结构的材料关于应力-应变的关系具有σ=Bε1/m或τ=Cγ1/m的形式,即结构的物理方程具有幂函数的形式。文中举出几个超静定结构的例子,例如桁架、梁、刚架和扭杆。

土体材料本构特性的差异问题与大变形问题是分析岩土材料变形特性的基本问题．根据有限变形的描述方法构筑土体结构大变形固结方程,证明了大变形固结的变分原理A·D2应用分区子结构的连续条件,推导固结理论的分区变分原理．引用Lagrange乘子法构筑并证明了大变形固结问题在无约束状态下的广义分区变分原理．     

压电热弹性动力学的Gurtin型分区变分原理

建立有关压电热弹性动力学的各种Gurtin型分区变分原理,由此变分原理可以得到压电热弹性动力学所有方程式、关系式和边界条件,并且可以直接得到各相邻区域交界面上的连续条件。Gurtin型分区变分原理是压电热弹性动力学的重要组成部分,并能反映压电热弹性动力学初值-边值问题的全部特征。     

A transfer principle for multivalued stochastic differential equations

In this paper we prove a transfer principle for multivalued stochastic differential equations.     

KKM-type theorems for best proximity points

Let us consider two nonempty subsets A,B of a normed linear space X, and let us denote by 2^B the set of all subsets of B. We introduce a new class of multivalued mappings {T:A→2^B}, called R-KKM mappings, which extends the notion of KKM mappings. First, we discuss some sufficient conditions for which the set ∩{T(x):x∈A} is nonempty. Using this nonempty intersection theorem, we attempt to prove a extended version of the Fan-Browder multivalued fixed point theorem, in a normed linear space setting, by providing an existence of a best proximity point.     

On the almost periodic solutions of Lattices equations

By using the Ekeland variational principle and the calculus of variations in mean, we study the existence of almost periodic solutions of a class of advanced-retarded differential equation. We show that under some hypothesis, for any given almost periodic forcing term can be ‘perturbed’ so that the corresponding forced equation admits an almost periodic solution.     

Equilibrium Problems with Generalized Monotone Bifunctions and Applications to Variational Inequalities

This paper attempts to generalize and unify several new results that have been obtained in the ongoing research area of existence of solutions for equilibrium problems. First, we propose sufficient conditions, which include generalized monotonicity and weak coercivity conditions, for existence of equilibrium points. As consequences, we generalize various recent theorems on the existence of such solutions. For applications, we treat some generalized variational inequalities and complementarity problems. In addition, considering penalty functions, we study the position of a selected solution by relying on the viscosity principle.     

Combined effects of singular and critical nonlinearities in elliptic problems

In this paper we consider the existence and multiplicity of positive weak solutions for a class of elliptic problems with the nonlinearity containing both singular and critical terms. By means of the concentration compactness principle due to Lions and Ekeland’s variational principle, two positive weak solutions are obtained.     

Proper Efficiency in Locally Convex Topological Vector Spaces

We present a general treatment of proper efficiency, which was originally given in normed vector spaces; we introduce a new kind of efficiency in locally convex topological vector spaces. We examine the relationships among these efficiencies. As an application, we prove a strong Ekeland variational principle.
