We first prove that the Cauchy problem of the Kawahara equation, δtu + uδxu +βδx^3u+γδx^5u = 0, is locally solvable if the initial data belong to H^r(R) and r〉 r≥-7/5, thus improving the known local well-posedness result of this equation. Next we use this local result and the method of "almost conservation law" to prove that global solutions exist if the initial data belong to H^r(R) and r〉-1/2.  相似文献

We extend the results for 2-D Boussinesq equations from ℝ2 to a bounded domain Ω. First, as for the existence of weak solutions, we transform Boussinesq equations to a nonlinear evolution equation U t + A(t, U) = 0. In stead of using the methods of fundamental solutions in the case of entire ℝ2, we study the qualities of F(u, υ) = (u · ▽)υ to get some useful estimates for A(t, U), which helps us to conclude the local-in-time existence and uniqueness of solutions. Second, as for blow-up criterions, we use energy methods, Sobolev inequalities and Gronwall inequality to control and by and . Furthermore, can control by using vorticity transportation equations. In this paper we discuss the least-square estimator of the unknown change point in a mean shift for moving-average processes of ALNQD sequence. The consistency and the rate of convergence for the estimated change point are established. The asymptotic distribution for the change point estimator is obtained. The results are also true for ρ-mixing, φ-mixing, α-mixing sequences under suitable conditions. These results extend those of Bai, who studied the mean shift point of a linear process of i.i.d, variables, and the condition ∑j=0^∞j|aj| 〈 ∞ in Bai is weakened to ∑j=0^∞|aj|〈∞.  相似文献

Consider the partly linear regression model ,where yi's are responses, xi = (xi1, xi2,…,xip)' and ti ∈T are known and nonrandom design points, T is a compact set in the real line is an unknown parameter vector, g(·) is an unknown function and {Ei} isa linear process, i.e., random variables with zeromean and variance o2e. Drawing upon B-spline estimation of g(·) and least squares estimation of 0, we construct estimators of the autocovariances of {Ei}- The uniform strong convergence rate of these estimators to their true values is then established. These results not only are a compensation for those of [23], but also have some application in modeling error structure. When the errors {Ei} are an ARMA process, our result can be used to develop a consistent procedure for determining the order of the ARMA process and identifying the non-zero coefficients of the process. Moreover, our result can be used to construct the asymptotically efficient estimators for parameters in the ARMA error process.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to studying the initial value problems of the nonlinear Kaup Kupershmidt equations δu/δt + α1 uδ^2u/δx^2 + βδ^3u/δx^3 + γδ^5u/δx^5 = 0, (x,t)∈ E R^2, and δu/δt + α2 δu/δx δ^2u/δx^2 + βδ^3u/δx^3 + γδ^5u/δx^5 = 0, (x, t) ∈R^2. Several important Strichartz type estimates for the fundamental solution of the corresponding linear problem are established. Then we apply such estimates to prove the local and global existence of solutions for the initial value problems of the nonlinear Kaup- Kupershmidt equations. The results show that a local solution exists if the initial function u0(x) ∈ H^s(R), and s ≥ 5/4 for the first equation and s≥301/108 for the second equation.  相似文献

In this paper we study solvability of the Cauchy problem of the Kawahara equation 偏导dtu + au偏导dzu + β偏导d^3xu +γ偏导d^5xu = 0 with L^2 initial data. By working on the Bourgain space X^r,s(R^2) associated with this equation, we prove that the Cauchy problem of the Kawahara equation is locally solvable if initial data belong to H^r(R) and -1 〈 r ≤ 0. This result combined with the energy conservation law of the Kawahara equation yields that global solutions exist if initial data belong to L^2(R).  相似文献

This article focuses on the study of an age structured SEIRS epidemic model with a vaccinationprogram when the total population size is not kept at constant.We first give the explicit expression of thereproduction number R(ψ,(?)) in the presence of vaccine ((?) is the exponent of growth of total population),andshow that the infection-free steady state is linearly stable if R(ψ,(?))<1 and unstable if R(ψ,(?))>1,then weapply the theoretical results to vaccination policies to determine the optimal age or ages at which an individualshould be vaccinated.It is shown that the optimal strategy can be either one- or two-age strategies.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to prove the existence of an exponential attractor for the semiflow generated by a nonlinear Boussinesq equation. We formulate the Boussinesq equation as an abstract equation in the Hilbert space H0^2(0, 1) × L^2(0, 1).
