In this paper,we consider the Rayleigh-Stokes problem for a heated generalized second grade fluid(RSP-HGSGF)with fractional derivative.An effective numerical method for approximating RSP-HGSGF in a bounded domain is presented.The stability and convergence of the method are analyzed.Numerical examples are presented to show the application of the present technique.  相似文献

This paper presents a method for conformal of a two-connectedregion onto an annulus.The philosophy of the method is toconvert the problem into a Dirichlet problem and to prove thereal part of the analytic function transformation should be aharmonic function satisfying certain boundary conditions.Ac-cording to the theory of harmonic function we can determine theinner radius of the annulus from the condition that the harmonic function defined in two-connected region should be single-valued.It is then easy to see that the imaginary part can directly beobtained with the aid of Cauchy-Riemann conditions.The unknownconstants of integration only influence the argument of imagepoints and can easily be derived by using the one-to-one mappingof region onto an annulus.Without loss of generality,themethod can be used to conformally map other two-connected regionsonto an annulus if they can be subdivided into several rectang-ulars.The method has been programmed for a digital computer.It is demonstrated that the meth  相似文献

The high-order implicit finite difference schemes for solving the fractionalorder Stokes’ first problem for a heated generalized second grade fluid with the Dirichlet boundary condition and the initial condition are given. The stability, solvability, and convergence of the numerical scheme are discussed via the Fourier analysis and the matrix analysis methods. An improved implicit scheme is also obtained. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the mentioned schemes.  相似文献

Based on a modified Darcy's law, Stokes’ first problem was investigated for a second grade fluid in a porous half-space with a heated flat plate. Exact solutions of the velocity and temperature fields were obtained using Fourier sine transforms. In contrast to the classical Stokes’ first problem, there is a steady-state solution for the second grade fluid in the porous half-space, which is a damping exponential function with respect to the distance from the flat plate. The well-known solutions for Newtonian fluids in non-porous or porous half-space appear in limiting cases of our solutions.  相似文献

A problem of unsteady flow of a second grade fluid over flat plates with the impulsive and oscillating motion, starting from rest, and with the wall transpiration is considered. The exact solutions are derived by the Laplace transform, the perturbation techniques, and an extension of the variable separation technique together with similarity arguments. These solutions are written as the sum between the permanent solutions and the transient solutions. The variations of fluid behaviors with various physical parameters are shown graphically and analyzed. The results are validated by comparing the limiting cases of the present paper with the results of the related published articles.  相似文献

We investigate a problem describing the oscillating flow of an incompressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) second grade fluid in a porous half space. Exact solutions for sine and cosine oscillations are developed by applying the Laplace transform method. The total obtained solution is a sum of steady and transient solutions. Particular attention is given to the effects of magnetic and porous medium parameters on the velocity. It is shown that previous results for a non-porous medium and hydrodynamic fluid are the limiting cases of the present problem. The results for velocity are plotted and discussed carefully.  相似文献

The velocity field and the associated tangential tension corresponding to the flow of an Oldroyd-B fluid over a suddenly moved flat plate are determined. The well-known solutions for a Navier–Stokes fluid, as well as those corresponding to a Maxwell fluid and a second-grade one, appear as limiting cases of our solutions. The flow near a wall suddenly set in motion for a viscoelastic fluid with the generalized Oldroyd-B model is studied. The fractional calculus approach is used in the constitutive relationship of fluid model. Exact analytical solutions of velocity and stress are obtained by using the discrete Laplace transform of the sequential fractional derivative and the Fox H-function. The obtained results indicate that some well known solutions for the Newtonian fluid, the generalized second grade fluid as well as the ordinary Oldroyd-B fluid, as limiting cases, are included in our solutions. On a special diseretization mesh, a coupling difference scheme, resulting from central difference scheme and Abrahamsson-Keller-Kreiss box scheme, is proposed and the second order convergence, uniform in the small parameter, is proved. Stokes’ first problem for a Rivlin-Ericksen fluid of second grade in a porous half-space is considered under isothermal conditions. Laplace transform techniques are used to determine the exact solution, temporal limits, small-time expressions, and displacement thickness. In addition, special/limiting cases are noted, energy aspects are covered, and numerical results are presented graphically. Most significantly, it is shown that the flow suffers a jump discontinuity on start-up, that due to this jump a nonpositive steady-state development time can result, and that for a special case of the material constants the flow instantly attains its steady-state configuration.  相似文献

The well-known problem of unidirectional plane flow of a fluid in a half-space due to the impulsive motion of the plate it rests upon is discussed in the context of the second-grade and the Oldroyd-B non-Newtonian fluids. The governing equations are derived from the conservation laws of mass and momentum and three correct known representations of their exact solutions given. This paper deals with the rotational flow of a generalized second grade fluid, within a circular cylinder, due to a torsional shear stress. The fractional calculus approach in the constitutive relationship model of a second grade fluid is introduced. The velocity field and the resulting shear stress are determined by means of the Laplace and finite Hankel transforms to satisfy all imposed initial and boundary conditions. The solutions corresponding to second grade fluids as well as those for Newtonian fluids are obtained as limiting cases of our general solutions. The influence of the fractional coefficient on the velocity of the fluid is also analyzed by graphical illustrations.  相似文献
