This paper studies the model reduction problem with emphasis on closed loop performance. First, the admissible fixed order models are identified as the ones that are simultaneously stabilizable with the high order process. A complete parametrization of this set in terms of stable parameters that satisfy cubic equality constraints is developed. An optimization problem is then formulated so that its solution identifies the fixed order model that satisfies nominal performance specifications, it is simultaneously stabilizable with the actual process and the actual closed loop optimally satisfies the nominal performance specifications. This nonlinear, infinite dimensional optimization problem is solved by means of exact penalty functions and an asymptotic approximation procedure. An illustrative example is also presented.  相似文献

Simulation, design optimization and controller design of modern machine tools heavily rely on adequat numerical models. In order to achieve results in shorter computation times, reduced order models (ROMs) are applied in either of these tasks. Most modern simulation tools expect these ROMs to come in standard state space form. Structural models of the machine tool are however of second order type. In case piezo actuators are used in the device they are even differential algebraic equations (DAEs) of index one due to the coupling to the equations describing the electric potentials. This contribution is dedicated especially to those systems. We combine the ideas for balanced truncation model order reduction of large and sparse index 1 DAEs with methods developed for the efficient numerical handling of second order systems. We consider the numerical treatment of systems of second order differential-algebraic equations (DAEs). The classical approach of transforming a second order system to first order by introducing new variables can lead to difficulties such as an increase in the index or the loss of structure. We show how we can compute an equivalent strangeness-free second order system using the derivative array approach and we present Runge-Kutta methods for the direct numerical solution of second order DAEs. Integral inequalities that concern the weighted positivity of a differential operator have important applications in qualitative theory of elliptic boundary value problems. Despite the power of these inequalities, however, it is far from clear which operators have this property. In this paper, we study weighted integral inequalities for general second order elliptic systems in ℝ n (n ≥ 3) and prove that, with a weight, smooth and positive homogeneous of order 2–n, the system is weighted positive only if the weight is the fundamental matrix of the system, possibly multiplied by a semi-positive definite constant matrix.   相似文献

为满足解大规模动态系统常微分方程组对精度和速度权衡的要求,提出了一种基于误差限的大规模系统自适应模型降阶方法,其中方法的误差分析基于时域最大误差限,降阶方法基于SVD-Krylov子空间的方法.方法既考虑了算法的复杂性,又保证了算法的精度.通过对典型实例分析,结果表明该方法在给定相对误差限10~(-4)下得出的降阶阶数在不同频率下都能给出很好的近似精度,低频1~10Hz平均相对误差为1.1812×10~(-5),高频1~10GHz平均相对误差为5.6408×10~(-5),即在很宽的频率范围内都能满足精度要求.  相似文献

We consider the spectral structure of a quadratic second order system boundary-value problem. In particular we show that all but a finite number of the eigenvalues are real and semi-simple. We develop the eigencurve theory for these problems and show that the order of contact between an eigencurve and the parabola gives the Jordan chain associated with the eigenvector corresponding to that eigencurve. Following this we use our knowledge of the eigencurves to obtain eigenvalue asymptotics. Finally the completeness of the eigenfunctions is studied using operator matrix techniques. It should be noted here that the usual left definiteness assumptions have been overcome in this study.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop the local linking theorem given by Li and Willein by replacing the Palais-Smale condition with a Cerami one, and apply it to the study of the existence of periodic solutions of the nonautonomous second order Hamiltonian systems (H) ü+A(t)u+∨V(t, u)=0, u∈R^N, t∈R. We study the existence of periodic solutions of second order superlinear dynamical systems with a singularity of repulsive type. The proof is based on a well-known fixed point theorem for completely continuous operators. We do not need to consider so-called strong force conditions. 本文通过对传统高阶马尔可夫链模型的状态空间进行阶数重构,导出一个在重构状态空间上的降阶马尔可夫模型。理论分析证明,降阶马尔可夫链模型不但可以描述传统高阶马尔可夫链模型的全部性态,更能表达较传统模型细微的随机结构。然后,应用降阶模型对我国股票指数的动态变化进行实证分析,讨论了阶数的选取和高阶马尔可夫性检验,分析了股票市场内在波动结构。最后,对股指序列作出短期与长期的预测分析。  相似文献

The dynamical behavior of a drill-string is defined by its small diameter-to-length ratio, which makes the string vulnerable to torsional vibrations. In combination with the nonlinear friction characteristic at the drill bit, this can lead to self-excited stick-slip vibrations which are detrimental to the drilling process. The string can be modeled by the Finite Element Method or as a Multi-Body system to represent the distributed character of the system. The analysis of the resulting high-dimensional model is, however, elaborate and time-consuming. We show that through Galerkin Projection onto the first two Characteristic Functions gained from Karhunen-Loève-Transformation, a reduced system can be obtained which reproduces the essential dynamical properties of the original system, e.g. the stick-slip motion. With the reduced system, the linear stability of the drill-string can be analyzed. We show that by reducing the inertia of the rotary table the system can be stabilized. In this paper, we address the problem of controllability for abstract second order neutral integrodifferential systems with impulsive conditions in Banach spaces. Furthermore, we discuss the controllability of second-order neutral integrodifferential systems in finite dimensional spaces. The results are obtained by using strongly continuous cosine families of operators and the Banach fixed point theorem.  相似文献
